Great service.
Lovely place feel so great
My wife loves this place, always a great birthday gift
The massage was great! However I was locked in the bathroom for 20 minutes. Thankfully I brought my cell and was able to call the front desk for help I had to try to get out on my end by undoing the lock and still was not able to get out. They continued trying on their end. I would have been locked in there for a long time if I hadn’t had my cell phone. However after spending the afternoon there and being locked in the bathroom. I was shocked and quite disappointed in the service when I was let out. when I didn’t receive any sort of discount or add on complimentary. I got a sorry the owner felt so bad. Have a great day!
Was an good experience. My husband and I had never done a couples massage before. I found myself to be terribly sore the next day but my husband was in cloud 9 lol.
Today was my first experience with Spa Ritual and I honestly couldn't be happier with my experience. The whole flow of their service is perfected and makes you feel like you've left the city and stepped into a peaceful oasis. The amenities you get while you're there are top notch. I can't wait to go back! Highly recommended!!
amazing place! pricey! but very well worth it
Went on a Tuesday evening for a quick spur of the moment 60 minute massage. I had Pauline and she was fantastic, she was very understanding to what was sore and what I was hoping she'd focus on. I also didn't feel rushed after as it was closing time. My wife and I love coming to The Spa Ritual.
Very well educated and polite staff. The facilities are wonderful as well. However I can only afford to go if I'm given a treatment as a gift. The prices are very high and no discounts for multiple services.
Great relaxing experience
We have taken our "team" for a winter get away for the past 4 years, and have always had a great experience. The paraffin pedicures are the biggest hits for our gals and one man! See you in December
Very pricey for the facilities and ambiance. My first gel manicure lasted a couple of days. I believe it was done by Annamarie. I had to go back and it was redone but when I was back for the redo, Jen ended the manicure by squeezing lotion on my hands and told me to rub it in!! What ever happened to a massage with the lotion??? The body scrub was very painful. Also by Jen. She doesn’t talk much and not very friendly. Massage by Monica was very good but again very pricey. I never saw a tea boutique. I thought they had different teas to taste, but they don’t. They only have 3 beds for relaxing on and they are usually taken. I wouldn’t go back there. Way too pricey for what you get. CND gel is a much superior product to Artistic Gelish. Best spa ever is Ten Spa in Winnipeg!!!!
Easily the best spa I've been too. Luxury at its finest.
Paulina is amazing
The team at Spa Ritual Crowfoot took very good care of us today. I made a time blunder and unfortunately was unable to stay for the entire appointment but did not realize this until was already in spa. The amazing staff gave me grace and very kindly refunded our monies and allowed a rescheduled appointment, despite the issue being my fault. Am so grateful. They have a life long customer!
Incredible service ,extremely clean , great staff
A little pricey but very attentive service and handy location if you want to avoid downtown
Pauline was fantastic with the massage today...My new preferred masseuse.....Thank you.
Got an airmiles package for this spa and it was awesome! The way the interior is built is unreal! Really fun and nice layout, decor and relax feel. The hot stone chairs are such a nice bonus, shakes are good, massage is great, sauna access is awesome and shower facilities are top notch. I highly recommend this place.
I had a nice pedicure and manicure. Staff is nice.
Fantastic hot stone massage from Supitcha. Though the place isn’t as accessible as it was a few years ago (not their fault), the experience was still amazing. Opted for the hand paraffin wax and was not let down. I almost prefer it during covid because I think they book less people in and it’s much more relaxing.
Everything you want a spa to be. Well run, clean, tranquil. Located in the middle of a big box mall, once you walk through the spa entry it totally changes and you could be in the orient based on the ambiance. I have been twice. Both by using Airmiles to buy a package. Otherwise I would not be able to afford it. Staff is lovely - very friendly and extremely competent.
This is my favourite spa. It feels like a little oasis away from the rush of everyday life. Service is great and I always leave happy that I went.
So this spa has a nice ambiance for sure. I do like the heated stone loungers. I have a beef though which is why on earth would you limit and segregate your customers based on what they are getting as a service ? So if your getting a pedicure you aren’t permitted in the back area to enjoy an infrared sauna (Not sure why they wouldn’t have chosen a steam room), rain showers etc.??? That is bizarre and I am a regular spa goer, and I have never seen this before. If I’m paying $115 for a pedicure I have a right to enjoy your spa ! That is ridiculous! The staff weren’t that friendly and I heard a lot of “oh I’m sorry for the wait” trying to check people in and out. I had a gift certificate to the spa and wanted to know how the spa experience would be to decide whether or not I would be back, for maybe a different treatment. So if I’m not experiencing the full spa why would I ever come back? I chatted with them about this and they “granted me access” to the back area. I appreciated that but again, shouldn’t have to ask for that when their competitors are not doing that. The body wraps are also dry, so for those who enjoy a rain shower wash after, this isn’t the place for that.
