1-800 GOT JUNK has earned my loyalty as a customer since the first time I used your service and each time since. If I could write a small novel about why you are an amazing company, I would. I’ll go over a few that really stand out. Punctual. Every time, fantastic communication from the pre-call to the call right before they show up and the start of the project, always to military time. Kind and courteous. Not every house is a simple “extra stuff” house. Mine is one of those that has some emotional baggage attached to it. Not once do you see anything other than willingness to do the job and smiles. This is huge because it liberates not only the clutter but allows for emotional healing during the process instead of shame and embarrassment. Not once did they utter something under their breath, not once did they look at the items and balk. They did their jobs and kept such a professional and kind aura around them, I just can’t say enough about how this made me feel. It’s embarrassing having all this stuff, it’s not fun to live with it, but in the end, when you are ready to get rid of it, it was as simple as pointing at it and it literally went away. Respect and attention to detail. Half of my house is under construction and I even told these guys that from the stairs down they could freely bang the walls, studs and not care because it’s totally down to boards. These guys said “thank you” but carried on as if they were in a million dollar house. They got all the stuff to the front yard and put it on the truck and not one single piece of tiny plastic is in the grass, it’s ALL GONE. Heck, I think they even swept up the grit I had thrown down the week prior on the ice. Honest and up front. Of course, I’ve come to expect this with your company and each time I’m shocked how it’s less than I thought. I even tell them I expect this to be a full truck and it was a few tiers below the full line and I got charged for less than the full truck. Trust me, it would have been the easy way out to just say “well he said full truck, it’s a ton of stuff, full truck it is” but they didn’t. They showed me the full pricing table before they started and he showed it again at the end, I mean, that’s some stand up stuff right there. You liberated a man today of clutter and junk that I’ve had to live with for so long and you granted me with respect and dignity while you were doing it. These guys that were here today deserve to be used as positive examples. And I’ve never had a bad experience with using your service, and it amazes me how you continue to staff your company with this sort of individual. Your company deserves to be known as one of the most outstanding organizations I’ve ever done business with. I do business with many large companies as an IT consultant and I know that corporate culture like yours is so rare and you have been like this every time I’ve used you, dating back to 2009. I give you my full permission to post this, use it, contact me about and promote with this review of your company. I’ll answer any call from anyone and I’ll even do a video or review if needed. My experience with your company is so outstanding it needs to be known. I know there are others like me out there that are digging out of a nightmare, embarrassed to even call for removal because they don’t want to be seen as “that person” and these people need to know that your company is the one to contact. My x-wife was a hoarder and it’s taken me almost 2 years to get even the upstairs together. Today was the start of the downstairs and what a wonderful start it was. You will be hearing from me very soon to continue the push to finally reclaim my house.

We were able to get a couple of guys to come out next day to take a large amount of furniture and some trash items. The 2 gentlemen that came were prompt, courteous, and efficient. Cannot recommend highly enough. We had tried to donate several antiques to the Salvation Army, and after scheduling 2 weeks in advance and then waiting for them to pick up for two whole days (after being told we were the first stop?), they showed up at 4pm with a full truck and told us they wouldn’t take anything. The volunteers who were driving the truck were also very rude. The experience with Got Junk was ???? the opposite of that. I can’t express enough how thankful I am. While the 2 guys helping us did not know this, these items were being donated after a death in our family which has been very stressful and traumatic. The ease and the great service really took a huge burden off of my mother and I will recommend far and wide. Also very glad that Got Junk donates to charities and then burns the rest of the items for renewable energy, keeping items out of landfills.

I had 2 experiences in the same weekend (my first time doing anything like this). Last minute calls (my fault) and they came on the same day (grateful). Both sets of professionals were super duper sweet human beings.. they listened to my priorities and my budgets, and they cleared it all up! Estimates were transparent and they really worked with me to ensure it’s all fair. I would highly recommend for folks who have a lot of trash they don’t want to deal with themselves (heavy, stinky, sharp, ect). Please consider them when you’re in a pinch. The estimate is free and to be honest they will get rid of it quicker than u and they recycle recyclables and whatnot. Love it.

Moving My Aunt out of her Apartment over the weekend and called these guy's. I was told that they were going to come and do an estimate. They showed up with an empty truck and 3 guys, Told me they could take everything today. I was pleasently pleased! It was a lot more expensive than what I planned on, However! Used them twice, disappointed both times. The first time I had them remove a very small sectional. They showed up, the young men were very professional and personanable. they took the two small pieces and tossed them over the balconey (with my permission) to a point right behind their truck. Then they showed me the cost for removing a sectional ($300) I asked " for this sectional?" they told me that this was their only pricing model. $300 dollars for 5 minutes work is way too expensive. Recently I needed help removing a 1990 era 35" TV from a townhome my aunt sold. The TV was on the second floor, I assumed another outrageous charge ... that was not the case, it was only $130 (which was reasonable for a 2nd floor removal comparitively) the issue was that they called me for payment, they had to leave a message because I was in a business meeting -- when I returned their calls minutes later (2 different numbers) the calls went to voice mail with the message that niether number had a voice mail box set up. They told the new owner that they would not take the item without payment (reasonable) and the relator ended up paying them. I ended uo using Venmo to pay the realtor. Way too much hassle for the service rendered.

