Here you will be able to see all the opinions of real people like you who are consuming the services of Mario's Towing Ltd (Scrap Yards) near to the territory of Kelowna (Canada).
Now this business gets a score of 3.2 stars over 5 and this rating has been based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is average, neither too high nor too low, and it's founded on a high number of reviews, so we can think that the assessment is very faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their score when they are happy with the business, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to set feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Scrap Yards belongs to the category of Towing service.
Very rude and unprofessional customer service, staff is absolutely miserable and I would not recommend this company to anyone .
By far the worst customer service! They just want your money. No stars for them ???????????????????? Reply: As far as I know I haven't got a ticket nor I got towed so I'm not sure about that cool story is about but thanks for your advice. However if you like to know the reason for my review I would gladly share it and would also appreciate if you could take responsibility for the damage that were caused by Marios towing to my flat deck truck during a tow. I've called the office many times and I was promised a call back to solve this issue many times and so far nothing. You guys are just ignoring and for some reason not willing to go forward and accept responsibility for the mistake that was made by you. Hence my review, that after I paid the premium price for premium service I get damaged equipment in return and not a word back from you yet.
I am always Leary of being towed because of a horrible past experience from saybian towing in Osoyoos but Chris from Marios Towing restored my faith entirely. He drove respectfully, was kind, courteous and great conversationalist. Can't forget extremely funny as well. I know if I ever need a tow again I can trust Mario's towing and will always request Chris. Thanks again Chris.
Awesome staff! Manager really helped me out in a difficult situation and was very compassionate. Hard to find such a warm hearted business. Thank you Mario's!
Unlike some of the others here, my experience with this company, as a result of using BCAA, was indeed excellent. Me and my family (total of 6) were going up the steep HWY, just south of Kelowna, when my transmission gave up (thanks to a Honda Odyssey) with transmission oil everywhere and zero pulling power! After a call to BCAA and about 1 hour later a tow truck arrived to pick up the vehicle. But instead of hooking it up and leaving, the driver thoughtfully and persistently suggested that she'd wait until we all got picked up by another family member instead of leaving us on the side of the road. That took longer than we had hopped and not once did this driver ask, so how much longer before I can get going? She waited patiently without any complaints and gave us some great suggestions, a true professional in my view. The van was towed to their Kelowna yard without hassles and we certainly couldn't have been happier with their service! Many thanks to this driver (her name was Fawn) for making this otherwise crappy experience a little easier to take!
They're a totally fine company, EXCEPT they take full advantage of people who cannot afford to pay outrageous prices to get their vehicles out of their impound lot. I have had over a handful of vehicles in their lot and have spent thousands of dollars in storage fees due my own recognizance yes, BUT not once have they agreed to discount my invoice or work with me on a payment plan so as to allow me a way to get my vehicle back so that I can function as a normal part of society. It's like the RCMP AND THE TOW COMPANY'S work as a team to make it impossible for people who have a criminal record or a less desirable history to move forward. These kinda hurdles are what keep the petty thief, the drug addict, the credit card frauder or the chronic drunk spinning in their circle of misery. So my opinion may be jaded, but rightfully so....
Last winter i was stranded, stuck in the snow on an off road steep hill with a chained up 63 ton Super-B and Marios came and rescued me. Thanks guys...
Had to tow my mustang. I was a bit worried about it being taken care of so, upon getting it back, first thing I did was check for marks on the trunk and mirrors from wires being hung.. I dont know if they loaded it on a deck truck or what they did but there were no marks whatsoever on the car and everything was as it was. I have used them before, they do most of the work in this area.
We needed a tow tonight in horrible inclement weather. Nick and Don showed up promptly and gave us 5 star service. They were kind, courteous and very professional. Wholeheartedly recommend this family owned business. Thanks guys for making a bad night much better. H. Dyke
It reminded me of that show lizard lick towing. Very unprofessional company. Damaged my vehicle and they say it was like that. Have an appointment for a complete examination this week. From the looks of my bumper it seems like more is wrong. I mention that they should have a flat deck but the driver assured me he could tow it. He told me this is how he tows Lamborghini and ferrari. I wouldn't recommend these guys to know one. In Alberta your doors would have already been shut. Plus when I said I'm from ab they said you guys are known for fraud . If I could have put - star you would have got it. Brian
Class company help my mom and dad out when they had car problems the drive was more then helpful in a stressful time for my parents thank you Mario's Towing...
Thank-you Dave for helping us out of a jam today! So much appreciated. Thank-you for getting the car out of the garage for us and thank-you for taking the time to make sure you towed it to the right place. You made it all go smoothly. Highly recommend Mario's Towing!
They were on time when I booked to have them move a car for us and it wasn’t as pricey as I thought it was going to be the guy was very friendly and took care of his customers thank you
Very unpleasant experience Very rude
All was there when I need them
Mario’s is a over all terrible towing company. The first tow I got from them they broke my mirror off and tried to put it in the previous damages. Two years ago they towed my car in first gear, destroyed the engine and exploded my radiator. All they did for me was replace the radiator, later on my engine died and has to be rebuilt because of them… they say I waited too long and won’t fix.. when they were supposed to fix EVERYTHING. Car had 135xxx km. My boyfriend also recently got towed by them and THE TOW GUY STOLE HIS BRAN NEW AIR PODS HE BOUGHT FOR CHRISTMAS FOR HIS SISTER!!!! They are terrible. DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR NOR YOUR BELONGINGS (they commented to go through insurance)… ICBC DOESN’T COVER ANY ENGINE DAMAGE. I was towed due to a popped tire on the Coquihalla.
Mario's Towing is the best long distance Vehicle transportation Towing company I’m very impressed with the level of service very friendly ,reasonable pricing and fast delivery I will defiantly use their service again
EDIT* Was told a vehicle was “on hand” wasn’t available when I arrived, damage to the vehicle was not described on call prior to showing up, unreal pricing charge for “storage” for nearly a week when only that day was informed it was on hand. This was for a police claim, I have not used their services for just “towing”.
Lost the keys to the vechile so had to sit there like 3 hrs waiting for one to be cut
We use Marios Towing for towing of our vehicles in Kelowna. I have always received courteous and professional customer service from them.
Very unprofessional crew. Not recommended at all. Avoid these guys unless absolutely necessary.
Nice guys, easy to deal with.
Worst scumbag owner.. left car on rd with broken wheel bearing.. by law has it towed.. I pay the impound try to limp it home but can't.. have it towed from their yard but a rookie driver.. after he dolleys it here I see the dolley has clearly ripped the rear tire wide open... owner and driver deny of coarse... they will destroy ur vihicle and take zero responsibility... avoid these scumbags.. his comment asking people to " plz stop using Google reviews to lower their ratings should be a red flag".. sorry bud but people use this to avoid being ripped off but scumbags like u... be a man a deal with ur problems instead of beefing unhappy customers to keep quite.. accidents happen... customers know that and u could deal with them properly to show customers u will take care of them if things go wrong not just company on fake reviews that u probably write yourself... now the scumbag owner txt my wife calling her a liar over this review if u can't handle a bad review handle business like a man instead of coward scumbag
Bit slow but most helpful. Thx Terry
A friend rolled his commercial truck and Mario’s showed up. The driver Shawn was very friendly and helpful, explained what was going to be needed to ensure a safe recovery.
