Tried to charge me for services I didnt have that totalled to over $200 when I booked a $30 hair cut, which is especially crazy since I was kept waiting for over a half hour because the man working behind the counter didn't tell the hairdresser I was waiting. Every time I try to book an appointment they always mess up the time, it's annoying never to be able to know if your appointment is when you have it written down or some random time that the receptionist decided.

THANK YOU for saving my hair Adrian!! Long story short. I dyed the tips of my hair July 1st bright red, It said 4 to 10 washes. 3 months later it was still in my hair and my wedding was around the corner. I walked in and was recommended to see Adrian. Adrian was very reassuring and positive we could fix it before the wedding. I have natural red hair so I thought it would be hard to match my colour. Adrian is a pro and extremely good at his job. He did it!! Highly recommend???? Everyone there is a pleasure to deal with Nicole and Veronica is are lovely. Veronica had my hair perfectly ready for the day of my wedding. Thanks guys!!

My colorist Dina is stellar she did an amazing job. The young gentleman on the phone who booked my appt is also stellar. I thought I would book another appointment a month later however this curt very dismissive person Kim, was taking my booking and rushing me through the conversation. This is a review for Emily- new talent After having a terrible experience at a different Aveda salon (Pure NV in Hamilton), I decided to try Keora again. I had not been in a few years (since I moved from Burlington) and unfortunately the stylist I used to see had moved on. I was instead recommended to see Emily. I had a consult with her where I learned that she was 'new talent'. As my hair is incredibly damaged, this made me very nervous. I believe she sensed this and grabbed her manager to help her. What I loved was that she was eager to learn. She wasn't 'too proud' to ask for help. Instead she asked her manager really good questions and was very thorough/made sure she totally understood how she would proceed. They came up with a game plan, talked me through it and I felt more at ease. I booked an appointment the next day to see Emily. When I showed up for my appointment at 8am on a Saturday she was warm and welcoming- not even a bag under her eye. I know this shouldn't be a surprise but the girl is only 19 years old! I was thrilled to see how professional she was.. although I don't believe she is your 'average 19 year old'. Anyways, we sat down and she started. As Emily worked, we chatted and warmed up to each other. This girl is SO easy to talk to and very mature. She eventually explained to me that she was very new (more so than I had originally realized). She had come straight from high school and gone directly to the Aveda Hair School for their intensive 10 month course. She then got hired directly to Keora and had been there for only 3 weeks. My heart skipped a beat as I watched this 'newbie' brush bleach over my already damaged hair (a 'professional' at Pure NV had recently told me my hair was literally hopeless). Nonetheless, we continued on and, although it took her an extended period of time to finish all 70 foils (YES! 70!!), she did and then used some light heat (after direction from her superior to do so) to help the 'newer foils' catch up. At this point I was completely at ease with Emily. I understood from the get go that she was new but what REALLY made the difference, and what I pride her on, was her desire to learn and how humble she was. Emily washed and toned my hair. I could tell she was excited to see the end product, just as I was. I moved on to have my cut (by someone else) and as he blow dried my hair I noticed no breakage but also, WOW! The colour was great!!!!!! Better than great!! The blonde was bright and blended so well with my existing blonde. Look... my hair was pretty messed up when I came in. Like I said, some mean woman at another salon and smashed my confidence and basically made me think my hair was hopeless. Some how Emily, this incredible, fresh newbie, managed to get me back to a beautiful blonde and the issues the previous hairdresser had mention did not even exist anymore. I am so freaking happy to have a great new hairdresser! As we played with my beautiful new blonde hair we joked about what we would do next time. Emily had some great ideas on how to change it up come the fall. Don't get me wrong- I LOVE what she did but I also cannot wait to see what she does next! This girl is going to make a fabulous hair stylist and I highly recommend you get in with her while you can. You won't be sorry!

This salon came highly recommended to me by someone who works at my dad's retirement home, so when my girlfriend wanted her hair cut and dyed differently last year, I told her to give the salon a call. She drove 30 min to get there and had a short meeting with the Salon Manager about her hair, then made an appointment for her hair to be fixed with the Salon Manager. A few days later a gentleman called her phone and left a voicemail on her cell phone saying THEY DON'T DO AFRICAN AMERICAN HAIR!!! The funny part is that she is Brazillian. She made an appointment at a much better salon in Oakville and she has been happily getting her hair done there.

