They try to under count toe bottles with this fast handed way of the hand counting technique. It's so sorry you don't want to wear the same shoes back to your home. It has never been cleaned EVER!

It's an old gas station for people who don't know. No carts like most have. All outside. A few tables have been taken away. Probably because of the Coved thing.

For health and saftey reasons, I'd advise that people stay away from this location. In the summer, wasps and bees are every where as the sorting is done outside. Count on getting wet in the rain as there is limited cover outside. The owners do not use a till to calculate the returns. They write down the count on a pad (in a language I don't understand so I can verify the information) and pay cash with no receipt.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!! Extremely dirty and small. I would give them 0 stars but google won’t let me. Old lady said half my bottles weren’t returnable because they weren’t Canadian....even though I bought them one block down the road. Counted with her hands, without a till and proceeded to undercut me 4$. DO NOT GO HERE.

Do not bring your bottle deposits here! She will short change you and count really fast and throw all the bottles in a bag very quickly so you cannot dispute and recount. She also said some of our aluminum coconut water cans did not have a deposit. Before you knew it, she threw it all into another bag before I could ask to keep it to bring elsewhere. When I went home, I checked my Costco reciept where I bought the cans from, and of course I paid deposit.. Bring your bottle deposits to other depots near by in Burnaby. Do not come here.

You don't get a full refund of your deposits, they didn't use a till or Calculator to count my containers and when I said something the lady didn't care. By this time it was too late to take my returns back to go somewhere else.. I think I was totally ripped off

Don't waste your time with this place, they always short you. This is the third and last time I will be giving them business. Go to the one on Edmonds it's much better.

I never have a problem here, but I make sure I count my own bottles and cans first....I use the big bins they provide and count out 50 in each....Simple math. Each bin is $5...They pay me out after each load of bins. I usually do two at a time. One for cans and one for plastic bottles. They do need more tables, though.

Staffs working there are very patience but place are misuse by a lots of "professional" recycler. and a lots of public do not realize that bottle deposit for over 1 Litre has change to flat 10 cents only for over a years now.

They no longer write down the number. They have a screen where you can clearly see the value per tray. I found the young guys working there efficient. They do need more space (tables) for sorting.

They ripped me off saying beer cans are only 8 cents when theyre actually 10 ..def got ripped off more than that im sure plus they dont even have tables to work on. .theres way better places. Never again.

I have been going to this location for every 4 to 6 weeks for 10 years with no problems until the last few months.turns out it has New owners.i always get between 12 and 14 dollars every 4 to 6 weeks.last month I only received 8 and some change.i never counted myself so I let it go.on Monday this week I counted all my bottles before I left.i arrived separated and recounted twice.the young lady came out counted my bottles then i went to the till with her.right away I noticed she shorted me on my 2 litres.then she put in the cans and shorted me over 20 cans.i stopped her at this point and asked her to come out with me and recount as I had all the numbers down and was different from her count.she was very rude refused to recount in front of me.i told her I was shorted last month and she lost it cursing me out and telling me I can't count.the guy working tried to calm her down but she cursed him out as well.then they asked me to leave but the owner showed up counted my bottles gave me the money for my bottles at my count.as usual 13 and change.the young girl was still cursing me out the whole time because I caught her ripping me off..i am a 50yo man she was late teens early 20s.she is the rudest most ignorant person I ever had to deal with..i will never be back and no one from my building and my friends will never use your service.

I only go here when I have to. They always seem to miscount alot. Heaven forbid you mix pop cans with beer cans. So expect to come out a few quarter short every time

Terrible, have to organize your own bottles, and then they under count them and when you confront them they act like nothing happened. Don't ever go here, you will waste your time and get nothing back.

The lady there short-changed me and when I questioned her about it, she told me to just never come back. Further, this theft is systemic. She counts the bottles, writes the numbers down, and the bottles are taken away as she gets the money so that nothing can be verified. Do NOT do business with these people!

I never take more than 30-50 items there at a time, but I precount everything and I've still been shorted on their manual counts about 2 out of every 3 visits recently, usually by 1-2 items each time, and mostly on alcohol bottles/cans when I check the receipts. Seriously, if there's only 4 wine bottles on a tray, how can you say there were 3? Couple that with all the wasps attacking customers in the summer, i think it's time to try the one on Edmonds from now on...

Almost never had problems with the staff who are efficient and courteous. Some of the people who return bottles here though, especially the men with trash bags full of bottles and cans. Some of them harass people. Watch out for those.

Just to update everyone: BC standardized the rates for recycling and these guys STILL offer less than everywhere else. When questioned they don't give a good answer even though their display screen shows a $.10 rate, they hand write notes to justify their position. DO NOT GO HERE

There isn't really any other option for large recycling returns at New West. Just make sure you count your returns. They will short change you.

They are the worst Bottle Depot ever they don't pay you properly they underpay for liquor bottles and cans very rude and unprofessional . I do not recommend this Bottle Depot to anyone unless you want to get ripped off.

Make sure you get a receipt and check what you have after. what was given was $2 less than what was reflected on the receipt.

They only give half the value of Beer cans. And sometimes they short you 10 cents here, 5 cents there on top of that. Not worth it if you have alot of liquor bottles and cans.
