Saturday afternoon I was in a dilemma. I needed a caliper to replace a faulty one I installed last year. It was 3:30 pm Saturday NAPA and Honda Dealership parts were closed. Canadian tire would take days for curbside pickup. So I googled parts store in the area open on a Saturday afternoon. PartSource popped up and I gave them a call. They had the caliper in stock and it was available for curbside pickup right away. They saved my day!! I highly recommend them for your parts needs!

They always have everything in stock when I go in to get what I need, if they don't have it then by the following work day they will !!! They also have good sales that will save you some money on some of the stuff they sell. If you are a do-it-yourselfer than I recommend using this place for auto parts and other related stuff. The prices are reasonable and lower than Canadian Tire eventho they belong to the same company.???? The only downside is that the company should look into opening a 24hrs location for those ????️ emergency ????️ situations.???????????? Prices are hit as miss, as is dealing with the staff. Their phone customers seem more important than the ones standing at the counter with cash in hand. Staff has failed to mention options when choosing different grades of parts, such as telling me they are selling premium brakes when they are selling me mid grade, and when I phone the next day for the same year model of vehicle, get a different clerk, and now my options change?! Meanwhile they've had stock of all grades all along and failed to relay me the proper information. It would be nice if the staff were more knowledgeable, or at least give the perception, and valued walk in customers a bit more.

It’s 2021 and I’m shocked how the boys in there treated me like it was the 50’s. I went in and asked for the starter that my boyfriend had called in about for his truck. The first gentleman signaled me to his cash and was very helpful, the teenage boys at the front of the store however, were laughing about how “no women ever” would know what a starter is. I didn’t realize what’s between my legs determined my knowledge, what an informative day!

Asked for a tool loan over the phone and when I got there, they had given it to someone else, thinking it was me (the words of the employee). When I asked if they could check another location, they told me two were available at Queensway, ready to loan. When I got there, there were two for sale and their loaner was out, and that the St Clair location is consistently wrong at reading parts availability. Don't waste your time with this location, go somewhere else.

Ok. So I'm Canadian and just moving back from the states. My car has Kansas plates. I think that's very important and speaks to the prejudice. I had a check engine light that was going on and off. It was suggested by mechanic here in Toronto take it to parts source to have the electrical test done . This would avoid the cost of them doing it. The pictures I post clearly state on the building they offer free electrical testing. I went into the store to speak with one of the associates. At first one gentleman was very nice he was an older man, younger man came over however and took over the conversation. First he told me I had misread the sign that they loan free tools they do not do free electrical testing. I exclaimed to him that he was welcome to send step outside and see for himself to sign clearly states free electrical testing. At this point he changed and asked me if I had a check engine light on. I told him it wasn't when I walked in the store however it kept blinking on and off which is why it was suggested to come here. At this point he laughed at me and told me the test wouldn't work. At this point I explained that since the light comes and goes every 15-20 seconds, the test would surely pick that up. Again he laughed at me and explained that I insisted on having it done, He could do this for a donation. At this point I was flabbergasted that this young , disrespectful , lying , person was an example of the new Canadian. So be prepared when you Shop here to be at the mercy of the staff. Their adverts and posted signs mean nothing. In the end he suggested a place in New York. Punk. Lying deceitful business.

I’ve shopped here on occasion. A great place to find general common parts without going to Canadian tire. Staff: staff have always been pleasant. I have I. Occasion ran into some whom made question their knowledge. But that happens everywhere Parts and selection: I typically buy oil, filters, odds and ends for tools, and the odd diy parts (brake pads/calipers, wipe motors, gasket kits etc). I’ve always had success with what I was looking for. Storefront: usually tidy and presentable. Sometimes the location of items make it hard to find, but it’s not a huge area, so it’s not a big deal. Overall: I’d recommend this place for standard parts and maintenance items. If you require more detailed parts, go to your dealership.

Terrible customer service. Had a problem with my headlight bulb, wasn't turning completely to seal like the old one. Both staff said they couldn't help me because it's against policy. Wasn't asking for them to replace my headlight, just to come look if I was doing it properly but both staff in an empty store said it was against policy to help. Turns out the old gasket had come off which stopped the new bulb from fitting. Super simple but don't go to this store because they will go out of their way to not help you.