Hadn't been to a spa before and wasn't sure what to expect - Very accommodating and pleasant all around! Loved the stone chair and my partner really enjoyed the sauna. Maybe now I can convince him to get other services - we'll be back!
Everything and more.
We were treated so nice, the atmosphere very soothing and the (Thai) massage was fantastic. A must try for sure ????
The atmosphere here is so relaxing and nice! The tea is so good I ended up buying a few packages for home, and I love it! I would highly recommend the 90 minute relaxation massage, it was just the right amount of time to really unwind and enjoy it! The staff are very welcoming and helpful, and my massage therapist Annette was amazing!
Such an amazing experience. Very professional, very clean the customer service was impeccable..my massage was heaven, definitely will return.
I’ve been getting botox for 12 years, so I’ve experienced my fair share of injectors. I kept ending up with a weird pulling around my eyelids that would also spike my eyebrows. No matter how clear I was that I did not want this, or how many touch ups I went for, nobody could fix it… until I met Sarah. She is truly intuitive with how she injects. She gets injecting on a level I’ve not experienced before. She feels the muscle and then she does her thing and you can just sense she knows what she is doing. I’m so glad to have found her! She fixed my eye area! I trust her so much that I even decided to try filler, which I thought I’d never do. But her skill, knowledge and raw talent with Botox, made me more open-minded to filler... and I’m soooooo glad I did! My lips look natural, and like my own lips, but a bit younger, healthier and, of course, fuller. Sarah should teach everyone how to inject intuitively, bc it’s clear to me that injecting is more than book knowledge or even years of experience. It’s about “getting it” and Sarah gets it.
Outstanding service and such a treat to visit. I plan to be back often!
Very nice and upscale inside, very relaxing and the staff are professional. Book easily online, and there's a variety of different unique massages as well as other services. Their robes are soooo comfy too!
Had a massage from Amanda yesterday - she is fantastic!! Was having shoulder pain that she was able to identify, work on, and today it feels great. I have had numerous massages at Spa Ritual from various gals and they've all been excellent.
Even though I live in the deep South, I come here once a year for a full Spa day. I love the personal attention you get here. I love the products they use. All the beverages - flavoured water, tea, and smoothies.
My husband and I have been going to the The Spa Ritual for years and love it! In fact, we have made it our ritual to go for a couples massage every 6 weeks or so and we always look forward to our spa time together. The treatments go above and beyond and nothing beats the Spa Ritual Facials!!! Just last fall, I had a girlfriend visit from Toronto and had the pleasure of sharing The Spa Ritual with her. She said it was BEST spa she's ever been to and she has been to several. She absolutely loved the heated stone loungers (as do I)!!! Keep up the great work!
We had booked a couple's massage for November 11th, 2021 and it was cancelled due to a staff member calling in sick. We rebooked for November 27th and had the best service. We were upgraded and had a great morning of being pampered. Thank you Spa Ritual for making mine and my husbands day. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
I instantly feel relaxed when I walk into The Spa Ritual. The change rooms are very nice and the Bali room is a great way to end off your treatment. I had a 60 minute massage and was very happy with the results. This place is worth the drive for me.
A little pricey but worth every penny. Only suggestion is to have more options to choose from.
one of the better spas i have been to in Calgary
Truly the most relaxing place I've ever been!
I just had a lovely facial, everyone is really friendly and the decor is fabulous! I can't wait to come back for a massage and spend some time at their relaxation areas.
Can I give the Spa Ritual more than 5 stars please?! This place is a true paradise and a great escape! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was amazing and the staff were so friendly. I honestly felt like I'd been transported out of the city. I started my afternoon by meditating on a hot stone lounge chair in the Bali Sanctuary before my treatment. The room was dark and tranquil which made it effortless to calm my mind. After about half an hour in the Sanctuary, Christopher led me to a treatment room where I was about to experience the Thai Grounding Foot massage. He was soft spoken and attentive, making sure he addressed any concerns I had. The treatment started with a foot scrub and rinse in a gorgeous copper bowl. Christopher then left the room so that I could get under the covers and the rest of the treatment could begin. When he returned, he offered me an eye mask then gently rang a gong to begin the massage. I can't even put into words how amazing the treatment was! I was so relaxed that I honestly thought I was having a 2-3 hour session, not a 60 minute one! I think I even dozed off at one point. Although my feet were still a little achy after the treatment, the next day it felt like I was walking on air. My feet and legs are so relaxed. I can't wait to go back again and I'll be recommending the Spa Ritual to everyone...even if they don't ask ;p
Beautiful decor but Covid 19 spoils experience. None of the frills that make you feel pampered. Massage by Haley met standards one expects and she has magical hands sweet giving nature ..tip coming still... Esthetician Jen was effective, great manicure detail (the best ever during 20 years of monthly manicures) but a bit gruff for my liking. Facial was a bit rough but she again excels in extractions. She is built strong and I'm 65 105lbs. Seniors skin is thinner. Suggestion: Might be a good idea to consider the person having experience. I'd mentioned I had medical condition that limited mask wearing but she didn't seem sensitive to my needs or to avoid my brows please as I'd had touch up microblading 3 weeks ago. I went on to explain brows were healed but go easy round them. She didn't hear that request either. Many layers to facial but not one standing ovation item. WOW facials in Mexico or PEARL in Edmonton salon I reviewed. No coffee or wine or hair dryers hair products - pretty bland for a spa but... Not their fault...Covid not good time for this pampering. Mine was xmas gift I finally could use. And finally for some reason I thought my gift included my services but at checkout it was 350.00 more. My. Daughters bought it for me ar xmas but at no time did anyone go over complete price for spa day. I thought it was covered:Mani/Pedi, Massage, Facial 500.00. I added a lemongrass back scrub from Haley it was my high point 25.00 extra and hot oil hair massage 25.00. Extra for French shellac. Tip 20 percent .of course. I left my wallet at home except for tip (I live close by) for safe keeping besides I thought it was covered. I called for backup but please make sure you know full price, my daughters commented the same happened to them not completely transparent. Overall in good times a beautiful Spa. Covid spoiled the beauty and fussiness we enjoy at spa like this.