Useless. Cant show up prepared for a simple job. What kind of tow truck doesn't have enough chains for there truck. Terrible planning on management end. Please learn from this. Edit cause I can't respond directly. Scharf Rd Westbank BC Sunday January 5th it was called in via dodge roadside assistance
I dont care for Mario's towing they are crooks .
Fantastic team. Quik and professional. Being from the us we had no one to call we knew. They helped no issue! Thanks guys
I've used Mario's a few times over the years for tows or to get locked keys out of a vehicle. They've always been very courteous and dependable.
They have always been fair with me
From calling in and speaking with their customer service reps you can tell right away that Mario's towing isn't out to judge or take advantage of your situation but rather help. Especially after dealing with a police officer who didn't show a lack of care of concern for my situation I can honestly say it was a refreshing dealing with Mario's towing. Understanding, competence and empathy are things that can go a long way and they're a great example of this. Thanks to everyone on the Mario's Towing team for showing that not everyone is out to get you!
Got into a car accident, when I was being towed from the scene of the accident the Mario's driver told me the car would be a write off and ICBC would need to assess it. I asked him when I could pick the car up and he said "we will call you once ICBC assesses it" This was totally false information given to be my your employee. Two weeks later, I finally call to find the snarky woman at the front desk laughing at me saying "sweetheart, we have been charging you for everyday you car is here" (VERY condescending) 900$ just to hold my car in the their impound lot. I needed to sell my only other vehicle I had at the time to make this payment. I lost my job. They had zero sympathy and in fact, laughed at me. Finally got my car home. Would have had a close friend or family member tow it instead had I known that they had given me false information and that I would need to sell my belongings in order to pay for this TERRIBLE service. Seriously, I warn anybody who is thinking of using Mario's TO NOT. The people who work at this company are so rude, you will literally cry. Not to mention the fact that you will need to take out a second mortgage on your house to pay for their dishonest service. Sickening.
Mario’s towing damaged my girlfriends vehicle, I have been trying to get ahold of “nic” and “chad” for over a month. I was cursed and yelled at and actually have an audio recording of the lady at the front counter yelling and swearing at me. ( In response to the owner’s response to my girlfriends review below) maybe if you would answer you phone and deal with this issue or return my calls you would know this by now. Very hard to deal with, no accountability, should not have a business licence.
They responded quickly and very helpful and friendly, but they still took my car so it's hard to say it was a positive experience
She did great helping get back into my vehicle which is a challenge more than most to get in to!!
Excellent business. Dealt with a fella named Craig who organized my truck being transferred from Fort St James to Sechelt. Very punctual and professional. I would definitely use this company again. Top notch service.
Great service and reliability.
Great service, with friendly staff and drivers
They damaged my 2018 Tacoma on November 18th, 2018 while towing and treated me like a scammer when we brought it to their attention. The guy we that dealt with us wouldn’t give me his name and called me a f***ing joke. He was completely disrespectful to my wife by treating the situation as a joke. Didn’t even complete an incident report like they are supposed to as per ICBC...and this is one of ICBC’s contractors? Someone’s got an in with contracts given out. This guy even said they don’t put anything on the hoods of vehicles and do everything from under the vehicles, so genius...where do you place the magnetic tail lights and cables...on the wheels? These guys seem to think that ppl are complete idiots. He also asked me if I knew anything about towing vehicles...I told him “No...do you?” They also chipped the plastic cowling on my drivers side mirror where they hung the lighting cable from.
I was visiting B.C and my car broke down on the side of the road, and I called Mario’s & they told me they would be there within 30 min. It took them 2 hrs to get to me...I should have called Brian’s.
Terrible
Not recommended what so ever.
My son was towed from downtown Kelowna during the Center of Gravity weekend. When I phoned to find out if Mario's towing company had towed it away the dispatcher at the office was very rude and sarcastic. We don't need that after coming back to the car and finding it is missing. I can't believe there isn't a way they can text you that they have your car using the licence plate number. This is a terrible way to treat people visiting our city during an event like this. The good news is, my son placed first on Sunday at Center of Gravity! The bad news is we would not call upon Marios if we need a tow truck.
Had the greatest experience with these guys. very professional, everything arrived safe and sound. They are the best towing company I have experienced
Amazing service, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I have dealt with Mario’s several times and I am always happy with the service. From having my car towed, accident on the connector and locking my keys in the car, the staff have been helpful and pleasant to deal with. By far the best service in town!
Expensive, have dealt with them on numerous occasions. Recommend Green & White company on Rutland.
Always very helpful, I had left my wallet in the house so after pulling out of garage I ran inside and while inside for 2 minutes my dog somehow had locked the door for me to get in, I called Mario's and they where there in less 20 minutes and to boot they had a bag of dog treats ???? so kind, and very fast!
Thank you for helping out today. After I called they sent a driver right away. Bill came out in 2 minutes (literally - must have been just around), tried to revive the battery, pushed my big truck away from traffic with his hands, and advised the possible problem. Even though they could not tow my truck because of the size and bigger truck not available right away, I appreciate their help. I ended up finding help elsewhere quicker but I still appreciate their help and the fact they didn't even charge me even though I offered dispatch to pay for their time. Thank you!
On my way to big white Monday two cars spun out at the same spot close to Gem Lake, mine was one of them. Both cars ended in the snow embankment across the road with mine being the deepest. Luckily thanks to some good Sams the other car was pulled out. I called Mario’s for help. They were very busy in town but still reassured me of help as soon as they could. A deposit was required which I gave. A few minutes later the big white fire truck and team were successful in pulling me out too. Called Mario’s and canceled the call. They cancelled the charge. They were very professional throughout this difficult experience and for that they have my appreciation and future business.
It took 4or 5 phn calls before they could confirm that my windows in my truck were rolled up in their lot, kind of a pain in the a$$!!!
How convenient that you can't find me in your system. I have a $179 ticket from you guys stating otherwise
Hard working fast recovering great guys

Worse towing company. I will never call them again and never recommend them to anyone. I called them at 6PM and said they would be there 45 minutes max. When I called them at 7:45PM , they said they will be another 45 minutes and then asked me the location of my car!!!!!! when I had already told them the first time when they said they would be there 45 minutes max. They did not get to my car till 9:30PM , they had already taken my credit card number, or else I would have called another place. Such an inconvenience, and very poop communication skills. The receptionist was terrible. She definitely was not qualified to speak to people. I should have known when the rating on google was 2.5! Never again.
Worst experience with a towing provider ever. Our van broke down on our way home from Big White and we managed to pull of into an emergency pull out on the Kelowna side of the floating bridge. we contacted BCAA who found a company that would bring the vehicle home for us, and they were on the way to pick it up. We contacted the RCMP who told us that if the van was in the pullout and the two truck driver felt it needed to be moved that they would just move it off the bridge and that there would be no charge. I spoke to Nic the manager who told us they would do everything they could to help us out. I called back just before 6pm, and spoke to a dispatcher who explained that at 6pm they would be towing the van to their yard even though the other tow truck was almost on site. I called again after 6pm and was told the van was on its way to the yard and that after I paid $158.00 for the tow they would release it to the company bringing it to us. I paid the bill with my card over the phone, and my daughter, who was very unhappy with the process left a review. Nic phoned at that point and told us that because of the review he was going to seize the van and that to release it someone would need to attend in person to pay the towing bill that was already paid. We were 100 miles away by this point, which Nic was well aware off, and It was not until the owner of the company picking the vehicle up intervened that they agreed to release the van. The van made it home safe and sound, and I would have chalked it up to experience, but Nic decided he needed to leave a short nasty review on our google page. I did not want to just say something without explanation, so I wrote this story of our side of the experience. You decide for yourself if you think this was ok.