I walked into the store, took a jug of antifreeze off the shelf and just as I was putting it on the counter, the phone rang. Well we all know that the tire kicker on the phone is more important than the customer who is actually standing there ready to buy, so Ryan took the phone call. Several minutes into this call, the phone rang again. While there were a total of four staff visible to me, Ryan I guess is the only one able to answer the phone, so naturally he answered that call and put them on hold. The first call ended, without acknowledging me, Ryan immediately took the second call. Then the third phone call came in. Same thing. After the second call concluded, Ryan finally acknowledged me but immediately took the third call. At this point I interrupted him, told him I was in a hurry and suggested that if he couldn't handle my purchase, one of the other staff could. He replied that he was the only one on till and then took the third call. I left the antifreeze on the counter, walked out, drove down to Piston Ring where I was served immediately. I will not be back to Parts Source.

I needed windshield washer blades. Always a struggle to install. Matthew was fantastic. Helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and figured out how to install the rear blade, which I probably would never have figured out. You have to do it blind under the covering. Thank you Matthew. The good: professional customer service, has almost any part you one in stock The bad: the prices are high compared to Amazon. (Some parts are ridiculously high such as ignition coils, for 1 coil this place wanted $70 plus tax, and on Amazon I got all 8 ignition coil for an f150 for $75 + tax) Moral of the story is always shop at least 3 or 4 places before you buy from here. Ordered a part for my car on Friday. They had to get it from a third party so I had to pre-pay. They would not take my credit card over the phone so I had to physically go there (which was a slight inconvenience). I asked how much it was, they told be $19 and some change. I go there to pay for said part and told them I would like to put it under an account on file to get the discount. This inflated the price to $26 and then discounted it from that, which I paid roughly $17 after the discount. Watch the prices when going to buy parts here if you have an account!

I stopped in mid-day on Dec. 22 and purchased 2 new wiper blades. I'm generally a self-serve kind of guy but an employee asked if he could help me. I told him what I needed and what kind of car (my wife's) and he picked the two (as they are different sizes) from the selection and handed them to me. When I arrived home later I went to install them but only one was the correct fit for my wife's car. It was almost 5:00 but I live very close and wasn't sure if they closed at 5 or 6. When I pulled up the store lights were on and I could see two employees standing behind the counter. They both turned and I could tell they could see me. By the time I'd grabbed my part turned off the ignition and got out of the car, the one employee (same guy who'd helped me earlier) had made his way to the front door and locked it as I approached. He made eye contact with me and I held up the part. He opened the door a crack and asked how he could help me. I explained and he simply said I'd have to come back tomorrow. I said "but I'm here right now". He said he couldn't help me because he was "locked out of the system". I told him this is terrible service. He locked the door in my face. When I got back in the car the time on the clock was 5:05. Despite the proximity of this store to my home I will never shop there again.

I tried to ask a simple question over the phone, and the young man who answered the phone was clearly too busy to put any effort into answering my question, nor did he know anything about parts (makes me wonder about the hiring process?). I wasted my time coming down in person, and discovered that they did not have the supply I needed (I could have very easily been told this over the phone). As a result of my (wasted) trip, I was too late to make it to a store that actually had what I needed before they closed. I'm very unhappy and won't be returning because unfortunately this is not the first time that staff have been rude and ignorant.

Came in ordered parts they made me at to bring them from another store before they would order. Wrong parts show up. I forgot receipt the same girl who and ordered wouldn't give me a refund two hours later. Had to go back and get my receipt. Wont go back

I was in desperate need of a fan belt, not for a car but for a furnace. It was a Sunday afternoon and I didn’t think I’d have much luck. Chris Becvar was unbelievably helpful when trying to cross reference the specs. We found the right one and got my customer out of a jam. Thanks Chris!

This place is a joke. They have no clue about what they are talking about. I went in to buy high and low pressure caps for a/c and was told by two employees nobody sells them have to go to scrap yard and hophope to find them. I then asked are they not the same for all cars and employees replied yes. So then asked again are you sure none available for sale anywhere. Once again told have to go to dealership or scrap yard hope I find one. What a joke. Went on phone while pretending to browse and looked up 4 places that sell these in 5min. BE CAREFUL EXPENSIVE ITEM TO TRUST WITH PEOPLE WHO REALLY HAVE NO CLUE OR ARE WILLING TO BLATANTLY LIE TO YOUR FACE Stay Away Gord Hunt

Good over the phone but it seems that authenticating the correct parts on an order was low on their costumer satisfaction priority list. Called well in advance for coated front rotors and other items. I called again to confirm the arrival of the order before pickup. I arrive at the store to find that my “rotor” order went from two coated rotors to one coated and one economy rotor... Then they blame their colleagues at the Vaughan location for it. Doesn’t take much to verify an order’s authenticity and to confirm it when the client calls. Especially when two of the items, which are meant to be identical, come in two differently labeled packages. Hope this serves as a good learning opportunity.