Overall good. Paid extra for scalp massage but it wasn't worth it.
It was the best treat for myself. I have been here twice now for a therapeutic massage.
Booked a pedicure hoping for a true spa pedi. You know like in the robe and a little pampering. Felt rushed and the watch was out to make sure we didn't go over time. $100 pedi and received the exact same treatment that I would have had at any corner nail salon for half the price... That would have included a manicure too!
I love this place, very relaxing and accommodating staff. My girlfriend like to try the facial on our next visit and we like to avail your discounted price. ^_^
My wife has been going in this spa for years and always been impressed by the services she received. She was diagnosed of stage 1 breast cancer late of last year and finished treatments May 2017. She developed shoulder problems and her doctors recommend massages. She booked and got a very good massage session with one of the ladies in this spa with no problems disclosing her condition. They even gave her options on how to do the massage comfortable without being on her tummy. That was 2 weeks ago. She called again to book another session - planning to go 1-2x a month - but only this time the lady wouldn't book her without a doctors note! She was so disappointed for she has been going there already! now she has to see her doctor first to get a massage from this place!
Very clean. Staff is friendly and the massage was great. Will definitely go back!
The place was amazing. It has friendly employees, relaxing atmosphere, and great customer service. I would like to recommend this to my friends.
Very nice facilities, and always great service but a little pricey.
3rd time booking online. 3rd time "sorry, no record of you booking online". They are SO RUDE! Especially the person at the front that basically said "too bad so sad". Wow. Don't think I'll EVER book with this stupid place ever again.
Maritza is the best!!! She does such an amazing job for eyebrow threading. I highly recommend her.
Friendly staff & fantastic service!!
Great massage and pedicure. Really nice facility as well, and the cost is quite reasonable. Very friendly and approachable staff. Their amenities leave a little to be desired; the infrared sauna was ok, except you could hear the wind blowing outside which wasn't overly relaxing. The heated lounge chairs are decent, but they aren't really made for taller people and could have done with a larger pillow. They could make improvements for their male clientele like have more male-specific magazines, perhaps a newspaper and also a shoe horn would be nice upon leaving. Overall though it's the best spa I've been to in Calgary to date.
My 2nd favorite spa in the city. Plenty of parking. Awesome calming Zen decor. Heated limestone beds!! FYI: For the same price, you can go to RnR wellness spa at the Fairmont and get access to a sauna and pool! That's a bonus for me since it means more relaxation time after a massage.Valet parking is free for 2hrs at RnR wellness.
I went here for a facial back in October and all I can say it steer clear. I have never had problematic skin and have received facials before with no problems as my skin is not super sensitive. For starters I did not find the lady who did my facial overly friendly and the staff at the front desk were quite rude. I had a gift card for $100 which is why I chose to go in the the first place and when paying for my facial I had to pay the remaining balance on my card and the lady at the front desk was extremely passive aggressive by saying “just so you know the tip percentage is only for the $50 not the $150”. Personally I think that is extremely rude to say to a customer especially in the tone she said it. I was quite disappointed by these interaction as I did not find anyone overly friendly. However, this is not the worst part!! After paying $150+$22 for the facial, the next day I was getting a pimple which was very disappointing but not as disappointing as the fact I then got not one but two rashes on my face that I needed to use a prescription cream to get rid of. Again, I don’t have sensitive skin and I have never had anything like this happen to me. I am also not allergic to anything that I know of and I have gone to other places for facials before with no problems. My skin got multiple break outs after the facial and even a month and a half later my skin is still horrible. I am not sure if something triggered it or what but I have never had problems with my skin until this facial and now it’s the worst it’s ever been. My advice and opinion on this place is just over priced and the staff are not super friendly so I would save your money and go elsewhere where the people with actually appreciate your business.
My favourite place to get a massage! Jesse is a professional and always does an amazing job. The staff are always kind, and the amenities delightful.
