I had a facial done by Alex. I was originally told when booked as I never had a facial before that they will discuss with me my skin concerns, what Im looking for and what not. I have super sensitive skin. Alex was very nice however I wasn't told what kind of facial I'd be getting I quickly told her I have very sensitive skin she didn't really say anything. During the facial she massaged my arms, face and neck. It was extremely painful, it felt like a two year old was just jabbing at me. I felt extremely uncomfortable the entire time. I also have chronic neck pain and I wasn't aware they massage you as that should be explained up front. I now have severe neck pain as well as a headache and my sinuses hurt. On top of that My skin is so itchy, red and feels on fire. I am really upset that I spent so much money on something that was so awful. What I was promised was not delivered. I really don't think after a facial I should have to end up taking tylenol and benadryl.

I have been very Leary going out with COVID due to my sons medical conditions. I felt so at ease at Vadara, they are so professional and so clean with sanitizing and distancing. The entire time I was there I saw staff cleaning and taking pride in their business. We have known MANDI and Brittney for years and they are amazing stylists so professional and proud of what they do. I value their service but more importantly I value the strong work ethics they have taken in keeping their clients safe ... amazing salon and amazing staff. Definitely won’t go anywhere else

I loved my first visit. The staff at the front desk was super friendly and helpful when I was setting up my appointment and getting acquainted with all of the rules for my visit. And my stylist is amazing. I was a little apprehensive because I wanted to cut my long hair after several years plus I was moving to a new salon, but Davey was fantastic and funny and I enjoyed every minute that I was there. Plus my haircut and colour turned out great!

Where do I begin? I came in today, and the universe connected me with Davie. I am beyond grateful ???? Davie is a master stylist. Not only is he professional, and knowledgeable, he was a kind, gentle welcoming soul when I needed just that. Today I had "hairapy" and left with more confidence than I have had in 2 years. My hair has never looked, felt, or smelled (not chemically scented at all!) better. The color is perfect, the cut so amazing and perfect for my face. The salon is clean, the staff are ALL friendly, and Covid sanitizing precautions were used after each step. I felt protected, cared for, and treated like gold. Thank you Davie, and thank you Vadara for helping me get back on my feet!

My first visit was very good they had lightened my hair from black to blonde. I kept going here to lighten and touch up I was very impressed! But up until not long ago they completely $@#^'d up my hair lol like forreal it was black and grey, I don't know what happened. I did NOT ask for black hair. I did NOT ask for grey hair. She didnt seem to care what i wanted or what she had done. And when she cut it it was like "the shape of a mushroom" as i went to get it fixed at another spot thats what my hair dresser said. She thought my hair was hideous ????. So now I am spending a ton of more money trying to lighten my hair up again. Thanks vadara.

I have been very reluctant to get any professional services done because of covid. I decided to bite the bullet and book a pedicure. Let me tell you, I had the most amazing experience. Carlee did a phenomenal job on my pedi. Not only did she take her time and do a wonderful job, she went that extra mile, knowing I was feeling anxious by placing a warm beanie bag on my shoulders as well as giving me a wonderful hot stone massage. I was lucky as her next appointment after me cancelled so I booked a manicure. Again, Carlee was very professional and did a beautiful job. I also got to meet the owner, Daina, who took the time to come and introduce herself and welcome me to the salon. My time was spent having a wonderful conversation with Tamara who does a beautiful job with Gel nails. If anyone is looking for a very clean, professional salon that pays attention to their client's needs and does amazing work, please ask for Carlee for your mani pedi's, facials, etc and Daina for Gel nails. The salon also does hair services. I will have to try that next! Great job ladies!!!! Thanks Daina for your awesome salon!

I don't even know where to start. I went in wanting to go from a lighter blond to a darker warmer blond and I ended up with bright red that look like something I could have gotten out of a box and down myself for $15 instead of paying 300. The hairdresser insisted that I do a full head of foils and then tone it to a darker colour because I have a lot of natural grey and it would just help with regrowth so I agree to that. She told me that she wanted to let them process for 40 minutes. That had me a little worried seeing as my hair was already blonde and that it processes fast which I tell she said okay I will check on it. She didn't. I sat there for OVER AN HOUR WITH BLEACH ON MY HAIR and she did not even ask how I was doing or look at it once she was busy with another client. Then she finally washes it out puts on a toner, tells me how much I'm going to love it, takes me to the chair and my roots are peach coloured or is she said pastel, and my ends were yellow. I let her know that hey this isn't really the colour I wanted and she decides to put another colour on it. And again I get to sit there for 40 minutes being ignored well a dark red colour is on hair. Finally she washes this out, oh you're going to love it she says again. We get to the chair and I can already tell my hair is bright red by this time I had already been there for 3 and 1/2 hours and was tired. I don't even know what to say. 4 hours and $300 later I leave they're in tears. I'm completely heartbroken with the way my hair has turned out I don't even know what I can do with it. It's been a week and I've called twice trying to talk to manager to get this resolved and I have heard nothing. The pictures I'm posting are what I asked for it and showed her and the bright red colour is what I got. As it has been a week and as I'm writing this review my hair is now a orangie pink color and it looks trashy and ridiculous.

