I get my hair cut here by Anthony. He's is awesome! Very professional and friendly guy! The customer service here is unmatched. All the employees are very kind and welcoming. I have never had an issue when I go to this spa. I highly recommended both guys and girls to come to this spa. Great environment. great people, and great service!

My regular girl who does my hair is off until March 14, so I made an appointment with Anthony for this afternoon. My appointment was secured, and I received a reminder by phone yesterday. I got there this afternoon at 1:15, for a 1:30 appointment, Anthony pulled me aside and told me he would not do my hair. Said that I was a problem client, and he didn’t have time to fix my colour if I didn’t like it. I was shocked. Wow .... I left the establishment, and I will NEVER be back again. You won’t have to worry about this “problem” client ever again, because I will not be returning. DO NOT GO HERE! Treated me like garbage.

After listening to what I was looking for and what my concerns were, he explained what he thought would work best for me with the texture of my hair and the shape of my face while still keeping the general idea of what I had asked for. The results were phenomenal! I started getting compliments on my hair right away!!

Perfect place to go for waxing and sugaring. I have always had a bad problem with ingrown hairs and terrible itching when its growing back in after a Brazilian or LA wax, but Pham told me the benefits of sugaring and I have not had any bad ingrown hairs ever since I started getting my LA sugaring by Pham. When the hair starts growing back there is no terrible itching either. Pham still uses wax on my legs. She is so good that it barely hurts my legs at all when she pulls the strip off. Pham also makes sure she didn't miss any little hairs and uses tweezers to take them out if she finds one. She is super nice as well and makes me feel welcome; she is very easy to talk to. Our conversations make me not notice the pain as much and before I know it she is done and I am on my way again. Its like a salon therapy session! I highly recommend Essence of Nature; especially for waxing and sugaring. I am definitely a regular customer now.

I’ve been coming to Pham for 8 years, and she is AMAZING! When I started going to her I was biting my nails, and looking to get a shellac manicure to help me stop. Her first manicure blew me away! I couldn’t believe she made my stubby little nails look so good! Eight years later, I’m still coming every 2-3 weeks,. I followed her from Waterdown when she bought Essence of Nature in Burlington. This salon! All the ladies are so great, they make everyone feel so pampered and welcome, and they really know what they’re doing. From manis to pedis to sugaring to facials - I’ve tried them all and every single experience has been awesome! Truly, this is the BEST spa anywhere. Thank you Pham & ladies! ????

Absolutely love essence of nature spa. I have been going there for approximately a year now They have this wax called Lycon. If you haven’t ever tried this wax it’s a must! April is the name of my lady and she does a phenomenal job. The wax is so gentle on the skin there is little to no pain at all. And by the end of it you are silky smooth. I haven’t found many places with this lycon wax. Very thankful that essence of nature carries it. I actually switched from sugaring to the lycon wax. I found it to be less painful when ripping out the hair from sensitive areas. Just wanted to say thank you Essence Of Nature Spa for taking care of my beauty needs

My sister noticed the spa while shopping at MEC and decided it'd be fun to check it out for our mother's birthday. Between the three of us, we had a makeup lesson, makeup application, OPI Gel manicure, eyebrow waxing and two wash and styles. At the end of our appointments we were all super relaxed and had had a great time. Everyone on staff was friendly, my nails and eyebrows look amazing and my mom spelt absolutely gorgeous on her birthday. Will definitely check them out the next time I'm in Burlington!

I went here for the first Time to get my upper lip sugared/waxed/removed and I expected it to really hurt but they worked very well and it was for a reasonable price. The lady with the glasses and short blondish hair withe a large body was the best one. She was very nice and worked very well.

I moved to Burlington in June of 2019 and I'm so glad this place is just around the corner. The staff is wonderful! They seem like family and treat their clients like guests! I've been getting my hair and nails done here for about 7 months and I've been very happy with the results. The quality of both the services and the products is as good as large salons without the large salons price. I look forward to trying some more services. It's nice to have everything available in one place. It was a bit traumatic having to find a new salon after five years but I'm so glad I found Essence of Nature!

I never write reviews but I had to for this place. I received the worst manicure I have ever had today at Essence of Nature. Not only was I taken in for my appointment 20 minutes late, but my manicure was not worth it. I left with my nails lumpy and bumpy, I did not receive the hand/arm massage that is supposed to come with the service and my skin was broken on more nail than one. Additionally, I wasn't given paper sandals after my pedicure nor was I told to bring sandals when I booked the appointment so I had to walk with bare feet across the dirty floor and have my bare feet in the dryer (all I kept pondering was whether or not the dryer was sanitized after every customer-my guess is no *cringe*). That being said, my pedicure is much better than my manicure. I am upset that my money was wasted and I will not be back. My grandmother is a longtime customer and she is surprised by the service I received (though she sees a different cosmetician). Maybe it was an off day but I could have done a better job myself at home. The only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the staff was incredibly positive and my manicurist was a very nice.

Had a "sugaring" - resulting in pustules a day and half later. If I owned this business I would be concerned about a break in cleanliness procedures. Needless to say when I called to let the owner know all I got were denials that the pustules and the procedure were related ! Pretty big coincidence. Any business can inadvertently have a problem. The good businesses admit responsibility and show concern so that it never happens again.

I've had my hair cut by Anthony, Liza and Sue, and every time I have been thrilled with the result. Amazing staff who are friendly, attentive and very professional. I've brought my 4 year old son for numerous hair cuts as well, and he has had nothing but great experiences (which is amazing, since he's not the best at sitting still!) I have also had a massage several times, which was excellent - the best I've ever had. I can see why Essence of Nature has won Best Spa and Salon in Burlington several years in a row! Will continue to come back for all my services.

Wasn’t happy at all. I brought in a picture to show the stylist Anthony the all-over colour I wanted. He ended up charging me $178.25 and doing highlights which I didn’t ask for and had nothing to do with the picture. Also, he did regular highlights not balayage so the price was too expensive. There was no haircut included in the price either and my hair is short (just above the shoulder) and not thick. Definitely won’t be back.

What a spa experience I had on Saturday Jan 31. 2015 Had a manicure with Darci Darch. She gave me lots of helpful tips to improve the health of my nails and hands. Lots of fun to spend time with the ladies that work at Essence of Nature, they certainly do have lots of fun with their customers! I certainly will be going back in the future.

Worst place in Burlington.. 90% of the staff need to be replaced.. I have never spent that much money on a hair cut, but what makes it the worst is the fact I got no style or styling product put in my hair.. I wish I kept my tip.. The only good thing is that I had a gift card and this did not come out of pocket... DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE EVER
