I was extremely unsatisfied with the customer service of HWY 4 Auto salvage. One of the most unprofessional places of business I've ever had the hassle of dealing with. I only had a few simple questions regarding my vehicle that had gone to them and the man was incredibly short tempered and very rude with me.

Great service on the phone and email. Packed my part promptly and ensured it made that day's pickup. Using Ace Courier, I had my part in Vancouver the next day. Part is in great shape and priced fairly.

I've only had business dealing with this location a couple of times. Once for some parts which they didnt have and another to drop off a car. The first time I wasn't too happy with the attitiude, it's like I was bothering them by wanting to do business. The second time was much better. Very helpful and the fact they were going to make a lot of money from what I brought them. One thing to remember, its a smaller yard and so might not have what you need so call first. I will still have them on my call list as I work on a few projects lol.

Traveled from port alberni only to find out you cant pull parts.. need a radiator (anything to get me by.. i can make it work as its for an obsucre vehicle) the staff member i talked to looked at me like an idiot and told me they were still all attached to a vehicle and would need to be run up and drained. Ummm its called a bucket. Also nice hours.. not open weekends..

Good service. Lorne took my call and checked for the requested parts in the yard and let me know their condition and closing hours. Then he was courteous to show me to the car, negotiate a bundle price, and retain his mechanic to pull the requested parts immediately for me.

Very happy with them. After being shoddily treated by Nanoose Bay Towing, they offered us a decent price for the right off car so we could at least get our money from the towing company and some. Very much appreciated!

We will never use this company to transport a vehicle. The driver was driving irresponsibly through a playground zone and speeding up when a neighbourhood asked them to slow down. The owner of the car that was on the flat bed should be concerned because it left the road over the rail tracks. We can’t make you slow down but we can make sure that people don’t use you as a towing company. Please respect our neighbourhood!

Don't try and donate a vehicle to charity with these jokers. Just what you might expect from a low budget operator. After waiting 3 full business days after donating my junker i had to phone them, i got a really sad story about how busy they were ( not my problem if your over booking or understaffed or whatever) I told the operator It couldn't wait longer than 11am the following day. "Too bad" was the response I got..."Insert derogatory statement here", I feel I should have at least received a phone call if they needed me to wait for them to haul it away. I'd walk to where ever before i called these clowns. not at all what it takes to get and keep my business.

Bought a ford focus engine from them a few months ago. They accidentally sent the wrong engine, but quickly remedied the situation and sent the right one. Aside from that hiccup, they were pleasant to deal with.

This is a great place for getting parts for your vehicle and also for getting great deals on used batteries that have a lot of life left in them. The father and son team are very friendly and knowledgeable. During this pandemic they have remained open but with limited access to the public which is a great thing to do. Bought a 2008 ford engine off them and they were cheaper, less km's, washed, and securely strapped down to a pallet for me. Lorne the guy I was dealing with is professional and punctual...I would send my send my grandmother here...yes i do like her.

Asked the lady at the front counter if I could have a discount if I purchased multiple parts and she suggested that I talk with the owner who was standing a short distance away from her. Without me saying another word he told me to get out of his store! What a jerk. I will NEVER return there again. If the owner is so angry that he reacts that way to anyone making a simply request then it is time for him to sell the business or retire.

Roel the owner is an absolute caveman when it comes to customer service and is lacking basic human skills. A one star rating is even too much for this company. By the looks of it they do not know how to build a shipping crate that does not fail during the Transport. The item was received with some shipping damage. When I called Highway 4 salvage, the owners response was, you can return the Item if you don't like it !!!!

When an engine can land in the Fraser Valley 24 hrs after ordering, you know these guys are on top of it. Had it bolted up and ready for fluids by the end of the day. Trust goes a long way when buying recycled. Hats off to Lorne and his crew, Excellent service as always.

He is rude and doesn't follow through with what he says from one day to the next. When I called he said he can't get his trucks into the tight spot my car is in. I told Him we will pull it out. He said sure and will give me $200 for it. Today I call and right off the bat he told me he won't be coming there and that he's not interested. If you can't follow through then don't be in business.

I would never deal with this company again I bought a 1999 7.3 powerstrokewith apparently low km Ya RIGHT from them it took me a bit to get it installed at shop got 1200 k out of it and it was junk owner was rude and told us not his problem spoke to people in the area it appears this is a regular occurrence with this bussiness I do not recommend this company and will be sure to tell everyone I can about their practices
