This is a great planet fitness. The staff is friendly The gym is clean. Most of the patrons clean up after themselves. The change rooms and bathrooms are nice as well. Spacious and clean. They are handling the covid pandemic very well with appointments and solid well thought out rules. When the patrons bother to follow them... Or even learn them.... But you can't fix people unfortunately that's just how they are. Great gym well staffed and managed!

Want to put this in attendance to the owner and manager. It is my personal experience otherwise the staff is good. I called the gym 3 times as there was an issue with my payment and I was told I will receive a call back which I did not receive until I called again . I could understand as I work at a front desk too. I didn’t want to use the gym for free and wanted to pay. I used the gym only for ‘A DAY’I requested the manager that I don’t wish to pay a month fee while I used the facilities for a day. The manager was utterly rude and said I should pay for the whole month irrespective of my 3 times follow up with the gym. Until then, no one called and asked why the payment is not going through. I didn’t want to be unfair in this bad times. The gym is economical and amazing. Unfortunately I was taken aback by the manager’s attitude & tone; but I shall pay for that month or for day use (which he states is $20) and I shall withdraw my membership which the manager replied, ‘ perfect and have a good day’ I wish you all the best in this hard COVID times.

Staff are friendly and helpful, and the gym is new and shiny. Not great for me - I understand why others like it though. Area for free weights is very small and crowded even when moderately busy and not much room for body weight exercises. If you like basic cardio and strength training with machine, this would be a great place. Also, nitpicking here but I found their elliptical machines arm poles way to short and I'm not that tall at 5' 7". Their alternative to the elliptical - I don't know what it's called but it doesn't mirror natural strides and again, hand grips really low causing awkward posture. Wasn't a fan! Okay one last thing - what kind of gym offers free pizza and bagels? Stay back evil tempters!

As I said two months ago, a great place with great staff! Although, and this might vary by location and clientele, it seems to me that the Belleville site could lose some cardio machines and replace the space with weight machines. Other than the last niggling comment, my only real complaint is with the people who sit on the weight machines while texting. If you need to send a message after every set, get . . . the . . . hell . . . off! The YMCA has a "no cell phones" policy for many reasons. This is one of them. Ear buds on a treadmill? I totally get that. But the weight machine end of the room needs to be a no phone zone. I know that staff members have spoken to people who are hogging the only copy of a machine while texting and have basically been told to go screw themselves. Not cool.

I had the $20 membership. They told me there was no hidden fees. Two months into my gym membership without warning and if they would’ve told me I would have prepared for it, they took about a $45 annual fee payment that they never told me about, which resulted in non-sufficient funds in my bank account. Which I also got charged for. If they told me that there was an annual fee and when the annual fee would have happened I would have gladly have made sure that I had that amount in my bank account for when they went to withdraw it automatically. Other than their terrible lack of knowledge and customer service, I watched several people not wipe down the gym equipment and I’ve seen no staff go around and clean unused gym equipment just as a precaution. I normally go for an hour to an hour and a half and even when they’re sitting around they don’t think to maybe go and clean machines because they’ve been used all day

I honestly love the staff. And enough of the staff genuinely try to make note of the regulars and get to know your name and a bit about you to make each visit personal. Its very welcoming. I literally only have one massive complaint: over the last few months the classes offered have decreased and they are pushing their "build your own program" really hard. I enjoyed the classes and what is being offered now is extremely limiting for a mom to squeeze into a schedule. If u can get up and out the door at 6am... Your fine. If you're tied until 9am after the kids are on the bus and before 3pm, its very very limited. I always found the gym was kept clean, wipe down stations well stocked, and locker rooms (female anyways) always spotless.

I love this gym. It is a great price for what you get. The washrooms/change rooms are very clean and spacious. There is enough selection of equipment to choose from. People range from newbie to avid gym goer. Love the massage chairs and total body enhancement. Couldn't ask for a better gym that fits all my needs. I started out at fit 4 less and this is a huge upgrade.

