I’ve been here twice post COVID-19 closures. I’ve been really stressed from working and really needed a massage and wanted to try this spa. I was able to book very easily, they were very accommodating and clear of their new procedures. I saw Rosy the first time. I was blown away by her massage. She got all my pressure points and I lost all the stiffness and tension in my body as soon as I left. I didn’t realize how badly stiff my neck was until I saw her. Amazing service. I was able to come in again today I saw Ayumi as my friend recommended her as well. She was very friendly and did a very thorough massage and put me to sleep several times! Check out was fast and easy and I will definitely be coming back. Edit Apr 2/2021 I have come back after a long time of not getting any massages. I saw Rabby today and she was amazing! She was able to analyze the condition of my body and fix all the issues I had with my back and shoulders. I also had a lot of neck pain and she was able to make my neck feel completely loose and I felt a lot better. Amazing massage therapist and I would definitely recommend her!!

Effective use of their web registration and customer relationship management system (is started booking online and was away from my computer and they followed up with a call). The spa has a nice ambiance and the massage room was very nice. My therapist was super kind and attentive. The deep tissue massage was great though for the price point I would have expected an RMT receipt (especially when there are posters and the desk staff mention rising rates). Overall a good experience.

I’m very disappointed with this place, starting with how disorganized they are. I’ve booked a customized facial online, put my credit card information, then I fill up a huge form with my personal information, allergies, skin type, concerns etc. When I arrived there I had to fill the form again. So what’s the point? The facial: the therapist brought me to the room and just said: take your cross up, I’ll prepare the product and I’ll be right back. Then I asked: I’ve booked a customized, shouldn’t you talk to me before you prepare the product? Shouldn’t you ask me questions, like what are my concerns? She says: what are your concerns? Then I explained and she said what products she would use and I said Ok. She just stared at me. I said Ok 3 times and she kept staring at me. I finally said: you are making me uncomfortable staring at me like that, what are you waiting for? She looks like a nice person, but she has problems with communication. It was my first time at this spa, how difficult could be to say: you can take your top out, hang here, cover with the blanket etc, normal communication. I guess there’s the language barrier as well. The facial was very poor as well, just a simple routine, everything that I already do at home regularly, she spent more time doing massage in my shoulders, which is not bad, but is not what I’m paying for. And I had to stop at the reception to pay, they said the website just ask the credit card but do not process the payment. Again: what is the point then?

I got the full body massage and facial package and it was exquisite. Very professional and courteous service and all oils used were lightly scented which is great for me because I can be sensitive towards heavy scents. The masseuse made sure the pressure applied was to my liking and she was so pleasant. The facial left my skin feeling so soft! I left feeling relaxed and will definitely be making this location my spa of choice!

Nice, quiet place. Parking in front but limited and costs 2$/1hr. Staff friendly and polite. Massage therapist willing to adapt the pressure to your liking. I came there with very sore lower back pain and tingling in the calfskin, all caused by pinched nerve near spine. This massage didn't do me any good but did give me lots of harm. After pulling and stretching my body for 90min I left with stiff lower back and still all the other symptoms multiplied. If you have pinched nerves or inflammation this is not the right massage for you.

If you want to have a mini vacation and give yourself some relaxation time, this is the place to go! We went there with my husband, and we both are very pleased and happy with our experience. We love Sabai so much and usually we had to travel to a different location. Since New West location is just 5 min walk from our home we definitely stick to them. We bough a package for 132$ CAD from Groupon, what they claim it is 219$ value which includes (Hand and Foot Reflexology). What I got is a terriable random deep tissue massage, she started on my buttocks then my right side of the core then she changed to my left arms and she keeps changing areas not smooth continues massage plus her hand were or her nails was scratching my back. For the hand and reflexology part I think this should not be mentioned in groups because it took her exactly 1 minute to finish my both hand and extra 1 minutes for my both feet so what you get only deep tissue with value 156$ CAD. My therapist name was May “Megumi’s” .

They offer tea, there's relaxing music, plus their bathroom is nice. Booking is easy as well. This location is nice because it's by the water as well. I love this place, and I hope I can go more often.

