Beautiful location, great staff, very calming environment, however you would think after spending $100 on a pedicure I wouldn’t have bubbled nail polish on multiple toes. A bit disappointed especially since the staff member put my sandals on and I sat in the lounge for quite a while after to let them dry.

Nice place but chatting people/customers in lounge make it hard to relax sometimes. I'd feel better if I got to listen to my music w head phones from my phone but you're supposed to put phone away.

I've been to this spa 3 times now, and every time I've had an appointment with different staff...and it's always been amazing. The facials are used with wonderful-high quality natural products, and a relaxing head, neck, shoulder, arm massage throughout. My friends and husband all loved their services too (Facials and Massages). Free parking, and not too busy. Good COVID precautions in place. Will definitely be back! :)

My boyfriend and I had a couples massage here. I had a deep tissue, full body massage. It was the best massage ive ever received and the service was outstanding. She applied the perfect amount of pressure and while she was getting my knots out she still managed to keep it relaxing. My boyfriends massage was also excellent. Great ambience and service. Definitely going back !

There are moments in our lives where stress can become too much and one cannot even remove it from attending the gym 5 days a week. This place is not cheap, but the customer service, the friendly staff, the clean rooms. They do it well here, to create a relaxing environment. If i could sleep on that massage table i would....i mean don't get me wrong i bet some people do! lol. But if I could sleep for 8hrs straight at this spa, I most definitely would welcome that. Enjoy this spa ladies and gentlemen, I would for sure add this to my list of "Where to go to Unwind!"

The virtual tour on the website doesn't quite do this place justice. The tour makes it look kind of cramped and bland when in reality it is comfortably spacious and very tastefully decorated. There is a nice cozy ambience from the moment you walk in, through the lobby area, the washrooms and the service rooms. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgable, I took my RMT's recommendation on a custom massage treatment for my aches and felt amazing afterwards. As a guy I've only been to a modest handful of spas but this one definitely beats out all the other ones I've been to, both in this city and in tourist cities in North America. Highly recommend

I absolutely love this place from the towels, the shampoo, the little biscuits they serve. I just wish it weren't so expensive so my benefits would cover a full massage! I have seen 3 different massage therapists and they are all good. Incredibly clean and relaxing. Make sure you come early and stay late to enjoy it.

Best spa in the city HANDS DOWN! If you want to feel welcomed and truly cared about then go to the Riverside Spa. All of the staff are kind, professional, and welcoming. They take care of you from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. The amenities are lovely and they have everything you need in the change rooms including hair irons, razors, deodorant, and so many more of the things you would need to fully relax and enjoy your stay. The lounge is a calm and ambient space with delicious teas, waters, and lemonade. The cookies are an excellent touch and the chocolate I was served in my pedicure was the cherry on top! I also enjoyed that they had Wifi so I was able to stay connected, if needed, and share my experiences with #RiversideSpaYYC

I have been a repeat customer here for a few years and it is the best spa I have been to in Calgary. My regular therapist is Kate. I have had a few other therapists, but once you find one that works well with your kinks, no one else will top that! I love the steam room and rain drop showers. My favourite is the organic blood orange and vanilla body lotion. I love it so much I asked my husband to buy me a bottle for my birthday. What a treat! The lounge area is always kept nice and clean and the tea and raspberry lemonade is refreshing. The only downside is sometimes other patrons are chatty and can become loud when you are trying to relax. But the spa doesn't really have control over that. Overall, it is a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it!

It was my first time visiting the spa last week and what a great experience! When I was booking all of my questions were answered in a friendly manner. Girls at the front desk were lovely and friendly. The lounge area is really nice and sitting by the fireplace was very relaxing before my massage. The massage service itself was superb!

This is easily the best spa in all of Calgary. From the reception and facilities to the services and ambiance, everything here is 5 star luxury and quality. It’s always so clean. I have never seen any cleaning staff yet everything is immaculate and perfect. You can tell they are careful who they hire because they all seem like consistently great people. The wonderful front desk staff make you feel so welcomed and the massage therapists are extremely friendly and professional. This place will put you in a great mood. The best massage I have ever had was at this spa (Shelene). Great lay out and excellent location along the river.

I loved this place. Upon arrival I changed into sandals and a robe. I sat in the lounge area drinking cucumber water, until my MT came and got me. I had a full body massage with wonderful aroma therapy. After my massage I relaxed and had tea and cookies. I also sat in the steam room before leaving.

A wonderful afternoon! Started with a perfect couples massage, Andrea and Tan were our RMT's, they definitely got right into the trouble areas and left both of us feeling renewed. Next we had facials and then paraffin wax pedicures with Crystal and Nicole, both were very professional and left us feeling totally pampered! The spa is very clean and operates like a well oiled machine right from the moment you walk in, the change room, the lounge, the services and checking out. The afternoon was perfect, if you haven't been you need to go, if you have then you know what we're talking about! Well done, see you again!

