Never did ever think I would fall asleep in a public setting until Strom, that's how relaxed and comfortable I was!! The spa services were 5 star, the location is beautiful, the restaurant was great food! They have multiple areas for everything to keep things feeling calm, you don't feel in a crowd and most importantly they have quiet rules!!!! Love love love already planning another spa-cation!!

We went for a couples massage and it was great, the massage therapists are talented and know a wide variety of massage techniques. The issue begins after the massages. Upon receiving our insurance receipts and paying for the services. We noticed an error on my insurance claim receipt. It had noted 60 mins instead of 90 mins which not only changes the price of the massage but also changes the value of which I am reimbursed by our insurance. The first receptionist was quick to react in taking back the erroneous receipt and mention that one would be sent to me by email. The second receptionist was just the worst!! Couldn’t answer simple questions, had a nasty attitude. She was rude disrespectful and completely clueless as to who was going to send me this email or when I was supposed to receive it. She kept answering “ben je le sais pas”...she then noted my email on a random post it and filed it. What a disappointment! She should certainly not be working there. Maybe anger management would be a better choice. I ended up leaving upset and called on Monday the following the massage on Friday. They mentioned they’d look into it and get back to me when they had reached the massage therapist for the correct receipt. Then comes Wednesday morning still not receipt. I called back and they said they’d look into it and send me a receipt in the day. By Wednesday night still nothing. Called back to find out the massage therapist was gone on vacation! What a waste of time!!! Then to make matters worse my insurance claim was submitted but I was reimbursed for the value of a 60 minutes massage instead of a 90 minutes one. The reason behind that is because Strom submitted the wrong information AGAIN!!! I am looking into making a formal complaint because this has got to be one of the worst experiences. It’s too bad because the services and location are great. However you learn to see beyond that to realize their customer service is utter garbage.

Terrible and rude customer service! Waited on the phone more than 20min each time I called. They force you to pay $11.50 to reserve a time slot if you have a gift card and then don’t reimburse you if you need to cancel, after I tried contacting them multiple times. Actually stealing our money. Would not recommend.

L'accès confort de 10$ qui permet de réserver en ligne est supposé être remis sous forme de crédit mais à l'arrivée on nous informe avoir un solde à payer de 7$chacun(nous sommes 3). Very nice experience overall, even in pandemic times. We did have to wait a bit (10 minutes tops) before being allowed to enter. There are 2 queues: one for people without reservations and another for people with treatment reservations within the hour. So if you plan to get there more than one hour before your massage (which was our case), you might find it a bit confusing. Complete silence is asked in most areas, but some people, including us, could talk quietly without being berated. I liked this, because my last spa experience (at the Bota-Bota) was ruined when one employee reprimanded us for whispering in the pool. At the Strøm, the other customers where quiet and respectful, so we could enjoy both the calm and a little chatting. The restaurant food was very good, and we had a good service. The massages we got were excellent. The installations were very clean, but at the end of the day you could see some dead flies in the pools. On the bottom line, I spent a nice afternoon with my wife and I'll definitely consider returning.

My wife and I visited here this week for massage and it was okay. The thermal experience was closed due to covid so nothing much to do here. They didn’t offer us bathrobe and shower which I really needed after an oily massage. They charred us about $136 per person plus we gave tips. We also had a guest with us and she had to wait in the reception area. There’s no proper place for guests to wait. In my opinion, I would say the experience was not worth the money we spent.

I went to the strom on oct 5, it’s very clean and new ! The site is nice , but it didn’t do it for me ! Very small everything is close to one an other , can’t really be away from other people! Very limited space inside to relax . For my taste it’s too modern and there is a lack of warmth to it ! I definitely do not enjoy having to pay at the end before I leave , I did a lot of spas and it’s always pay first. When I’m done with my day at the spa I just want to leave not wait 10 mins in line to pay ! I didn’t like the fact that they are very pushy regarding their bistro and that you have to make a reservation, I’m at the spa I don’t want to be on a schedule! When I was paying at the end the lady ask me for the tip for the massage , obviously I will give a tip , I taught that was really rude! I had ask for spa music during my massage and I got lounge which made me feel like I was in a club ! I should of said something but at this point the massage had already started and I didn’t want to have a stop to it ! Massage was good , I did enjoy the heated tables and the heated rack for the bathrobe. The staff that welcome us at the massage area was really nice and friendly / helpful I definitely had a way better experience at their location on nuns island! I find it’s very expensive for what you get and they are pushing for you to spend more ! That’s the part I really didn’t like !