Very pleasant, excellent service, a great experience!
Very nice place and professional services. I really love that place.
Very disappointing and way overpriced! Very Rushed Services, with inattentive staff busy on their own personal cell phones. I personally sent in a complaint letter regarding my experience/service + Facial. No response! ZERO "WOW FACTOR"
Services are always worth it. Bit disappointed in the lounge area where dirty dishes and cups were left from previous guests.
** UPDATE** I can honestly say my first experience/impression was not a correct reflection of the quality of service The Spa Ritual provides. I came in for a second prenatal massage today, and it was like night and day. This time around I was offered more ( like foot, hand, scalp, stomach massage) The table was angled perfectly so laying on my back was not uncomfortable. The towels were cooled off a bit before being placed on my skin. A-MA-ZING. Hailey is so kind, and has some magic hands! Thank you Kimberly ( and staff!) for giving me the opportunity to experience this spa the right way. I will be recommending you to everyone! ‐--‐----‐--‐--‐-------------‐-----------------------‐-------- I went here for a prenatal massage with a friend. The front end staff were very friendly and polite, the woman who escorted us to change rooms and my massage therapist was very sweet as well. I found the massage to be lacking, and she wiped the excess oil from one side of my back during the service, but not the other so I had to use the sheets on the table to wipe off the other side at the end of my service. The heated towels were too hot, very close to burning to be honest. Again, she was very sweet so I felt too guilty to say anything at the front desk ,but I dont think I will be returning for another service.
An absolute wonderful experience. Had the 60 minute massage which was fabulous - very well priced. Showed up 45 min early and laid in their hot rock loungers - very, very relaxing. Clean, great staff and loved the pricing.
Luxurious and relaxing, all the staff are professional and friendly. The ritual manicure (by Kim) and therapeutic massage (by Nancy) were both excellent. This was a gift from my fiance and it was perfect. Thankyou!
It was a great massage! The facilities are relaxing however I thought it was way over priced. If it was a little more affordable than it would be great!
OVER PRICED for the quality of service you receive. After communicating my CONCERNS to management of POOR SERVICE which included DISCOMFORT from the service provider not using common sense, it was met with "We stand by our service". NO APOLOGIES, and WOULD NOT ACCEPT FEEDBACK on how to improve this particular service. As a manager, I understand how to handle complaints. The young women, were UNPROFESSIONAL in their approach after I politely communicated the concerns. During the service, rather than asking me to lay on my stomach to moisturize my back, arms and legs, the service provider had me sit up while she moisturized my back, and then lift up each leg, then each arm. Was NOT RELAXING and FELT RUSHED. In my expert opinion on day spas, DON'T GO HERE, YOU WILL BE UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED AND RIPPED OFF. MAKE THE TRIP TO BANFF!
Totally disappointed and they have lost my business for good. I fully admit I missed an appointment as I had assumed the appointment was a day later. This was an honest mistake, and I feel bad about this as it does take up a spot that could be used for another client. However, the receptionist was very rude, almost suggesting that I knowingly did not make my appointment and that it would have been on my calendar. Rubbing salt on the wound does not help. Moreover, I have not had a track record of missing any appointments previously at this facility, instead of assessing the whole situation and offering a one time exception by allowing for a make up appointment, I was simply left in the dust, with a heavy bill. No compassion, no sympathy and moving forward, no business from me or my family.
Wonderful ambiance
received a massage as a gift and was so impressed i rebooked as soon as i could! annet was beyond amazing, the space is gorgeous and has sweet amenities!! i’ll definitely be back.. a whole lot
Love the ambiance here, have only had manicures and pedicures done. I find reception not so warm but the ladies giving manicures pedicures are so sweet.
I received a gift card as a birthday present and booked a facial. Initially I was surprised by the prices but after having visited the spa I can say they are more than worth it. The spa is very clean, relaxing and has wonderful amenities. I was especially impressed with all the thoughtfulness shown in the change rooms, they have absolutely anything you could possible need to freshen up before leaving: straightener, lotion, dry shampoo, etc. Jennifer performed my facial and was wonderful. I will definitely be back and would recommend them to anyone looking for some pampering.
I received a gift card for a Cherish Package for my birthday. The girls at the front were very nice to deal with and I had no trouble booking an appointment. The massage was great and they accommodated my concerns regarding my back. It was very relaxing. The smoothie and chocolate covered strawberries were amazing. The facial was very relaxing and great for my skin. There was no pushing to purchase products when I was ready to leave. I found the spa very clean, as were the showers and sauna. A whirlpool would be great to have but is not a deal breaker for me.
