I am always excited to come here. The staff is very friendly! The steam rooms themselves are the best I've every been to. There are no hot drips from the ceiling like a lot of the other places. The prices are very reasonable, I always feel refreshed when I come out of the spa. Great location too, right by the lake! They also use very high equality essential oils, they really put the customers first!

Absolutely the worst service AND customer service I have ever received from a spa. I left more stressed out than I arrived. My esthetician took 20 min to wax my eyebrows...that service should take 5-10 max! Then she didn't have a wax pot started. I was an appointment, not a walk-in; this should have been taken care of long before I got there. She disappeared for 10 min. Didn't know when she was coming back so I was getting ready to leave because I had to head out of town for work from there. She got back and proceeded to give me the worst wax I've ever had. Missed hair all over my legs! I had to leave as soon as I was done to go up north. I was also over-charged from what I was told I would pay (by $40) when I made the appointment. I brought it up with the girl I made the appointment with and nothing was done about it. I was out of town for 2 weeks, when I got home I went straight there to discuss the matter with management. I was left waiting for 15 min by the manager because she was on the phone, so that made me mad. And then she refused to do anything for me because so much time had passed. I'm very sorry that I work in the oilfield and lately when work calls, I go! Will not return and I do not recommend.

Booked a 1-hour relaxation massage with Jenna at this location over the phone earlier this week. This would have been my first time coming to the Sylvan Steam and Spa. I came from out of town and booked it specifically for this weekend. Upon arrival, I was informed that I had not been booked in and someone else had the appointment I was booked for. The receptionist was not very apologetic, seeming overly annoyed with me and only saying sorry as I was already walking out. Very disappointing. I would be cautious booking any future appointments here for fear of this happening again.

I booked in for a therapeutic massage with kyle. The place is clean and convenient, and the staff was very friendly. Kyle is very knowledgable and professional and definitely knows what he is doing. He was able to quickly develop a plan of action that worked well for my symptoms and after one visit i am already experiencing relief that i hadnt seen with previous appointments with others. Have booked again for another visit

I went there on a wednesday afternoon when I was the only client .The receptionnist was really rude and gave me the impression that I was bothering her when I came in. The steam rooms are amazing and really clean . Going to a spa should be relaxing but I felt rushed and disrespected. Not going back again.

I drove 4 hours to visit my mom and all weekend we are looking forward to our spa day. The night before they called to confirm our appointment and a few hours before our appointment they called and let us know that one person wasnt coming in. So we had crushed hearts. We tried to compromise and do a different package but they weren't able to. Big disappointment.

Please get a new receptionist! She totally put me off and I won’t go there. Very unhelpful today. Kept looking at her P.C. and when I asked about the facials she looked at me like I am the crazy one that don’t know anything. She continued looking at her P.C. and didn’t suggest other products that the spa uses or tried to assist. I walked out without her greeting nothing,not a word. Very unprofessional.

Really dissapoined in this business. I try to support local but they make it impossible. I booked a massage 6 weeks in advance as I have done for the past year here, they quoted me a price of $75 in the email confirmation, then with no notice they raised their prices to $84. They did not make any of their clients aware of the increase, and did not honour appointments booked at the original price before the changes. When I called, all the receptionist could say was "awe sorry about that" several times. So I ended up cancelling my next appointment because you can go anywhere in red deer for an hour of therapeutic massage for $70, and it will be the same quality since thsir massage tbtherapts are trained through the same programs. Again, very dissapoined, and will not be back or recommend their services to anyone ever again. (If you would like picture proof of this include the feel free to email me, I am happy to provide the email with original pricing and the bill I was charged with increased piecing.)

Absolutely love this spa. I was super scared of having pedicures done. My first experience, else where, was very unpleasant. I have now found a staff I can trust not to hurt me. Everything is SUPER clean! Their steam spa is amazing and clean and their message therapists are amazing! The price is right for all the services I’ve used and their front staff is amazing and organized. Always feel calm and welcomed. Will always recommend!

My most favorite spa. We live in Red Deer where there are plenty of spas but at the end of the day I will always travel out to Sylvan for this one. Pedicures and massages... best way to spend an afternoon or evening hands down. Relaxing, quiet, clean and state of the art spa this one is where it's at. Make the drive, it's worth it.

Had nice staff, but I went for a lash lift and tint and they permed my bottom lashes by accident and now, two weeks later, they're still crimped. I can't wear mascara on the bottom it makes it 10x worse

The Spa itself was wonderful, steam room was clean and very nice to be in, however the service we received left much to be desired. We felt rushed going in with no discussion as to how the steam room worked, we were not acknowledged coming out of the room(not one person asked how our steam was) and it felt like their discussion at the front desk was more important then the customers that were standing there. Overall the spa itself was great but the service kind of cheapened the experience.

I've NEVER had a bad massage here no matter who was my massage therapist. There massage rooms are nice and the massage tables are warm (I think heated). We love the steam rooms and the front desk girsl are always so welcoming.

I want to love this place!!! I recently had yet another massage, mediocre at best, my concerns weren’t listened to and I left with knots still in my problem places. I described need to de stress my neck and shoulders and most time was spent on my glutes??? I asked why but there was a language barrier which also sucks. I like this place for the products, would love if they ever found a deep tissue therapist that knew what they were doing. Go for relaxation massage and possibly be prepared to instruct your masseuse the entire time. I’ve given it too many times...I’ll be going elsewhere next time as my needs are never met. The ladies however are an amazing staff and I do recommend going for relaxation massage and fun products!

Was in for a pedicure and Paige listened to my preferences and then read me, her client, very well! She kept the casual banter to a bare minimum and I almost dozed off as I melted into the chair, enjoyed the soothing music and the total peacefulness as we were fortunate enough to have the room to ourselves! Paige did a quality job and also provided me with an exceptional spa experience!! I will definitely be back!