I was recommended this salon and I wanted a light blonde ombré in my hair. They completely ruined my hair and had no idea what they were doing...they made my entire head blonde and halfway through the colour, the lady doing my hair left!! Another girl stepped in to continue. When I went to another salon after, she explained how Keora ruined my hair and it was one of the worst hair colours that she's ever seen...I was extremely disappointed in this place and don't plan on ever going back.

The hair stylists are very well trained and always keeping up with what is new. Jason K is my favourite stylist there, but I have been to a number of them. First time ever going here because I received a gift card. Drove from Hamilton, sat in the chair, was told they wouldn’t be washing my hair (after I specifically asked what I needed to do with my hair before coming and I was told “come as you are, we take care of everything”). I was then told they could cut it dry, but when I took my hair out of my ponytail I was told my hair needed to be clean so they couldn’t do it. Absolutely appalling. First & last time I will be walking into this hair salon, guess they just made money on the gift card because I won’t be back. Not a great first impression. Staff were nice enough but it’s disgusting that nothing could be sorted out for their mistake. I was right on time for my 11am appointment. It’s not like I was late and thus didn’t have time to get everything done. I have extremely thick, long hair and also mentioned that when booking my appointment because usually they need extra time. There should have been NO issues. Sure they offered me a discount but had no other appointments next week that work with my busy schedule so I just went elsewhere. What a waste of my time. EDIT: Thank you for undermining my review. I was not late for my appointment. It was for 11am and okay I walked in at 11:02, because the parking meter wasn’t working but that’s hardly anywhere near 15 minutes late ... I also accepted the fact a dry cut could happen but when I took out my pony tail I was told my hair needed to be washed ... So I am not sure what gives you the indication I declined. What I did decline was a future appointment with you. I believe her name was Cassee or something, I understand she has probably made the story to seem like she tried to do my hair and I refused, but that is not the case. This further confirms that I have no desire to ever step foot in your salon again. After reading other 1 star reviews on here I can see I’m not alone.

At the time it was their temporary location and although it was nothing special, our experience couldn’t have been better! Our stylist was Kimberly and we had no regrets. My mom and I are typically very cautious and weary about our hair and trusting a new stylist but we have nothing but good things to say. The experience is definitely worth the price. Amazing experience every time I visit! Service is top-notch and the entire staff is super friendly. Excellent range of products available for purchase as well. Even in their temporary location (five minute drive further up Brant Street), their usual level of care has remained consistent. Have been going to Keora Aveda twice a month, for over a year. "Found" my stylist Kimberly through Google Reviews, and she is everything the online community promised: a very talented stylist (and colourist!) who really knows her stuff, who really listens to what you're looking for, and who is a ton of fun to work with! As far as spa services, Michelle is my person. Not only does she provide a comfortable, tidy, and thorough pedicure, but she is super bubbly and easy to talk to -- which always makes the hour-long appointment fly by.

I have been trying to go a very light and bright blonde for over a year and a half, my regular hair stylist was booked up for a whlie so I went to Keora for the first time last night. I have to say Adrian as AMAZING! I am finally the blonde I want to be, my hair is still healthy and Stephanie also gave me a wonderful cut. I'm trying to grow my hair, which is hard when you are also going blonde and she was able to keep most of the length while also making it look much healthier. I will 100% be back!