Au moment de quitter pour aller chercher mon conjoint à 11h45, on m'indique que je devrai payer de nouveau mon accès pour la journée si je quitte pour revenir "c'est la politique" selon la gérante. Le problème c'est que cette politique n'est pas mentionnée lorsque nous achetons l'accès aux bains et que je n'ai pas du tout profité de mon accès aux bains. Ils n'ont pas voulu rien arranger avec moi, aucune discussion, aucune entente possible. Dans plusieurs spa nordiques je sortais pour revenir sans problème. J'ai donc payé 70$ pour absolument rien. C'est ABERRANT.

Beware when booking a massage; the method of taking appointments is not efficient at all and even if general customer service says they put a note in your file/system, they don’t seem to do. Hate how you can’t contact the Strom spas directly. One of my worse experience for booking a spa experience and massage therapists are meh; caused me a migraine and worsen my friend’s back pain.

Plusieurs piscines, saunas et airs de détente. Très propre et le personnel passe (discrètement) régulièrement laver et replier les couvertures. Le bistro est également très bon. Les portions ne sont pas gigantesques mais juste assez. Nous y retournerons c'est certain!

Il y a sûrement eu d'autres interventions, mais je pense que la rigueur pour les règlements chez vos employés est très minime, car malheureusement nous les voyons passer et faire un contact visuel avec le problème SANS intervention. Cela diminue énormément la qualité des services et installations pour tous en plus de nuire à la réputation d'un endroit qui a le potentiel d'être 1000x mieux encadré.

Aucune différence de chaleur entre la piscine et le spa. Les peignoirs semblaient avoir vécu la guerre et étaient plus gris que blanc. La nourriture en revanche était excellente. Les massages étaient bien ordinaire. Sans compter la confusion du personnel vis-à-vis notre forfait puisqu'un de nous 2 n'était pas vacciné.... on a du répéter la situation des dizaines de fois à plusieurs membres du personnel puisque personne ne semblait savoir comment s'y prendre pour notre repas et ce qu'on avait le droit vu qu'on ne pouvait pas manger au restaurant. Bref, pas ma meilleure place du tout.

What a terrible experience from start to finish. I’ve never had such bad customer service at a spa like this before in my life. Let’s start from the beginning. My partner and I arrive a little late to our massage because of two unexpected accidents on the long trek there (we left very early, just so you know). When we arrived, the receptionists were nothing but lost. They couldn’t find my reservation, they had no idea what my reservation stipulated when they did finally find it, and then they didn’t know which bracelets to give us. We advised them that we were unfortunately late, and at first it didn’t seem to be a problem as they guided us to the massage lounge. Once at the lounge, we were then told that they, yet again, couldn’t find my reservation. In fact, the lady came back and forth 3 times and had the gall to say that I reserved at the wrong spa (I had to show her my receipts to prove I wasn’t lying). After 5 min of this, she got the master massage therapist to come and speak to us. This lady couldn’t have been more cold and have such a lack of care in the world. She put the entire blame on us and stated that traffic is no excuse (On top of the receptionists wasting 20min of our massage). Then, in a condescending demeanour, she asked if we still wanted to do the 10min left of the massage that we had left. What a joke... Of course it made no sense to, and she didn’t want to provide any sort of solution for us (I.e. offer an incentive or book another date instead). When we went back to the reception, we clearly saw that there was room posted on the wall for massages later that evening (we even have a pic). Fast forward a little, yet another complication in reserving the dinner for “a night under the stars.” Again, no reservation under my name. This is getting old... The dinner was awful and there was not much choice at all. Then it was time for the thermal experience. This is where it gets good. Isn’t a spa a place where you go to relax and de-stress? Well, not at this spa! In fact, there were so many people, and groups of people who were so loud and screaming at some points that I felt like we were at some kind of high school pool party. No staff present anywhere, and I mean anywhere to tell people to be quiet. And to top it all off, absolutely no room to hang your towels and bathrobes and the pools were full of leaves. The spa itself is so small, it makes you question the price you paid for it all. Finally, as it was time to leave, my partner went to give the bracelets and I went to the bathroom briefly. Upon meeting back with him at the reception, I found out they charged him again for the entire experience. My jaw dropped. We then had to speak with who may have been the manager (?) who was also very rude and extremely lost. She (and can you guess yet again?) couldn’t find my reservation and questioned that I even paid at all. So rude and so disrespectful. The money had been taken from my account days prior and you’d think their system would be up-to-date. Anyways, after 20min, they finally found my file and refunded my partner after I found out they weren’t even writing my name properly from the get-go. How was my experience? Not over! I’ll be having a word with their management and owner about this. Completely and utterly unacceptable! Avoid at all costs. P.S the wait times at the beginning and end are extremely long!