The guys were fabulous on a hot and miserable day carrying a full truckload of stuff from our basement in bags that I often made too heavy. They had great teamwork, and I feel so much more free with all of that stuff out of my house. I will likely have them back in the Fall to do more work on my garage - they offered that they could bring another truck even today, but I’m not quite ready for that and all of that junk is at least contained in cabinets and the rafters! This is my second experience with 1-800-GOT-JUNK, and both have been extremely positive. I highly recommend them!

They surprise you with the cost when picking up your junk. The registration on their website mentions NOTHING about the cost. I tried to look for it and could not find it. College Hunks does a better job at explaining the cost when you sign up on their website. I will use College Hunks next time.

I give 5 stars for the crew — Jordan and Mitchell who were worked hard to make it a good experience. I had nearly a full truckload with some bulky and heavy items. I would give 3-4 stars for the price, but I have to say the junk did disappear and my back feels fine. In that way it is priceless. I give 3 stars for the ability of the customer service to NOT be able to redeem a valid coupon for the job a few hours later, because it didn’t get presented at the time of the transaction. --UPDATE: local 800-JUNK did credit the coupon after and explanation and supporting documentation on the coupon. They're fast and will remove anything you want gone. No more trying to con friends into helping you with heavy stuff that you want to get rid of. The guys were great. They physically broke apart a lounger in my loft to get it out. They don’t take oil or paint which was disappointing and because they took away some concrete construction rubble the pricing changed to load weight. The entire load cost me a week’s salary but it was worth it to be able to use my barn again. I would recommend them but only pick up one type of junk.

The gentleman that knocked on our door was built like a bean pole. Turns out he's the trainer of new "got junk" guys! We were legitimately impressed that just the two of them were able to get the items out without hurting themselves, the house, and without using any tools. We'd absolutely recommend them to anyone. It was a little expensive, but not bad considering they remove, transport, and dispose of the items. They were on time, courteous, and very good at what they do.

I called and got an appointment when it worked with my schedule. The two men kept me well-informed of when they planned to arrive; were on time; and very professional. I thought you were way to expensive. You charged me $400 to haul away a Lazy Chair and an 85” TV. It was a 15 minute job! This little trick of not disclosing your pricing until you get to the location is at least unethical and may be illegal. Then, your driver had the nerve to solicit a tip. The claims about respecting the pandemic protocols were false: Neither worker had a mask. I specifically requested you remind them to wear a mask at my house. I would never use you again and I will discourage people from using your service who ask me my opinion.

HUGE fan of this company!! If you’re looking to have unwanted items removed- give this place a call! I placed a call at noon on a Saturday.. I was expecting them to say the soonest they could pick up my stuff would be Monday... but nope! The crew was there in 3 hours, loaded everything up in less than 20 mins, and were gone! The employees I dealt with were Ryan in customer service, and Tony Charlie &Xavier for junk collecting. Highly recommend asking for that crew of guys! They saved me so much time and energy and I’m beyond grateful! Moving sucks and this is the best way to get rid of unwanted items. Going to the dump to drop items off is like 100 bucks a trip - so If you need to get rid of a bunch of stuff, save your body and spend a few hundred bucks to have these guys do it for you! Their estimate was less than half the price, at just $130, this includes labor, tax, and disposal!!! Pickup is next week. 1-800-Got-Junk would not do a price match. Guaranteed "best" price? Yeah, right.

In the middle of cleaning out an old barn, the guys came in and took over trying to move some massive old metal desks, some upholstered furniture, an old console TV, and an old washing machine. All were useless to us, but the desks were in perfect condition, the furniture just needed legs and the washing machine was a brand that routinely worked for decades and just needed some new hoses. It's really important to me that these things aren't just being put in landfills, but can be reused in one form or another. The guys were great; as advertised, they went where they were pointed.

Everything was wonderful! When they called to check in and give a more accurate arrival time I said I needed to pull some stuff out from under the stairs and he insisted that I leave it for them to take care of. They arrived and I walked them through the house, they got to work and I was able to take a little break from cleaning. We filled the truck and from what I saw they were very proficient in how they put all the stuff in there. It looked like a Tetris game! When the two guys arrived, they were awesome and let us know pricing right away. They got everything out very quickly and we were extremely pleased with the work. The only reason I took off one star is because when I called to schedule the appt, the call center rep quoted me at a much lower price than what the guys quoted upon arrival. I understand that the call center rep can’t see the furniture and how much volume it takes up, but the guys said that happens all the time with the wrong pricing. The tier level she put us in was pricing for one item of furniture basically, and we had 4 items. Pretty big difference in the quoted price vs what we actually paid. I do think the service was worth it and I would recommend them, it just would have been nice to know accurate pricing up front. I booked the appt because the first quote was the cheapest and in reality, they cost about the same as other junk removal companies.

