I had THE best massage of my life at the South location with McKayla (sp?) - the Tranquility Face & Body Ritual, which includes a facial and hot stone massage. WOW. Previous to this I had written off massage therapy after a series of subpar experiences with different therapists but my husband surprised me with a gift certificate for Totally Refreshed so I thought I'd give it one last try and I'm so glad I did.

During our exceptionally dry Spring, I made an appointment for a steam room. I was really suffering with discharge and bleeding from my sinuses. The experience was beyond my expectations! There was a separate area to disrobe and the steam room was large and offered the option of turning on a rainshower and other sources of water in addition to the steam. It was heavenly! I was only living in Red Deer for a short time so haven't returned. Highly recommend this biz though. I noticed that many services are offered and there's a wonderful selection of products.

My first visit to this excellent spa (south location) for a pedicure. The reception was welcoming, facilities clean and comfortable and atmosphere warm and inviting. The hour pedi was relaxing and went by too quickly! Sunny was exceptional at her craft, chose my now favourite colour of polish, engaged warmly with me and her massage was great! A very lovely time! I would recommend this spa and Sunny to anyone who is looking to be pampered!

Nice relaxed waiting area. Massage therapist did not listen to and cater to needs, considering it was an hour and a half massage. Pressure was good. Massage bed for heat only worked for one of us. The private steam rooms were a nice touch. Front desk ladies were a bit confrontational- one in particular. The attendant assisting with the steam room had the best customer service. More towels needed in the steam rooms. Over all I would suggest a higher level of customer service is needed. It was an ok experience.

I went to the south Red Deer location to get a pedicure and was already impressed when I walked into the lounge, beautiful and relaxing atmosphere. The best part was who I got. Karen didn't just do the best pedicure I had ever had, she was also very professional yet I felt like I was talking to an old friend! We laughed and I had the best time getting a pedicure than I ever could have imagined. I would recommend this place to anyone, best staff ever.

The new location has so features not found in the original location, such as misting spray heads in the steam room, hand held shower heads that have temperature control, no more freezing shock!

(The owner reached out to me within an hour of this review and I could not have asked for a more professional response - I would recommend this spa quicker then if I had never made the call in the first place.) The services was nice, afterwards the assistant manager was not responsive to the mistake that was made. Here is the story; My friend and I booked in for two Spa manicures, the ladies who took care of us were wonderful! We paid extra to get Gel polish. The day after (today) My nail polish started to fall off. Not peel in bits.. I was loosing whole nails. Woke up with one gone, then lost another while doing laundry. Soon I was missing a pinkey. I called and explained what was happening - she said she would put a free service on my account. That was indeed the typical correction I expected. I explained to her that I don't live in Red Deer and the only reason we got it done there was because it is located between my friend and I. I am moving to Hinton, Alberta so we wanted to do something together. (My friend was the one who bought the gift card for us) I explained my situation to the Assistant Manager, Heather. And requested that the free service be given to my friend because I was not going to be able to use it and my friend lives in Lacombe and is in Red Deer often. She told me she couldn't give it to my friend because her nails were fine. So I explained again that I wasn't going to be able to use it. She repeated that the service had to go on my account and my friend could not use it. I was surprised by the repetition of her answer even though she knew I wasn't going to be able to use it. I didn't understand the reasoning behind the fact that I could not gift this service to my friend. (WHO PAID FOR ALL OF IT IN THE FIRST PLACE) Finally I asked if she was the manager, she informed me that she was in fact the assistant manager - she then proceeded to tell me that she would look into it and call me back tomorrow. Conclusion; Customer service is not top priority after you have gotten a service and it wasn't completely satisfactory. I have attached screenshots of the conversation between my friend and I - I send her pictures of my missing nails in WhatsApp before I even decided to call. I own a marketing agency - and one thing I cannot stand is poor customer service AFTER payment has been received.

Sadly new pricing is no longer competitive. My wife and I were regulars at Totally Refreshed and enjoyed a couple massages every 5-6 weeks. While heading out for one last night we were emailed our receipts in advance, kudos to them for reducing paper. Anyway we were surprised to see a price jump of over $10, nothing was said when we booked about two weeks earlier. We went and enjoyed our massage but sadly it will be our last as they have gone from one of the better deals in town to one of the more expensive specifically for a couples relaxation massage. We had been driving by two other massage options for both the price and great service at totally refreshed. Speaking to a manager this morning she advised they had/have put the price increase information on their social media? I would think it would better serve their customers to tell them when they book an appointment. Or send everyone an email, just seems they didn’t make a reasonable effort to communicate to their base customers.

I was there today for a therapeutic massage. When I was about to pay, the receptionist acted like she was doing me a favor. She wasn't friendly at all. I requested to sent me a receipt, so she sent it with my name spelled wrong twice even though I provided my full name for her in written since the beginning. She was ignorant, careless, or racist. You should hire receptionists with a higher level of proffesionalism. Next time, I would rather go to a different place where I am actually treated with kindness and respect.

My husband & I always enjoy our spa dates at Totally Refreshed (south location). Steams, massages & pedicures have all been nothing short of fantastic. However, during our last Steam (which was a few months ago) we discovered the water features (Ie: overhead & hand held) in the Steam Room we were placed in didn’t work at all. I quickly hopped out, tossed my robe on & mentioned our situation to the receptionist. Her response “oh! Thanks for letting me know” then looked away and started chatting with the next customer in line. When I walked back, only 2 Steam Rooms (including ours) were being used so we were frustrated as to why we weren’t offered a new room instead of cooking ourselves in the room with zero water. So not only did I look like a fool, we didn’t get to enjoy our steam experience as we typically do & spend 1/2 of our time sitting on the bench waiting for our time to be up. However, this experience won’t turn us away- just had to explain the reasoning for 4/5.

I got my first facial here with Amy and she was absolutely fantastic. I am not a person that normally likes massages or pedicures/manicures as I don't like being touched and I get bored sitting there. Amy and the whole atmosphere at this spa were so relaxing. I didn't want it to end! I would highly recommend any spa treatment here as the rooms are beautiful and comfortable, and the services they provide are awesome. 10/10 would recommend!

Not only is the building very clean and super relaxing with a wonderful ambiance, the staff are just as incredible. Front desk staff are always very kind, helpful and efficient. Rose is hands down one of the best massage therapists I’ve ever been to. She is very thorough in her work and takes time/care to ensure she is doing what’s best for your body and concerns, making you feel comfortable and relaxed throughout. She is extremely knowledgeable/well rounded in her practice, utmost professional and overall a wonderful person to spend an hour of time with.

Love the steam rooms. Aryianna is an amazing hair stylist she is so good at what she does. After an awful experience at another salon I went in expecting to leave with short hair. She did a treatment for me and a trim and we are going to work to get my hair back to where It needs to be. Her balayage is beautiful.