Spa in a forest/cottage setting. Great spa however it is impossible not to compare this location to the flagship location on ile-des-soeurs in Montreal which is much better in my opinion. Very unhappy with my day at Strom. Very small due to renovations. This used to be a quality place! One hot bath wasn't hot, only one fire going even though they have the setting to have two... We had a package deal: it definitely wasn't worth it. Food was average, service was average and I didn't get the type of massage my spouse had reserved for me. Even my bathrobe had a hole in it. I wrote an email to express my discontent and I haven't even got a return... after spending hundreds I would at least expect that! We definitely will NOT return to this spa!

Been here twice before. The first time was awesome , pools were nice and hot and we branded it our new favourite spa. The second visit we were expecting the same but it was disappointing. The showers for the exfoliation were broken , the baths were only luke warm , and our favorite steam room was closed. The menu had also changed in the restaurant and definitely did not have as many great choices as the one prior. The other steam room had not used any eucalyptus so smelt kind of bad. Second experience definitely no where near like the first , and only 1 month apart. I'd be skeptical to go back and spend another $300.

Decided to make a gift for my wife. It was our first experience and I'm afraid it became the last one. On the reception I had been told that all internal facilities are closed but it didn't come to my mind that was said about saunas. I thought Ok, I understand, because of covid the restaurant and perhaps massage room are not working, and I was ok about that. But in fact all that was working is pools. I got bored soon after and took out my cell. Almost instantly I was caught by the staff though the lady on the opposite side of the pool was able to use her cell with no problems. Tried the recently re-opened Strom St-Hilaire and I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't wow'd by their new facilities. Nice to be in a new "clean" spa, and the large pool was certainly enjoyed on a hot day. As far as the environment goes, however, I prefer their Nuns Island location.

I was there yesterday after a 3h hike in Mt St-Hilaire. I have to say that my whole day turned out to be such an amazing experience. Had lunch at the bistro, ordered the duck breast carpaccio (absolutely delicious ????❤) and the beet salad/dish (which woke up my taste buds!!). It was a beautiful day so I sat on the terrasse. The service was impeccable and I recommend grabbing a bite there if you can. Following this delightful lunch, I had a bit of time to enjoy their thermal bath experience before I decided to sign up for something other than the traditional swedish massage. I opted for a 60min lomi-lomi massage (really happy I did). I have to say that I hadn't enjoyed a massage like that in a very LONG time. Only bad thing about it was that it wasn't long enough (note to self: get the 90min one next time!). I felt like jello for the rest of the afternoon. **Oh and try to book with Sylviane. Loved her!! I usually go to their Nun's island location but I'm glad I came to this one because of the scenery. The place is very clean, well kept and the staff is very professional (they're also very generous with the smiles ????????). Will definitely come back and recommend this location to my friends.

Was pleasantly surprised, landscape and layout very beautiful and well kept, but not fully completed, being fairly new I guess, understandable. Plenty of room to lie and sunbathe if one wished too. Lounging chairs, super comfy. Hammocks and big cushioned whicker chairs were also very comfy and a pleasure to relax in. We went on a Monday, not too crowed , so we got to experience all the inviting sitting accomodations ! The baths and pool were clean enough early in the day, but by afternoon, floating flies and insects in and around the pool and baths were seen and not taken care of, yet there was always always someone walking around shushing everyone that didn’t need any silencing. Outside of one of the steam room , there sat a large tub filled with Epson salt, where exfoliating oneself was permitted with instructions to follow...that, hands down , one of my fave! Staff was helpful and friendly enough, but most not bilingual at all. Being fluent in more than 2 languages, and whose spouse is a business owner, I truly believe, that when running a business where tourists will certainly want to come and enjoy the charming and relaxing as well as a welcoming experience, it is imperative to be prepared, and attend to their needs expertly and efficiently, provided communication is clear and concise. Food was delicious and presentation flawless, service was slow, prices not inexpensive, but worth the experience. Overall a very satisfying day, enjoyed it and felt rejuvenated.