I had an appointment on Saturday morning, July 11 2020 with Cyndi. It was my first and will be my last time at this salon. I brought in many pictures as I wanted a full head of hi-lites and a cut. (I used to work in a salon as a stylist). I'm quite aware of how important the consultation process is. I had asked for a textured lob with bright blonde hi-lites. After the appointment I went home and tried to style it myself. I was shocked at how short it was at the nape, we're talking an inch! I specifically told the stylist I did not want it super short in the back. After wetting my hair, trying to style with no avail, I was left in tears all weekend. I am a true believer "you get what you pay for", after spending $250 it should have been a beautiful job. Sunday morning I emailed the salon manager Daina and explained my hair fiasco. In the beginning she was super understanding and willing to work with me. Due to my health conditions and the current Covid situation, I did not want to return a second time for more hi-lites. I kindly asked if we could come to a mutual agreement and at least have my hair cut refunded. Well it is now Wednesday evening 5:30 pm and it looks like the salon isn't as willing to meet in the middle as we first agreed on. They also tried the incriminating tactic that it was the money! Honestly, if I spent $5 on something I wasn't happy with or $250 and I'm not happy, it's not the money but the principal. Before going to this salon I thought I did my research well enough. Perhaps if you're reading this you may think twice about this salon. As I've mentioned before, I used to work in a salon, I'm well aware of the cost of product and time. Luckily I have many hats and hope to have my hair look somewhat decent by the holidays. I imagine Daina will try and come to the defence on my review, which is fine. Now all I can do is let my hair grow out, start from scratch and find a new salon.

Taylor is the best ever!!!!!!! I love this salon I'm so happy I've discovered it. I would give it more stars if I could! I've been all over Sherwood Park and Edmonton and none compare to Vadara Salon and Spa and all of their staff. I've been coming here for the past 5 months and I won't go anywhere else now. Taylor is so talented with not only just cuts, and color, but I've just discovered she does eyebrow waxes, and eyelash extensions as well. I haven't seen anyone else for appts but all my conversations /interactions with all other staff are amazing. Everything I've done so far is reasonably priced and I love the products they use I'll never stop using Kevin Murphy products now. I can't say enough great things about Taylor or this salon or the rest of the staff.

Edit - Jan 2020 I went back to this salon after one of the stylists contacted me. It was a much different experience, a pleasant experience from start to finish. Naomi listened and did exactly what I wanted. My hair is a perfect length and easy to style. Will definitely be going back. Original review was 1 star I was sick of how my regular salon was thinning out my hair. Making it very mullety looking. So I decided to try another place with great reviews. I am not wishing I didn't. Snow was the one who cut my hair. She kept saying who ever did my hair cut last time did it "very bad". I know that it was very bad...that's why I went to Vadara to make it look somewhat normal or at least fix it. I told her I wasn't a fan of layers...but I guess that was the only way she could fix the thickness on top and the mullet like on the bottom. My shortest layer is now the same length as my bangs. I have been pulling back my hair everyday since the cut because I can't get the look of the layers right when I style it. Snow never talked to me the whole time. I sat there listening to the other stylists. Maybe it was a good thing that she didn't talk though...all of them were trying to up sell product or hair coloring. My biggest complaint though was the price!! I was told I would get 10% off because I was a new customer. I am not sure if I did...but my bill was $78!! I will not be back, and I guess a lesson is learned. Never trust great reviews.

My new favourite salon. I was made to feel special from the moment I set foot in the entry. I left with great new hair and feeling like I made a great new friend. I then chose to bring my 14 yr old son there for a new style and couldn't get my stylist but still got in with another, again, she made him feel very comfortable and he left with exactly what he wanted in his cut! Kayla has a rare talent for achieving a desired look in a way that maintains the health of the hair. She has taken my hair from jet black to an EXACT shade of my natural brown (which is a big wow in itself), all the while maintaining the integrity and health of my hair! She even got the exact undertones of my natural warm, brown color. The new growth compared to the hair that was dyed was almost indistinguishable. I've been through this process once before with another stylist and my hair was TOTALED. I have very fine, curly hair and it is hard to work with at best. With Kayla, I was able to easily transition 4 shades lighter and now grow my hair longer/stronger than ever before. This lady knows what she’s doing. Thank you, Kayla!!

I have been coming to this salon for years. Every stylist and aesthetician that works there are professional and fantastic. They can do edgy and colourful, beautiful blondes, curly or straight. I have had long hair, short hair, blonde hair, black hair and even purple hair. I trust every one of them with my hair no matter what crazy idea I come up with. The aesthetician’s are also fantastic, creative people. Lily is incredible at everything she does. Tamara and Tammy are creative and fantastic with nails and Gabby is the best at pedicures and manicures.

First time I met Niaomi, I had mixes of red orange blonde and she fixed my color up, she cut off everything I needed to trim off and shortly after my hair has been feeling and looking healthy and natural. Service is here is very poor when trying to buy product. I waited for 15 minutes with my product and made eye contact with the 4 women working. 2 of which were just standing around, not one would acknowledge me or tell me how long the wait was going to be. The salon wasn’t busy - there were two clients. Any time I have gone here I am waiting for at least 10 minutes. I will go elsewhere from now on for any type or service or product.

I dropped in to this salon to see if there was an opening to get my eyebrows done. Right away they took me in and the woman who did my eyebrows (who's name I didn't get) did a beautiful job. When she heard me and my boyfriend were coming from Fort McMurray she insisted on her service being free. The people at this salon are so nice, the service I had done was immaculate and the generosity was appreciated so much. ☺️
