I got a Brazilian for the first time here the other day and was very unimpressed. The location of the room is terrible, when the lady opened the door I was making eye contact with the people getting pedicures! Although there was a towel covering me I still felt exposed. The lady was super nice but the wax they use isn’t great. They say it’s for sensitive areas but it comes off in patches and hurts 100x more then regular wax. It was 40$ but they said their prices are raising to 50$ and I’d rather go anywhere else and recommend you go elsewhere as well. Rinaldis has been by far the best.

I’ve been going here for about 15 years. Hands down, the best salon in Barrie! I go in and am welcomed with a friendly smile every time. The staff is incredible, and no matter who I get for whatever service, they’re professional, personable, and simply wonderful. I love this place.

Just got the half leg and underarm service done. Let's just say you get what you pay for. Price is great but quality is cheap and customer service is horrible. Double dips the stick in the wax pot and uses the same strip multiple times. Also the lady didnt even sterilize underarms or legs before applying wax. The lighting in the rooms are also not great. How are you supposed to see the hair of there is no adequate lighting to do so???????? Never going back here again.

I'm very happy with my experience at Skinsational. My first time there, I went in a group and we all got shellac French tips done. The service was excellent and my nails lasted much longer than any previous manicure. This time I went for a basic manicure and polish, and again I had an amazing experience with customer service and the outcome of my nails. This time, I actually chipped one of my nails on the way out, and the girl who had done them touched it up right then and there for no extra charge. I'll be back whenever I'm in the area and definitely recommend Skinsational to anybody looking for a relaxing, professional, and elegant spa experience.

I went in for a service interview, which means I had to perform services on the manager. I could not believe it when she told me to use the same stick for waxing her whole legs!!! In school you are taught to never ever double dip because its unsanitary. She had me use the same stick for the whole full leg wax! When I told her what I learned in school she said "we only change the stick when we come into contact with blood". This is a huge waxing no no, especially with Brazilians (poop and other body fluids can make its way into the wax). Skinsational is supposed to be one of the top day spas in Barrie, and your telling me you can't afford a new stick for every dip? That's ridiculous! Don't get waxing done here if you care about your health.

Their customer service is outstanding. Soon after walking into the day spa the aroma was relaxing. I highly recommend this day spa. They have monthly specials, and not just for her also have for him package Spa Pedicure, Sport Manicure, Scentsational Facial with Rejuvenation and Mask, and one hour therapeutic Massage. For her Salt Glow and Hydrotherapy Bath, Ultimate Indulgence Facial, Spa Manicure and Spa Pedicure. 5.5 hours and Classic Facial, Manicure, Pedicure and Relaxation Massage. 3.5 hours. You can also make your own package too. You won't be disappointed

This was the worst "spa" I have ever been to! The place was not clean! You walk in and keep your shoes on, after receiving a pedicure they didn't have disposable sandals for you. They expected people to put their feet right on the dirty floor. There was no background music to set the mood and the place needed a face lift. To top everything off mid way through our pedicures we see this 3 inch House Centipede! If you have never seen one google it! They are disgusting! The ladies proceeded to tell us they are all over the staff room, and then we weren't even give a discount no matter an apology for this. So much for a relaxing day on my vacation. I would never recommend this place to anyone!

So after reading reviews I decided to give this place a chance I don't usually write reviews myself but my expierence today with my facial was absolutely amazing not only have I never felt that relaxed in my life but my skin is looking and feeling absolutely spectacular my facialist (blanking on her name here) was the best not only was she extremely easy to talk to, She gave me tips to work with my dry skin and gave me some samples of the worlds most best smelling face moisturizer. Will definitely be back. Thank you skindational the peel was great!

I love this spa! I live over an hour away, but anytime I'm near Barrie I work an appointment into my schedule. Best manicures and pedicures anywhere from Barrie to Aurora with really nice quality products. And their staff are the absolute best, so friendly and always make me feel welcome. Highly recommend!

