This Friday, my booking required a 1.5 hour drive to the service location, and had to be completed before 8pm due to elevator booking restrictions; this was *clearly* articulated with the dispatcher who assured me that their team would arrive between 5:30-7:30pm, which allowed sufficient time for the move (15-20 minute task, I was completely flexible to book another date, if it wasn't possible to accommodate). At 5pm, when I was an hour enroute, I received a call that they would arrive during the "latter half of my window of 6-8pm". I explained the time window provided by the dispatcher was a half hour earlier, my requirements, and how the dispatcher said it was fine whilst booking. They said there was nothing they could do as they were slowed down by traffic and had several jobs ahead of me. I called the dipatcher, who tried to convince me the window was meant for when I would get another phone call to confirm what time they could arrive. I've never heard of such a thing, where a business books a window for when I would receive a phone call to then book the appointment! At 7pm, I received a call from the driver again, now saying they would know within an hour (at 8pm) when they would be able to arrive (not when they would actually arrive, but when they could re-commit to a new time). In lieu of the inconvenience they offered a "10-15% discount" which had no assigned value as the company refuses to quote in advance - so could easily mark up their price the same, if not more, than this "discount". At this stage, I decided to end the frustration and find another company. If you value your time, and want integrity pricing, highly recommend looking elsewhere. I was able to book another local company who arrived within the hour, and provided a very reasonable price thru photos I sent whilst on the call. This company spends a lot on their advertising to make them a household brand, but there are much better local services out there that are more hungry, don't over-book and are well priced. From reading other reviews on here, have no doubt that upon arrival, this company would have taken advantage of my timeline and overprice. Do some research online, and use local. You'll help support a smaller business that cares about the integrity of each and every job, does not overbook, and does not overcharge/take advantage with on-the-spot quoting.

Excellent service, a bit pricey but can’t complain about what they were offering and their ability to get the job done. Don’t mind paying for flawless service… and this team is particular delivered. I’ve used the service 3-4 times and in fairness not all teams were this good. This team really went above and beyond. I had a lot of stuff so they did try to make it reasonable, waving a few fees and being generous with their estimation of space. Overall I’m happy this time and feel I got decent value. EDITED TO ADD PHOTO OF LICENCE PLATE NUMBER. Incident time: 4:15 pm (approx) at 386 Coxwell ave in Toronto. I have never used this company but have unfortunately had to interact with them. There was a Got Junk truck blocking a sidewalk and a no stopping lane on a busy road. They weren't working. They were eating sandwiches and on their phones. I was walking with my stoller, they saw me and they didn't move to free up the sidewalk. I tried to go around and because I had no choice and almost got hit by an oncoming car (I was in the middle of the road!). I quickly backed up so I wouldn't get hit. They were extremely rude when I asked if they could move because it wasn't safe for me to go around. They told me I could call whoever I wanted because they weren't moving. I had no choice but to go around them again, in the street. From calling the non-emerg police line to report the parking violation, I was told GOT JUNK has this reputation and they weren't surprised. Her response was "Let me guess, they basically told you to shove it?". This is unacceptable. When your business has a reputation with the Police Dept, you know you're doing something wrong. I also called 1-800-GOT-JUNK and made a complaint requesting a follow-up. We'll see if they take this seriously and call me back. Whether a paying customer or not, this doesn't look good. These guys were representing GOT-JUNK when they acted this way. Needless to say, I will never give my money to a business with so little regard for safety.

Scheduled window 9-11am. Called at 10am to say they’d be there at 11:30. When they finally arrived at 12 the quote on the spot for a twin mattress and headboard was $236. Nothing like being held over a barrel. It was pay it or leave it. I’ll strap it to my roof rack and find a dump for $20 fee next time.

They removed a very heavy and very large sofa through a small door and an intricate staircase. It was quite a struggle but they persevered for a whole hour and finally managed to get it out the front door. We're absolutely delighted. We would have been very understanding if they had damaged the walls in the process but they managed to avoid that.