VERY PLEASED! Customer service is hard to come by nowadays. I recently had a problem with my car and the manufacturer roadside assistance put me in line with Mario's. The gal on the phone was great. Very pleasant. I was stuck on the side of the Coquihalla, they gave me some pointers and eventually I got myself going without them. Gentleman followed up, also very cordial, and polite. I was impressed. Thanks guys!
They are very good. One call is all it takes.
If u need a tow long distance this is the place to call. They have a few locations in places across the Kootenay /Okanagan area & can give a discount if they are sending a truck from your area to another near your destination.
Broke down not far from home, gave Mario’s a call. They came much quicker than they said it would take. Great service. The driver was friendly and took time to unload the vehicle in an awkward spot in my driveway, and the price was very reasonable. I do have one complaint: their hold music leaves something to be desired. I think their IT guy needs a raise.
It's never fun to come back to where you parked your car only for it to be gone. While no one is happy about this, retrieving it from Mario's was a very painless and proffesional experience. The driver of the truck put the car on dollies, which for a manual car saved me hours upon hours of work doing repairs. I was expecting to pay in the range of 300$ to have it released, and I was surprised that the bill came to 150$. For the work that was done, I believe that is a fair if not economical price. They even gave me a break on the storage fee seeing as I picked it up the next day. The staff were very proffesional, and the towing was done with quality and care. While I don't like having my car towed, I'm glad that Mario's charges a fair price, and that their work is done proffesionaly & with respect for the vehicle.
Really rude and worst service from up front woman !
A big shout out to Chris who recovered my truck after a near roll over on icy roads. Chris was super professional and made sure he took the best approach to keep my truck safe in very icy conditions.
OUR EXPERIENCE with Mario's Towing Kelowna ... was a positive one. They gave us an accurate ball park figure of the cost and time of arrival. The service was fast and courteous. We would use their service again if the need arose ... Thank you!
Older male in office was petty, combative, and arbitrary, made a horrible situation worse. Wouldn't cooperate with the RCMP, or honor arrangements they made on the phone half an hour before. Unprofessional, and exasperating to deal with. Pointlessly inflamed a situation where I nearly lost my son. Mario's,,,, retrain your staff immediately.
As a property manager having to tow vehicles frequently, Mario's Towing has always been great.
Shady. Sold my vehicle that was on a 30 day impound
We were carrying heavy stuff inside from our visitor parking to our apartment and forgot to bring our visitor park pass out so our car was gone within an hour. When we went to pay the HUGE fee and pick it up first thing next morning the office just took our keys and disappeared without telling us anything. We waited around for half an hour without knowing what’s going on. What a waste of time. Then another person has to drive your car back to you, it’s COVID for let me drive my own car back from the yard?
These guys are awesome. Remember they want to go home at the end of their shift too. Slow down and move over.
worst staff .need to do their job correctly .
Great company, great service! Have used them a few times.. Their trucks seem to always be clean and in top shape.
Good service. Nice driver. Good value.
Mario's helped us move a non-running vehicle from BC to AB. The cost was reasonable and the pick-up / drop-off scheduling right on target. Special thanks to Craig for organizing and keeping us in the loop on both ends through the whole process. And to Bob for delivering and then taking the time to help get the car rolled to its final parking spot. I would strongly recommend Mario's for your towing needs and would not hesitate to use their services again in the future.
Truck decided to lock itself while I was scraping off the windshield so I had to call Mario's at 3:30 in the morning, the dispatcher was very understanding and efficient. The driver who got to me was very nice and got to my location very quickly, can't imagine why you guys have so many bad ratings but you've got a good one from me. Thank you so much!
Not easy to work with
Last month, this company towed my semi-truck and the price they asked for was a DAYLIGHT ROBBERY!!! The day after, I needed another towing for my truck so I called a different towing company. The price that this second company asked for was half the price of Mario's for the same distance and the same situation!!!!! When I called Mario's accounting department to complain about the price, the person in charge who's name was Lisa, was not accountable and tried to convince me that his driver had helped me with some truck issues; while, everything she was telling me was wrong!!! she backed up his driver and was not responsible for the driver's lie. The guy how towed my semi had lied to the company for the number of hours he spent with me. He was not with me for even an hour, but he announced FOUR hours to his company. That was a big lie and I could not prove it cause time was not mentioned on the receipt, unfortunately. So I highly discourage you using this company or if you have no more options, ask the drivers to write the amount of time they spend with you. They are both LIARS and ROBBERS cause they robbed my pocket and I won't forget nor forgive.
Super fast service when we needed it. Amazing staff!! Friendly, professional, and quick.
Thought I had an electrical issue and called for a tow. Troy showed up early and although I already tried jumping it, he tried his booster which worked. Had to replace the battery due to the hot weather, but he saved me the tow fee as well as a whole lot of time. Appreciate the quality of service and I will use them again if necessary.
Totally unprofessional staff. My car was towed, and I inquired about the specifics of the charges that I had to pay. Their representative on the phone gave me a different total than in-person. The person behind the counter did not wear a mask and cursed while I was waiting. It's like they know their robbing people and are acting accordingly.
First off I'm shocked to see so many 1 star reviews here - dear people that are complaining about additional damage, you do realize that pulling vehicles out of ditches and such will result in more damage right? No matter who's towing it. Of course thats on a case by case basis but in my experience I've had probably 3 towing experiences with Marios towing and I've been pleased with all of them. They're timely (even occasionally faster then I'm expecting), professional, and the pricing is quite fair. I once experienced with a different company a charge for towing my truck only 600 meters, to THEIR shop where they did the work on it, that cost a good chunk MORE money then getting a tow down from the Coquihalla (about 50 km) with Marios. I recommend them to everyone and will use them myself moving forward as needed. Sorry about the delayed review but thankfully I have no needed your services personally for a while now. Keep up the good work!
Spun out and went down a 30ft slope near Hope, Art and Shaunda fortunately showed up not long after and picked me up. Absolutely wonderful people, they, with their handful of coworkers like John pulled me out with the two people who also wiped out before me in the pretty much the same spot. They fixed my severed battery cable (and also managed to knock out another problem I had with my truck that was not associated with the accident) and only charged me for the recovery and associated expenses. I would recommend them and their company to literally anyone and will be saving Mario's number to my phone in the event I ever get stuck up that way again. Truly Tow Truck drivers are the unsung heroes of Canada.
Initial call to dispatch they seemed reluctant to give me pricing for an off road tow. However I'm glad I called back for the tow. Fern was friendly and professional. She kept me informed about seized bolts on the drivetrain and was very careful with my van on the rough road. She made a stressful day better with her great attitude. Thanks.
We ended up in a bit of a pile up in McKinely Beach, I got out of the collision but risked sliding down the road. Troy was excellent and I was at no point concerned. He is a very professional driver and I was always feeling safe as he towed my truck!