Google review My friend and I used this spa on January 8th. We both relieved gift cards for Christmas so we decided to book a couples day. I was a little overly enthused when she told me we had a 20% off on top of that from the sap! We booked in for the Sen Duet couples' package $609 after tax. On arriving at the spa, we were greeted warmly, and were taken on a tour and then waited in the infrared sauna. The massage therapists that delivered our services were outstanding! Our only complaint was that other guests impacted the ambiance. The walls are thin, and it was not relaxing as it should be because there were other guests and/or staff being loud in adjacent rooms. Loud enough that we could clearly hear all of the conversations. I have been to Sparkling Hills Resort and Spa a number of times, and the costs of these services are comparable, but the ambiances significantly differ. Through the middle of our first treatment, we both commented on how rude and disruptive this was to our time. Yet, it continued through our second treatment. This should be made very apparent to guests during the tour that quiet voices are expected for the sake of theirs and others' experiences. Upon checking out, we did let the reception staff know this. Overall the experience to this point was a good 8/10 because who doesn't love to be pampered. What we did not at all expect what that when we went to pay that we could not combine our 20% off with our gift cards from Costco from our Christmas gift. We kindly explained that this was not what we had been told the 6th when we booked, and all three desk staff brushed it off and said that is the policy of the spa. Thus, the total cost after tax was $609.00, and we used our gift cards totalling $400, bringing the bill to 209.00, we both tipped $43.00 (only 15%, but were willing to tip 20% or $60.90 but were not expecting the total cost increase and had allotted for good tips). Meaning the complete spa experience with tax and tip cost us $305.45. A far cry from the $87.20 (plus $120.18 in tip) we were expecting to pay. I will not be returning to this spa, nor will we recommend it to our friends and family, despite the great massage. Both I have written Google reviews in hopes this doesn't happen to anyone else.
Best spa I've been to! Great alone, with a friend, group, or as a couple!
Unfortunately I cannot comment on the actual spa services. However, I would never recommend this place. I had originally booked this place for four people as this was for my sister’s wedding. One of the bridesmaids had cancelled and I had called them to inform them that the reservation would instead be for 3 (this was 4 - 5 days before the actual date of the spa appointment – Sunday, November 1st 2015). When I had called on that day I was informed I would have 48 hours’ notice to cancel if needed and it was cancelled okay. This past Saturday, October 31st 2015 unfortunately and quite devastating… my sister had called to let us know that the wedding was cancelled. Given the circumstances and situation that was happening I did not bother calling as I had in my mind the 48 hours’ notice comment and I was busy helping her pack her belongings as the two lived together. I called in the morning of Sunday, November 1st 2015 to let the spa know of the unforeseen event and to ask if I could somehow get a credit back. I was told on the phone that I would have needed to provide 24 hours’ notice and that I would not be able to cancel nor would a credit be granted. To hear that comment about 24 hours’ notice was also unsettling as I would have called on Saturday had I known. I was told I could show up, not show up, or find other individuals to go in our place. I spent Sunday morning packing and calling around to see if I could find anyone to go in our place. Unfortunately no one felt comfortable going and hence I called the spa again… was asked again why I was cancelling to which I said for the second time that the wedding was cancelled and that’s what the reservation were for. To being told that I had to let them know 48 hours before hand. To being put on hold, to being transferred to the same individual from the morning to being told about their cancellation policy again and to having this individual tell me oh I see it’s for a group booking and unfortunately for group bookings we would need 6? 7? days cancellation notice(again conflicting stories as I was able to cancel that other reservation 4-5 days before). I was quite upset at this point and told this individual on the phone that I had already been given this speech this morning when I had called and to just to charge my card as no one could make it. I understand they have a policy and that they lose money when appointments don’t’ show up. However not even being allowed to take a credit seems quite unfair. This spa charges quite a bit for appointments in general and this situation that happened that caused me to cancel was unforeseen and quite unfortunate. The fact that they were not accommodating, that I received conflicting stories, and the fact that you aren’t even allowed to somehow get a credit back makes it all quite upsetting on top of the recent unsettling news. For this I would never recommend this spa to anyone and if I could I would have given them no stars. The charges came through and to pay 441 out of pocket is just another blow to take in. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi, I just wanted to say that I did receive a call back from the Marketing Director and after discussing this with her we have managed to resolve the issue and I will be granted a credit to go sometime in the future. I hope that our conversation was not taken lightly and that follow ups are taken into consideration for all future cancellations. Dary
My wife loves this place. Highly recommend
Very disappointed in their front end service - had booked a couple's massage for my mother's birthday. Had shown up and told that the appointment was mistakenly booked on the wrong day. All we got was a flippant response "Sorry, do you want to reschedule for next week?" Kind of a shame, as we were really looking forward to it. I know the birthday girl was really upset, as it would've been her first time getting a massage.
My wife had a great time here. Good website and easy appointment bookings.
This is my spa of choice in Calgary
I went here for a girls spa afternoon. We all got the lemongrass pedicure. Justine was very good; she's also done a facial for me the past. My feet are very soft now. I would totally come here again. It is pricey but it is worth it for the relaxing, luxury ambiance and bonus of not smelling chemicals like most nail salons in the city.