I was looking for a new gym since the GoodLife Fitness in Brockville closed down and Planet Fitness was my first choice. Not only it's sparkling new and clean, it has everything you need and then some. I was a bit sceptical at first since Planet Fitness has a reputation to be anti free weights and anti heavy lifting but so far I'm quite pleased. I have been training consistently for over 12 years and this is the second best gym I ever attended. The max free weight they have is 75 but then you can move on to the Smith machines. They don't have free barbells which is the only negative point, but you can easily adapt. There are tons of equipment and cardio machines so the chances of you waiting for one is close to none. The peak traffic seems to be weekdays after work which I tend to avoid. I hate social gatherings at the gym and it seems there's a lot of those. The staff is friendly in general but could be friendlier like saying hello or have a good day. Staff was friendlier at GoodLife but we will give them a chance! The massage chairs are great and were helpful after a back workout. Have yet to try that red infrared one and the tanning just to see how it is. It is staffed 24 hours which is awesome for any shift worker like myself. I have been there on average 4-5 times a week and my motivation reached a new height. Brockville never really had a real gym and it was about time Planet Fitness opened one here. Lots of posers, attention seekers and ladies with pounds of makeup to workout but if you know what you are doing and are striving to achieve a better lifestyle then this is the place to go! At that price, seriously, you have no excuse. You made a member for life! Cheers!

This is a nice gym,but i was disappointed to find out that on their grand opening day they was giving out free water bottles after a certain time to who ever came in.I had already paid for my membership and got nothing.Sorry i don't feel that was right,plus the free pizza is only at a certain time when it should be all day.So if you want free bagels and coffee you are going to have to be there in the morning and that should be all day as well.I had asked about the water bottles and was told they would be given out after 4 along with other prizes.I live out of town and was not going back.They could have at least let the members known about that a head of time so we could have came at that time instead.I was very disappointed.

I'm home for the holidays with my partner, and my sister really wanted to work out. The ability to sign people in is very convenient. My sister and my mom were able to sign me and my partner into the gym so we could all workout together. The resources in the gym itself are very new and well taken care of. There is a no judgement culture which is super inviting for people just starting out but enough equipment to satisfy people who have been frequenting the gym for awhile. Overall a great please to workout for a cheap price.

I go in the middle of the night and I love it. I usually get the gym to myself and there’s a few staff members there if I need any help. They’re pretty friendly. The music they play isn’t super hyped up so I have my own. The entire place is so new and clean, it’s a pleasant experience to work out there. They have a huge variety of equipment and a couple of each machines. There’s a 30 min circuit zone with timers and free tootsie rolls for customers. I’ve worked out at the YMCA and Fit4Less but this is my favorite of all 3 gyms.

Brockville needed a gym that's here for the long haul, feels clean, motivating, and for $10-$20 I couldn't make an excuse not to join. It's amazing! I was on my phone when I walked in so I seated myself where no one could see me, and within a 10 min a manager Cassidy (not a bimbo Barbie) walked over to kindly asking me if I needed anything.

The one and only thing that I can't give a full 5 stars for is because they don't have a bike rack. Whenever possible I bike to PF but I constantly have to check to make sure no one has accidentally backed into my bike or stolen it. I have to lock it to the light pole thingy and that's where the handicapped parking is so I always stress and check on it in-between machines. I've mentioned it couple times to them that they should get a rack because I'm not the only one who bikes there in the warmer months, but they told me something about how they can't because of property people or something. I dunno, I think on the far side of the building if not directly in front of it in a parking spot would be feasible, but who am I to know lol. Either way I wish there was one so I don't have to stress about it every time I'm working out. Other than that it's clean there and they have tons of equipment (tho I wish there was more than one of the ab twister machines), the staff are friendly and the rates the most affordable for Belleville. They have 2 tanning beds+ 1 standing and 1 standing red light, 2 hydro-massage beds + 1 lounger and 2 regular massage chairs. The Black Card membership is worth it for those alone IMO lol

They offer a membership with misleading fees and cancellation dates. Paying the maximum still requires notice. The facilities are extremely poor. No soap or shampoo in the washrooms. The equipment is very limited. The machines are extremely useless unless you find value in a zero free weight facility. Management is misleading in their fees. They do not accept any liability or wrongful information provided by their staff. They claim there's a zero percent margin or error by their staff due to the a.gm. apparently training them herself. This level of arrogance is poor business ethics and they're obviously desperate to get every dollar they don't deserve. Planet fitness is cheaply made, fees are misleading and you're best saving your money and going for a brisk walk every day to save the money and hassle from this desperate cash grab.