Really helped me put! Kind staff and great managers
These people were using my welder that was in my truck and used up all my wire and argon. They also broke the prong off of my plug. They denied it all, but my welder was taken out of my truck and was in there workshop when I picked it up. They refused to take responsibility. They were very rude to me. They think that they can do anything they want because they tow for the RCMP. They are the worst tow company I have ever dealt with. Do not call them for any reason.
I use these guys for a lot of transportation needs. They may be the best I have used, and they are not rude, and they communicate well.
I was told that your car will be impounded for 7 days but they charged for 9 days. That’s not fair ☹️
My car was taken to Mario's recently and was deemed a write-off. Mario's towing showed up to the accident quickly and took my car, and the man that towed it was very helpful in explaining how the whole towing/icbc thing works. Every time I talked to them on the phone they were very friendly, and friendly when I went into the office. The man working in the lot even helped me carry my items out to my new car. You can't take any photos which is a bit of a bummer but I'm sure there is a reason. The only downside is I think that there were a few items missing from my vehicle... nothing large and nothing over $15.00 but still a little strange. Regardless, their service was excellent and I would use them again! ***And they will tell you every single time you talk to them that you can't collect your things from your vehicle if you are wearing sandals... so don't do it.
Shawn the heavy tow operator is excellent. Called for a tow and he showed up right away. Very professional and skilled at what he does.
Your assumptions are grossly incorrect. I called the company and the dispatcher made it seem as if I was a bother. I'm very reluctant to use the services your company provide. Secondly, why wouldn't you reach out and ask why such a low rating before jumping to your assumptions? Kinda shows the culture at your company. Thank you for confirming my rating choice.
When our car broke down and we were stranded in Kelowna tonight, Mario's dispatch and our driver, Adam, were prompt, proffessional, and friendly. Thanks guys!
Marios towing is one of the best towing companies I've ever worked with. They were very timely and efficient on both times I needed their services. Management was extremely helpful and knowing That they are family owned company made them an easy choice to call in the future.
Can’t remember the guys name but this dude picked up my trailer all the way in beaverdell gave us a ride to the hotel and then went back and got our tractor. Great timing considering where we were professional and polite and to top it off he knew what he was doing. Highly recommend this company and wish I knew his name to give him a shout out
So I was caught in Princeton Dec 20 during the storm and managed to get my tractor trailer stuck in the snow. I called Mario's Princeton and talked to a really nice lady who gave me the actual Dispatch number. Called Dispatch and talked to another great lady who told me it would be 2-3 hours which I thought was quick. 2.5 hours later a guy shows up in a 1 ton (keep in ind i was in a tractor and 53' Trailer) to pull me out. no lie.... he pulled me out!!! The rate was sooo reasonable. I wish I had paid better attention to your names so I could thank you each personally but thank you for great service and for getting me out of the snow so I could go home.... Peter Hodgkinson / Tom-Mark Transport
Attitude is everything
Excellent company to deal with!!! drivers are very professional and polite very happy they could help will be calling them again
Such a great company! I am so appreciative for their work, helping at various events around Kelowna. Towing vehicles from our event sites are a crucial part of a successful day - and I am so thankful for the reliable service from the whole Mario's team!
Hi ### I have experience this company and quick service the guy name chris ## very good person and excellent work and honest person I give him 5 star ⭐️ thank you
Stole from my car when it was held on their lot
Great service, Adam was the driver that came to help me. He was very very friendly and professional. I couldn't be happier with the help I receive.d
Lady working at the front was rude and ignorant. I've been to more then a few different tow yards and she takes the crown for worst service!!!!
Quick service, there within 60 minutes at most, helpful staff and drivers that often go the extra mile
Nick and the staff did a really great job stepping up to the plate to cover some damages that were suspected to have been done on a tow for one of our customers. Mario's tows cars to our business on a regular basis and this is the first time we have had any issue with services and they really made sure to take care of the issue. Our customer was very happy with the outcome as were we :)
Had an emergency this morning and Mario's Towing came to our rescue within 15 minutes. I was every so thankful! Thank-you Mario's!
Hate them
Rude staff and not understanding at all when it comes to people who have generally gone through something bad like an accident or car trouble. Lack of communication to the customer and between the staff.
Worst company ever... Got stuck during a snow storm, the driver got lost but didn't call, when we called him he said sorry I went to the wrong place. He then spent 1 hour trying to get to us and couldn't and told us we were on our own... A couple days later I checked my credit card statement and they charged me $472.01 for literally NO SERVICE whatsoever. I called the office 3 times before someone finally called me back, This is a terribly managed company and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I am dealing with the ridiculous charge through my credit card company. YOU ARE BETTER OFF ON YOUR OWN!!!
Top service! After an unfortunate incident and needing urgent service, Marios towing was there right away with friendly service. Definitely will call upon them again if needed.
one word. greasy. my motorcycle was towed for apparently being parked in a no parking zone in a private parking area of a condo that has a key fob gate. there was no signage saying i couldnt park there. there are signs also stating that all vehicles must show parking pass or it will be towed. i looked around after my bike was towed, half the cars didnt have any valid parking pass displayed at all. maybe its cause my bike was from alberta they didnt like it. worst of all they damaged my rim and scratched my fender on my vintage motorcycle. now their company is not cooperating in giving me or my insurance company their insurance info. the damages they did to my bike are valued at $1000. they also tried to charge me 2 days of storage when it was in their lot for less than 12 hrs. scammers and greasebags this company is. beware and look at every inch of your vehicle
At the very least this business could have moderately couteous reception staff. Given the stress usually involved in towing a vehicle
????
I have called marios towing on 2 seperate occasions now and have received beyond exceptional service, you guys are doing it right! Shout out to Jason, the driver who has provided great service both times, you da bomb, this mans deserves a raise!!!!!!! Kelowna location!
Great staff,very professional!
This company isn't professional. They are not nice at all
Towed my Moms Jeep from Visitor parking @8pm while she was visiting and told me there's no way to get it back till 10am the next day. Clearly they are capable of operating the towtrucks 24/7. But too inconsiderate to let people have their vehicles back. She lives 55km away, and they won't do anything about it. Awesome well thought out system they got.
Good friendly service.
No one likes a tow company but this one has extremely unhelpful people working there and asking a simple question of why your car is there gets you a very rude response.
Terrible service. Damaged the towed car which was illegally parked but does not excuse the damage to the vehicle. Mario's Towing lied and said they would repair it the damage but now say they won't repair the damage because "it didn't happen from us". Insurance is involved. Is that enough of a reply for you??
Very nice and helpfull
Just wanted to write a quick review in regards to the service I received from Matt about a week ago. I cannot express my gratitude for this wonderful employee enough! Matt was kind enough to spend more than an hour with me fixing my truck in the pouring rain. He REALLY went above and beyond what his duties were and I appreciate it more than words can say. Thank you Matt and kudos to Marios Towing for having such dedicated staff working for their company :)
Unblocked my car doors quickly and curiosity!
Called to get an unlock done. The truck drove into our drive way past the truck then left as they left they hit sign post knocked it over. They then said it wasn't them we wait another hr for another driver to come to do the job. The dispatcher was rude. There tire tracks proved they hit the sign. And wouldn't fix it in the manor requested. Worst service ever.
Keron done excellent job hauling by truck box in Kamloops 2 times operates the truck very smoothly good job keep up the good work
Had a great experience with them after a crash. The receptionists were really helpful and patient despite my ignorance Edit: I was just going through the reviews and man whoever is replying to the reviews is unbelievably rude
Polite, business like, gave options and alternartives!