I've received two massages from Haley and both have been the best massages I've had in my life. I like very firm pressure and she is so skilled at getting EVERY knot without making it too painful. Seriously amazing massage! Also, I personally find it difficult to relax if I feel pressured to chat during my treatment, but that is not an issue at all at this spa. It's pricey and I don't live close by, but I feel it's worth it, considering the wonderful services I've received.
Lack of information and wait time to be lead inside I lost 20 minutes of my one hour massage. They didn't seem to extend the massage time to compensate for it. I got a booking for therapeutic massage and it was more like a relaxation massage (didn't work on me). I get massage frequently and I was hoping there is an effectivity beyond all the bells and whistles. Having tea and extended facility is nice, but without a good quality therapeutic outcome, it is a waste of money.
Overall a Classy place..... Friendly employees. Great relaxation area, heating rock beds are a great touch. Massage felt fabulous. But a little higher in price. Will go back with my husband / tell my family and friends.
5 Stars for Kaelyn specifically!! She helped me get a gift card and honestly 10/10 she was lovely!
The place is great. A maze inside, and cool vibe. Service was great, will be back.
I went there myself for the first time and I loved it. The establishment was very clean and most certainly felt like something meant for royalty! Staff was professional, polite, and courteous. I am really at a loss for words and can only say that the only way to find out is to find out for yourselves. I was truly a wonderful experience!
Blown away by the serenity of this place! Between the sauna, heated stone chaise loungers, and snacks... I dont know which is my favourite! Definitely reccomend and will be heading back!
I've always been very happy with the services but the facilities are lacking. They charge for a quality spa experience but have no hot tub, only three stone beds that are always full and a tiny mini sauna in the change room.
Nice quiet and clean place to go with sauna.expensive though for massages
I have been to several spas in Calgary, and The Spa Ritual is my favorite. The services and experience are always exceptional and worth the cost.
My incredible boyfriend took me here for Christmas (2018) and I have to say it was magical. I have a chronic pain disorder and the women who did our scrub and massages were understanding, knowledgable and overall amazing.
The spa itself is great! However, I struggle every time I try to contact this spa by phone. I am put on hold for way too long! The most recent time I tried calling was at 6:35pm. I was on hold until 7:00pm when the spa is supposed to close. I ended up hanging up because I was on hold for 25minutes.
Love everything about this spa
Overpriced
First time here...amazing spa!
Very professional, clean and friendly
Eleclent place ..
Absolutely loved the experience! Especially the warm recliners to hang out after our massage. One of my best spa experiences ever!
Had an absolutely incredible therapeutic massage. Once I was in the door, I completely forgot about the craziness of covid. The staff are friendly and go beyond what's expected to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. I definitely recommend Monica!
I had Monica for a massage, and could not be more impressed with the service I received. She was very professional, and knowledgeable with how she went about her practice. As a health care provider, I was very happy to see her wash her hands before carrying out the massage, and every time after she finished with working on my feet. She gave me tips at the end to avoid tense muscles, and was very friendly. I absolutely recommend Spa Ritual and seeing Monica for a massage!
I had a great experience here had a facial and a massage. The spa is clean and relaxing. Only thing was just a little bit pricey but overall a pleasant experience.
Not the best facial, were more focused on layering products instead of doing the actual extraction I came for, layering products can be easily done at home. Received the smirk face at reception on our way out.. very disappointing! At first, I truly thought this was going to be my go-to spa, I thought $150 a session can be worth it but not after this :(
The last couple pedicures at the Spa Ritual have unfortunately been pretty mediocre but this most recent visit has definitely restored my comfort and I felt my money was well spent on the higher price for this spa. My pedicure was done by Maritza and it was amazing. She is super friendly, caring and meticulous with her work. The front end reception was a little bit chaotic and unfriendly which is why I gave this review 4 stars however the service itself was exceptional and I will definitely be back in the future.
Great pedicure!
I booked a "Mommy-to be Massage" at the Spa Ritual. I was very excited as I have gone to this spa in the past and was very satisfied with their service. Unfortunately the service mentioned in the discription of the massage was not fullfilled this time. It mentions that a skin nourishing cream will be applied to the tummy and hips, which is essential to do so for a prenatal massage, however this was not done. For me the massage was not fullfilled. Thank you, Carina
Our peaceful place
Great atmosphere, friend staff, and neat ideas like the heated stone lounge chairs. For the price of services I was not 100% happy with my pedicure unfortunately. It was over $150 and I left with missed "rough" areas on my feet, which I took care of myself at home. I go for pedicures regularly, and would have hoped I would leave here with completely "cured" feet. I will go again and give them another try in hopes for a pedi worth the paying price.
Scheduled a massage with my Birthday gift certificate. From start to finish, the experience was impeccable. Professional, thoughtful and restorative. Lounging on the warm stone chaise with an aromatic tea was an unexpected treat prior to the lavender oil infused full body massage that was followed by a therapeutic dry sauna. Truly a decadent day!
Amazing facility, kind staff. Overall relaxing and lovely experience. Coming again!