I am so glad this spa came up for a review. My husband and I came here for about one year and it was pretty good services and treatments but they are very particular and sometimes hard to deal with. Especially if you have any special requests. However the one time I booked a full day service we were stuck in a car accident and we could not get there on time. I instantly contacted them and explained I was going to be late. I asked what my options were as traffic was not moving. They told me not to worry and to come as soon as I could. The lady on the phone was very helpful. I then called back and told them we were still In traffic. Again they told me to arrive as soon as I could. I asked if I should rebook and they said no problem and to just come. As I arrived the manager got involved and said since your late all your services will be shortened. I asked why to the front reception and all of a sudden the story changed and they were not kind and completely unaccomodating. The manager who I guess is named Dan got involved and told the staff to shorten all my services. I was rushed through and I was given the Express version even after I said I will just do half the services and the rest another day they said no we can't reschedule without 48 hrs notice. My pedicure was rushed by half the time. My facial was shortened by half and charged full price for everything. Absolutely no flexibility and options for the client. Dan did not come out to speak to me or work anything out. He hid behind the door. I called the next day to let him know the services were not only short and rushed but not even good when he picked up the phone he didnt even say hello He says "Yah what do you want?" I asked him is this how he treats his clients and speaks to women? He did a loud snort on the phone and I said it was a terrible experience and rushed and why tell me to come and I would of rebooked. In the rudest tone he says" Well if you had cancelled and rebooked without 48 hrs notice I would of charged you the full amount and you would be out $500.00. His tone his attitude was absolutely horrible. There are many wonderful spas in this town and even though this spa is nice looking inside after treating me this way you will be better off at another spa. Dan was one of the rudest ppl. I have met and now have met other ppl that have encountered him and have not had very nice things to say either..I was so disgusted by our conversation. We live in a small city and word travels fast about really bad service. He should be ashamed of how rude he was.

Facial and pedicure were great. I was disappointed that a lot of the staff, including the massage therapist, were not masked. I realize that there are no current mask mandates but it would be good to know what’s going on here before arriving because at that point its too late for me to cancel. An otherwise excellent experience was made a lot less relaxing by having an unmasked person working so close to me. Note that I was willing to wear a mask myself. I understand why they may not be able to ask patrons to wear a mask but in my opinion the staff should set the example. Won’t be coming back anytime soon.

The services are great. The staff are very helpful but I found it too busy and noisy. I went in the evening on a weekday and once on the weekend. It gets very busy, the locker room was full and I found it hard to get to my locker and have room to change. Each time I tried to use the showers they were busy. In the waiting room it is in the same hallway as people getting pedicures and with all the different conversations it did not create a relaxing atmosphere. You can hear people while you are in the treatment rooms as well. The first time the room was closer to the pedicure area and I could hear this woman's entire tirade about her horrible husband and kids. She kept saying she just needed this time to relax but she sure wasn't making it relaxing for anyone else around. I wish the staff would approach people who were loud and ask them to keep it down. The treatments were great, the staff really seem to listen and create a good experience. They were very knowledgeable. Probably the best therapeutic massage I have had. However, I probably won't be back just because of the noise. I feel bad about not giving 5 stars because I understand the spa cannot kick out annoying loud people.

I had a phenomenal massage with Nicole Smith followed up with a luxurious facial with Jordan and it was the best experience I've had at a spa to date. Nicole managed to release muscle tension I didn't know I had and offered helpful tips to adjust how my body interprets stress in everyday life. Jordan completed my facial using natural products (that didn't contain soy no less!) that rectified discolouration and issues I've been fighting with a fairly serious skin condition for months if not years. To say that my experience was good would be an understatement. My body and skin feels so much better and the results were so noticable that a week later people stiil compliment me. Thank you for working some magic ladies!

Always clean, on time with lovely services available both pre and post treatments. All the necessary amenities in the change rooms, no need to bring anything to get ready (besides your own make-up!). I usually bring my journal and a book and enjoy the delicious flavoured waters and cookies in the lounge. I always feel instantly relaxed the moment I walk in. I've only had good massages here! (And I come here often!)

Lucky to even get one star and that’s based off the amazing therapist Keelie and Nicole S… but the business itself is a literal joke, this is the second time they have canceled my appointment less than 24 hours in advance with literally nothing to offer! But when you need to cancel they are supper quick to start charging your credit card with no authorization. What makes me extremely mad is that I literally confirmed that my appointment wouldn’t be canceled as I had to take time off work to make it there as my week off there was no availability… this place has went straight down hill ever since there has been new ladies working at the front and whoever Will is has no communication skills what so ever… definitely won’t be returning and will let everyone I recommend know the same. (Written when their isn’t even any restrictions regarding this industry )
