These guys don't have an "metal detecting" device. They use magnets to determine different types of steels. We lost out on 165lbs of stainless steel (302 grade) because it had a slight magnetic pull. I argued with one of the guys there but he was a know-it-all (New Jersey type) and refused to give me what I was owed. Next time I will go back to Pasco Iron & Metal (PIM) where they have treated me better in the past.

This was my second time ever trying to recycle anything. I can't say enough good things about this place. The man that helped me was Wyatt. He he took time out of his day to explain to me all the different grades and what was worth cleaning and separating and what wasn't and how much more money I would get if I just took a few minutes of time and separated a few things out instead of just bringing them a whole pile of metal all mixed together. He let me go and clean it up and bring it back to get the most money for the least amount of time and effort on my part. I've been coming to this center for about 7 years now and I don't come here just because it's local. I come here because I always receive good service, paired with friendly, cool, hard working staff that is willing to help when I have a heavy load. I run a small garage door business and I have heavy pieces of steel that are hard to move after a long day. Plus, the in and out times are quick.

They make it very hard to scrap vehicles. Stopped going there many years ago and tried again and wanted a title to scrap a wrecked truck bed. Never again.

It wasn't ran the way that it was but now that Susan Beard has become manager it is finally it is being ran the way that it was when it was central the owner must be very proud to have her and the rest of the crew that works there with her and for her the way that they do their jobs keep the place clean and operating very well and they are always very helpful and are ready to help you unload whatever you bring in to them!!