Excellent!
Pauline is an amazing massage therapist and the ambiance is wonderful. It is a bit pricey but does have snacks and a sauna in each change room.
1. I got the yummy mummy massage. I asked for full body with extra attention to my upper back. Both calfs combined was maybe about 5 minutes and my thighs weren't even touched during the massage. 2. With the yummy mummy massage, you offer cream for the tummy and hips with is part of the massage package that we are already paying for. I didn't receive anything like that. I told the front desk and nothing was done except for a "sorry for that." I still paid for the full thing even though I did not receive what I was paying for. 3. Any oil used on me during any massage I have ever gotten elsewhere has always been warm to be comforting. The coconut oil used on me was freezing cold and ruined my entire massage experience. I should also mention it was -30 outside so the last thing I'm looking for is to be freezing cold during my massage. I complained to the front desk and the response I recieved was "oh we get complaints like this all the time" - what kind of response is that? Do something about it to fix the problem. I will never recommend spa ritual nor will I ever return here. The worst experience I've ever had at a spa.
went in for couples massage. staff was great. very relaxing atmosphere. will go again soon.
I went in for a spa ritual manicure with Adriana and she gave a great manicure! Such attention to detail and 1 of the best manicures I have ever had. She was an absolute pleasure and my nails look awesome. Thanks so much Adriana!
Is there an option for an OK rating? My mom and have enjoyed a few massages here. The quality of the massages we received were very good. The customer service was welcoming. However, I do agree with some of the other reviewers about the cons. It is near impossible to book appointments at this spa as it seems they fill up all evenings and weekends for 4 months into the future. The receptionist does not seem accommodating to try and find you an appointment time that will work for your schedule. A number of times I called to book appointments and they only had male masseuses available, my preference is for a female masseuse, which is fairly common. I agree the prices are quite expensive for a spa that only has one shower, a small sauna and no whirlpool. I would probably rate better if I could actually get an appointment!
I received a gift card for Xmas 2012 and by Nov 2013 I still hadn't used it. With my work Xmas party approaching I decided to book in for just a French Manicure. I usually go to one of those run of the mill nail salons that have been popping up all over the place, but with the gift certificate I decided to give this a try. I called the Spa Ritual and specifically asked if they did UV Gel French manicures, I was told that they did so I booked my appointment. I eagerly awaited the day of my appointment to arrive. I showed up at the spa 5 minutes prior to my appointment as I was directed and filled out some forms. Given the joints that I usually go to for my manicure, this place is exceptionally nice. Smells good, relaxing music etc. After completing my paperwork, I am shown into a little "holding room" where a young lady takes my jacket from me. For which, I am very grateful for as it is about 30 degrees inside the building. My aesthetician comes out and invites me into the Aesthetics Room and I immediately notice - No UV gel lamps. I am somewhat dismayed but I decide to go ahead and see how this goes. The aesthetician is very pleasant, shaped my nails nicely and cleans up my cuticles immaculately. The hand massage was very well done as well. After all this, she directs me to get my form of payment out of my purse while she gets my jacket. Ummm... what the heck is going on!? I am then told to put on my winter jacket in the sub tropcial heat of the room. The aesthetician then begins the actual nail polish portion of the manicure. I get a sparkely base coat, and she then applies the thinnest little line of French white on the very tips of my nails. I don't have long nails by any means but the french white does not even cover the tip of my actual nail. But, I am so hot and uncomfortable by this time that I just want it to end. The aesthetician applys a drying agent top coat and toodles off. She comes back after about 3 minutes and says OK, you are good to go now. But, keep in mind that the polish won't be set for about another 2 hours. WHAT!!? Now, I go pay (just shy of $90!!). It is -30 outside, my car is an iceberg and I cannot put on my gloves. I manage to go about the next 2 hours without using my hands while the polish dries. I am pleasantly surprised when all is said and done and I have managed not to smudge the nail polish. However, I am exceptionally annoyed when a few hours later the white tips have already started to chip off. I have just paid $90 for this? I should have just gone to my usual joint and gotten what I wanted for half the price. This is not the quality that I would have expected from an establishment of this supposed calibre - nor for the extortionate amount of money that I was charged. I will not be going back, nor will I be recommending the Spa Ritual to any friends and family.
I recently had the best experience at Spa Ritual Crowfoot! I booked the spa ritual for 1 which includes a 60 min massage a customized facial and pedicure as well as a smoothie. This was sooo amazing and I found the price quite fair for all you get and of course the facilities are amazing. The staff were all friendly and attentive. I highly recommend Magie for a massage, honestly the very best therapist I've seen she did some faschia work on me and I feel like a new person! My 1 hour massage felt like 2 hours she was very attentive and I swear she has healing hands. I look forward to coming back !! Thank you :)
I absolutely love this spa! They think of everything and it's feels very luxurious. It's a great place to unwind and get some relaxation!
