Here they cut the wood you need to the size you need and you pau for what you take. Dont need to buy whole pieces if you onlu nees a small shelf with a specific size Only place they do it.

The staff is friendly & helpful, often with tips & insights that will make the task 50% easier. Their end-of-season sales are excellent ways to get goods at bargain prices.

Rude staff at the customer help desk. I was shocked how the rude the older staff member was to an elderly gentleman trying to ask for his advice truly saddened me to see that. Once I tried to pay for my product I was then instructed they are not giving change back for cash payments ? I’m pretty sure that is an illegal business practice not to mention it is a federal mandate that you are required to accept legal tender as payment Covid regulated or not. It’s frustrating when businesses are using Covid as an excuse not to take cash due to the fact they just can’t be bothered to count it. Lost a customer here

This is my "go to store" a good store for virtually everything from lumber to paint, to lightbulbs to garden fertilizer. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and professional - and available! You can get an account here and get a little discount on what you buy. Today I went there to return some lightbulbs as I had bought the wrong ones. I had lost the receipt but that was not a problem as it was recorded on my account. They exchanged them immediately. Definitely recommend this store.

I love Castle. Lots to see, specially chosen items, helpful staff, garden stuff is great, and everything else you need for the day to day. I could browse for far too long. Out back they have a helpful selection of lumber and other various warehouse goods.

The staff are sometimes quite helpful but often it seems like you're just getting in their way, or you're being insufferably amateurish for having the audacity to ask for advice. Their stock is limited, ok if you're just after some lumber or common items, but don't expect a great range of items. I tend to go because it's local and if my needs are not challenging. Even them I'm sometimes disappointed. Definitely not as good a store since being taken over by Castle from Rona.

Castle has a little bit of everything. It has all you need as a contractor as well as what a homeowner needs. Prices are a little higher than a commercial supplier but location and hours make it conviniant. All in all I recommend this place to anyone looking for materials for a big or small job.