Got stuck in the snow. Gave them a call, operator was really pleasant and gave a realistic time of arrival. Driver showed up quite promptly considering the insanity that was going on here in west kelowna. Driver was also very nice and personable. Cost was actually below what I had expected to pay. Would highly recommend.
the most useless tow company i have ever delt with the girls in the office are rude and very snooty
My truck broke down and they came quickly and helped me so much even took a look to see if they could figure out what was wrong for me and not bad prices!
I was so happy with the service I received from Rob today, he was fast efficient and compassionate for the situation I found myself in . I highly recommend their service and would definitely use Mario’s again Thanks again Rob Customer at Knox mountain
The gentleman at the front counter has great customer service awareness. Let's be honest, no one is at a towing yard for a positive reason, but he handled other customers and myself well.
They don't return calls for long distance auto shipping.
Great service
I would rate this with more than 5 stars if I could. Spot on KESH, he was really helpful for the second time when I needed a jumpstart, he was on time , professional, and smoothly did the job with a smile Mario’s, Kesh thanks a bunch :)
I received exceptional service the other day by Dave W when I locked myself out of my vehicle with my son inside. Dave was extremely pleasant to deal with and I will definitely be a returning customer.
Staff are not friendly.
Worst Company!!!! I got stuck on a snow bank, we called them and we were told they would be here in 15 min and we were the first on their list since it was 6:30am when we called!!! Never showed up, my husband called 25 min later and they said they would be here between 30-45 min, never showed up! We called again 1 hour later and they said the driver had just called to let us know they would be here in 3 min. Yes, right! My husband canceled and the other company he called was here in a heart beat! We are never going to call them again especially after reading all the other bad reviews, I'm glad they didn't make it, otherwise it would be a worse headache!
Late last week I had to send my Tesla to get some servicing in Vancouver. Mario’s Towing was their preferred towing company for vehicles in the Central Okanagan. Their service and support was amazing right from the beginning. They were helpful, compassionate and prompt. My car was picked up by flatbed an hour after speaking to their office team. The car was delivered to Tesla the next morning as promised. Once the service was done, they also picked up my car and brought it back (even driving late through the night). They were in constant touch with me the whole time. Drivers were polite and very professional. Great first experience! Thank you so much Doyle (driver) and Craig (long haul booking). ????
This company is a joke. Either with bcaa trying to get a hand and having to wait longer then the quoted time, Then to mention the rude attitude I receive because my car is lowered. I always ask for a flatbed to used for convenience for the driver and safety of my valuable car. when showing up on the job i get a sigh or a complaint because the drive has to dollies my car, with it being low the gotta block it. like not my fault. I pay bcaa for premier services. not shady looking people that look like alcohol or drug addicts. This company has no respect. NEEDS NEW EMPLOYEES
Way too many people to report through just to get a copy of an invoice
After a horrible experience with another towing company at 1 in the morning, Mario's was professional, helpful, and fast. They also did not charge an arm and a leg. Would recommend.
Thanks for your professionalism! Made a bad situation much easier to get through! Gratefully David and Erin
Horrible place and the workers are greedy and rude.last place I would call much better out there.
So unprofessional! Very insensitive. If it was my choice I wouldn't even give them a star! This guy was so rude and disrespectful! I recorded the whole thing. I was at the hospital for chest pain. I parked in a tow away zone, which I know was wrong. I just wanted to see a doctor ASAP and was more focused on that. I looked outside and seen the Mario's tow truck and went to my car. I had let them know I was there for an emergency and what there was that I could do to prevent losing my car. The only option i got was to pay by credit card or cash. I sat in my car crying asking what else I could do. He then lifted my car up with me inside with my door open. I stayed there an asked my friend to run inside and grab some cash. Even after I had the cash he proceeded to be disrespectful and insensitive and still threatened to take my car.. I have video of this all! Never call Mario's 100%
Terrible experience. Flat bed tow truck broke down towing my car. I had to drive to get it.
Matt came and picked up my lowered car with a flat bed. He took extreme care an attention to ensure that nothing gets scratched or damaged during the tow. I cannot thank Matt enough for the service and thank you Mario’s!
Was in an accident while traveling through Kelowna they had truck, trailer, and scene clear withing 35min 5* Service for sure!!
Friendly and respectful staff. Always great service.
Mario’s towing called me about 4 days before I got out of the hospital, just got out yesterday, he called me and said hey you got a towing bill of $210 there somebody turned your car on, it wasn’t me I was in the hospital, I don’t want Mario’s towing ever on my property again, I don’t care who took care of it
Customer service is non existing at this company. Fluids from their truck spilled on my driveway and street and refusing to clean it up. Way to go
Great staff
Super friendly service! I had my 62 Pontiac towed today by Bill. He arrived early and got my motor-less car on the flat-deck no problem. At the other end he was very willing to help us push the car into the storage bay. Very friendly and professional. The woman I spoke to on the phone to set up the time was equally friendly and professional. So often tow company employees are rude, grouchy and full of attitude- not at all the case with Mario's. Altogether a very positive (and not crazy expensive) tow experience. I will not hesitate to call them in the future. Great job, Bill!!!
They came unlocked my friends car cause she locked keys in car with her baby inside. They showed up in 15 min and didn't charge us a thing. And we didn't have BCAA so they did it for free. Incredible
I had driven the wheels off my large van. The rear left dually sheared off all my studs. Scott the operator loaded me up and drove 135 k home. When we got home the trick was to off load the van without wheels and not damage it anymore. This guy was the gentle giant and with great finise and knowledge he blocked the hub with a timber and with much maneuvering off loaded my van without a scratch. Great job Scott!!!
Marios towed my car for me they came very quickly. When my car was dropped off they mistakenly scratched my car, it was an accident and they made everything right for me. I have used them before and will continue to do so. Thanks Mario's!!!
Refused to come help a broken down traveller because they were less than 10 km out of their zone. This company does not care about helping people. To respond to your response - I CLEARLY stated to two separate Mario Towing employees that the towing company you recommended was closed the day I called. The response I got was "I am sorry, you are outside of our service area". This is the single worst example of customer service I have ever experienced, and it is pathetic that you are lying in your response to try to drive business. Ethics and values matter in a company, and you are displaying what sort of company you are.
Car got towed, when I picked it up there was dents and scratches all on the rear bumper. They don't care about your vehicle. Just money. Just realized they also stole a phone charging device from the vehicle. Just a heads up folks, they're good at making excuses and are probably taught how to by the cops who contract them.
What type of tow truck drive asks me to drive my car onto a flat bed when the brake line to the front left caliper is broken. I told him no and he got mad. Then I watched him bump each of the truck controls to figure out which control did what...
Flat tire in the rain. Picked me up on an BCAA call. Tow truck has no jack! Doesn't listen to my explanation where my jack is. Puts car on flatbed and tows me further from home into the first driving snow of the season to a Midas and leaves me with the advice not to drive on a 'donut' in this dreadful weather. No kidding! So instead of solving my problem he arrived ill equipped, didn't listen and made my problem much worse and potentially dangerous.
Have not needed a vehicle opened for years, then twice in one weekend. Mario's was fast, courteous, and professional. Highly recommend this company.
Great service. Operator was friendly and compassionate. Highly recommend this firm for your emergency needs.
