I've gone to Dandy many times and never been fully satisfied which is unfortunate since it's so close to my house. Recommendation: Go to the spa Skip the salon I have never gotten the basic hair style and color I ask for no matter how I try to explain it to the stylist. I always go home and have to fix the work I just over-paid for. I sit and listen to the stylist ramble on and ruin my hair only to leave dissatisfied and regretting my visit. I'm not going back, finally learned my lesson.

I booked a body wrap for 120mins at 930am. I arrived on time and was instructed to wait. I waited until approximated 950am when I was instructed to fill out the regular information sheet. The treatment stopped at 1130am. I asked about the other 20 mins of my treatment and was told that it includes paper work. She offered to bring the manager to answer my question. I waited another 20 mins and then the manager proceeded to tell me that the treatment time includes clean up. So the time I was waiting 930-950am was for them to clean the room. I have not had this experience at any other spa and will not be back. If this is their standard then it should be listed next to the treatment time or at least provide a lounge for the client.

Totally worth every penny of what you spend. The staff is extremely polite and knowledgable. I went in for a hair treatment and a hair cut on a Wednesday. I got a extra 20% discount as I am a student and also my hair feels much stronger and healthy. The stylist, Briana was considerate and heard me out completely and advised me thoroughly about the hair care routines without being pushy to purchase products. She is the best! Will definitely go in again. Must visit! :D

I had an incredible experience at Dandy Spa 2 days ago. This was my first time not only at Dandy’s, but also at a spa. I was unsure of myself in an atmosphere like this. But as soon as I walked in, the woman at the front desk greeted me and was so sweet and kind and soft spoken. (I forgot to get her name!) She was a great first impression! As soon as I met Arika (for a body wrap and facial- which was amazing!) I immediately felt comfortable with her, as well. She was so professional, patient, kind and so down to earth! You can tell everyone here enjoys their job. And they’re good at it! I was so happy coming out of there and I will definitely be going back

I honestly couldn't be happier with this salon. In particular Mackenzie . She has done amazing things to my hair over the last 9 months of regular visits . She took me from bright red to beautiful blonde and today to something new ! She always amazes me . When I'm not sure what I want she has the best ideas and I leave feeling like a million bucks . I got my hair done (cut and colour) by Kylie last year around holidays and I recently visited for a touch up. I appreciated receiving a quote prior and no "surprise" charges afterwards. As well, Kylie was very attentive to my idea of what I wanted, asked clarifying questions and offered helpful suggestions for styling and products based on my hair type and length. Wait times are minimal and front staff is friendly and accommodating. Overall a pleasant experience. I am excited to try other services offered by Dandy salon in the future.

I feel bad giving them a low star rating since the spa services I've received there have always been fine (which is why this isn't a one-star review). However, the last time I went in for a haircut, I received the worst service I've ever experienced from any salon. The stylist was rude, constantly tugged on my hair, and scraped me several times with the comb. When I asked her to stop because it was starting to hurt, she then complained that it was my fault for having thick hair. Funny, no one else ever had that problem when giving me a haircut. She also very nearly gave me a type of bangs that I specifically said I didn't want; maybe she should have paid more attention instead of chatting with the other staff. Fortunately, I realized what she was about to do and managed to stop her before she began cutting. The final outcome was mediocre, and considering the price they expect you to pay the overall experience was atrocious.

Pretty nice place and friendly staff. Well let’s be more specific. 1. They accept several method of booking appointment. Most important, they reply ur message super fast. 2. Every Wednesday you can show ur student ID and get a student discount. I hope they could give out more days but it’s good anyway. 3. Cozy. Always ask u for a tea or coffee, well I never take one but they are so kind.

Amazing staff, very helpful and informative.The music is excellent, the staff is friendly and genius at what they do, the atmosphere is warm and relaxing. Karis is my hairstylist, I just went to her for the first time two days ago and I've never been happier with my hair as I am now that she helped me fix it. I showed her a picture of what I wanted done and she got it down to a science, it's perfect and I love it! I was also having some issues with my ex following me around and they were all very concerned for me and even let me escape out the back entry to ensure my safety. This salon goes above and beyond for their clientele, I will certainly be coming back for my next hair appointment and I strongly recommend it to everyone looking for a wonderful experience and a truly fabulous hairstyle!