It’s a nice facility. However customer service is not great. In order to reserve online with a gift card they charge you 10$ extra which is ridiculous. They don’t even provide the option online to book with a gift card. Secondly, when I went to the spa, there wasn’t really much covid supervision to ensure people were following the covid rules. It felt pretty crowded and nobody was circulating to check that people were adhering to the rules.

Yesterday I came to the spa at Mont-St-Hilaire with my mom and purchased the thermal experience. During our experience, we were laying down on a chair and were on our phones and this old man with gray hair came up to us to tell us that we were not allowed to have our phones out. Respectfully, I told him I didn't know and quickly put my phone away. He kept going on about how I wasn't supposed to go on my phone after I told him I'd put it away, and it was irritating because I got the message, he didn't have to repeat it more than twice. Afterwards, me and my mom went into the hot spa and while we were in the spa we kept seeing the guy circling around the area and as soon as we got out the water, he approached us and I was irritated because we were both wiping our bodies off and he was just standing there repeating ''Bonjour', bonjour,' until I would turn around. He could have at least waited and gave us our privacy before approaching us. Once I turned around I looked at him and said, I don't understand why you're bothering me again, i'm not doing anything wrong, you keep looking at us and I already put my phone away earlier, what else do you want me to do? I was upset at that moment because I felt like that was an invasion of privacy and honestly I just wanted to enjoy my stay without being bothered. He said that if I wanted to go on my phone I could go further near the woods and he wouldn't bother me. So me and my mom left to go relax in one of the rooms and the guy followed us into the room to go check up on us. We felt followed during our whole experience and I find it unfair because I never touched my phone since the first time I got warned. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and do want to come back again, it wasn't my first time here at Mont St Hilaire, however, I did not appreciate feeling followed and stared at by the old man during my whole experience... it came off as harassing and we felt very un welcomed.

I had a gift card for two thermal experiences so I went with my partner. There is a stipulation that after a year, the gift card is no longer worth what it was purchased for. Even though the gift card specified two thermal experiences, we had to pay 70$ more since it was a few weeks over a year since the gift card was issued. Even though they were closed for MONTHS, they would not give us any sort of grace period. This seems ridiculous given the fact that there were many many months where they were closed - why do we pay the price for this? Furthermore, I spent 25$ to reserve spots. They would not let me use this 25$ towards the additional 70$ I had to pay. It was only to be used in the restaurant or the store. In the end, I had to pay almost 100$ when I shouldn’t have had to pay anything. Ridiculous.

On the other hand I find that over the years although the outdoor spaces have doubled in size, we lose quality on other points: - one of the baths was closed because not at the usual temperature - no hot drink available - the exterior lights that mark the path come on intermittently. Hi there. It was my first time at Spa STROM Nordique and my experience was pretty average. The spa site is definitely too small for the amount of customers they take. It's all cramped and therefore you feel like you have no privacy. Basically there is two medium size hot tubs. That's where they squeeze 20-40 persons. Although the yard looks quite nice, it is again too cramped and you simply cannot really relax. The good side was the two saunas. Also the food price is quiet decent. By the way, if you decide to take the Fall package make sure you're okay with the Apple juice. (it is not real Cider). Enjoy

Il y en a même un dans lequel on avait des frissons dans l'après-midi quand la température extérieure a chuté de quelques degrés. Ce n'est pas normal!! Auparavant j'aurait mis 4 ou 5 etoiles mais plus maintenant. Pas certaine d'y retourner même si je demeure tout près.

Probably last time here... Price increased lately.... We had coming at this facility since they reopened and we were happy to come back every time. Until yesterday.... We had not been for the whole summer, in the mean time they opened a Gourmet, barbeque section, on the back of the big pool where you can speak low voice. But now everybody was talking, big noise, nobody to advise around, barbeque smell would make you hungry no matter what. One of the showers at the salt station was broken and a line up to wait for the only one shower available. The final was tragic though! on a Sunday night, at 6 pm no hot water at the showers. This is not to be tolerated. Their robes are not cotton, plastic 100% that retain water so you would be frozen all time, and cannot change it for free. So more expensive and low quality service and more profit oriented! That's a big NO for me.