My boyfriend is from Toronto and this spa is his favourite place to visit when he is in Vancouver. Make sure to try the ginger tea they serve - it is delicious! This was my first experience with Thai Massage and was probably the best massage and facial I have ever received. I loved Sabai Thai Spa because it had the comforts and privacy of a regular spa but the care and attention to detail during my massage and facial were far beyond the regular or even high end spas I've been to. I had the same lady doing both treatments, and I don't know how the same petite woman who was stretching and hitting deep pressure points was able to be so gentle and calming during my facial. It was the most relaxing and slightly painful (in a good way) experience I have ever had. If I'm ever in the Vancouver area again, I will definitely make this a "must do" on my list!

Worth a try! Received a groupon gift certification of the deep tissue massage + scalp + foot / hand massage. The receptionist was pretty standard, nothing good nor bad. The overall massage was professional and decent, I somehow was under the impression that deep tissue massage was supposed to be done by acupressure (I guess it’s the poster outside)....until I got home and realized there are 10+ perfect circles marks along my scapulas....so it was not done by hand! It was the machineeeee! Overall, worth a try, but $120 for a 90 mins massage vs $100 for 60 mins RMT massage Humm, good debate. Haha

Incredible! I came here today with my boyfriend for the first time upon recommendation from a friend. We both received the "Perfect Balance" massage. The decor is beautiful, everything was clean. Covid safety protocol was followed, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Memi was amazing. Everything she did was perfect and with so much care. Best massage I've ever had, and I've had several. I felt like I was on a cloud. My boyfriend unfortunately doesn't recall the name of the lady who did his massage, but he had a great experience as well. We will DEFINITELY be back.

Without question THE BEST massage and facial in Vancouver. I have been to MANY places and this one outshines for tranquility, professionalism, and lasting results. The location in Coquitlam is also great. After my mom passed, this place was a life saver for my step-dad and I. Its more expensive than other options and that is a big deal to me but its truly worth it. My husband will not go for a free massage anywhere but will pay to go here.

This my favorite spa of any spa in Vancouver, hands down (or on, as the case may be)! I love to start every vacation before leaving Vancouver with the Serenity Package. There staff that are usually verygood at asking proactively, but don't hesitate to let them know if you want more or less pressure. Facials all use lovely Eminence Organics products. For the Cardero location, there is some street parking but if you don't get any on the street my suggestion is to walk from the Coal Harbour Community Center parking lot instead of trying the Bayshore's parking, would be a lot cheaper.

Friendly and kind staff as well as beautiful atmosphere. I purchased a package for facial and massage. The air conditioning was off when I arrived. It was pretty warm in there, especially in this Vancouver heat wave we are having. The Thai massage was mediocre and the facial was wonderful. I would have liked to have been told what products were used on my face so I could make a purchase. My friend raved about her head massage. Her therapist also offered a mini sinus massage, as she couldn't breathe after turning onto her back. Not all therapists pay attention to finer details such as this, which is an inconsistent service amongst employees.

I had a 60 mins Siam Blend massage with May and it was the best massage I’ve ever had. The pressure was right! Not too strong and not too light. She focused on very stiff areas like hips, shoulders and arms. She spent enough time on each area of the body and I felt so calm and relaxed after the session :) I’ll do 90 mins next time!

Came for a 90 minute Pure Serenity Package that included a massage and facial. Environment was calming and clean. Would've loved to give 5 stars but when I asked for more pressure, the woman said she would have to charge me an extra $15 dollars. I find this ridiculous as it was already a $277 package. The woman also did not clean the product off of my body. There was a large amount of grainy substance in my hair, all over my neck and shoulders. This may have been a rare instance as this place seems quite amazing with many great reviews. Though my experience was not worth the amount I paid and I was quite disappointed.

I received a Serenity Package gift voucher from a friend and really enjoyed the experience, a great gift of relaxation. The masseuse, Sachiel, was very professional, had great attention to details and a warm personality. I especially appreciated the towel placed on the floor for when I got out of the massage bed so that I didnt slip or perhaps, that I didn't feel the cold floor. Also, I was the last customer there but I didn't feel like I was being rushed out. Do not expect a Spa Utopia like interior, but it was spotless clean and had a pleasant atmosphere overall. The frontdesk staff were courteous and friendly. Will definitely return to STS at this location.