Chris F from Mario's towing showed up soon after I blew a tire and was able to help change the tire and drove with me to get air in the spare as it too was flat. He helped fox my popped tire in a jiffy and went above and beyond what was necessary and if I ever get in a pinch again I would hope I could have someone like Chris to help me.
Great experience. Don showed up within 20 minutes of calling the dispatcher and was very professional and pleasant to deal with. thanks guys
My experience took place on top of the pass headed into Castlegar on May 23...I crashed my motorcycle big time and apparently my guardian angel was flying right beside me as I got up with very minor scrapes and bruises(good riding gear too!). Many passersby stopped to ask if we needed assistance and the first of these found cell service and called Mario's for us...what a stroke of luck! The tow truck driver was Dereck and he was nothing short of amazing! He safely and professionally loaded my bike onto the flat deck, checked to make double sure I didn't need any medical care and took me back to the office. Once back there, with a coffee he made me, he proceeded to be extremely helpful in making the necessary insurance calls, found us a room for the night etc., and then arranged to get me and my motorcycle back to Cranbrook the next day. Garvin was the driver for the trip to Cranbrook and again, I had the great pleasure of dealing with a super professional and super helpful person. Chatting with Garvin during the 3 hour drive was a pleasure and helped make a sad drive home much more pleasant! I simply can't say enough about these guys and this company and my personal experience...they made a really crappy situation the best it could be! I hope these guys get the respect they deserve as it can't be easy dealing with people that are going through some kind of bad situation!
Been a year since I've used marios but when needed Stu in merritt bc is always they're quickly and in the time he says. My logging truck always gets to wear it has to go without a scratch
I woule give 0 stars if i could... Rude staff speaking very rudely on the phone and in person
Excellent experience with Mario’s! This was my second time using them. I had amazing customer service from the initial dispatch call to the friendly tow truck driver Brandon. Way to go Mario’s towing! I’m so happy I called you guys.
My vehicle was towed by Mario's Towing company. I had been parked unaware that I had been parked in the spot next to mine instead of my own. It was towed by Mario's within an hour. When I went to pick up my vehicle the next day, the company was unable to retrieve my vehicle because it had been stuck between multiple cars. There was absolutely no organization on site and many vehicles had just been dumped there in an unorganized and chaotic fashion. They had to wait for an employee to fork lift multiple vehicles out of the way so that they could access mine (it is likely that by forklifting those vehicles, they damaged those as well). Once I had access to my car, I found there to be extreme damage done that was not there prior to their towing service. The side of my car had been dented and scratched so badly multiple times that the paint was peeling off, the bumper had also been scraped badly, and my wheel had been scraped. None of this had been recorded on the note they wrote stating existing damages upon arrival. When I saw my vehicle and addressed the damage, the company immediately began to say that the damage was there prior to their service and they had labelled this in the sheet as "driver side bumper". When I told them that it was not possible that the damage was there prior, they told me it was "just a car" and that "I should make an insurance claim". I paid $173.00 for this service. They also said they would have one of their employees look at my vehicle (which I argued was very bias and not appropriate) to determine whether it was previous damage or damage that had been done by them, and then refused to give me any contact information for their manager or this person. They claimed that they would call me within a day or two, and after one week I had not gotten a call. I returned there one week after with my partner, and received extremely poor customer service as we were yelled at and sworn at by the front desk worker. Finally she (again) took my contact information, but still would not give me anything although she resssured me I would hear back within days. It has been 2 weeks and I have heard nothing. I will absolutely not pay for the cost of the damage they have done and demand that they become accountable. I have done much research on this and have found countless amounts of reviews from previous customers saying that this company has not been accountable for many damages they have done to vehicles. This company should not have a business license to operate as they are extremely unaccountable for their (many) actions and they need to pay for what they have done, better yet, be qualified enough to not cause damage to vehicles in the first place.
Threw my name in the hat to possibly get a vehicle towed from 5 hrs away with Mario's Towing. I dealt with Daniel who was in charge of putting long hauls together. He was great to deal with ! Gave me an accurate and fair quote.Within what seemed like no time at all the vehicle was dropped off at my house by a happy, friendly driver. No surprises at payment time. Mario's was 100% great to deal with! Thanks
Great ti deal with
Absolute crappiest towing company I have ever had the experience of working with. They will tow you without warning, they have the HIGHEST rates, they will NOT release your vehicle even with evidence that it was falsely towed. please do not support this horrible buissiness!!!!
10 Star Review to Dave and the Christmas Truck! Fast, On-Time, and Professional! He hooked-up and roared outta the driveway with my 1974 31Ft Holiday Rambler like it was a Hot-Dog Cart! This guy knows how to DRIVE! Specialty towing by Mario's No Problem!!! Thanks So Much Dave and Crew @ Mario's
Sincerely, the WORST towing service I have ever had to use. The staff are rude, inconsiderate and have no compassion. My son had saved up for 3 years to buy his truck and he explained to them that when they towed it, about the differentials and how to tow it properly to ensure it was not damaged. sure enough, they carelessly towed the vehicle and ended up doing about 4000$ worth of damage. When I called the office and spoke with management they completely denied this and said the damage was already done to his vehicle. They charge RIDICULOUS amounts of money for towing or impound, the staff is very unprofessional and I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS SERVICE TO ANYBODY. I cannot believe the authorities associate with this crooked buissiness. .
One of my better experiences with a tow company.
Worst tow place in town... Why you ask? 1. They're known to joy ride impounded vehicles, so make sure to get your keys back if you are impounded. 2. Extremely Rude and Unprofessional, they don't care about you, your possessions or your time, no matter what your demeanour. (have that in mind if you use them) 3.Slap you with extra made up fee's. I was charged a "careful handling fee" my bike came back with a ton of paint scratch damage... that fee alone is a joke... it implies that if it isn't charged they don't treat your property with respect... or as I learned they don't treat it with respect even if they do hit you with another charge. 4. Damage your vehicles... good luck getting them to cover costs associated with this... they've damaged 2 of mine personally, (1 car and 1 bike.) Unfortunately the RCMP like to use them, if they are Called simply refuse them and get another company to use. Ive had a few bad experiences with them and my recommendation if all possible is to avoid them at all costs. If not make sure you take a 3d HD video recording of your vehicle as well as a time stamped picture with the milage if it is impounded and expect the worst.
Dealt with Troy. He was fast, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommend
The best service - thanks a million, Bradley Smith! You are now our go-to towing company.
4 hour response time for a tire change in urban Kelowna. I was told to expect a 45 min wait. Very disappointed.
They are all about the money. Time for the RCMP to start using other independent people. Mario's doesn't offer any help nor compassion to people in difficult situations.
Great service! Friendly staff.
Troy was amazing!! He was only concerned for my safety trying to get my vehicle out of a very dangerous/icy spot. My vehicle almost flipped getting it back onto the road, but thanks to Troy's quick thinking and actions he managed to get it out without any damage. We went over the hour by about 20 minutes, but he only charged me for an hour. Very impressed and happy with the service. Thank you so much!
My car blew a tire on the side of lakeshore rd in the lower mission. Called BCAA and was quoted a 45 minute wait time. An hour went by and I had to call marios towing to find out where this guy was. Quoted another 20 minutes by the lady working for mario's towing. another 40 minutes go by and he still didn't show. It took 2 hours and 20 minutes for this guy to come boost my car to switch out a flat. This company clearly does not care about customer service and customers have clearly stated their dissatisfaction, like myself. Get it together Marios towing....
