Went for an interview it took almost 3 hours. Darcy one of the driver said they give me a call and give me the money back that they would pay me for that interview. I phone back every day and find out they hired somebody else and wasted three hours of my time doing their job.

-1 star - Tiny awkward yard. -3 - the younger blond surley staff member who incorrectly stated Hartland does not take garden waste and became grumpy with my questions on how to use the facility ( 1st timer). 1 star for the positive older blond who was straight up awesome with no bs!

Family business owner is David Liang. Initials D. L. I have been dumping my waste & recycled materials including garden waste for many years. You 1st. get your truck weighed than dump your stuff in the designated area than return to the weigh scale. Enter the shed to pay your load & drive off. The cashier subtracts the difference between 1st. & 2nd. weigh. 5 years ago the minimum price they charge was $6.00, today it's up to $9.

Close, convenient, and quick.... Sometimes. Other times, there's a line-up way down the road. But still it's quicker than driving out to hartland. I regularly drop off grass clippings, branches, and home reno construction garbage. Prices seem fair. The yard is kinda chaotic. Watch out for heavy equipment at work while you try to maneuver to the correct dumping spot. Glad it was recommend to me to bring our refuse here.

This spot is handy and easier to access than the Hartland dump. They can get just as busy and unfortunately the yard can be a little confusing and cramped.

The 2 week " training period" is really a trial. They fired me because apparently "It just wasnt for me". Thank god they fired me...found a way better job 2 days later.

We hired DL's for a bin so we could clean out the garbage our tenant left behind - what a nightmare. The manager, Spencer, was very helpful with the logistics as we were coming in from out of town and were not sure of ferry operations due to COVID. Not only that, they were easy to get ahold of, had fair pricing, and were able to quickly accommodate our needs. I highly recommend renting a bin from DL's. Thanks guys!

DL is the only place to take your stuff if you care about the price you pay. By weight it's the cheapest place in the Greater Victoria area. And it's only a quick drive up the Pat Bay. No matter how busy it gets the staff are always friendly and quick to process payment. By comparison, Hartland charges by weight but also slaps on a ''bin convenience fee,'' even though you have no choice whether or not to use the bins. And it's a flat fee so as a percentage of your weight costs it's ridiculous when you only have a small load. Also, an un-tarped load at Hartland will cost you double Ellis charges double for what Hartland charges, by weight. Strictly for people with more dollars than sense.
