Purchased a motorcycle a few months ago and was able to store it there until I could get a truck to pick it up! Just picked it up today and have to say it was a pleasure doing business with both Woody and his lovely wife. The kind of friendly and personable service only a small professional business can offer. Thank you so much!!

Well I called in the afternoon on Canada day, didn't expect them to be open but I figured it was worth a shot. I was going to leave a message but then someone answered, the guy told me he was at his house. I don't know why he would answer the phone if he didn't want to help out a potential customer. I tried to keep it brief and was just trying to ask if he had a 03 bandit I could come buy parts of off. He interrupted me and told me he didnt have a pen and to call back another day. Why answer if you didnt want to answer any questions idk. I'll keep looking elsewhere for parts I guess.

The only thing more frustrating with having a bike breakdown on a bike trip, is having to deal with Woody. While he's very quick to tell you he "doesn't like working on Harley's" it became clearly evident that working on them is well beyond his skill set and Woody has very little (if any) knowledge or experience working on or repairing them (though he'll likely tell you otherwise. He tends to go off quite a bit.) I own a '96 Sportster (1200cc) with 90,000 km's on it. I've traveled across Canada and Midwestern States on this ol' girl. (I mentioned this to Woody after he said (he's always saying something) how unreliable Harley's are, to which he replied, dumbfounded, "really? ... you're lucky I guess" and tried to sell me on a KTM.) Anyway....) I broke down 30 km's outside Perth ON and was (regrettably) recommended to bring my bike to Woody's. I had the bike towed to Woody's, rented a car in town and continued home. Woody said my battery was toast and he would need to order another one, though this wasn't the problem as the bike still wouldn't start. Fine I said, but told him I have a battery that I'll bring by when I pick it up, so don't order one. He then orders one ("I don't remember you saying that". sigh... he's a better talker than a listener). After complaining how "everything is so tight. All the wiring is so tight. That's why I don't like working on Harley's" (etc etc) Woody deduces there's no voltage (this was diagnosed on the side of the road before towing it to his shop, btw) so he replaces the regulator only to find it hasn't solved the problem, so he tells me he has to order a new stator (he hadn't tested the stator initially because I told him it was replaced 2 years ago. Sort of like not changing a flat because you bought the tire last week). I ask if the old regulator was faulty to which he replied "I don't know. I'll have to wait until I get the stator to test it". So at this point I realize he's simply throwing parts at the bike and tell him to stop. Stop everything. Just. Stop. I'll pay him for his time and the regulator but he's stuck with the battery that I don't need (already having paid for a regulator I may not need). He moaned about having to take the battery out and asked me, and I quote, "have you ever changed the battery on this thing? They put them in backwards. It's a lot of work!". I tell him of course I have (see above mileage) and (being generous) that it's a 5-minute job. It's a battery! To which he replies, and i quote "yeah, well it's a hard 5-minutes". Seriously, you can't make this stuff up. Changing a battery on a 96 Sportster is apparently, a big job for Woody. So, I ended up paying for a regulator and 3.25 hrs of labour only to have it towed 300 km's home (with original battery in a plastic bag) to have it repaired. Properly. (it was the stater, btw.) And the kicker to all this? The battery is fine. (insert long slow golf clap here) Maybe Woody can handle a dirt bike or a lawn mower repair, I'm not sure, but clearly motorcycles (other than KTM's and an 81 GL 1100. Apparently) are beyond his skill set. So if you happen to break down on the side of the road nearby Perth ON, have the tow guy continue on to the next town. You'll save yourselves some money, and a lot of hot air.

Without Woody's Cycles providing the support, advice, friendly shop and great riding area, I am sure that dirt biking would not be such a big part of my life. You guys have both done a tremendous amount of work to build the sport, and I am proud to be your customer and friend :-)

Always a pleasure to visit Woody, especially when it's time for a new KTM. Lots of respect for him and all his hard work in building trail systems over the years for all to enjoy!

Woody is absolutely the best, bar none. My toy budget is limited but I always know that I'm not going to get oversold or dinged for service or parts that I don't need -- and that I'm always treated like a friend. Woody has service all three of my bikes and my daughters scooter and I've never had reason to complain about workmanship or the bill. A class act all the way.