I actually helped build this gym so it holds a special place in my heart, but I feel like they can be over zealous on their lunk alarm and pizza/candy and bagels like really guys, we all get what you're doing. They are not there to help you lose weight they are there for your 10 dollars. That being said if you go in there with the right mindset and watch your diet you will lose weight.

As someone who has tried almost every available gym in the area, Planet Fitness has got them beat. A point to keep in mind is that Planet Fitness is not a specialized gym. If you are look for a "Gold's" style gym, a CrossFit affiliate etc., You will not find that here. We have those places available in Brockville already. Planet Fitness is a place for all people of all fitness backgrounds and all skill levels to work out, take classes and become a better more confident version of themselves. They offer extremely affordable memberships at $10 or $20 a month. They have a clean and well fitted gym with a wonderful staff to boot. If you are shy, timid, inexperienced or just looking for a new home gym. Give them a try, you won't be dissapointed. A judgement-free zone.

Been trying to cancel my membership as I no longer go. They want over $100 dollars and have refused to help me cancel. I must go in. Then I must write a letter. Now their manager is not in. This is stupid, just like Goodlife. UPDATE: Spent 3 days talking to their customer service, who do nothing in the end. Their manager says they have nothing on file for my cancellation request, as I am billed the 4th month in a row. Manager refused to cancel over the phone, says I need to MAIL in a letter now, because I cannot leave a letter at the front desk. She refused to accept my cancellation over the phone with her, and refused to provide a franchise owner number or email address. This is madness. If you sign up, there is no way to cancel. I have already completed 1 year membership with these jokers, they're just stealing at this point. I have no choice but to issue chargeback from my bank.

Today I read the comments and I felt to post my and my husband's experience. The manager is extremely rude especially with Indians. We already booked an appointment then also the manager denied of my husband's name in the list. And other 2 guys who were there without an appointment he allowed them first. Atlast he allowed my husband by asking his name as it starts with "D" he(the manager)asks "D" as a "dog". This is very insolent and disrespectful. Manager needs to be changed. On the other side , rest all staff members are very nice. I would have rated 5 stars but will rate 1 star as this behavior is very shameful. Thanks

It's a new facility with lots of machines available to use. Membership is very reasonable. I was a member in Kingston for a year before switching to Belleville. I ve been a member of the good life and other facilities, but I feel like this place is the best bang for your buck.

This is a a pretty good gym. I don't like that it's all one room . But for 10$ a month it's definitely worth it . The 20$ membership is better. It's very affordable. The staff is always very friendly. The black membership card spa is nice as well. The hydro massage is great. They always have tanning and massage chairs.

I have always hated going to gyms, but in retirement I figured I needed some sort of exercise regiment. I enjoy Planet Fitness. The staff is fantastic and always say hello and call me by name. I don't feel out of place and as advertised there is no judgement on your weight and fitness level. The hydro massage beds are a blessing. Planet fitness has really gone downhill. Masks are optional at this gym as every time I worked out I saw a couple people walking around without one. Dress code is also a joke. But the best part is their yearly fees. Even if they are closed by coronavirus, they demand you have to come in and sign a paper to cancel your membership. They don't allow you to cancel over the phone, but they will offer putting your membership on hold with 'no fees' - except there still will be!!!!!! Oh and if you go down to cancel, you get to stand in line and wait with all the other members too. Delay delay delay and charge. Join now to pay for a closed gym and maybe even catch covid!!

I went in and was shown around the gym as a prospective member. There was a very crowded 'warm up area' which they have crammed with other exercise machines. People on these machines were literally on top of people on the mats. One instructor was showing people how to use a kettlebell, and was actually teaching them very dangerous form, if they want to maintain healthy spines. The free weight area is very very small, and people were standing around waiting for some space. Clearly this gym is into getting as many people in there as necessary...getting more memberships to meet their bottom line. I declined their membership offer as this place is just plain mediocre. If you've never been to a gym before, you will NOT get safe instruction here. Go where someone has the time to really help you.

