Wendy is a freaking goddess with the hot stones and takes the time to ask if pressure is okay, if the temperature of the stones is alright and how her client is doing throughout the massage. Totally Refresh is like a little gem hiding on the north side of Red Deer. I was totally blow away with this facility. I am looking forward to the new pedicure room which will accommodate up to 6 people at a time - perfect for a girls get together! My only wish for Totally Refreshed would be that they direct bill insurance companies for massage services!

I'm so happy that this place has new owners! They have done an excellent job of renovating! This is one of my favorite places to go for a massage. I usually steam beforehand to loosen up, and greatly appreciate that the steam rooms are private. I have been to almost every single one of their massage therapists and they are all amazing. Also, the estheticians are very friendly, professional, and take their time. The staff here are very educated and this is definately the cleanest, most sanitary spa in Red Deer.

I wish I could give them zero but can’t. I got my eyebrows waxed for the second time and they burnt me with the hot wax and pulled really hard. After I called them to complain they said it was skin care routines fault but I have always been on the same skin routine every time I get my eyebrows wax and this has never happened before. Of course, it had to happened before my fall photos and it is very inconvenient for me. The worst part they never even apologized to me and kept making excuse how it’s my fault. So I am not coming back and finding another waxing place that cares about my health of my skin.

Over the years I have gone to Totally Refreshed and it was good but now I say it is exceptional. After an unforeseen situation I was extremely injured and very vulnerable in many ways. I went to Totally Refreshed and was given the name of my massage therapist. I explained my situation and she was extraordinary. She heard about my situation, my pain and vulnerability. She made a significant impact on my healing and I am very grateful. After I completed all my rehabilitation I recently returned to Renilda and Totally Refreshed. Months later she remembered me and was able to ease my pain and discomfort once again. Trusting her was easy when she demonstrated such professionalism. That she recalled my injuries and compassionately cared for me again astounded me. I have booked appointments for further care at Totally Refreshed and I encourage others to visit or re-visit and experience a true oasis found right here in Red Deer, Alberta. I had my hair done by the super talented Sam at Totally Refreshed Steam and Spa. I went in with hair I just didn't like and she created a beautiful finished soft look. Exactly what I wanted. I was able to show her what I wanted and she replicated what my vision was. If you haven't had Sam refresh your hair you should she's a phenomenal stylist with a ton of experience and a wonderful warm personality. Totally Refreshed is opening a second location as well at the south end. I am very excited as it is super close to my house. If you haven't had the chance to have any services at Totally Refreshed Steam and Spa yet it should be added to your Bucket List!

I have been coming here for my prenatal massages with Wendy, she has gotten me through some of my worst days. She just knows exactly where to spend the most time with hardly asking any questions. I've also seen Alicia for pedicures - funny, energetic little thing she is. I highly recommend her for a good pick-me-up. The receptionists are always smiling. The spa is very clean, offer great after-care products. I highly recommend this place.

They never answer emails in appropriate time frames, 2 days later is not appropriate. Also their online booking system is annoying, they never have availability, you have to call in. Also if you email one location they cant see the other location bookings. Its very frustrating when you want to get in. Wait times are at least 2 to 3 weeks for a massage with an rmt, and they dont direct bill.

Our first visit to a steambath...it was pretty cool! Atmosphere of the location is nice, the staff were very friendly. The benches in the steam room aren't the most comfortable, but maybe that's so you don't fall asleep it was so nice and warm :)

I would like to take a moment to tell how wonderfully this place is iv been going here for 7 years never had an issue and last weekend I went to another salon because I wanted to get in sooner and I got my eyebrows waxed and tinted at this other salon . I came out with chemical burn and the worst service ever long story short I called totally refreshed to get some info on what I should do and the wonderful staff booked me in and had a estistion look at it gave me some cream and took amazing care of me. The point of the story is I went somewhere else and got a burn and they didn't do anything to help me but totally refreshed did that's why I will absolutly never go anywhere else but here I recommend totally refreshed 100% they know what there doing and there super nice and acomidateing thank you for everything totally refreshed ???? ❤

Been going here consistently with my girlfriend for a couples massage. Glad the owners opened a south location to keep up with demand. Always booked solid which is a testament to how good they are. I give the masseuses props for having a smile on their face even though they have to touch peoples' grimey feet and whatnot. Tip those people good.