TORONTO GOT JUNK....They do NOT DONATE ! ! We had a garage filled with quality items...children's toys, books, bedding, clothes etc...we did not want to throw these items away. I am in construction and could get a bin for $300 if we wanted to throw it away. We hired Got Junk only because they donate items as mention on their site. THEY DO NOT...COVID OR NOT COVID. When they arrived the started tossing it all in the bin...I asked how they sort to donate...I was told ...we don't donate anymore...if we see a donation bin we drop stuff in. I was upset by this...as the total cost to take away was $800!!!!!! They also showed up with items in the bin and tried to charge me extra...it's a scam and totally shameful.

The staff was quite pleasant. They were slightly behind schedule but called twice to keep me updated, that I appreciated. They were pretty quick....with 3 staff, cleaned out the garage of garbage bag and small shelving within about 15 minutes. I had a few bags of items that could be donated, but they said due to covid, they no longer donate....which was disappointing as they were useful items but of course. Covid is making most things disappointing. It would have been nice to know that donations collection were no longer available beforehand, but I didn't see any notifications on the website or when I scheduled the appointment

Two really nice guys came and removed my old disgusting fridge from my place and somehow got it down 20 stairs (since I live above a store)! The only thing I would recommend is that you ALWAYS tell them to put boot or shoe covers on (that they usually have in their truck) or to have them totally remove there boots or shoes so that you don’t have to spend an hour cleaning the floor after as I did!! aside from that, they do a great job! Oh, also make sure you always tape your fridge door shut if that’s what you’re moving out,, in case you accidentally leave anything in there!

I used Got Junk to remove two pieces of furniture from my apartment. They called me about an hour before my scheduled appointment to say they were running early and asked if it would be convenient if they arrived at my place early which I happily agreed to. When they arrived two very pleasant gentleman came in and assessed the job and gave me a price range before they loaded my items into their truck. Once they loaded the items one of them returned to give me the exact price and took my payment. The whole process took about 15-20 minutes. Based on this experience I would absolutely use Got Junk again.

On the evening of my appointment, Patrick and Justin called to see if they could come earlier than my appointment window because they were running ahead of schedule. Pretty happy with the service however there was an extra heavy item charge applied for a couple 5gallon buckets of aquarium gravel. I would suggest negotiating prices as they were willing to come down a little, which makes me think their initial prices are inflated for this reason. Friendly crew but expensive for that they had to take, I had hoped it would be cheaper then weighing myself at the dump. $400.00 plus tax says otherwise. (& that's the reduced negotiated price)

Upon their arrival to my home on may 22 2021, I was told to give them my credit card, which i did, he told me that i was not going to get charge through the credit card because it was only for holding purposes, and as soon as i paid them cash they charge me double. i was told to paid ONLY $1,534.54 cash and they also took 1,534.54 using my credit card so in total i paid them 3,069.05 Im being calling them and they are completely ignoring my complain or concerns. Today i call again and an agent even told me that they didn't over charge me, i send him the bank proof and its now 11:52 am and i haven't hear when i am going to be getting my money return to me

The only thing that I would have liked to have known before they showed up was how much it was going to cost - I could have provided a detailed list of what I needed removed for an estimate so that I could have been better prepared. The pricing is done by amount of space you used in their truck - and for my one bedroom apartment it was over $400 once tax was added on. That does seem quite expensive to me - but I would recommend the service for those (like me) who don't have an easy way to get rid of junk.