I’ve had my hair done with Amy (I think ???? sorry but she was wonderful because I have baby fine hair & she took the time to really hear what I wanted) I’ve had massage therapy with both Tammy & Jessica & most recently a pedicure with a beautiful, witty, young Irish lady who made me laugh & treated me with kindness. The owner, Pam delivers exceptional customer service & makes the clients feel most welcome. I was even given a purse size Aveda hand cream - that was a really nice touch. The front end reception are very pleasant and accommodating. Just wanted to give you all a shout out for your hard work & dedication. Especially in an industry where some people expect the world & are difficult to please. Give yourselves a pat on the back! Hope to see you in the new year!

The girl who cut my hair was totally inexperienced and after 40mins, haircut wasn't what I asked(simple man haircut) but still payed $60. I can say that customer service was good so because of that I am giving 2 stars instead of 1.

I received a manicure and pedicure. The receptionist was very kind and welcoming and the atmosphere nice. However the spa area upstairs where they do nail services wasn’t great. The seating is fairly uncomfortable and there is a hot, bright light right above your eyes. The technician did a fine job with the service and was very thorough. It did seem to take a long time though. I was there for 2.5 hours which seemed extensive to me? Unfortunately the topics my technician was conversing about with me were also a bit uncomfortable and controversial, which unfortunately did not make it a very relaxing experience. For the price and level of service, I do not think I would visit again for spa services.

From the moment I stepped into Dandy, I knew I was going to LOVE my experience. Every single person I interacted with was phenomenal. The front desk staff were kind and helpful. I had hair a hair cut done by Kylie, and waxing done by Aisling. They were both incredibly skilled, passionate, warm and efficient. As it was my first time visiting the salon, they were both very attentive and thorough when it came to asking me questions and listening to my thoughts. I felt like a brand-new lady leaving the salon! What was better was the care Kylie took in teaching me the techniques I’d need to style my hair as she had. Aisling’s waxing left me both hair-free where I needed to be, and pain-free with very minimal redness or irritation. Coming from a blonde who bruises like a peach and gets red as a tomato, this was a big deal! I mentioned to her that I was incredulous at how efficient she was at waxing...she was lightning fast. She joked with me that she’s "one of the slower ones" - that's definitely not true! The salon and spa areas are extremely clean and well-thought out. It’s a beautiful escape. They also offer a really great student discount, which sweetens the experience. From what I've seen on their social media channels and in the salon, they also offer tons of discounts/perks for everyone too! Overall, I cannot say enough about my services and the staff at Dandy, I will continue to come back! Thank you all!

My fist time (and last time) at this this place for a mani and pedicure. Long story short, they charged over $120 for the manicure and pedicure, however since they don't use the proper equipment to dry the nail polish, my toe nail polish was stuck to my shoes by the time I got back home, and my figure nail polish was dented and peeled. It was the combination of poor quality nailpolish and lack of a UV box to dry it. I ended up buying nail polish from Shoppers to fix my nails. There is no question that they are overpriced, but what is more disappointing is the standards that they hold ... I do not recomment this place for manicure or pedicure AT ALL!!

Eight years. It took eight years and multiple salons in three cities in the Edmonton area, before finally finding Taylor at Dandy Salon & Spa. Taylor had been cutting my mom’s hair for years, and came highly recommended, but I resisted. It was too far...too inconvenient…not enough parking. I stopped making excuses in July and made an appointment to see Taylor. I was not disappointed. I asked about price and his quote was exactly what I was charged in the end. No hidden fee for styling…a toner…the water used to wash my hair. (Days of disposable income are a thing of my past, so the straightforward pricing is very much appreciated.) The highlights and cut were exactly what I was hoping for. I went back to see Taylor for a second time this past Saturday. Another excellent experience and proof that the first visit wasn’t just a one-off. On top of being extremely skilled and talented when it comes to hair, Taylor is all kinds of awesome. He is energetic, easy-going, funny, and creative. Every now and then I would catch myself staring in the mirror, mesmerized as he so expertly snipped and sculpted. It was like watching an artist, immersed in his craft. The staff at the front were wonderful to deal with, also. Friendly, genuine and welcoming. No pretense or attitude. Parking is a bit of a b*tch. However, there is an underground parkade that is super convenient, and if you visit on a Saturday, there is ample free parking on the neighbouring side streets. So, while it is still a bit far… a bit inconvenient...and the parking isn’t the greatest, a visit to Dandy Salon and Spa, for an appointment with Taylor, is absolutely worth it.

I went to Dandy and saw Celine for a cut and colour and loved her! She was really nice and easy to talk to and we just chatted the whole time. I wanted a 'lob' but I wanted it to be suited to my face and without even having to show her any photos she knew exactly what I wanted. She recommended I go a little bit longer than shoulder length because my hair grows very fast and my face is very narrow. I got balayage highlights and they look so good! I asked for them to be a couple shades lighter than my hair but not super blonde and she got it completely how I was picturing. She even styled it perfect, which was great because I had plans after. I also love the shampoo they use. I love, love my hair and I will definitely be going back to see Celine. If you can get in with her I would recommend her to everyone!