Good Day All Another day at Keora last Friday...I feel like a Queen leaving there! Very friendly staff, I noted the day with how everyone there is so very nice and great at what they do. In this day and age we are looking for great service, so good to rely on this here at Keora. I had to write today as we have very few guarantees in life...it is such a joy to have someplace, someone that you can know will be a great experience. The clouds could be gathering in the abyss but Keora staff are always at their best! I had a Very bad experience with Anna ( one of the hairdresser?! at the salon) , Never do your hair (highlight/color) with Anna, she doesn't know how to DO it at all! I was referred to this salon by a friend who visits Adrian. I didn't get to see him because of our scheduling conflicts but I was recommended Jennifer. What i appreciated most was the receptionist offered me a free consult with Jennifer before my actual appointment. I have never been offered a free consult at any high end salon and I travel a lot. Jennifer worked closely with me and made sure that with each step she took she confirmed it with me. I felt completely safe and well taken care of the entire service by her. Thank you Emily for saving my hair!!!!!! I had a terrible experience at a Toronto hair salon a few weeks prior where I felt judged from the moment I walked in the door and ended up coming out of that salon with the complete opposite experience and highlight/colour I was looking for. Keora was the polar opposite experience. They were warm on the phone and squeezed me in the day prior to my appointment for a colour consultation when I was panicking about my colour and how they were going to undo what was done at the Toronto salon. The colourist I was initially scheduled to be with was not there that day, but I had such confidence in what Emily had proposed at that consultation, I was so relieved when Keora was able to re-schedule me with her the next day. On the day of my colour I was obviously nervous (did I mention my wedding is in 3 weeks?!) and Emily actually brought in another colourist to consult to ensure that they were doing what was best for my hair. They asked question after question to ensure they knew exactly what I envisioned. The result was amazing!!! Emily got it exactly right and I have already gotten so many compliments on my colour. I could not be happier with Emily and could not be happier with my experience at Keora. I have finally found a salon and colourist worth coming back to!

Horrible services and unprofessional! If i could give zero stars I would. I booked my appointment a week before because I had an event to go to that night. Two hours before my appointment they called to cancel because the hairdresser didn’t come in today. They couldn’t find anyone else to accommodate me on the same day and they didn’t offer anything as an apology. Will never book there again and will never refer to anyone else in the future.

Hold onto your seats, this one's a doozy. I booked my initial appointment, mid December, for a ash/caramel lighter balayage for my darker hair. I have dark brown/black hair with previous dye for whites, so I wasn't expecting BLONDE, but was very disappointed with the brassy highlights I received. I tried to kindly tell the hair colourist that the results were "a lot more subtle" than I wanted and "not the same technique as I definitely expected and paid for. The colourist was understanding but tried to assure me it was good enough, saying "this is what happens when you use hair dye from Shoppers" those words really stuck with me because I felt humiliated but I remained friendly. I asked for a redo, was told it was rare to do it because it not their fault about the box dye, however the technique isn't a result of the box dye. I was asked to explain the difference between highlight and balayage, really making me feel uncomfortable. In the end I was told they would give me a complimentary redo in mid January. Long story, still long, I went home in tears because I feel I wasnt heard simply because I wasn't rude. I called back for a sooner date, I got the end of December for a strand test. I went in with an open mind. And the new colourist gave a better and more empathetic explanation with better results in colour. Although it was complimentary they charged me an additional 14 bucks on top of the 374(tip inc) from my initial visit. So now I had to book again for the full redo, and I'm expecting better results with a full complimentary treatment because I feel like it's not right to have me keep coming back to fix the initial issue whilst continuously charging me. I spent a lot of money, and even tipped in good faith. I tried to voice my concern to Masi for the charge for the strand test as well. He said that the hair strand test is required in two visits and that's how it's done. Okay, sure. However for my second followup on the redo, please ensure it is complimentary because I am not happy about my experience here. Still, I'll remain hopeful that Adrian will be able to help me out on my last visit.

I have been going to this salon for many years. I get facials 3 times a year roughly with Michelle B. She is unbelievable. So thorough and gentle on your face. I have had facials at other establishments before and none of them have compared to hers. She puts in time and effort with you and is so gentle with her cleansing and massaging and also very professional and kind. Literally goes above and beyond and this 1.5 hour facial is worth every penny...not to mention it is cheaper than most. I highly recommend the Aveda products and this salon, and most of all Michelle B :)

I have extremely thick hair - which can make it hard to cut and look nice for longer than 2 weeks - but Kim knows exactly what to do and always has great suggestions.

After attending other high end salons I discovered Keora many years ago and have never been happier with my hair styling experience! The salon is gorgeous, immaculate, and very well run. All staff are extremely professional, friendly and helpful...service is excellent. Stef is amazing, highly skilled with cut and colour and takes the time to listen to my styling requests. My daughter comes from Tottenham to have her hair done with Stef....definitely worth the drive! Masi has been an amazing, knowledgeable and professional contact for Keora for many years and definitely enhances the entire experience. The entire team is exceptional....well done Keora!!