Very professional service. Prompt, courteous and wasted no time in getting the job done. Driver new what our problem was and he hit the nail on the head. Would not hesitate to call them again. Colin Ewen
Fast service for the bonehead who ran out of gas
Go to Jamie don’t get ripped off from them!
So this is my first ever review of anybody out there on google and obviously the reason is that i have never ever in my life experienced such a low of human dignity.... we've arrived to the esso station at manning park with a very low tank, i.e. the car was showing that it's enough for another 30kms tops. the gas station was closed and as it came out the self-service was actually not an option - there's not POS terminal for the card... the nearest next gas station is about 47 km towards Princeton, so theoretically there was no way we'll make it. luckily - i thought - one of Mario's towing came by... I asked whether i could buy of some fuel from him, but he just smiled and showed me his empty gas canister while telling me that actually he should carry some fuel with himself but he never does and that i should try to get to the nearest gas station... when i told about my situation, namely that i don't think we're gonna make it that far, and what are my options his only answer was: "you'll have to call a towing service, that is probably going to be me" and he just left... it should be obvious for everybody from your google reviews that this kind of behaviour is just the norm... i really don't understand how do you guys still manage to have a business with this type of service, but hey it's your thing... but one thing for sure i never, ever met anybody before on a road - especially a professional, who's actual job is to help out in these situation - with so little empathy. btw: we actually managed to get ourselves to the nearest gas station with our car on fumes, but that's for sure that even if we wouldn't have made it, i'd never call you guys to help me out...
I needed a boost and it was a young lady from Del Oro than came to give me same and I want to compliment her on her kind and caring way of getting my car going again. Excellent service.
Just had Dean pick up my in-laws Rav4 after they were hit... Very nice guy, quick, and courteous. Please pass our thanks onto him.
Hi, so I had my vehicle towed when it was stolen, as per request by police, to have it fingerprinted. When I called Mario's to see where my vehicle was, they were very unhelpful. They tried to charge me full price for being compliant with police, and when I let them know the circumstances under which my car was towed for, and that I needed to get to work in order to pay to have my car removed, they were completely unsympathetic and were very rude. "That's nice, I don't care. Good luck". your employees need a course in empathy! And your company needs a reality check on pricing!!!! I wish there was less than 1 star!!!!!!!!!!
I unfortunately had to visit Marios to pick up my car after some repairs on Jan. 14/20, ca. 11 AM after it was towed from M and T Automotive in Kelowna a few days ago. M & T immediately found my car and made arrangements with someone at Marios by phone to take full responsibility for the towing charges. All well and good. I get to Marios and spoke to a tall older bald man with glasses re getting my car back. He gave me attitude the minute I walked in demanding right away that my ride immediately move her vehicle. No respectful greeting, just move the car now! She had parked in front and was going to wait before leaving. I explained the situation and told him M&T had made arrangements to pay the towing charges. He told me "we don't do that here". I asked him if anyone else would have taken the call and he didn't respond. When I told him I didn't know when the car was towed or why, he told me I should have know. He then typed a bit on the computer and picked up a piece of paper on the other side of the room. He then asked for my drivers license and key and told me someone would bring the car around front. It turned out "they do do that here" and I was not charged. While this was all going on, the phone rang 4 times and each time when he asked them to hold his "bad attitude" was very apparent. Clearly he was having a bad day or just had a lousy attitude and I and the people who called happened to be on the receiving end. Unprofessional, rude, disrespectful, and very poor customer service I would say. On the other hand the young man who retrieved my car from the lot was very friendly, courteous, and respectful. He could teach the old guy a few things.
I have a Tesla . I called and called Tesla services they could not open or help me with my vehical. But experienced Troy from Mario's towing who has never opened up a Tesla before did with in minutes, I finally got access to my vehical after a long wait with telsa thanks again Troy for your experience.
The absolute worst. Lost my truck in the yard 2 days after having it there. Terrible service and the worst staff imaginable. Had multiple items taken from my truck. Use any other tow company at all costs.
They think they can make their own policy's contrary to what provincial regulations state. Unprofessional, uneducated and unscrupulous is the only way to describe this pathetic company. Avoid using them at all costs.
They managed to turn one of our most stressful events of the year into a much more managable situation. After having our trailer towed and stored without our knowledge (thanks to a strata that made no attempts to contact us). Nick and his associates were extremely sympathetic and went out of their way to help make the situation financially viable for us. Considering they had done everything to the letter of the law and neednt have done anything for us, I cant begin to express how much they went above and beyond to help us "little guys" out while we were in a horrible situation. Thank you again guys, you have no idea how much more managable you have made our final semester at uni. You are great people.
They were there when i needed them fast
they want to charge more day more money
Thank you again for the quick amazing service. I can't believe the operator Ed was able to get my truck picked from how it was parked, a true professional.
Extremely rude. Called to inquire about a car I sold that was towed and impounded and the guy had no idea how to even find it. I will be telling everyone not to use this poor excuse of a company
Good service, but refuse to pay for damage to the car done by driver.
They towed us illegally without any signage.
Jan 12th 2018 I got my vehicle stuck in Big White. I called at 7:19 AM and was told that they would send a tow truck out ASAP. I thought this is great they will be here in about 1-1.5 hours (Big White is about a 50km trip from Kelowna) and it was icy/snowy out so I thought it might take a bit longer than usual - maybe up to 2 hours. Fast forward 3 hours I called again at about 10:30AM to see what the ETA was. The male dispatcher who answered the phone was less than helpful saying he couldn't communicate immediately with the tow truck driver so he couldn't tell me where he was but that he would be there soon. I thought that this was strange seeing that many tow trucks I've seen have a CB radio and there's this crazy invention that old Mario's may not have heard of called a cell phone/GPS tracking that also allows communication. So between any CB radio/Cell phone/GPS / any communication mr helpful on the dispatching end couldn't tell me where about the driver was. I called back hourly and continued to get the great dispatcher who was less than helpful and kept saying the driver will be there soon. ( at this point it had been about 6 hours since I first called Mario's at 7:19 AM. I feel like between 7:19AM and the last call from me at hour 1:00PM he would have been able to tell me how much longer but no.) Then I called again around 1:30 PM and got a female dispatcher and she was helpful and said that they were on the mountain and would be there within a few minutes (which the truck actually showed up around 2:00PM). How much does it cost for a tow in Big White from this stellar towing company after waiting 7 hours you might be asking yourself? $394.02! Please save yourself the time and use a different tow company if you need one in the Kelowna area. It's not the cost that is the issue - I understand you need to travel from Kelowna to Big white and that it might take 1.5-2 hours BUT 7 HOURS! and your dispatcher couldn't give me any ETA info about where the tow truck driver was after hourly calls to him; but when it came time to pay the bill it was real easy to get in touch eh? Get real Mario - stick to saving princess' from bowser you joker. I hope you can improve your communication with your drivers and with your customers F-. Would love to hear the explanation for this fiasco. (I should add the tow truck driver was very nice and did an excellent job) Brayden
Terrible customer service extremely rude and far more expensive than other equivalent companies expects a deposit when no other company does 7 days in there yard is more expensive than a month at dons just all around a terrible company keeping my vehicle 2 extra days to gouge me will not allow me to get my stuff out of my truck cause they probably haven't stolen enough yet
Great Service from a very friendly driver (Dan), extremely professional and efficient!