(The owner reached out to me within an hour of this review and I could not have asked for a more professional response - I would recommend this spa quicker then if I had never made the call in the first place.) The services was nice, afterwards the assistant manager was not responsive to the mistake that was made. Here is the story; My friend and I booked in for two Spa manicures, the ladies who took care of us were wonderful! We paid extra to get Gel polish. The day after (today) My nail polish started to fall off. I woke up with one gone, then lost another while doing laundry. Soon I was missing a pinky. I called and explained what was happening - she said she would put a free service on my account. That was indeed the typical correction I expected. I explained to her that I don't live in Red Deer and the only reason we got it done there was because it is located between my friend and I. I am moving to Hinton, Alberta so we wanted to do something together. (My friend was the one who bought the gift card for us) I explained my situation to the Assistant Manager, Heather. And requested that the free service be given to my friend because I was not going to be able to use it and my friend lives in Lacombe and is in Red Deer often. She told me she couldn't give it to my friend because her nails were fine. So I explained again that I wasn't going to be able to use it. She repeated that the service had to go on my account and my friend could not use it. I was surprised by the repetition of her answer even though she knew I wasn't going to be able to use it. I didn't understand the reasoning behind the fact that I could not gift this service to my friend. (WHO PAID FOR ALL OF IT IN THE FIRST PLACE) Finally I asked if she was the manager, she informed me that she was in fact the assistant manager - she then proceeded to tell me that she would look into it and call me back tomorrow. Conclusion; Customer service is not top priority after you have gotten a service and it wasn't completely satisfactory. I have screenshot of the conversation between my friend and I - I send her pictures of my missing nails in WhatsApp before I even decided to call. I own a marketing agency - and one thing I cannot stand is poor customer service.

Such a steamy place all full of steamy steam, and steamy goodness relating to steam. Don't come here looking for Chinese steamed buns though cause you won't find them here. Nor will you locate any steamed rice or steamed vegetables. Seems to be only steam baths and steam rooms which is okay by my standards cause that's the type of steam I'm totally into. I give it a seven out of five stars as it is one of my fab places to visit within the whole city and I just love what they do.

My daughter and I went for pedicures. The experience itself was great. However 2 days after, my daughter's polish chipped and peeled off. We were on vacation so I phoned as soon as we were home (1 week later). I got a customer sevice rep who said nothing could be done because it had been too long. I explained we were on vacation. They said they would email the manager. The manager called the next day and said they couldnt help because if they polish them again the nails will have grown out and that "they dont guarantee their polish." (Huh??) I was told I should have emailed sooner.. I was on vacation and called when we were back! Very disappointed to have paid so much for this and zero help from the company to remedy this issue. Not impressed.

Went to the North location with a friend, my massage chair was broken. Instead of putting us side by side in other chairs, they offered to sit me across the room from her. I declined because I went there to visit with her. On it's own, not a big deal. However, my esthetician, cut my one toe with her file. She assured me she did not but once I was home it's clear she did. She was friendly and I enjoyed talking with her which is the reason for 2 stars. But my polish was applied off of the nails onto my skin on a few of my toes and the top coat wasnt applied to edge of my toes so it probably wont last long. I could apply it better. I wouldn't usually complain but for a $100 pedicure...I was not happy.

My friend and I went for a mom's day out and got the Spa Pedicure! The ladies were great and we are both VERY impressed with the quality and longevity of the nail polish! It has been one month of sandals and the polish is still on and looking great!! The only difference of course is where it is growing out on the bottom of the nail! But that is to be expected!! I would totally recommend this establishment for your next pampering experience. The price is affordable. The staff is super friendly and welcoming and the products are superb! I've tried going to others when Chantell was not available but let me tell you - she is worth waiting to get in to! Chantell is meticulous and makes sure I am 100% happy with my results every time. Such a wonderful place! The atmosphere is calm and tranquil and the service is impeccable! My husband and I go here regularly for massages and steams and we wouldn't consider going anywhere else. My favorite RMT is Kanya and my hubbys favorite RMT is Leonor. We always ask for them when booking massages and I encourage everyone to ask for these talented ladies! I have also had manicures and pedicures here and would highly recommend those services to anyone....the paraffin wax treatment is to die for! Great Service !!! I got my haircut & color with Amanda in April 2017 at South location, Red deer. Amanda, who is an amazing hairdresser, advised me what haircut suits me & also did the highlights which I was looking for quite a while. She is a perfectionist who pays attention to minute details, very friendly & helpful and I absolutely loved my haircut & color. She took her time and was not in a rush like most other hairdressers I have visited before. Overall, I really enjoyed my salon experience & will never be going to any other hairdresser. A big thanks to Amanda for her amazing service. Great job Amanda !!!!!!