I bought a couples “Pamper Together Spa” package for my boyfriend and I from their October specials. I was able to pay over the phone for my package and book at the same time. They were very professional and accommodating from booking my appointment to the appointment the day of. You have to pay for parking though outside the spa, unless you are transiting there. Their location is very convenient though as it is located at New Westminster skytrain station. The atmosphere and environment is very calming and relaxing when you enter. We were greeted with a smile by the receptionist and checked in. They check your temperature before you use their services and there is an online consent/Covid form you fill out prior to going. Our masseuses introduced themselves shortly after we sat down and led us to our rooms. I had anticipated it to be a room with two massage tables but we both had separate rooms. The package was $209 and included a 60 minute body/foot massage and a facial. It was very relaxing and we both paid $15 extra on top for a deep tissue massage. My masseuse asked me which areas of my body I wanted her to focus on and she addressed all the areas. Loved it there! Would definitely come again and recommend! My bf really liked it there as well.

I love this place! Every time I’ve tried to find a spa or masseuse, it was “were full” “ no availability” until today! An email prompted me to buy a Black Friday deal and the best bonus was… there was “actually an opening” the same day! Then they gave me exact details how to get there. The massage by june(I hope that’s her name) was the best! Lights out, low red light on, room perfect temp, bed heated, such soothing music, amazing hot towels and nice aroma smells, that were perfect for my senses… not the usual strong scents of lavender types. At first this little petite person asked what pressure I liked- “Deep,” I said… and boy did she live up to that! The most amazing 1 1/2 hour massage/facial, with no talking, full absorption of every muscle relaxing… I could barely get up when she was done. Upon leaving, the gentleman at reception was kind enough to give me a swatch of grapefruit to sniff to help make sure I was alert enough to drive. More delightful! I thought I can bare it but the third time I had to tell the masseuse that the towel is way too hot ???? i knew my face will get burnt because after the session my face was really red and painful. I have been going to Sabai Thai in New Westminster location and we have always have a pleasant and great time there especially the facial. We Tried all 3 spa treatments Pure Bliss, Serenity and Balance already. So far New West location has better masseuse there were really good! Too bad our experience in Coal Harbour location was not as good and great! Btw until now my face is really red and burnt. The massage we got from Coal Harbour was very light not even moderate pressure. We are not happy at all with the service and almost didn't want to tip but still we did because we acknowledge the work they have put in.

My mother and sister have been going to Sabai Thai spa for their Thai massage for a long time. I've even gifted it to my best friend as they really take care of you here. Last weekend, I decided to try their spa package for the first time and chose the pure serenity spa package with Aya. It was just glorious! She really focused on my pain points and kneaded them and made a huge difference. The facial I chose was the brightening one and it was so fragrant and soothing - blueberry in the beginning and maybe cucumber and mint in the end? I thought she was just going to put it on my face but I was pleasantly surprised when she applied it on my neck and shoulders as well. I came out feeling super relieved and relaxed.