Service is okay but the price is not worth it. Originally quoted us $100-$250 max (that's after telling them we had some drywall and empty paint containers). When they got here, they acknowledged they knew about the construction items but then told us that there's another $100 charge for it. Even after, when we pointed out 3 extra bags (that we carried to the truck for them) they started threatening to charge us even more. I had called 1-800-GOT-JUNK to schedule a junk removal service from them, because I sold a house and I need it removed. I have a very limited time frame as to when I can book the service. I booked it for Sunday July 18th between the times of 10am-12noon. When I got to my house in Niagara Falls, I had everything organized outside on the driveway ready for them to take. I waited up until 11:30am with no communication from them as to when they would be arriving. So i decided to call them myself, and when I spoke to the gentleman over the phone, he had told me that there was an issue with my scheduled service, and that they had another job also booked in for 11:00am in Port Colbourne but didn't tell me which spot I had in the cue. That was my first issue with them. They had issues, and they went to do another job, and didn't even bother to call me to let me know. The second issue i have with them is that their Manager was supposed to give me a call to discuss the situation, and I waited about 30 minutes, which was just past my scheduled time frame, only to hear that they were sorry, there were issues, and that if I was able to re-schedule they could offer me a discount. I asked what kind of discount, and they told me that the best they could do was 15% off of the price of the job. That was my second issue with them. I literally did majority of the work, organized everything for them, and then had to put everything back into my garage, and they can only offer me 15% off... I am very disappointed with this company, as a first time customer. Im not sure how they are with other customers. The lack of communication and waste of my time is very unprofessional of them.

I have tried to get them to come to my house on multiple occasions to pick up junk, they come by and give me an absurdly expensive price which i say i will not pay. later i get another call from them saying they can do a better price. i finally get them to come by willing to pay the price they offered and they came by offering a different price then what we finally negotiated on the phone, now they say they cant do that price and just left my house. very unprofessional and will not be using them

The drivers did an excellent job removing items from my home and made sure everything fit. I don't know how they did it, as I mentally prepared myself to pay for a second trip. They were careful removing glass items, was mindful not to damage walls and thought outside the box when lifting a heavy wardrobe into the truck. They used the trolly wheels to slide the item inside the container. That was pretty clever I think. I am probably going to use the service again sometime in the future and if I could select the same two guys, I would 1000%.

Called to have a fireplace insert removed from our basement. Mr. Ramsay Cantlan told me the date and time that the workers would arrive. Received a advance call from the workers on that day and that they were on their way. Two men arrived and both adhered to Covid precautions. Showed them what had to be removed and within 15 minutes the heavy fireplace insert was removed, loaded onto the truck and gone. That is what I call SERVICE. We are clearing out our deceased mother’s house. We had already donated a number of pieces to the Furniture Bank in Toronto and had (as it turned out) two truck loads to dispose of. Part of the disposal was an oversized chest freezer. When I inquired about it I was not told that 1-800-GOT-JUNK? did not dispose of these themselves, but actually subcontract it out to another company. I only found this out from one of the two movers who called into the office to get the team responsible for the moving of the freezer onboard. He was surprised to learn that this job was subcontracted. He took $149 off our bill and said we would need to deal with them directly. When I called Ozone Guardians I left a detailed message and waited for two business was days but did not hear back from them. Today I called 1-800-GOT-JUNK? back. The fellow who answered the phone contacted the Ozone Guardian crowd and came back and simply said that because there was Freon in it (no one ever asked me if this was the case…it could have been depleted years ago) they couldn’t remove it and we would have to do it ourselves. Ironically, we could have got rid of the rest of the junk ourselves, but it was this piece that had us contacting 1-800-GOT-JUNK? in the first place. I was fit to be tied and before I could form a cohesive thought or ask a question, I was basically dismissed from the call. I would rate the two young fellows who came to clear out the house with a 5 star rating, but the office staff and the transparency of the company’s practices a 1 star. BUYER BEWARE!

Ripped off by these guys. Was told I need half a truck and was charged almost $50O for removal. When I check back on my security camera later on, the truck was already almost full when they arrived and at best my junk was 1/4 truck. They totally ripped off. Used another company a week later who removed more junk and charged me half the price. No complaints about the actual removal of the junk, that was done properly, just the fact that they lied and overcharged me.