Woody's Cycles did a great job rebuilding both ends of my suspension. Bike is now much more comfortable to ride. I also ordered a bunch of parts, half available for pickup and half for order. Quick reliable service and great people to deal with. Willing to mail as well.

Chris Birch

What a bike shop used to be.

Moe Symons

Always helpful. Not the most modern looking operation but it's nice to deal with down to earth people that are passionate about what they do. They have always gone the extra mile.

Dale Walt

Chris Carter

Ive bought multiple KTMs from Woody over the years. He's the only shop Id trust to work on my bikes. Best service and a wonderful guy....Family operation. Thanks for all the years of service Woody...

Maxx Million

Woody and his team operate the only cycle salvage in the Ottawa Valley. Also a KTM strong enduro trail and a museum of classic motorcycles.

Scott Hughes

Best KTM dealer in Eastern Ontario

Jason Mercier

Ok, let me tell you. If you have an older bike and are struggling with finding parts, get out to this place. The guy knows his stuff. I've heard he's expensive and he doesn't like to haggle about prices. But be honest, if he's got the post you need and you can't get it from a dealer, you're gonna pay it.

Woodys Cycle was extremely helpful in directing me how to get an ownership for my old KTM!

Phill T

So rude. This place is over an hour away so I called ahead to ask about some parts. Was rushed off the phone and was told the guy on the other line was more important than my request - by the owner himself. Guess you don't need my money!

bobbylafontaine

They did everything I asked. Answered emails within the hour. Very detailed work order with description of work performed. Will definitely go back to have my 2015 Husky FE501S serviced again. Thanks again to Woody's Cycle.

As a motorcyclist for over fifty years I've dealt with a lot of motorcycle shops. I’ve been dealing with Woody's near Perth, Ontario for five years. This shop is a lovely echo from the past when cycle shops were small and the owners were passionate about the sport. He doesn’t sell lawnmowers, snowblowers, boats, motors or ATVs; just high quality motorcycles. Woody and his staff have done work and supplied parts for both my bikes, a 34 year old Suzuki and a 650 dual sport. I always feel as though my business is both appreciated and important.

luke smith

Fantastic staff. Helpful and very friendly. Great product knowledge.

Christopher Cerrone

Had a great experience at woody's! The guys did an excellent job tuning my bike not to mentioned taking the time in explaining to me all the adjustments they were doing! Was truly worth the drive from Montreal! Will be back again!

Called and asked if he had a 28mm carb he said yes bring it in he would find me one when I got there was treated very poorly like I was an annoyance he said leave the carb and he would find one and he would call me back. Kinda inconvenient as it was a far drive but I said ok no problem. Then asked for a intake boot for the carb also. He said yes I’ll find you one but I charge a hourly rate to get parts!!!!! These people are rude and do not care about their customers all I wanted was to buy some parts not pay hourly shop charges on top..........worst customer service ever!!!!

Stephanie Kelly

Very helpful and kind

James Mcivor

This place is a joke they have parts listed on their site for sale and when you wanna buy them there not for sale... Their customers must not be of any importance to them will never go there again...

Rodger Smith

Excellent customer service, very knowledgeable and helpful. The price for parts were quite reasonable and lots of stock of used parts for lots of different needs.

Scooter Lastman

Excellent service and very friendly.

Steve Perkins

I was passing through Perth on my motorcycle, on the way to Quebec, and had tire issues. Although Woody didn’t not have a replacement tire he managed to seal the tire well enough that we made it to our motel. He also located a new replacement tire in the Ottawa area and called them to let them k is we were coming their way. He went above and beyond and was able to salvage our trip.

Emmanuel McKinnon

Great customer service. Huge selection of used parts.

Daniel Dorans

I had to share my experience with others. Dec 14, 2018 As sent: Hi Carolin, I got my package surprisingly, a couple of days ago. Permit me to say, I took notice and appreciated the work that went into one measly sale. The care taken in packaging, promptness that wasn't requested but delivered, care in writing the bill( done with flare and pride) and all the wonderful and cooperative messages and price adjustments to make one measly sale....I wonder what it would be like to buy something of substanial value from you???? No doubt, the same.... Merry Christmas and best wishes, Dan Dorans
