Called and made a last minute appointment for gel nail removal. The spa was very nicely decorated, its a cute little place right downtown and can be easy to miss. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and offered me a beverage upon arrival. Nail removal went well, and I even received a gift at the end! Would recommend them again.

First thing’s first: you can smell the fresh, inviting, warm relaxation about a block down the street. It always makes me so happy and excited when I get a whiff of eucalyptus in the air and know that cozy warm feeling is about to envelope me as soon as i step through their doors. But on a serious note the environment is warm and inviting, the staff are beyond polite, and the service has been impeccable. Aleesa, the RMT, is always friendly. she made my first-ever massage experience completely comfortable and respectful, I felt in control of what was happening to my body, and most importantly is this: as a fat person we always feel looked at or judged. sometimes we might even feel like we don’t deserve a massage or pampering because of how our bodies look or feel. Never once have I felt any of that from Aleesa and it is very appreciated. Pure Spa and the staff are wonderful and I am looking forward to continuing to explore the wide range of services they offer.

I would recommend giving yourself a little extra time to find parking before your appointment. It's right down town and you may have to park a little ways away if it's busy out ☺️.

Enjoyed a lovely Indulgence Pedicure at Pure Spa in Nanaimo which was 75 minutes of awesome. Toes looks really great and you can keep the polish for a small fee. Parafin treatment, scrub and a foot/leg massage included. Estheticians were pleasant and welcoming. View was of the balcony and water in the distance. Unfortunately construction is underway on the deck so view was partially obstructed. Facility seems decent.

I booked an appointment to have a manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow wax and tint done before having my engagement photos taken. I spent about $150.00 and 2 1/2 hours at Pure Spa, didn't receive a massage with either my manicure or pedicure, and my gel polish chipped a day after (which was a day before my photos). I was so frustrated that they has chipped,as I got gel polish to ensure it lasted much longer than a single day. I had to run around Tofino the next day to find a salon to fix it and ended up having to find a similar nail polish and repaint all my nails. Definitely a waste of my money and my time when I could have just painted them myself in the first place.

I had a facial with Annick today and it was wonderful. As a retired spa owner I tend to be picky, but this is probably the best facial I can remember having. She did a great job. I'll be returning to Charlottetown some day and will definitely return to this spa . Everyone was friendly , helpful and professional. Lovely spa, lovely people.

I did get handed a dirty glass to drink out of when I went to leave which was not very nice. Has potential but was not the best spa experience

I have had several services at Pure Spa but recently treated myself to a hydrotherapy massage at the recommendation of a friend. It was easily the most incredible spa treatment I have had in over 30 years! I added on the sauna/steam option and enjoyed a eucalyptus steam prior to my treatment. Once in the beautifully appointed treatment room Jayna was careful to explain the procedure and made sure I was comfortable and informed throughout. Starting with a prolonged facial massage it progressed into the most amazing full body massage I’ve ever had. Ending with a body scrub with my choice of two Eminence products, I felt energized and relaxed all at the same time. I finished the experience in the sauna and then enjoyed a shower where I was surprised with the high end products provided. From the front desk staff to the amazing lounge downstairs to the caring professionals providing first class services, I can’t recommend this spa highly enough.

Booked an appointment a week ahead of time for a child's birthday party. Two days before no record of my booking and had to cancel the party. Even worse this was a rebooking of the party as the first had to be cancelled due to a medical emergency. Staff had no answer for why. And did not help. I will not go here again or recommend.

We got gifted a couples' massage for Christmas. It was probably the worst massage we've had. The oil used was gritty and got EVERYWHERE- obviously not terribly high quality. The girls were nice but clearly inexperienced. Our muscles were not worked in the slightest, just lightly touched with oil and scratched by their nails (unintentionally). We were never asked how we like to be massaged or whether the pressure was okay. The whole experience was unprofessional as well, as we had to stand there for an extra ten minutes afterwards while they complained about why the employee who wrote up the original gift card used a certain method, and discussed how they should process it into their system, though it was paid in full and had nothing to do with us. They offered us "complementary water" as an attempt at spa-like service. They had many outdated things as well, such as a CD player that kept skipping the whole time during our massage (not that hard to invest in an ipod) which took away from the experience. Would only recommend for a cheap pedicure.

