We hired another junk removal company for a huge job. They showed up high, moved at a snail's pace, charged for time on-top of the bin charge, they charged me the time to drive to the dump, unload and they didn't have a dump truck so it was time consuming. They got a quarter of the work done in half the quoted budget. We let them go and called 1800-got-junk the next day. Within an hour, 2 trucks and 4 professional labourers arrived in bright spirits. They got straight to work. For less money and in one quarter of the time it took the other crew had the mess loaded. I didn't pay for additional time because 2 hours was included in the bin cost, and once they left time stopped. I wasn't paying them to drive to the dump and unload. The guys helped me move a few things and lifted the bins up into the truck so I didn't have too. They thought out how to best fill and pack the truck to get as much in as possible. The gents at 1-800-got junk got 3/4 of the job done in less than half the budget!!!! We still had money left over. I will only call 1800-got-junk

I received a flyer in the mail from 1800GotJunk offering a coupon discount. The coupon was to be presented at the time of payment. I went on line, booked an appointment and provided a list of material for disposal. I received a follow up phone call, confirming the appointment. On the morning of; two young men arrived at my home, right on time. They assessed my request, used predetermined price charts to relate the quantities and then on the spot, provided a quote, I agreed and they spent the rest of the day in 30 degree plus heat hauling left over sod, tree limbs and construction remnants. They filled the truck once, had to make a trip to the dump and come back for the rest. Brandon and Jordan did an outstanding job. Not just loading all the material in their truck, they continually worked to clean the area where they were removing the material. I presented the coupon at the end of the job, when we were settling up and got the discount as presented. Excellent value, great service, I will contract their services again.

Called GOT-JUNK as I had a double mattress and box spring I needed removed. Called for a quote and was told anywhere from $100 to $130 depending on how much room was taken up in the truck and that the price range was NOT firm. I was impressed by the fact that I could book a pick-up/quote with no obligation so I booked for Monday, 3 days away. The 2 guys that came were super nice and professional but the cost was going to be $220 + tax. I said no that was to expensive. They called their supervisor and were able to get the cost down to $141 + tax which is the base price. I would have given 4 stars if the phone quote had been more accurate.

Pros: Huge pile, took care of everything! Worked until the job was done. Cons: missed scheduled time by an hour. Filled trucks as they arrived, instead of starting with an empty truck. Job was finished as promised, and matched per-load estimate given. Wish the smart workers had taken charge of the job vs 6 bodies milling around, but can't complain about the results.

WOW! I had an ancient chest freezer in my basement that weighed a tonne. Very good experience with the service. I had an old upright grand piano in the family room on main floor to be removed and disposed. We initially planned to take apart the piano and haul the smaller pieces to the dump station. The top, front, and sides came off nicely, but the back piece which has cast iron sound board attached to it was still very heavy. It requires special tools to remove the iron so we decided to have the whole back piece disposed by the pros. The crew members removed the back piece from the family room as well as the other pieces of the piano in the side yard. They cleaned up afterwards and left no mess. I appreciate the professionalism. I want to thank the crew members, Brenden and Justin for their works. Special thanks to the super/manager, Mark, who helped with the moving, and who appeared to be a very good leader of the team, and overall a nice and professional person. I’m very glad that the heavy bulky piano is not something I need to worry about anymore.

Wow I’m blown away. I talked with the call centre and I expected them Monday night, no show. They called this morning, Tuesday and I told them I wasn’t happy that they never showed. It may have been a miss communication. Okay so Sam and Mike came at appointment time and I found them very professional and nice. They even took a few minutes to meet my dog snoopy and she really took to them. They took out the stuff as per requested, no marks on the walls or scuffs in the floors. Everything went exactly as organized and the service was great. The only let down was that the charge was higher than quoted. It was a straight forward pick up of a single bed mattress and box spring. The booking was made through the 1-800 number and the location for pick up and its related postal code was provided so an accurate quote could be provided. The charge turned out to be $30.00 plus GST more than originally quoted.

be aware!!! this company will charge you a surcharge of $20 for box spring and mattresses and claim its because the landfill charges them.. THERE IS NO SUCH CHARGE AT EDMONTON DUMPS!!.. also they will tell you your stuff will be recycled or donated but this again is a lie.. everything goes to the dump or the owner will upload it to eBay and sell it

The two gentlemen let me know how the company works their pricing which saved me a few bucks and allowed some extra junk to be thrown in. There was some damage to my stairs and wall unfortunately. They gave me 20% off for the two places they "dinged" the wall but didn't mention the much more significant damage to the hardwood on my stairs. It was good of them to let me know about the walls and provide a discount; but I'll be taking before photos if working with movers again in the future.

If I could give 1-800-GOT-JUNK no stars I would do so. We received an advertisement that they pickup 7 days a week and worked until 9PM. We booked them on a Monday to pick up the next Saturday from 3PM to 5PM and called twice to confirm the appointment including the Saturday morning. When they did not show up by 4PM on Saturday we called again to be told that our appointment had re-booked for the next Monday from 3PM to 5PM. We did not re-book and were never contacted about the re-booking. We were told that at 4PM they had all gone home and that they did not work on Sundays. Sunday morning we called Just Junk and they came later that day and were great to work with. Needless to say we will never use 1-800-GOT-JUNK again.

Mike C and Mike H were friendly, fast and easy to talk to. They did an absolutely fantastic job and the price was great too! Only reason I can't give 5 stars is because the trucks need some work and the nets were broken. From a business standpoint it doesn't look good, the one truck almost didn't start, the net was so ripped up it didn't even help. Otherwise I would definitely recommend and will use them again! I don't know if you can request a team but I would definitely request the Mike's! Thanks guys!