I really wanted a company that gets rid of things sustainably so I choose this place. I’m happy with it for the most part but they showed up with a pretty much full truck and I had an entire half garage full of construction materials and old furniture the previous owners had left. I needed to park in my garage but they couldn’t take it all so I had to pay $450 for a half load when it’s $650 for an entire load (meaning I lost money due to them coming with a full truck). I also can’t park in my garage. I needed it gone so I said yes, wish I knew I needed to request an empty truck. Now I need to schedule another load and wait.

Updated I had 1 couch and 4 recliners removed from my home 4 days ago. I am very disappointed with the service I was provided. They did damage a stair railing and also the door moulding. They had no concern for my home. When I pointed out the damage to them they said that a manager would reach out to me to rectify the issue. It has been 3 days and no contact from a manager. This just reinforced my opinion of this company. The last thing that I will say about them is that they are very expensive and I would expect better service for what you pay for this service. After posting this review I was contacted by 1800 Got Junk and was told that the management team had not been informed about the problem. They told me to get it fixed and they would handle any cost. They were very sorry on the lack of communication and promised to make it right which they did.

The movers themselves earn a 5 star. They were friendly and got the job done. The 3 overall reflects 1. We didn't get quoted a price until they arrived here and 2. We selected a window of 1030am to 1230pm. At 10am we were told between 1130 and 1230pm. At 1pm we still hadn't heard from anyone. I called and was told it would be another 30 to 40 minutes. They did ask if we wanted to reschedule; however, by that time we had waited all morning and I was willing to wait another 40 minutes. Lastly, 3. Given that we paid almost 300 dollars for a couch and twin mattress, I was hoping that we would be offered a discount (we ended up saving 15 dollars with an online promo code) for the inconvenience. For the cost I was hoping for greater punctuality. I do understand people run late; but at 10am if they would have said 1pm we would have gotten some errands done rather that wait around all day on a rare Monday off.

We moved over the weekend and ended up throwing out a lot of furniture and miscellaneous junk we weren’t taking with to the new house and the garbage company in our county required a dumpster — which they didn’t tell us when we first informed them of our move. The first time was clearing out parents house after accumulating 60 years of junk, this time for my own house accumulating 20 years of junk. The 2 guys really packed the truck tight, no open space. Called them and told them what I needed picked up. The guy on the phone estimated that it would be the minimum charge of $129. Ended up being $341 dollars. There was even a chest of drawers that I told the man on the phone about that I didn't end up throwing out. I had a few boxes that I didn't mention for the estimate but that should have been offset by the missing chest of drawers. There was a $40 fee for a CRT that the guy on the phone didn't tell me about. Definitely not worth it unless you have a lot of stuff that you need them to carry out of your house. I put everything on the curb for them. I had no choice but to accept the price as I had moved out and couldn't leave it in the street. If I would have been given a realistic estimate I would have taken the items to a dump my self. I got ripped off.

When calling to make an appointment, no pricing is quoted. They state the drivers will give a price upon arrival and inspection of the items that need to be disposed of. I would think for a company like this would have thinks like a mattress and box spring set up as a standard price. Not only that, but we had to haggle to get a better price. After all of that we did use the service basically because they were here, but I feel the price paid for the service performed was higher than I would have expected.

OK, so the communication between the call center and the customer is absolutely awful. In fact, non existant. They say they will email and don't, and when I called 1 hour before the appointment, they had no record of me at all. Then.... I get a phone call 15 minutes before my allotted time and they said they were on their way. They were AMAZING. The cleared out and took away everything in under 30 minutes. I highly recommend and they are great. Use 1 800 GOT JUNK! My staff member guessed it would be $3,800. It was $450. So good!!

I showed them what needed to go, and told them that the electric recliner stull worked but ineeded to give my disabled daughter has a frisky sog who scoots around behind her chair and accidently UNHOOKS the electric cords. Removed dirt, rock and concrete from top of concrete block foundation. Had it store on contractors bag awaiting disposal. Called Got Junk at 1pm. They had a dump truck waiting at my door by 4pm. Two strong, polite young men had all the debris removed along with some pipe railings addional wood and dry wall debris. Same great service I have received from them in the past.

My husband and I had 16 windows removed and replaced last summer. The company who work on our project never came back; and our yard was left with all the old windows, and junk that came with this project. Because of the rain, we didn’t expect everything to be removed, but nothing was left behind. All the broken glasses, even the tiny little pieces were even removed!