My first visit to Pure Spa was on Friday, May 14 and it was a wonderful experience. Britt gave me a pedicure and she was an absolute delight. She was super professional, while being friendly & personable. I will most definitely be back. If I were to make a suggestion (but it's fairly minimal & has nothing to do with the service I received), I would ask that for online bookings, Pure Spa adds 'credit cards' for form of payment. I would prefer to book online but do not have a paypal account. I HIGHLY recommend Pure Spa and the downtown Nanaimo location is absolutely gorgeous. Covid 19 protocols were very well followed & in place!

When other people are speaking outside it can disturb the relaxation process of a massage.

I’m struggling with a really bad breakout (the worst it’s been in 7 years) and she was really good about answering my questions and giving me advice. The facial was so relaxing it’s definitely one of my favourite treatments. Kate was my RMT and she did a really great job about working out my problem areas throughly. My body feels fantastic. My husband and I love this place. Leah is amazing! We see her for the relaxation massage. A lot of times, our massages are later in the day, and it never feels rushed, or like she's just "done" for the day... You don’t feel rushed in and rushed out, and their full service treatments including the soothing paraffin wax is just what the Doctor ordered. Not enough words to express my love of Pure Spa! They filled a need in Lethbridge and did it perfectly. The location, the renovation, the services offered…everything is just top rate! I’ve had massages, facials, floats, and steam/saunas there, and every time I walk away thinking that was the best pampering I’ve ever had. It smells amazing inside. I hate when it’s time to leave. In fact, I moved away from lethbridge but whenever I’m back in town I always book a service at Pure Spa first thing! One great touch is that they offer washcloths in the bathroom to dry your hands after washing. Such a little change but shows their commitment to waste reduction. Way to go, ladies!

I had to cancel my appointment (looking to rebook) because the late 715 PM appointment couldnt work for me. I've had a few services through pure spa, and I LOVED it. Recommended to all my friends. However, today my opinion has changed. The lady on the phone didn't even ask me to rebook and interrupted me before I was able to tell her I need a different day to tell me there will be $50 charge for cancelling in under 24 hours. I was floored. I asked if she was being serious and she simply responded with "yup, its policy". As much as I love this place, I will not be returning. Customer service today was awful. I understand charging for cancels and no shows, but rescheduling?? Of course she didn't stop long enough for me to tell her I needed a different time! Do these girls not get paid if no one is there? Because that is the impression I got.

This spa is such an oasis and gem in the community. Rachel and Jayna have laid out so many thoughtful and beautiful touches around the facility that create a high end, comfortable environment. It is always incredibly quiet, despite the number of services taking place. The Hungarian Eminence Facial, Pedicures and use of the Sauna/Steam Room combo are the services I frequent and recommend them highly. Any chance to spend time here is an absolute gift and rest/recharge for the soul.

From the moment I opened the door and walked into Pure Spa, I was greeted by a smile from the caring and friendly staff. The busy world, day planners, and email reminders dissipated. The Swedish sauna and eucalyptus steam room was so relaxing and I loved that Jayna and Rachel took the time to explain the benefits of healthy wellbeing of each room. This time, for a treatment I had a pedicure. I was in a wonderful space with a calming atmosphere. The pedicure itself was invigorating and I would highly suggest saying "yes" to the wax at the end of the treatment! I didn't know that there was two chairs for pedicures, I will definitely as a friend to join in next time. Loved everything about this! I would have loved to stay all day...Pure Spa

Had a gift card from almost a year back that was about to expire. I booked two services: relaxation back and scalp massage and the most expensive manicure with gel upgrade. The staff was friendly and the premise was meticulously clean but still comfortable with fall decor. The spa is a small space but works great. The treatment room is lovely. I wasn’t keen on the downtown location because I thought parking would be a pain but my appointment was early so I got a primo spot. Both services were exactly as one would expect from a high end spa. No disappointment whatsoever. What a relaxing morning!

I would highly recommend this spa to friends. The knowledgeable owner and her lovely staff are well trained, to understand and accommodate the different needs of their clients.