Instead of pizza and bagel days, why not fruit and veggie days or meal ideas for a healthy alternatives? Because with pizza and bagels days you make your gym look like a joke. Had to go in 5 times to fully get my membership canceled and I wasn’t allowed a refund even though for 5 months I didn’t use the gym and went in monthly to cancel.

Good price. Nice 24 hours 7 days a week schedule. Judgement free advertisement is actually based on nonsense. It's neither good nor bad. Where there is a staff...there is limited freedom. It would be best if staff stayed invisible and if they themselves do not judge and stay out of people's way.

Stay away,the reason iam saying this is because I went into the Belleville Ontario gym on June 15th 2017 to cancel my membership. I was told it would be cancelled however still would have to pay for June which I was good with. However come July 17th I checked my account online to see that yet another month fees were coming out of my bank. I called the Belleville gym spoke with Michelle who apologized for the mistake and that I would be refunded in 7 to 10 business days. Tried calling and keep getting told she is not there. I will never recommend this gym and to anyone one thinking of joining and decide to cancel, put a stop payment on them or you just might get a surprise.

The only good thing is the low price. You can bring a friend and use the tanning/massage section for cheap. However, the gym is low quality, have a few selection of machines/weights and the staff is cluesless about the basic of working out... Here are some points: -no deathlift bar, only smith machines -max free weight is 75 -_- -way to much cardio machine. Few weight machines and pouli for the amount of ppl -machines are dusty and not kept clean -staff are not helping anyone. So many people don't work out properly. It's even dangerous sometimes and no one tell them How about the washrooms: -No tissues or hand paper to dry your hand. Only automatic dryer that takes for ever to dry your hand not even properly -floor full of gravel and super dirty -small locker where my bag barely fit -shower with no intimacy. Change rooms are appart... Like wth. They could have installed the shower next to the change room so you don't have to walk naked in front of everyone. You don't have any room next to the shower to leave your bag and clothes except a little hook where your towel barely fit... They serve bagel and pizza once a week. ITS A GYM, that is sooo weird. If you wan't to eat pizza after a workout, it's because you don't workout hard enough or it will make you puke. Overall, if you don't have a lot of money and you are a beginner, you can tolerate this gym but it's really disappointing to me.

Planet fitness is an excellent place to get in shape without feeling shame. There are all kinds of folks coming. Every size or shape with a common goal to get healthier and more energetic. There is tons of equipment and a trainer on site. Note... You cannot bring in your own trainer as they have insurance issues if there are injuries. They have refreshments if needed. A couple tanning booths which are free to use with a black card membership as well as aqua message chairs. The membership is less than 25.00 per month and you can bring a guest every time you come. I've been to a few other gyms and planet fitness offers more than any others at about half the price... the perfect investment.

So... there are four showers in the men's change room. Three of them have a hook to hang a towel and two have a rack to put your soap and shampoo. Brought to the staff attention three times over a two month span and still no change. The women should limit their group size in the classes in the warm up area. The entire area and all mats are taken up monopolizing the whole room. Get off the equipment when you are texting or dialing up songs. Some of us are actually there to work out. This is common gym etiquette. Review your wall posters that all refer to males. Non judgemental?

Hope so your all team is doing well...just want to tell that everything is very good with your gym but your one manager is very rude and mannerless guy...didn’t know how to talk with the customers and was blackmailing me that he will cancel my membership without any reason...he is a male guy looks around the age of 35-45 ...and the thing was that appointment system ...there were not even 50 people and he denied us to enter even I was also booked for my time 9-10:30 and still he didn’t allowed us...was very very rude to us especially our Indian guys..hope you will take an action towards it . I've had a lot of medical problems in the last couple of years but I still go every other day I don't go as much as I used but the staff always ask me how I'm doing and is there anything that they can do for me. The manager is very friendly with everyone and seems to know most people by name also you can ask the staff anything about the club and they always take the time to explain what ever you have asked about.
