The counter staff are less than helpful. I was looking for a gas cap, but because it wasn't a huge sale, the guy basically just told me he doesn't have any of my car on the lot, and left it at that. Little did he know, I had just come from next the u-pick yard next door, and he looked up their inventory, and said they did have one. Sorry my $5 sale wasn't worth you getting out of your chair.

Needed a part fairly quickly and Kevin had the part pulled for us in less than 20 mins. Called previously (2 weeks ago), to have a vehicle (that still runs), and was told $175 if I drive it in and $150 if they tow it in. Just called today and was told they would come get it, but they would'nt give me ANYTHING for it...?!! * Inconsistency with your customers is not a valuable trait. Called another Wreckers and they're on their way to pick it up; and guess what - they are paying for it! I'll never deal with Dom's again. Thanks for nothing.

He pulled the wrong part and charged me for restocking. Not a pleasnt experience at all. They dont care to provide good customer service. My husband and I went to Dom's Auto Parts, to get a tail gate, and window. They are very business, but helpful checked my husbands tool box, when we arrived, when we found the part we came for, we decided to let Dom's Auto Parts remove the tailgate, we had been given a trolley to carry what we found, we brought back a windshield for the tailgate, funny the tailgate has a perfect windshield. This cost $175.00, removed by them, delivered by them. Will call insurance company to cancel claim. Win win.

First time, great service friendly staff. Explained everything clearly. One piece of advice is call about the parts before pickup. They will have the part ready for you. U pull section be prepared for a long walk.

Requested an engine via phone call for a 2003 Elantra, which they had onsite. Engine price was 500 dollars. Was informed that they do not take credit card over the phone. Requested delivery to my home address. They indicated that it was not their policy, since they need someone there. Informed them that person would be on site for day of delivery. I thought this resolved any issue. Next day went to Dom's to purchase engine. I requested to view engine first, was directed to engine location which was in the back of the lot, Had to walk to view engine, and it was the exact match to what I needed. Went back to purchase and pay for engine. At which point they refused to sell/ deliver this engine because it was not going to a business or shop. They would not deliver to a home address. (?!?really?!?) I felt discriminated against because I was a citizen with payment, but they wouldn't sell me the engine. Now if I was a business now that would be different. The two employees present the excuse that their insurance wouldn't cover the liability. What ever happened to purchaser taking ownership for their own choices. ?? When did Ontario become a "freedom from" society. ?? They probably looked at me and judged me to be incompetent to perform an engine swap. When I have already removed the old engine SAFE AND EVENT FREE. My profession is a mechanical engineer. Who has grown up in a family of mechanics. As the purchaser - I should be able make the judgment if I am competent or able to perform this work. This whole process wasted approx. 3 hours in total. (trip there and back), gas and resulted in a lot of emotion -- mainly Anger. -- When was it required to have a license, or be apart of a company to buy engines, transmissions, or anything that weighs more than 20 lbs -- I am completely flabbergasted at the whole experience and would tell any "Do It Yourself" (DIY) person to avoid this place like the plaque. My Name is Edris and I am an apprentice mechanic. Having studied Power Motive Administration at Centennial College, worked at 3 Mechanic shops and certain auto parts stores gives me an in-depth view on car parts and its prices. I applied for Retire Your Ride Program and followed their online form to the dot to get my Older, Higher Polluting Vehicle Off the Road and to recycle it responsively. I filled The form: Is the vehicle tow-able : Check (Two brand new rear winter tires paid 480$ for last winter still on the vehicle and new spare tire) Is there Parts missing from the vehicle: Check (some Interior parts and tail lights missing. All Mechanical parts still in the vehicle) Have ownership and License Present: Check The Retire your ride program sent me an E-mail stating that I have a bid of approx. 300$. I accepted The day that the driver showed up I got a call stating there is parts missing on the vehicle and to lower the price by 50% (A TACTIC I AM WELL FAMILIAR). I CHECK MARKED THAT THERE IS PARTS MISSING!!! WHOSE NEGLEGENCE IS IT FOR NOT READING A CONTRACT BEFORE THEY SIGN IT? Following parts still in Vehicle: Alternator Starter Waterpump Tensioner New Fuel injectors A/C Compressor Radiator Heater core All Sensors: Oxygen, MAF, MAP, TPS etc Brake Booster Master Cylinder Transmission/ Parts Engine/ Parts Muffler Catalytic Converter Resonators Seats AirBags (Driver, Passenger, And 2 Side) ECU Door Vacuum Pump Window Motors Windshields 2 New Rear Shock Absorbers and Springs Plus more 150$ is good enough just for the metal at standard auto wreckers. I would think Dominic a man with 30 years’ experience in the automotive industry and the owner of a reputable company would understand the expensive nature of OME German parts and the need for Customer Service. Bad service only bring in bad business is the motto for my company. I am leaving a bad review on multiple review sites because I feel like I’ve been wronged and I contacted a scrap company on kijiji 20 minutes after our phone call and am getting 250$ for the vehicle let’s see if they use the same tactic to reduce the price.