Very routine and gentle to be considered deep tissue. Seems to be the trend anymore. Nobody here works you or gets out knots. It's just a skin massage. Extremely disappointed this go around, I won't be coming back as I feel I just lost $90 and my time for nothing. I'm also finding they always short your time. Show up for your appointment on the hour and usually don't get in 5 or 10 minutes after the slotted time and then they end it 50 minutes later when it was schedule to end. If it's an hour it should be when they start and not when the appointment was slotted when they don't start on time.

I booked a massage for my husband and I for an early morning appointment in January. I called the evening prior and left a message stating we could not make it. Unfortunately, totally refreshed did not get my message and are now charging me for the appointments I did NOT use. It's one thing to charge me for MY appointment but they want to charge me for my husbands as well. I have NEVER missed an appointment and had been going there bi- weekly, sometimes weekly for massages. Today I called to book an appointment, again had to leave a message because no one answered the phone. How important is my call REALLY???? A couple hours later I FINALLY get a call back. Go to book my appointment and was informed I have to pay for both appointments, mine AND my husbands before I can book. I am responsible for MY appointment, no one else's. But nope, I have to pay for his too. There are way too many great spas in Red Deer to risk losing business. Looks like Safari gets my business from now on. I will not recommend Totally Refreshed to anyone anymore. Word of mouth is way too important and I'll be sure to share my experience with others. I am extremely disappointed by their automated service, the lack of returning calls promptly, no leeway, and charging for someone else's appointment because YOU booked it. We were paying $160, plus tip every other week for massages. That's $3840 per year, not to mention other services I've used before. Clearly MY business does not matter. Therefore Totally Refreshed will never get my business again. Word of mouth is powerful.

Booked an appointment online and received a confirmation email that stated the cancellation policy was 2 hours in advance. When I unfortunately had to cancel my appointment the day before I was informed that the cancelation policy was actually 24 hours and a $125 dollar no show would be placed on my account unless I could find someone to take my place. Not impressed and obviously won't be back which is too bad because I was really looking forward to it!

I was sooo nervous about getting eyelash extensions, but the people at the front desk made me feel at home. Danielle, my eyelash expert answered all my questions and helped me relax. She also made my lashes look incredible! They looked awesome for my sons graduation and now I'm hooked!

The experience is always top notch at "Totally Refreshed". From the moment you walk in the door- you are greeted by friendly staff, treated kindly & promptly. The facility is always clean and relaxing. I personally have been seeing KANYA for the therapeutic massage- she is amazing. Been struggling with much shoulder pain after falling down the stairs and she has helped tremendously. Will continue to this facility as much as possible.

MAKE SURE YOU INFORM YOUR THERAPIST OF ANY MEDICATION YOU ARE TAKING. AND ALL ALLERGIES! THEIR FORMS DO NOT ASK FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION LIKE THIS!!!!!!! My therapist Olena was amazing! I give her 5 stars! I got hurt at work and was in so much pain, I'm still in a lot of pain but she relieved a lot of it! But the company itself did not impress me. I definitely didn't get the "great" receptionist that some of these reviews speak about. My main problem with the company is the lack of care for their therapists, my sister is a massage therapist and I have been to many massages before, I understand that they rent out space and have to be registered/insured as an individual. The paperwork given to me to by the company to fill out leaves a lot of much needed information out. I don't want to be asked 5 minutes worth of questions by the therapist I want to relax. I told the receptionist that I believe their forms need work ESPECIALLY in the area of are you on any prescribe/unprescribed medication and allergies (which I have multiple) and would have not hesitated to sue if ended up with a whole body rash or an ambulance ride. She didn't give one single care!! MASSAGE + MEDICATION (USUALLY) = MORE PAIN!!! if you cannot tell how much pressure they are exerting then please! Do not go!

Second time I have booked online for an appt to be told it didn't go through after arriving to appt. Frustrating to take off work and plan for childcare to be told they have server problems! I'm done with Totally Refreshed, fix your website or remove the book your own appt feature because it's broken!!!

If you are needing a massage I recommend Totally Refreshed. My regular therapist is Cassandra and am so pleased with the way she makes me feel comfortable. She listens to what I am needing at the time and helps me every time. My husband and I have used the steam showers and have been pleased with how clean and spacious they are.

I love the steam bath and massages. Clean and wonderfully staffed. No complaints, ever. They even have south and north locations for you convenience. The only spa we go to...try them.

The staff were friendly and nice, I recieved a credit for referring a friend, which was great! We enjoyed our steam very much! The bench in the room and some of the tiles are showing wear however and may need to be refinished/replaced.
