It was the day before closing on my house, and I booked 1800 Got Junk for between 130 and 330. They called around 130 and said that they would be there near the end of the time window, which was fine. One employee ended up showing up at 430, and my husband and I had to actually leave to go to an appointment with the real estate lawyer. When we got back the employee was gone, and the door was left wide open. I called him and he had to go boost his partner, whose truck had broken down. The one guy returned around 545 and continued to empty the house of junk. He had to stop for a while tho because he needed more help. Around 730pm the other guys FINALLY showed up. They were there until 9pm. The items in the backyard did not get removed because it got too dark, and they said they would be back the next day. I was quoted for a certain amount for all the junk to be removed. The next day no one showed up. The new home owners freaked out, and I had to call 1800 got junk again, and they made me pay more to have the junk removed. MORE than what had been agreed on the day prior. I called customer care, they said that they would be in touch with the franchisee, Jeremy, but he never got back to me. It was so costly to get rid of stuff, an extra 400 that I did not account for. This company is not punctual, or good for their word. They did provide the service I needed, but the stress of being late and not removing everything made it not matter. I would not recommend this company, unless you aren't leaving your property.

I love this company! I was on a very tight deadline to move my elderly Mother out of her home. She couldn’t take everything and I couldn’t find a home for a lot of her large items. The process was simple, I booked the appointment, they confirmed it and the boys confirmed when they were on their way. They were on time, respectful, they made me laugh and they had all of my Mom’s items on the truck in less than 30 min. This includes a couch that they literally had to take a part. Ripped off!!! I called Got Junk while helping my friend move out of her apartment. The man on the phone asked what she wanted removed and I told him exactly what we were having removed (a bed frame, a dresser, a desk and some garbage bags of cloths). He told me that the men would stop by and give her a free quote but based on my list the price would range between $125-$375. We were in a hurry to move out so we were willing to pay that. However, when they arrived they quoted over $550!!! We were in a pinch and didn’t have any other option so she had to pay it. I feel that the price was gauged once they found out it could be... if we knew it would be that high from the start we would have called another company.

Not only were these two guys quick, professional and courteous they were very personable and extremely customer service oriented. As they were taking away the items we had set aside we kept finding more and more, they just kept saying whatever you want gone just say the word. They didn't blink once as we almost doubled what we had originally said that we had. Clearly I was wrong but I originally thought it was going to take at least one and a half trucks to take everything away but these two played a game of tetris and expertly packed it all into three quarters of a truck!! They were on time, quick and much cheaper than I thought!! This will not be the last time I call them for help.

They don’t fill the trucks very well, leaving gaps and leave major room for other stuff. ALWAYS BREAKDOWN EVERYTHING YOU CAN. They literally just toss it in the truck as is, zero organization. Also, this is directly to GOT JUNK those radio commercials where you guys pat your selves on the back like, “we came through for you” “ you saved our move” “you’re an angel”, just brutal advertising. Everyone in my office makes comments because it’s played over n over again, you may want to try a humble approach. One positive thing I can give is that their availability is excellent and they sure work hard.

They took property from our front yard without our permission. A neighbour called them and they took away the landscaping granite on our front yard. This is theft. Even when we informed them, they won’t replace the granite landscaping materials. Be careful hiring this company.

As always, Got Junk provided excellent service with a polite and helpful crew. The crew is always willing to help with any disposal you may have and wherever it may be. We had a full sized fridge and dryer in out basement that needed to be taken up a narrow flight of stairs. I told the guys that it was ok should they damage the drywall or door, as I know it was a very difficult move. They insisted that they would do everything they could not to damage anything; and you know what? They hefted those items with care and never damaged anything ... I would not have been able to do it myself. Great service and will be calling on them again for other jobs I need done.

Initially, I was very disappointed with 1800 Got-Junk as the two hour window guarantee and promise stretched into more of a six hour window. Clearly, through no fault of their own, the two workers were dealing with many appointments and distances that were not taken into account within the promised window. They eventually did come and provided us with two trucks and a 15 percent discount for the trouble. Beyond that, they were very polite, respectful and worked tirelessly to not only meet our expectations but worked beyond them.
