Mike's Is the only place with-in 100 miles that has Land Rover and other major car brands that others do not get the chance to carry. they have everything I need when I really need it without having to get strapped for $1000+ on parts that can be reused with gaskets and seals replaced. Prices are great, service is great. Go here! better than You-Pull and LKQ for me thus far. and I have been using Mike's for years. I will definitely continue to go there, To Mike's Auto Parts.

Good price, but the "I have two in the trailer" in reality, means that "I have two sitting out in the elements for god knows how long". The transaxle I picked up appeared rusty and dry, like it had been sitting outside, which I didn't realize until my mechanic pointed it out to me, and the output shafts were not sealed to the elements, so years of snow and rain were likely sitting on the gears and bearings. Had I known this, I wouldn't have bought it. Long story short, it cost $350 to put this bunk gearbox in, which was defective immediately, and now I have to do it again. To their credit they offered a refund or exchange (not making that mistake again). In short, if you can find something at the U-Pick-It part, great. But don't trust their removed parts which have been sitting in the elements.

What they lack in customer service (or service of any kind but that's kinda the point) they more than make up for in price & convenience. 20mins in their yard & 45buks later and a $300 crisis (and a $200 non critical issue) were solved. Cant and dont ask for much more than that.

Highly unprofessional - called before heading down 30mins to site and they confirmed they had the part. Arrived only to be told that this part wasn't on the lot. This yard is ok. I didn't find what I was looking for. I only wished that they could iust improv their website to show what that actually have in the yard car wise.. I had called to see if they had a specific car and they really couldn't answer the question. I was told to just come in and look. Great place for car parts if you know your cars. Deal with Jordan, he knows his stuff. Call ahead to check for car you are after, and operating hours as they do vary. Prices are very honest and staff will return items if they do not fit. Just be understanding and don't treat this place like a wal-mart.

Great place to find good used parts if you know what you're looking for. Make sure to bring your own tools as they don't pull parts, they do have great little wagons you can use. I'd recommend talking to Jordan, he knows his parts and is a straight shooter.

Awful experience with the guy at the desk. This guy always had an attitude and gives price as per your colour or his comfort. I have been a regular at this place for long time ,but everytime I have seen him with a different attitude towards the customers. He does a favour by selling you stuff and if you ask him about the price then he gets very defensive and tells you to leave the stuff there and go to another yard which isn't a customer service to offer. He doesn't even take a second to insult his own colleague at work. I have left so disappointed as his prices are always as per his comfort or your colour. Never going back to this yard ever. I would recommend everyone to go to pic n save as they treat everyone the same and their prices are as per their inventory and it's same for all. Doesn't matter your colour or race.

They have a large selection but they do not keep an inventory so it makes the trips out here hard to justify sometimes when you can soend the time looking and find none of the cars you are in need of. They also dont carry cars older than '97 now as i was told by the gentlemen at the front desk. Fairly good service skills however.

Awful experience today, first we had to wait close to 30 minutes for someone to attend to the front desk, second we were told our part was 75 dollars to only have the price go up. Customer service here needs a revamping lots of attitude from staff and also the person attending the front desk appeared to be vaping inside even though its prohibited by law. On a positive note the driver with the tractor and forks was very helpful and lifted a car for us.

I get parts here all the time, you can save a ton of money. You can either pick them yourself or have their staff find and remove it for you (for a small fee). You can also scrap your car with them.

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews! I had two completely dead and seized vehicles, and live in Oakville. Due to the nature of my work, I could only be available on weekends, and even though they said they couldn't get a truck out to me on a weekend (they're in hamilton), they called me back and had a truck that could come. Any time I spoke with someone they were more than reasonable, at no time did I experience any negativity or condescending attitude from any employee I dealt with like some other reviews mention. They called the day before and confirmed the details. Was told they would be here around 9-10am and they showed up around 10:15, which with weekend traffic is more than reasonable. Pair that showed up was professional and worked fast.

Sold me a car for a great price. Month later the battery dies and find out that when you press the gas my light flicker and there is a chip in my windshield that has already been fixed and cracked! Had to take it back to Mazda and spend $400 to fix the light problem and another $300 for the dead battery that it should not have never been safetied with! Never go here !

The best scrap yard I have been to out of all four. Very good customer service, they're friendly and laid back. Prices are super cheap and they even throw in free parts too! The yard is huge, stock is usually quite new and intact (parts-wise) and the 4-wheel trolleys are a lot better than most yard's wheelbarrows. Give it a try!

When i pulled the part and brought it up to the desk they quoted me another price that was even higher than the original , i said i was quoted a price much lower on the phone . then he went up $10 all serious then pretended like it was a joke afterwards . Two words - CHOP SHOP. If I could give minus stars I would. My vehicle was brought here after an accident temporarily and was supposed to be towed back to my home (arrangements made by the insurance company). SUPPOSEDLY, my car was dismantled "accidentally" and recycled with in 48 hours. I still to this day have the ownership of the vehicle and these people had zero rights to lay a finger on my car. I don't actually know what happened to it, only what I was told, I never saw my car again because it was recycled so quickly, so they say. They offered an amount of money to me that they decided was good enough, but wasn't for me. Our family has a second same car and this vehicle was going to be used as a parts car and was worth more to us than what was offered by Mike's Auto Wreckers. Not to mention it's not really at their discretion to decide what my car was worth, they should be paying for either their bad business behaviour or "mistake" as they call it, whatever the case may be. I got a call two months later from Impact auto auctions wanting my ownership in exchange for money which added a whole new level of fishiness to the situation. I was advised by police I shouldn't sign my ownership over to anyone and to file a civil suit.