Fantastic experience! I received a 90-minute massage from Pauline and a 90-minute facial from Kimberly. Both service providers were professional, knowledgeable and exceptional at the treatments they provided. Thank you Pauline and Kimberly!! The spa itself is beautiful, quiet and well kept. The other staff I encountered when checking in and out were very welcoming and friendly. The boutique is super cute - full of amazing smells, adorable accessories and all things cozy. Thank you again!
I always get the best massages from these caring and friendly professionals. Plus it's beautiful and relaxing as soon as you enter.
Massages here are good and the heated loungers are an amazing place to finish off your experience.
Great Facility. Would highly recommend
I cannot give a more enthusiastic 5 stars. The Spa Ritual has been a longtime favorite of mine because of the unmatched experience they provide. From a serene, Thai inspired ambiance, to warmly welcoming staff, everything from the moment you walk through the doors urges you to set aside your daily concerns, relax and be rejuvenated.
I go here all the time. Always have great times here but I just have to give a shout out to Amanda G. What amazing masseuse she is. I have to say it was the best massage I have had. ????
During this difficult time, it's important to support local businesses more than ever. This spa is one of the best that I've been to in Calgary. It's beautifully decorated, meticulously clean and the staff are wonderful. If you're looking for a place to get away from all of this chaos, this is it!
Beautiful Spa! Very elegant and relaxing.
I had booked 3 appointments on Dec 23 for my daughters and myself. Due to a brutal snow storm and multiple road closures and accidents along the way, we were 30 minutes late arriving - even though we left 45 minutes earlier than the determined distance, as a cushion. I called in half way there to tell them what our circumstances were and we were assured to just come in when we could make it. When we arrive we were rushed into the rooms - no time to change into robs. The treatments provided were less than half the time paid for and were so superficial it was ridiculous - basically washed the faced, patches over eyes, massaged lightly for 10 minutes with lotion with primary focus on forehead and back of neck - Pathetic. Certainly not work the stress of a 105 minute drive or the price tag of $477. To add insult to injury they actually asked for tip at the end. Save your money and go to a business with better ethics with real professionals trained in proper facials.
Sure the services are pricey but you are absolutely paying for a higher level of service than other places. Hands down the best pedicure I’ve ever had! Thank you Nicole!!
I received gift card for Christmas 2017.I decided to use some money from Ritual Spa gift card for their products like; body scrub and body lotions,at the receptions I have been told that this gift card can't be use it for the Spa products is only good for their service.I was very disappointed and quite upset at this point.
Super long wait times despite having an appt. I waited so long that they told me my brow waxing was on the house. Honestly, I got a free service for her to not only do a terrible job on my brows, totally ruined the shape, she also dropped a glob of hot wax on the top of my hair. That was fun to get out. First and last time at this place!!
I’ve never gone for a pedicure, this was my first experience. They were accommodating, polite , and had a nice modern setting . Good music & massage chairs.
Once in a lifetime! You will feel like a superstar being there and will walk out refreshed and revitalized. This is not a cheap place but the money spent is worth the experience. The list of ammendities is looooong but if you go to the website you will get an idea. You will feel like a celebrity!
Great service and lovely staff.
Went for a maternity massage and had Monica. Everything was great! Super nice inside and very professional staff. Well worth the money.
Is good. Not totally what I expected. Not really bad. Not really good. Average. I would go back with different expectations. Good place. #illbeback #goodplace
We called to book a reservation for five and the girl on the other end was laughing. I was put on hold as whatever she was engaged in was more important. Very unprofessional! I was then told I had to email them for a group massage because they couldn't book the group over the phone. Emailed them a week ago and haven't heard back. Not impressed at all and we won't be booking here anymore.
Always a fantastic experience and retreat away from the day to day !
I had quite a few shake my head experiences with this spa. I am an avid spa go-er and felt obligated to share my experience with this spa. The first time I was booked in my friend booked us a massage. When we showed up they said we didn't have an appointment booked. The attitude of the girls upfront were quite unprofessional and rude. We left and about a month later we tried again to book an appointment (as my friend was a fan of this spa and she told me to give it another try) We came into a locker room that was just filthy. Clumps of hair on the floor and in the sink> I was planning of showering before my massage but when I saw the condition of the shower and how it looks like it hasn't been cleaned for awhile, I decided to opt out. The massage I had was quite bad. There was hand prints on the walls of the rooms and then I was getting onto the table and there was a huge nasty stain on the sheets. I had asked for a therapeutic massage which at this spa is more expensive and I ended up receiving a terribly bland relaxation massage instead. I had to ask three times for more pressure but the pressure stayed the same. I'll never waist my money on this spa again.
Absolutely amazing, from the decor to the service, I was not disappointed. So many services were offered and I felt very comfortable here. Not only was my massage therapist knowledgable, gentle and easy to connect with, but the time and care spent on my massage was INCREDIBLE. Aromatherapy and beautiful, soothing music topped it all off and will keep me coming back. Thank you Spa Ritual!!
Great facilities and staff.
