The lady at the reception explained to us that since 2010, an organization has acquired the role of preserving the building. There has been no religious celebration since. Erected in 1940, the main sponsor named the Sainte-Amélie church in honor of his wife who died a few years earlier. (Original) Je n'ai pas visité, mais c'est vraaaaaaaaaiment un beau bâtiment de grande valeur architecturale. La dame à l'accueil nous expliqua que depuis 2010, un organisme en a acquis le rôle de préservation du bâtiment. Il n'y a plus de célébration religieuse depuis. Érigé en 1940, le principal commanditaire a nommé l'église Sainte-Amélie en l'honneur de sa femme décédée quelques années auparavant.

The frescos are stunning. Glad the people decided to protect this lovely church from being knocked down or just rotting away. Part of the town's history and a mans love for his wife.