My masseuse Jessi was professional and courteous, and most importantly it felt like she was present with me rather than going through the motions. A pet peeve of mine is when you go for a massage and they’re just using their elbows and there isn’t enough pressure. Jessi was wonderful and even down to the small details like ensuring I was well covered and comfortable, or removing the towels in a careful way so that even that was relaxing. I sincerely appreciate the extra care she took to make my experience feel special. I also left my phone there accidentally and they were fantastic about it. The packages are such great value too. If you have a coupon/voucher/groupon, make sure to put it in the notes! The staffs are super professional! Somebody called me and stated that my voucher is valid and explained to me regarding the procedure. The location is very convenient too. I can just walk from New Westminster station and used the shortcut, only took me 6 mins walking. Upon arrival, the staff ushered me to the waiting area. I really like the interiors too! Super relaxing! My masseuse therapist is Shaslin. She is super friendly and listened to my concern very well. She paid extra attention to my back and applied the right amount of pressure that I need for my body! After I finished, the staff gave me one big package of Sabai Ginger Tea. It’s more of pressure points using open hands which I see no benefit to. Masseurs & masseuses are not necessarily Thai. There are different nationalities. ???? One of the issues was the voice of new customers coming in talking to the reception in the middle of your relaxation massage. Also, sometimes you could hear the sound of cars passing by. ???? I’ve been to different spas in Vancouver like Smile Thai Spa. I have not received any professional massage by any of them and don’t know why. In a spa, every detail matters from the very beginning including the smell, the hospitality, massage, and after-massage moments. I have not seen such absolute and comprehensive package here. ❗️ My experience at Sabai Thai was normal. I just received a bare minimum quality of massage. Of course the masseuse did her best, but it wasn’t satisfactory. I expect a deep and professional scan by masseurs or masseuses through the message and solving any tight muscles problems and leave you super relaxed. In total, you’ll enjoy the vibe and massage itself. ????

Reception ended up charging us 2 x $129 without explaining. Asked them whether they could instead put the $20 towards our credit on the next visit; was denied. They wouldn't change the price because it was settled with WaySpa gift cards. Confirm before you go. Assuming the gift card is good as cash, they basically shift the marketing expense from their gift cards to consumers. Update: one day after posting the review, staff contacted me to refund the $20. Will make sure they follow up.

Lovely, serene space in Coal Harbour. My massage was fantastic. The massage therapist paid attention to me as to the pressuer I wanted for the massage. Never varied from the moment she started. She was quite and nice to speak to when I wanted to talk. But she als knew that some people just want a rest and not talk when having an extremely relaxing massage. I would definitly recommend this place and this location. Very serene.

This is me and my husband's new place! After years of searching for a decent-priced, serene experience that ALSO does couples packages AND bills to insurance! Wow it is the total package. I made an appointment for my husband on his birthday and he called me right after saying he felt so relieved and the woman had even popped a couple of muscles that were bothering him. He has dealt with back pain for SO SO SO long and my arms and hands are just to weak to handle the work he needs on his back. I am so happy i found this place and now have someone to relieve me of some of MY WORK ???? I have come to the Coal Harbour location twice and have had an excellent experience on both occasions. The first visit, I had a Thai massage and really enjoyed having my body stretched out. Janice was very hospitable - she addressed my problem and applied deep pressure which I like. The second visit, I saw Janice again and had a deep pressure massage which had an oil component to it. I preferred the style of the first treatment but it was still an excellent massage, perhaps more relaxing. I have no reservations recommending this location and highly recommend Janice, especially if you want deep pressure applied in a correct manner.

Peaceful ambiance here, and they have a couples room available for side by side massage with 2 massage therapists...So if you're a newbie or nervous about massage at new places you can take a partner or a friend to enjoy along with you. Masseuses are all lovely Thai/Asian women, so feels very authentic. If you have never done this type of massage I would say that everyone needs to try a Thai massage. It's different to the regular more clinical massage because they stretch the heck out of you along with the massage, which is the reason why I like Thai massage so much. You will get a loose fitting cozy flannel pajama to wear so you aren't naked like a regular massage. Try it you will like it! (no shower rooms here so do before you go)

Overall this Center is one the best ones in BC. I like the interior design and staff attitude. I got 90 mins balancing spa , the masseur was pro and I'm happy with her work. However, the massage room was not quiet and there is a lot of noise hearing from outside, it was chilly as well so I wasn't 100% comfortable during the massage.