Beautiful well kept grounds with many different hot and cold pools as well as steam and dry saunas. There are services available such as massages and facials etc be sure to book several weeks ahead should you want one. The parking lot was full and it was a bit difficult getting a place so keep that in mind if you do have an appointment. Food can be purchased by the pool area without a reservation however the actual restaurant requires one. Entrace excludes the use of a bathrobe and towel however I prefer using my own after my shower. A lovely place to spend a relaxing day would go back

J'ai appellé au Strom Spa de Îles-des-soeurs, qui refusait de nous réserver une place la journée même afin d'accomoder la situation, en citant que c'était premier arrivé premier servi peu importe. 5. On demande de parler à un superviseur, on nous répond qu'on sera recontacté le mardi qui suit, et le vendredi toujours pas de réponses, on doit donc rapeller nous-mêmes. Je comprends que la panne d'électriciteé était hors de leur contrôle, mais le suivi et service client qui a suivit n'a fait qu'empirer la situation et c'est selon moi innacceptable de traiter ses clients de la sorte. Clairement, 25% de dédomagement ne vaut pas du tout le mauvais service reçu. Une belle façon de montrer à sa clientèle qu'elle n'est pas importante.

Depuis septembre 2021, il semble que le problème ait été réglé... Mais il y a encore des journées où la températures est un peu supérieure à celle qui est affichée! Je ne m'explique pas pourquoi il est si difficile de maintenir ces bains à la bonne température... De plus... Le spa se qualifiant de "nordique" dans son nom, il me semble que les bains devraient tous avoir une température un peu plus "nordique". Actuellement, deux de leurs bains sont affichés à 18 degrés, et un troisième est affiché à 12 degrés. Il me semble que ce ne serait pas un luxe d'avoir trois bains ayant trois températures différentes. Suggestion ici: un bain à 4 degrés (qui serait un rappel de l'effet "plongée en lac/rivière glacé"), un bain à 8 degrés et un dernier à 12 degrés. Lorsqu'un bain est à 18 degrés, il me semble que ce n'est pas suffisant pour qu'il y ait un "choc thermique" et pour que le corps se rafraichisse après un séjour en sauna. Je croise les doigts... En espérant que cette recommandation sera retenue.

J'ai dû intervenir moi-même, comme cliente, à plusieurs reprises pour aviser des gens qu'ils parlaient trop fort, sous les remerciements d'autres utilisateurs eux aussi irrités de la situation. Ce spa n'est plus ce qu'il était. Il y a pourtant de petites solutions toutes simples pour remédier à ce problème; ex: revenir comme avant où on insistait verbalement sur le silence à l'accueil, comme charger juste quelques dollars de plus pour l'expérience thermale et assurer une surveillance PERMANENTE du site, ou même juste de mettre le même indicateur que le samedi matin devant les bains (2 poteaux avec banderole dans le milieu) qui rappellerait que cet endroit est un emplacement de silence total au lieu de l'affiche du samedi qui indique que c'est un bain accessible aux adultes seulement). Nous avons décidé après notre visite d'hier que c'était la dernière avant longtemps. On leur redonnera peut-être une chance dans 6 mois pour voir si ça s'est amélioré.

I love this spa. Today wasn't that good though. There were lots of people who weren't respecting the quiet zones and talking very loudly. Not once did I see an employee approach any of these people to ask them to respect the rules. The whole idea of a spa/Nordic bath is to be able to relax and get away from all the noise of our daily lives. I realize that it's difficult to control disrespectful people, but no one even tried. Rules are worth nothing if they aren't enforced.

Très bonne soupe, assez dispendieux par contre. Les peignoirs prêtés sont défraichis et on ne peut l'échanger lorsqu'il est humide, sauf si nous payons. Les gens se trompent souvent de peignoirs alors prenez garde! Le massage était correct, l'huile utilisé était froide et il fallait payer pour en avoir de la chaude... Vestiaire propre et spacieux. Beaucoup de variétés de breuvages offerts gratuitement sur le site. J'ai trouvé le tout dispendieux pour la qualité des équipements, comparativement à d'autres spas similaires. Je crois que c'est plus rentable d'y aller en soirée uniquement.