I always come here and get a mens cut and alway request jayde, extremely professional, pleasant to talk to, loves what she does, plus nice and quick. Very clean place with chill natural vibes. If you haven't gone here yet I highly recommend trying it out and you'll never have to look for another salon.

Candace is a goddess for those with crazy thick hair. The reception staff are always professional and efficient, and attend to me as soon as they can. They always offer me a beverage while I wait for Candace to perform her magic on my unruly mane. (The Avenda tea is great!). The space is always clean, bright, and it always smells nice too. Candace is simply amazing. She is the first hair dresser in years that I felt comfortable enough to go back to. I've been her client for about half a year or so, and I have not gone to anyone because I know she has the skill to cut thick thick hair. She is friendly, professional, and always take your opinion/needs into account before cutting your hair. But I'd your want her professional advice, she will always be open to giving you get professional opinion, as well as her reasoning behind so. Also, even though some may see this is trivial, she ALWAYS lets me run my fingers through my hair before taking the apron off to see if there's anywhere in my hair that I want to be thinned out more. I always walk out of the salon feeling super happy with my hair. 10/10 would recommend. Ask for Candace if you want her to work her magic. Note: she is a Director level stylist, so her prices are a bit more. I take advantage of the 20% student discount on Wednesdays and usually book my appointments accordingly to help offset the cost a bit.

I’ve got curly hair and although I was a bit apprehensive about cutting it short, I decided to go for it anyways and Jayde did exactly what I wanted and better. She followed my directions and used her expertise to make a few suggestions in order to fit my hair type. I’ve also had Kaily and she was super as well!

I have lots of hair and find that stylist's are always trying to tell me what to do with it, but Celine doesn't push products or preach to me and just does what I ask of her. She does a great job every time and is sweet and friendly :) Celine is the only stylist that I have let cut my hair in over 6 years!

Went to get my first colour in around 2 years with a cut as well. Service over all was good. My stylist was Becky and I just felt like our chemistry wasn't so great- first time around the colour was much too light for my liking and she graciously changed it to a darker version, but now the colour doesn't look like what I wanted at all. I felt the cut was very overpriced ($63) for the effect, which was essentially a trim. I was sort of disappointed that I didn't receive a blow dry at the end as I am used to in all of my previous haircuts, as she thought we agreed to letting my hair stay in its "natural curls". I understand the appointment stretched out a bit late due to the second toning, but I really would have liked to see the colour stand out more with the blow dry. Overall the effect looks like my old colour faded out, and a lot of people didn't even notice that I got a colour done. Can't say I will be returning.

I went to the salon mainly because of the groupon, but I would definitely come again even without that option! It’s a beautiful salon with a relaxing feel. The reception was good- maybe a little lack lustre and unfriendly but still ticked most of the bases for me. I felt like the stylist really listened to me and understood the idea of what I wanted well. (My stylist was great, I can’t remember her name though). My treatment included a scalp massage — which was kinda weird so if you’re not really a person who doesn’t like to be touched (like me) just skip that option. It also included a cut, wash, and style. The haircut— went well and I like the way she styled it at the end. I didn’t think she quite got my bangs right but they’re passable with the right styling. Overall, I quite enjoyed my experience and will be returning!

Went for a cut and style yesterday. The guy that help me was so nice, and funny. The atmosphere was nice and clean. I will definitely be back. I didn't like that I couldn't use a gift certificate from Wayspa, nor my groupon for the salon service. But hopefully I can use them for one of their spa options. They look amazing.

Amy cuts and colours my hair. She is always very friendly, professional, and above all does an amazing job. She goes above and beyond to make sure that she gets all the details right. All the staff at Dandy are friendly and helpful. I love the little details that Dandy gets right, like how they offer you coffee, tea, water, or a selection of alcoholic beverages if you desire while you have your service done. While you are waiting during a colouring service, I have always been given a warm towel and hand cream sample to try. And when I had my eyebrows waxed, complimentary makeup was offered to cover the redness. I have always had a great experience here and plan to keep coming to Dandy.

Was in need of some pampering and booked myself in a body polish and my boyfriend in for a mineral mud wrap at the same time. My service was with Erika she was fantastic, very experienced and thorough. My skin has never been so smooth and hydrated and their jet tub is unreal. My boyfriend also really enjoyed the mineral mud wrap and head and foot massage. I have booked myself for next days off for a 90 minute facial with Erika and cannot wait to see the results! If you're looking to pamper yourself is definitely worth the price!