This is my 3rd visit to Sabai Thai with my wife and with each visit, my rating for them has decreased. My first visit was very pleasant which led to a second visit. The second visit, both of our sessions were of lower standard than the initial visit. My attendant was not pleasant and rushed me out of the room after I was done. I wasn't even finished dressing and she kept knocking on my door asking me to hurry up. We hadn't been there in awhile and decided to give them another shot since they are so close to our place. I was greeted by Donna and she held out her hand to shake. She only offered her finger tips which I thought was odd. As soon as I laid down I passed out as I was exhausted from work. I was awoken to turn over and realized that my back was tingling. As soon as she got to work on my legs, now awake, I realized why my back was tingling. He hands were dry, rough and cracked. Her hands were causing abrasions on my skin. At that point, I thought I would ride it out as I had already gone through halfway. It would be odd for me to request a new attendant. As I was paying, the receptionist asked how everything was. I explained everything and she apologized and then asked if there was something I was looking for? I was shocked. If you are going to apologize and offer me something, please do so. Don't ask the customer what they think they should get. Shocked by that, I said it is what is it is. She said that the girls work with oils all day and that it is natural for their hands to get dry and cracked... No, that does not happen. The next morning I awoke with red splotches on my back and getting it checked out, I find out that essentially I have athletes foot which was transferred from Donna's hands to my back from the contact and the abrasions. I called them after and told them that Donna should not be touching anyone until her hands heal. The person on the phone again asked if there was something I was looking for. Shocked. I asked to speak with the manager and she said she's not in. I told her again that I advise not letting Donna use her hands. She said she doesn't know anything about that because she wasn't working there yesterday. I called again after work and the person on the phone said that there is no manager at the Cardero location and to send an email from the website. I asked if there was a supervisor, she said she doesn't work often and to call right in the morning. So, who was I speaking with in the morning? There are other places which offer great service with their attendants not having issues with their hands. If you do decide to go to Sabai Thai, make sure you don't get Donna for awhile.

They will do their best to make your visit very pleasant. I usually get the spa packages like Serenity and Perfect Balance. It's always been pleasant and relaxing. From time to time they would have a promo from 25% to 50% discount on almost all their services. I suggest you take advantage of those promos. I've been coming here on and off for years since I met the owners of the spa in 2009 and they are by far THE best Thai spa in the city. The quality is the same, if not better than what you get in Thailand (which I've done) and the staff is always super pro in their online communications and in person. Their ginger tea is an illness fighter! It wasn't available during COVID, but they sell it online. My experience during COVID was pretty much the same as it's always been, only we aren't able to relax in the front lounge like we used to. They use THE BEST products from Eminence Organics for the facials, and my face always smells and looks awesome afterward. The free parking in the lot is also a godsend if you drive, if you can snag one of the 3 spots.

I went there on my birthday for the pure serenity package i was really skeptical as i suffer from rotator cuff injuries i thought i would could out worse. However i came out feeling the best i ever felt in a long time. My shoulder used to crack all the time its stopped for a month! Made my first visit today for a foot reflexology session. I was happy to find out there is such a beautiful space located near my home after having moved from downtown Vancouver to New Westminster. I was a bit surprised that the cost was twice what I paid for the same length of session at a place downtown but I was ready to pamper myself after a year of not going anywhere! Very happy with their standard of care/covid precautions from what I could see and their customer service. The foot reflexology was done laying face up in a massage table and I did miss having a good foot soak and shoulder massage, which I've enjoyed at other places. That being said, my technician Shasciel was lovely and I left refreshed and relaxed. I will be back! It will just be more of a splurge/treat than a regular part of my routine.

Be very specific on how much pressure you like. I said medium and it was way too hard. I should have said something so I cant really blame the girl. I kind of thought maybe it was suppose to feel like that to get out knots etc. I now feel like I have been beaten up on my back and arms.

Siri my best masseuse is now in management due to a surgery. The other lady i had was also wonderful! I told her my neck was stiff and she worked on the knots for a long time. My neck is so much better now! I always go there! My favourite package is the pure serenity ( 1 hour massage with 30 min facial) the prices are great too. My partner and I had our first massage at Sabai Thai coal harbour. We didn't know what to expect as we had a voucher from groupon. Can't be more please with the experience. The spa is beautiful and we both loved our massages. I was a bit worried as I get reactions to lot of products and didn't had any issue. Everything felt great on my skin and smelled amazing. Finished the experience with a nice cup of tea. We had such an hard time waking up afterward as we were so relaxed. We will definitely do it again.