Best auto wreckers near the GTA. Took me a bit over half hour on the 401 to get there, but the drive was worth every minute. They've got the largest selection of vehicles. They have a "you-pick" yard which is hard to come by now of days, making this place a rare gem. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Have cash with you, admission to the yard is $2.

After getting my car towed here $2000 dollars of tools were stolen from my trunk....I cant be certain anyone associated with Dom's took anything. I do know for sure the gentleman I spoke with on the phone was very defensive and upset. He swore at me and hung up after inquired if he could maybe ask if it was misplaced by his staff... I would recommend your vehicle be stored anywhere but here, and although I didn't experience any other services at Dom's the gentleman I spoke with made it easy to recommend service anywhere else.

Asked for a trunk release latch for my 08 Camry. They said I will have to dismantle from one of 4 cars in their yard and then pay $80. There was no way I would know the one I would dismantle would work or not. In any case, went on to Amazon Canada and bought the part for $56 (taxes and shipping included) shipped to door. And it worked like a charm. Go figure!

Contacted them through their website text option. Inquired about a key Fob for my car. Advised to come in, check a bin they had of fobs for one that I needed. I asked for price and was told 20 bucks. I drive over, go in, and manage to find one. Go to pay and the guy at the counter tells me they are 30 bucks. I said that I was told by their texter that it was only 20 bucks . He says a certain type are 20, mine are 30. That's not what their text service said when I specifically asked for one for my specific vehicle. So I pay the 30 bucks, and ask for receipt. He then says 3 bucks more. I decline to pay even more. I guess he cheated both me, and the government's tax agency. Hell, since I paid in cash, he may pocketed it and cheated his boss as well .

Every other experience has been professional, courteous, fast, and great pricing! I drive the hour because this is the most professional yard I’ve found. I wasn’t given discounts or anything else to change my review. They legitimately deserve good feedback! Side note: if you read reviews you likely leave them. Don’t write reviews when your frustrated. Reviews have a serious impact on businesses. They should truly reflect the overall service and experience. Everyone makes mistakes. It’s how it’s handled that matters.

Whenever I call the front desk is so rude. "Just come check it out for yourself" I live 20 minutes away I'm not driving out there for something you don't have in stock just to order something I can get at another scrap yard for less. So I asked "don't you have an inventory list?" The guy reluctantly searches my info and says they do have what I'm looking for. He tells me the price I say thank you and he hangs up without a goodbye or a your welcome or even trying to get the sale. I shouldn't have to tell you to do your job, I'm the customer you should already be doing what you can for my satisfaction and in reality my business. I'll go somewhere else, maybe online. You wonder why human faced businesses are closing? People like that making the online shopping more preferable.

They have a good selection of newer and older cars to pick through and their yard is massive. You'll likely find what you need here. Their staff is not the most cordial but their service is okay. Dom's is normally my last choice as I've found them far more expensive than other yards in the GTA. If you have a less common vehicle this is the place to find that key part. If you have a common vehicle like a Civic, try other places to save your money.

I called dom's looking for a light for the front of my car. I called and buddy from there told me he will call me back if they have anything. Hour goes by I call back to check in. Buddy on the phone gave off a list of things, about how the guys are busy and they are in meetings. Would not let me speak because he kept speaking over me. So maybe they should have a meeting about how to speak to people who pay there bills. Thanks for nothing Dom's auto parts... Did not no you get free attitude with every phone call.