A week ago Last Saturday, I had an 8 a.m. appointment. I am in an electric wheelchair as I have M.S. I had been looking for an accessible salon in downtown Burlington. When I arrived I saw that there was a 3 to 4 inch step and I could not enter. I was very disappointed and came home and wrote a poor review. Later that morning I was contacted by Jeannette with their sincere apologies and offered me a complimentary cut and blow dry and they were waiting for the delivery of a ramp. Well the ramp arrived this week and I went for my 5 pm appointment with Debbie. I must say I have never had such a pleasant experience at a hair salon. Everyone was very friendly and the treatment I received from Debbie was superb. She started with a head massage with essential oils, then a shampoo, conditioner and cut. My hair looks better than it has in years. I strongly recommend this salon and hope you will try them out. You will not be disappointed. They are also he only fully accessible salon in downtown Burlington, including the washroom. ThAnk you so much.

I had a colour and cut by Carlee, overall she was a nice person and very friendly but I was not happy with my hair, I had a root touch up and was shocked when it was washed off she only shampooed once when I know that there should of been 2 shampoos especially when dealing with colour, I had colour left in my hair... the cut was terrible.. for $70 I expected much more... very uneven and barely touched even when I told her to remove whatever needs to come off to give it a fresh healthy new look. I will have to book elsewhere to fix it. Very disappointed

Unorganized and terrible customer service. I had called and scheduled a hair appointment ahead of time and then on the day of the appointment I went to their lakeshore location only to discover that the location was closed. I called for clarification and was only then told that they had moved locations and couldn't proceed with my appointment because it would take me too long to get to their new location. I was left without getting my hair done for a function that week and was very upset that no one informed me when booking the appointment. As a courtesy they offered me 25% off my next visit but unfortunately that did not fix the situation. I won't be returning to Keora Aveda again because they do not value their customers time and lack proper training for front line staff who book appointments.

He is a master at what he does and will pick the perfect colour/colours for your skin tone. Every person who has done my hair in that place has done a fantastic job. No complaints!

Been going here for years. Had a few different stylists who have come and gone but the service has always been terrific. Love the people, the atmosphere, but especially my current stylist Carlee. Hands down best colouring services with professional, knowledgeable staff. I am picky with my hair and these stylists go above and beyond for their clients. They are also what I like to think as "hair realistic" and will tell you if something is possible or not...or rather how many appointments it will take to achieve what you want.

I started coming to Keora Aveda in 2016 and it has honestly changed my life. I was recommended to see Kimberly P. For colourist, hair stylist for weddings and of course hair cuts and I have to say I have found my hairstylist match made in heaven for life. At the time I had an awful haircut that I was in denial about (I had a mullet lets tell the truth hehe) and my colour was a faded red colour. Kim fixed my colour, cut and my whole look and I'll never go to another stylist again. I trust her opinion on everything and she always is happy to share ideas on styling and which products to use for my hair type. She came up with a colour that suited me and the cut i have now is perfect for my thick curly coarse hair...she layered it and kept my length and completely changed my look for the better. My hair is long healthy and shiny. I used to be one of those people who changes hair colour a few times a year cause I was never satisfied. Since Kim recommended the perfect colour and cut for me I havent changed it cause it looks amazing and I have no reason to and no urge to change it. All my friends and family compliment me when they see me on my hair. Kim is friendly, extremely talented, experienced and knows things that will suit you that you didn't even know yourself. Keora Aveda salon is located in a beautiful spot on lakeshore road in Burlington ..close for me to get to, honestly has the best staff I get treated like a queen here I get excited for every appointment because I have fun and then I leave looking gorgeous. Best part! Masi at front reception is so friendly, helpful, smart, service oriented and brings everyone to smiles. I also saw Mariana for a facial and she was professional, knowledgeable and left my skin glowing I want to come back again for a signature facial... Thanks so much Keora Aveda for everything you do for me and all your clients! Love you guys