I will preface this review by saying that I used to be a massage therapist so it is difficult to achieve a 5 star rating unless it's one of the best massages I've had. We redeemed our super Mom & Dad packages together, the treatment achieved a level of relaxation, but there were a few things that made the massage less enjoyable. 1. The therapist had long fingernails, which you could feel scratches and pokes during neck and shoulder massage. 2. Draping the legs I received maybe an inch of massge on the thigh, it just felt incomplete. 3. The front of the body is skipped with the package and ends with a facial and neck/ shoulder massage. I highlighted my fore arm (tendonitis) for an area to work on, but was skipped. When there wasn't too much oil the therapist was able to get deep pressure and found the right spots to work on. Overall I was satisfied, but I wouldn't go back again.

I had a great experience with Sherri today. The spa is very clean and nice too. They also went above and beyond when I did not have a credit card to pay for parking, they gave me a pen and paper to write a note and put it on the dashboard. Afterward, the receptionist said that she watched my car, just in case they came and tried to ticket me. They did not come to ticket my car, thank goodness, but it was very nice of her to watch my car, she did not have to do that. The massage was amazing, Sherri was very nice, and asked all the right questions. They also offer RMT services at this location. I will be back!

Went for a couples massage with my husband and it was a wonderful experience! The staff were friendly and respectful, we loved the complimentary tea while waiting and the massage was divine. I do wish that the room had felt more inviting as opposed to a sterile blank room with not much in terms of decoration however the service more than made up for the sparse décor. A little pricey but would definitely book again for a special occasion!

I went for my birthday with my friend. i am always super easy going when i get a facial but this one was kinda bad. Normally they will tell you what they're doing as they apply products to your face, but the lady just went at me for about 35 minutes without saying a word. It was product after product i had no idea what was going on. Then when she started massaging me she was digging her elbow into my armpits. At the end she didn't tell me she was done, she just stopped and grabbed my clothes and put them on top of me. It was super awkward. The results were not that great, it seemed just like an extensive routine face cleanse you could do at home. i have never had an experience like this, and i don't think i want to recommend this place to anyone.

We booked an appointment for 2 people. First they called us to tell us only one of us can get the facial and the other can't. We were accommodating and okay with this . We called to add one more person to which they said it cannot be accommodated but Port Coquitlam might. So she said we can still keep the appointment and get Port Coquitlam to cancel it IF they can accommodate us. We decided not to go through the trouble and just go ahead to our appointment. They decide to cancel our appointment and blame it on us. And asked if we want to pay more money for the second massage because they don't have another masseuse. How is this our fault? Very bad communication. If you are looking for a relaxing massage and don't want to deal with sudden changes then don't go here. Very frustrating and disappointing.

My favorite spa! I have been coming here for many years and felt that it was important to share my experience as I feel that some of the less-than-positive reviews are inaccurate. The spa is clean, cozy, and tranquil. The people who run this location are obviously passionate about what they do and it shows. I have always been greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome, even prior to becoming a regular customer. I have never felt rushed or pressured at all. Just like any service business, if you have an appointment you should show up 10 or 15 minutes early so that you have enough time to get checked in and prepared for your treatment. This will help to avoid any feeling of being rushed. In terms of the therapists, I have had many and they have all been pleasant and very professional. I go here to relax and give my muscles a treat and that is exactly what i get every time. I have been to several other spas and for me this place is the best!

I had heard good things about Sabai Thai and then was given a gift certificate. My first appointment was the Signature package and it was such a wonderful experience I was sad it was over. Immediately on leaving the Spa I purchased another package and I’ve been going back regularly for more than two years now. From the minute I stepped into the spa, I was made to feel welcome. The actual massage session was wonderful and a perfect blend. The therapist knew exactly how to make me feel special and knew how to carry out the massage and facial. I cannot comment enough - it was that good. I now buy specials when advertised and then when making an appointment I add on 30 minutes - I just don’t want it to end. I have since also started incorporating the herbal compress into my massage as it relieves all tension. The best of all is that whatever you have on file NEVER expires so you can take advantage of special offers and save them for that day when you really need it. Thank you Sabai Thai - you’ll always be highly recommend by me and a special thanks to the ladies who do such outstanding service.
