It was awful! I booked a color specialist with extra time as I have long hair. I arrived on time and was asked to wait. I waited over 40 minutes until some girl (didn't even tell me her name) arrived and started washing my hair! I stopped her as I was there for a color! I was taken to the owner who was lazily cutting someone else's hair while talking to me. He was so very rude and said I wouldn't have time for high lights anymore (because they where late!) The place was dusty and dirty and the products they sold where way over priced.. I have gone to plenty of hairdressers and I have never been treated so bad in my life. The only upside to my experience is that in the end I ended up going elsewhere. This place is outdated, overpriced and unkind to customers. Avoid at all costs!

I was super nervous to try out a new hair salon due to me just moving to Brantford. I went in for a dye, cut and style. I didn't specify which hairdresser I wanted since I didn't know them. I was delightfully happy when I got Kara Donnelly who looked at the picture I brought it and replicated it beautifully! She chatted while doing my hair making my nerves disappear. Absolutely love the environment, clean and professional. Will be going back constantly!

I absolutely LOVE this salon !! I was relatively new to Brantford, and looking or a good salon, as was told by many people, you have to go to Galuppi's. I ended up going to the wrong one, as there are two, with a very similar names, the other is, Adolfo Robert Galuppi Hair Salon, and was surprised, as I did not like my experience there, but I then was told, no, you want to go the Galuppi on West St., in Brantford, not the one on Brant Ave. Once I finally had an appointment with the right Galuppi, I couldn't be more pleased. The staff is so friendly, helpful, professional, and very knowledgeable on the latest trends, products, and techniques. I love my stylist, and she gives me the exact colour I want, which over the years, has proved to be difficult. I highly recommend this salon, and could not be happier !!!!

Went in to have my daughter's hair washed and styled...hairdresser only styled..I said I called in to have it washed too..she said it wasn't in the book, she checked. When I went to pay..I looked at the appointment book and it clearly stated wash and style. She charged extra and she was in a hurry to rush my daughter's appointment. We will never be back again. One lousy lazy hairdresser ruined it for the rest of the business unfortunately.

Went to this hair salon and they did great. Book an appointment a second time to get my hair done for my graduation pictures and they call that more ING at 740 when my appointment is for 830 saying that the stylist I was booked with is stuck in Toronto and don't have anyone that can take me in until 1015. Clearly not reliable.

I was so excited to go here for my bridal trial with Robyn and ended up leaving in tears. I asked for a trim and it to be styled in a simple blowout with very loose waves. I thought this was a pretty simple request and brought along plenty of pictures of looks I liked and even examples of what I didn't want. Almost 4 inches was cut from my mid-back length hair (which I've been growing for years for my wedding), it wasn't blown out at ALL (basically just rough dried with a flat brush). My hair was curled so tightly and in such tiny sections that by the time I was done I had ringlets barely past my shoulders. not an exaggeration, I looked like a child on Toddlers and Tiaras. Not how I wanted to look as a bride. I expressed (very politely) that this is not how I imagined my hair and the stylist's only suggestion to me was to go get extensions. Absolutely no offer to fix it or discuss what I wanted any further. I was so upset when I got home I immediately straightened my hair and discovered my ends were cut so poorly it looked like they had been hacked off with kitchen scissors. I can't remember ever having such a terrible experience at a salon. Robyn was nice and friendly enough but I felt extremely brushed off. Absolutely not what I expected from an "upscale" salon, but needless to say I am booking another trial elsewhere. UPDATE: On the morning of my wedding around 9:30 (whilst running around like crazy), I received a very snarky phone call from this salon informing me I was late for my "updo appointment" which I never, ever booked or even gave any indication I wanted to book at the time of my trial. The stylist went ahead and booked me in after I left holding back tears. I can't believe I'm adding to this review but needless to say it was the last thing I needed a few hours before walking down the aisle.

After my first cut at Galuppis, a girl at work asked me if I did something different with my hair and if so, to keep it that way. Recently moved to the city and was very happy with my previous cuts, had the same person for years, so was nervous. However, I'm even happier now. Very friendly from the time I walk in the door and the salon is in a beautifully restored heritage home. Great energy in there as well, I always manage to feel both relaxed and energized by the time I leave.