Not very happy with my experience at this Salon. I went in for a pedicure, they charged and extra $10 to remove the nail polish that was on my toenails and they didn't have any power equipment to file down my nails so they just soaked them for 30 minutes which extended my pedicure to over an hour even though it didn't include any feet shaving, massage...nothing. It was literally nail polish removal and nail polish application for $75. The nail polish was also applied very poorly and there are bump and smears in it...not impressed at all.

I had my hair done by Karis. . . She is AMAZING. Wherever I get my hair done I normally end up leaving disappointed about 1 thing, like the way the hair dresser styled my hair or the way they cut my bangs, etc. I don't have 1 bad thing to say. The salon was beautiful and comfortable, the staff was great, Karis is extremely detailed and is amazing with foils and color. She takes her time and really listens to you and will give great advice on what your hair needs. I love when a hairdresser can look at my hair and instantly know what's wrong with it or what they can do to make it look even better - that's exactly what she did for my hair and I've honestly never had such an amazing cut and color. This is now my only salon I'll go to! :)

Karis does a great job on my haircut, styles it, and I'm out within an hour lunch break. I also love that I can book appointments online, so when I think of it at 11pm, I can just book it rather than remember to call during the day. The student discount on Wednesday is nice too. Although it is a little on the pricey side, I love the service that is provided here. I've seen a few hair stylists here and they have been very friendly from beginning to end. I always feel at ease and am confident that they will take care of me and my needs. In addition to their hair cutting services, I have gone in for facial hair removal once and makeup/beauty consultations 2 times. The ladies are very knowledgeable in their fields and, again, I feel at ease in their capable hands. I would highly recommend this place if you have something important coming up and need quality a hair cut/hair styling.

I’ve been going to Arika for a pedicure for a couple years now! The last time, there was a mix up with the payment (husband left visa for it but they missed it and charged me for it). After I left the manager called to apologize and offered a replacement pedicure. Then COVId hit! After 14 months, I called the spa and they still honoured the pedicure. Arika is always professional but fun with a great sense of humour! Annnd my toes look great! I will continue going back for sure! Thank you Dandy Spa!

Her facials have improved my complexion - she knows just what to do and provides her expertise and advice so I can maintain it between visits. So I just got my nails done here so you dont have to. Any random day of my life I can polish my nails better than this. Nails were not given enough time to cure and the coat is not even. I had taken my glasses off since I trusted this place but once I came home and looked at my nails realized they were awful. And the pricetag was hefty. I paid $70 for this mess. Staff were arrogant (not the lady who polished my nails, other staff) and rude. Just save yourself a headache and avoid this place. I'm travelling tomorrow and this polish is so bad that I have to go to another salon to remove this.

Just visited Dandy for the first time today and it was great! I had Becky who was wonderful; she really listened to what I wanted and gave me a great cut that's low-maintenance and fun. She's the first stylist I've had in Edmonton who didn't try to put product in my hair that I didn't want, then try to sell me said product. Great atmosphere and friendly staff too!

Highly recommend getting nails and facial done by Aisling! She is the best! Highly recommend her. I have been seeing her for few years now! My mani pedi lasts so much longer than other places and it wasn't even gel. She did an excellent job with my cuticles - they were so well trimmed. Facial was detailed and elaborate and I felt like ten layers from my skin were lifted! I have been to so many places for these services and will never look for it anywhere except with Aisling!

Well only we found the session was booked in for 30 + 15 Mins but I am sure I have been completed in Rush and was wrapped up in 25 MINS exactly. I got my eyebrows waxed by Arika for the first time today and I will definitely be back! She was exceptionally kind and gentle. She did my brows exactly how I wanted them. The salon is lovely, peaceful with a sorta boho vibe. Very clean and the front desk ladies were lovely. The pricing for waxing services is even a bit lower than other salons which is a bonus.

I see Taylor at Dandy, and I absolutely LOVE him. The salon is stunning, welcoming and the staff are all great to deal with. I am definitely a loyal customer, and have already referred my mother, and two coworkers. Can't say enough great things about Taylor and his team!! I have not tried the spa side, but I look forward to it!