I found this place to be my favorite scrap yard to visit for over 15 years!!! Sometimes I am always suprised with the amazing deals I get. These people that work here have unique personalities and most of the complaints are silly about the staff. They give excellent prices and don't like customers being rude by insisting to pay less then what they were quoted. Sure its not a 5 star restaurant people.... its a scrap yard. By purchasing from them you are also doing an important part for the environment as reusing is the highest form of recycling.

Went there on a Saturday for the first time. Called 2 hours before closing at 2pm and got the big boss - was very friendly and informative. Said I wasn't sure if I'd make it on time BC I was coming from across the GTA. He said he'd wait a bit and not to worry. Got there at 12:30 but ended up staying past 2. No problem- they were very accommodating. Got a bunch of parts for only $100- same parts would have been close to $200 at the other wreckers in Hamilton. Very obnoxious, "know it all" parts guy, I have returned a pair of control arms with cracked bushing (you wont see the cracks unless you pry on them), and told me that they are used and all are cracked, like what did I expect, and if I should go buy from the dealer next time. Disgusting Human beings! I would urge you not to do business with such awful people. While merging onto the highway today (12-DEC-2018) approx 9:00 am as i was merging onto the highway from the on-ramp, i turned on my signal and as i started merging into the highway lane (with a normal sized gap for a car) the truck decided he didn't want me to get in-front of him and hit the gas to close space off. Thanks! i cant stay in this lane as it is about to disappear, and you have now made my gap unsafe. but i'm already half in and so i decide to complete the lane change. The front desk staff is also extremely helpful and will help you pinpoint the part you need, helping you with information such as the cross compatibility among parts of the same manufacturer that will work with your car, and the general location of the vehicle, to save you time.

I have been looking for a part for my car for awhile. We went to mikes auto shop. They were courteous, friendly and showed us where to go to find our part. You have to get it yourselves but the cars are arranged in rolls and within 30 minutes I had my part, the price was great. I would recommend Mikes Auto Shop to all my friends and family. I've dealt with this place a few times recently thanks to a deer, first i went in for a hood / fender and headlight. 1 hour later I'm out the door with my parts and no real pain in my pocket. Got all that fixed then needed a power steering pump, went back to mikes the guys at the counter were happy to help even lent me some tools and got a guy to give me a ride through the mud. Again quick and painless, great place, great people. Highly recommended.

Awesome place. Parts that other recyclers pull off are just out in the yard intact. Tires and rim shop in back has crazy deals.Great staff (though 1 ornery old codger)????.Long walk to the yard so make sure you bring all the tools you need to pull your parts. I sold several cars to them for scrap and they always paid more than other recyclers. I live in oakville and much better than Toronto scrap yards.

If I could have given minus five stars I would. I have known and associated with employees there 16 years and always recommended Mikes Auto when Barry Humphrey operated the business, He was always fair and great with his staff ... The counter staffunder his son is now rude and really discourteous. His son Jay doesn't follow Ministry regulations and when his employees get hurt on the job he literally sends them a text while they are in the emergency room to quote " take an advil and get back to work" can screenshot the text if needed. Please don't go there!

Editing my previous review since the experience has dramatically changed. Used to be long time neighbor, having good relationships with management and owners, working on cars since I was 14, always got good prices and selection. Recently the asian kid at the front is giving everyone I know (and myself) a hard time. Prices are pulled out of their "back" being 2-3x the prices other local scrapyards have (fact checked) on 20+ year old rusty parts, cuz it's an "import". I forecast a fast decline in revenue and many lost loyal customers. I understand the nature of the business and I've done the same job before myself, but that's not an excuse to be used. Management need to step up (if they're still around)

Don't buy used tires here, if you do be extremely careful. I purchased a set of 4 used tires in December 2018. Since that time all 4 tires developed slow rim leaks, I had to get 2 of them resealed at extra cost, along with the time, hassle & inconvenience of getting the work done. And 2 of them developed sidewall bulges, which meant they had to be replaced outright. And again at extra cost, time & inconvenience. One bulge developed near the end of the 30 day warranty period, it was so big the tire bead nearly separated from the rim! This same tire was flattened on one part of it before installation, from obviously a heavy weight sitting on it. Probably the same spot where the huge bulge developed. The staff member said "don't worry about that, when it's inflated the flat spot will go away". I barely managed to get the car back there and the staff was confrontational- accused me of running into curbs or somebody hit the tire with something or kicked the sidewall hard. I wonder if all these problems were caused by rough handling or bad installation? This was the dirtiest shop I've ever been in, thick layer of dust & dirt covering everything. And fuel vapor odor everywhere, I was nervous being in this place. Wouldn't be surprised if this place has a fire or blows up one day

Very big yard prepare to walk As you might not know you remove all parts with your own tools. If you do get a part that's any size at all don't expect help to bring it back to the checkout. They do have wagons that you can use to pull it back to the checkout. Bring a friend to help.

Rude. Walk in to employees saying there going to strangle each other . I picked a fender for my s10 wasn't close to perfect needs repair . $45.20 be forewarned when I asked if I could get a bit off it's pretty far off from being nice . The guy tells me I can leave the fender here and leave . Wow 0/10 for customer service