After my negative review, the owner responded with a “not us” response. I regularly have a pedicure and rubbing someone’s skin raw with a dry file is not how it’s done. The oil used had dried off and regardless if the person is training to be a nurse is not a reason to say it was your paying customers fault. To make it better would have meant just giving me my money back instead of forcing me to come back. All you had to do was refund the money instead of blaming the client, who trusts you to do your best.

Horrible experience, I have visited for massages in the past which I found good. This time I was visiting after a car accident with a requisition for massage from my doctor. My insurance company had directed me to choose where I would like to go, pay out of pocket and I would be reimbursed after submitting my receipts. I booked my appt at skinsational and went in 10 minutes early to show them my requisition which stated I was in a MVA. The receptionist told me they didn't need it before she even looked at it. When I entered the room with my RMT and told her why I was there she immediately told me she doesn't "do" vehicle accidents because she doesnt interact with insurance companies or direct bill. After explaining to her I didn't need her to direct bill or perform any assessments, just relieve some muscle tension (I have already seen a doctor and don't need physio). I ended up leaving the office extremely disappointed as I do not see why she could not do my massage. I will not be returning and will be telling people of my bad experience.

I bought a spa day package as a surprise for my wife for mother's day. I was concerned after reading the most recent review so I went and visited and asked for a tour. The folks were polite, professional and happy to show me around. I was impressed with the professionalism of the staff and the cleanliness. In the end I went ahead and gave my wife the package. My wife had a wonderful day "I wish this day wouldn't end..." were her words. I don't normally write reviews to places; however, I had to share our experience.

Went in yesterday with a bridal party to get our nails done, this place is beautiful, clean and the staff is great the only down fall is that not even 3 hours of getting a regular manicure done the nailpolish started to chip thats my only complaint.. just keeps on peeling

Skinsational does not even deserve 1 star for customer satisfaction/retention. I have been a returning client for years, and I only receive a man's backwax. I have been charged multiple different rats, for the EXACT same service. The service was no longer, and nothing else added. I spoke directly with Darlene Price, she could not, actually give me a valid reason, other then we had rate increase, or you got a discount ! She made NO attempt to satisfy me as a returning customer. STAY AWAY.... The only reason 1 star was given, is google reviews will not let you post unless you pick something on the rate scale. So 1 it is !

My mom swears by this place - she goings at least once a year to a pedi/mani. I went for my first time a few days ago and it was great - spa is clean, staff are friendly, and my pedicure was perfect! The spa is on the smaller size but provides a more intimate feel - you aren't stacked on top of other patrons and there is adequate privacy between seating areas. I can't vouch for hygiene related to waxing but when it comes to nail care Skinsational was better than most nail salons in Barrie (I.e. Galaxy, 4 seasons , Elite nails) - they didn't re-use any equipment and you can even buy your own nail colour/files and keep them at the spa for next time and/or take home with you. This guarantees no one has shared anything you've used and you get that colour you love again. I definitely will be going back and would reccomend to others! The gift certifies go great as gifts as well!

I had a 90 minute massage and I was pretty particular about needing extra therapy on my neck. Although some of the shoulder work was deep and felt nice my neck is even in worse knots now then before my massage as it did not receive any real attention. Unfortunately I have to say that this was a pretty poor massage. I would recommend other places before this one, even at a higher cost sadly.

Received a gift certificate for Christmas so went to Skinsational for the first time, for a shellac manicure and pedicure. Within 2 hours of getting home, the polish on middle finger peeled right off. In all my years of going for manicures, at other nail salons, I have never had this happen. As we were going on vacation the very next morning, there was no time to go back. Extremely disappointing. Follow up: Your reply (below) indicates you have reached out to me. I went to Skinsational and this is the result of a pedicure. The skin was rubbed raw on both heels, skin was hanging off and it was painful. Called and was asked to come back. Owner "fixed" it, made excuses for the person who did it, blamed my feet and offered to put a credit on my file. I am not going back and have just flushed $50 down the toilet. If I get an infection, I will contact the health unit.

I have been going to Skinsational Day Spa for well over a decade. I have tried laser hair removal at two other spas in Barrie and let me tell you, they SUCKED! I spent roughly $2000 and have had over 14 session with almost no results. I have gone to Skinsational THREE times and I am BLOWN AWAY!