Ive been going to this beautiful location for over 3 years. The spa team is always wonderful. Always had a great experience with them no matter what the service was. The hair team is very hit and miss. First hair dresser I had was Michael and he was simply styling my hair...he was cold, rude, unfriendly and uninspired with an overall pretty crappy attitude. Seemed annoyed that I was there and after I while I gave up on trying to make conversation. I left with an expensive mediocre style that I changed at home. Never want back to him. Decided to try going in for a hair cut there due to convenience after months of staying away. Mackanzie did a pretty good job. She was really friendly and easy to talk to . Overall good experience. I also really enjoyed her styling and got many compliments about my hair at an event. Another negative experience with Dandy was when I needed my hair styled for a very important event. Mackenzie was off that day so I got Celine.... she was really unfriendly and cold from the start. Really impatient when I told her I didn't like the way it was looking....my hair looked like a helmet :s. Would never go back to her again. It was a very uncomfortable hour. I went home and spend 40 min changing the hair style. As for the receptionists, lately they have been getting much better. Some of the ones before really had an attitude problems which took away from such a beautiful salon. Overall if you are looking for spa services, you can't wrong here. But may need to think twice about getting your hair done here.

I wish I could show pictures on here. Brought one pic in to show them. They said no problem we can do that. It was chunky layers throughout. Lots of volume and lots of layering around face. First hair dresser cut my bangs off on an angle way to short and no layers. Took my beautiful long hair and butchered it. Complained and got someone else there to fix it. She did put more layers in apologized about my now angled to short bangs. Said well they will grow back. Now I'm sitting here in tears and it isn't even close to the hair cut I paid big money for! I hate it. Will probably go to Evelyn Charles tomorrow for another hair cut. See if they can fix it! I went there because i didn't want a cheap cut. And I've had better cuts from high school students.

Went in for a free cut. Thought that the appointment was set but apparently not. Came right on time while others came in 10-15 minutes late. Paid for parking and waited like an idiot for 50 minutes before anyone gave me a second thought. Very nice place and the rest of the staff are friendly but If you get Jayde Morin walk away.

I have been going to Dandy for 2.5 years now and really like the place. Before I decided to check out Dandy because of their student promotion, I didn't take my haircuts to seriously. Just the short buzzcut was fine with me. But after seeing what my hairstylist Karis came up with the first time, I have been going ever since. Nice building and atmosphere and the products they use are nice. Definitely more pricey than a DIY buzzcut but worth the cost.

Wasn't fond of this place 5 years ago...still not fond of it today. Service was below spa expectations and massage was...well...not good. Seemed like the therapist had no interest in being there which trickled down into her techniques. Booked a 90 minute actually only got 75. Won't return. Music and Chinese mint oil was nice though.

Very professional and kind! Everyone listened to what I wanted to do with my hair and offered suggestions. I was never unhappy with my haircut. They were able to find my gift card in the system when I lost it, which was fantastic! I'm disappointed to be moving, as I really recommend it.

The person was nice enough and I felt mostly relaxed but the table I was on had no head rest so when I got up, my neck had some intense pain. Also the main concern was that I wanted some color evening on my face and I didn't get that, nor did she really explain what she was doing and what it was for. She did warn me that extraction would hurt and if it was too bad to let her know which was nice, and to her credit the arm massage was okay. But it was just too expensive for what you get. Also the front staff person didn't seem very welcoming. Plus they literally charge you for masks that are mandatory. Yeah overall not impressed. Edit: The manager did contact me to get feedback and was apologetic. I truly did appreciate that and it wasnt my goal to hurt any reputation of staff. But the care shown by personally contacting patrons for feedback is a sign of a good establishment. We all have bad days at times and acknowledging points to work on and encouraging growth is the way to go.

Terrible Experience!!! I will never return or recommend. I was treated absolutely terrible when I came in for a manicure/pedicure; the esthitician didn't have time for my appointment, told me I could only have a nail colour change, and continued to rush me through my appointment to fit in another girl. Upon choosing my colour (she wouldn't do the design I wanted, made me pick a solid colour) she socialized my colour to other esthiticians, embarrassing me saying "Ew, we never use this colour, I am not sure we even have it. Pick a new one" - where in fact this colour matched my dress for a wedding I had this weekend. She asked me if I was new at this salon, I said yes it came recommended, her reply was "Well, why, is your nail lady busy today?". I just wanted to try a new spa. She was falling behind in her appointments and asked a non-esthitician to finish my nails and was more motivated to try and find someone to do my colour than finishing my appointment. She didn't even say goodbye, but made a harsh statement of "You must be a student". I am not sure if this was a negative comment, but the delivery was in a negative context, and made me feel very judged. Overall, the service was horrible, I didn't get the service I booked in, and I was treated like an inconvenience to the staff.