Horrible people. Awful service. Rude. They deserve zero stars
Overall terrible experience and staff are rude cant believe they are still in business "shady management "
☆☆☆☆ !!!!!!!!!!!
Service was quick and efficient. Staff was courteous and helpful.
Have had the pleasure of using Mario's towing in all aspects of our business from moving equipment to our conex containers. Their operators are highly trained and set up to do any job required in a safe manner. Would recommend them to anyone if you are looking for a dependable and respectful towing or transport company.
ABSOLUTE DISGRACE OF A COMPANY I understand this is a towing company so standards are pretty low, but they call themselves "professionals" so I am going to give this company a professional review. My vehicle was towed because it was involved in a motor vehicle accident. I was told by two staff members at Mario's that there would be no storage fee of the vehicle for the first 30 days because it was called in because of a by-law issue. Soon to find out the vehicle there was a daily storage fee and I had no choice but to pay the bill to get the vehicle released. I will stand by the fact I said a few choice words to the people at the front while there to claim my personal items and pay the bill. Who wouldnt be upset when they have "trusted and polite" staff telling you there is no storage fee and later find out there is a daily storage fee. When asking for an explanation to why someone would tell me false information their response was "pay the bill or get out", not a single person could own up to, or give me a reason why I was told false information by not one, but two staff members. After the bill was paid, I had arrangements to get the vehicle towed to a local salvage yard as the vehicle cannot be driven. This took 2-3 business days to arrange and happened to be over a long weekend. In the mean time I was getting emails from the supervisor there by the name of Chad that the vehicle is going to be destroyed by 5pm if it is not removed off their lot. Its funny because this company could careless how long someones vehicle is on their lot if they are making money but as soon as they cannot collect money from you they start throwing out threats and demands about other peoples possessions. Company is a joke ! The staff are dishonest, extremely unprofessional, not one supervisor will actually answer the phone to deal with customer questions or want to discuss a simple thing. They will just pick up the phone and hang it up in your ear because conflict resolution is not in their forte. Its a shame because the owner Mario has dealt with my family in the past for a purchase of a vehicle and happened to be very friendly but when it comes to business none of the people he employees can fulfill their job duties.
Josh is the best. He really helped us out when we broke down going through town. He found a place for us to take our truck late on a Saturday. He really went above and beyond with his professionalism and sympathy to our situation. We wound up being able to get our truck fixed in an hour or so and went on our way. This wouldn't have happened without Josh's knowledge and help.
Kevin is an absolute beauty. Was very great grabbing my girlfriend on the coq yesterday after a crash. Kept the dog warm in the truck and took care of everything. Great guy. Great company. Cam Kelowna bc
While I understand times may be tough due to COVID, I would have hoped that this would not impact customer care or services. There was a lack of hygiene measures in place from staff, who are handling our personal belongings. Hand hygiene, gloves or hand sanitizer was not used routinely by staff before grabbing keys or ID. This leaves both parties at risk for transmission of COVID. Charges were not consistent with what was informed over the phone, and the calculated kilometre rates were poorly explained. A way to prevent these errors in the future is to lay out a service fee charge on your website that both staff and customers can refer back to. I appreciate the work of Mario's towing as they often help people in a tight spot, but would have liked to have seen more professional and confidential responses to those leaving bad reviews. There is always room for improvement and I look forward to seeing the company evolve.
Their dispatch is 24 hrs but yard is 8 30 to 5 30
Rude customer service, also hear that this company is gang affiliated.. surprised the police associate with them. Shady.
A big thank you to Troy, for helpimg me out after a early morning snowfall when my car slid off the road on my way work. He was there quickly, was professional and friendly.
Young people with a who cares attitude..The vehicle received more damage as a result of there towing service. If your in an accident I suggest taking as many pictures at the scene of your vehicle from all angles especially areas that have no damage as Mario's is famous for damaging vehicles in there possession.
Very awesome place..staff went out of thier way to help.affordable rates so poor folks like me could afford to get my car out
Great place great deals!
Fantastic service from Manager Nick and his staff! I went in to help my young daughter figure out her situation with her car after an accident. Very friendly and helpful! Fully recommend Mario's.
Joy and the staff were more then understanding... my car was stuck there because of my own stupidity... they went above and beyond to work with me so I could get my car back... I am amazed at the customer service and want to give appreciation to Joy who went out of her way to help me and also managment for hearing her out so I could get my car back! On behalf of my children and I.... a standing ovation to Mario's towing!! Xo Thanks again Theresa Beauregard
Nick from Mario's Towing knows what customer service means. On Sunday, Jan 19th we needed to have a car towed from our hotel one block away to Cdn Tire. We waited for three hours and were given different reasons by BCAA every time we called. The tow truck never showed up. We finally drove on a flat tire the one block to the mechanic using a can of air and gunk. The next day Nick called me at the hotel to apologize and ask how he could make it up to us. He said that not showing up was not acceptable to him. I thought the apology and phone call were already a really great gesture, but Nick himself showed up at our hotel later that day with a written apology and a gift card for coffee. What a great gesture. I know this company will be successful. I think they showed me a thing or two about being courteous. Thanks Nick!
Don't waist your time with this company. I called them to tow my car and they said that they will be there in 15mins. 30 mins pass and no one show up, I called again and they said he is on the way. Another 30 mins pass and no one showed up. Called again and they claiming that they came and called me and never answered, and waited 20 mins for me I was sitting next to my car and no one called my phone and no one showed up. They are no honest company and listening to me and don't deal with this company.
Had my car held here for 7 days after it was towed. $330, and, the icing on the cake, damage to the bottom of my front end splitter. Car has less than 1000km and I have never hit the splitter on anything. I baby this car and even have it completely wrapped so I know every inch of it. I mentioned the damage to them, and basically got told I have to go through ICBC, nice. This place won't give two shlts about your car and I highly recommend checking it on the spot for damage. I won't be surprised if they try to weasel their way out of this based on other reviews but I expect nothing more anyways. UPDATE 10/2/2017: Big surprise. This company took zero responsibility in the response to my review. I had the gentleman who drove my car out of the lot come back out and acknowledge the damage to the front splitter (after i went back inside to point it out to the unhelpful woman at the counter) and he even acknowledged that he had a similar experience with marios -- that's coming from an employee working there. I was going to see how this response went before leaving further feedback on other platforms, but it went exactly as expected based on every other response they gave to everyone else who complained about damage or theft. I guess we are all making it up, right? Here is an idea Mr.Owner, go take a business class and learn how to provide professional customer service when there is an issue. Just because your employees marked no damage on a piece of paper doesn't mean there wasn't any. This damage was underneath the splitter which was caused by either loading or unloading the vehicle and scraping it against the pavement or truck bed. Why would I waste my time writing all this? Why would I make it up? My time is far more valuable than that. Out of principle I will leave my honest feedback on every platform available to me. This company could have resolved this professionally but didn't. I didn't even get a phone call which is the least they could have done. I urge everyone considering this company to seriously look at these reviews, and not just mine, and then draw your own conclusions. Also, consider how every response is written to deflect responsibility.
Definitely would not recommend to anybody who is a friend!!!!!!! Prices through the roof, drivers will tell you anything to get a tow for that kind of money. Call envirometal towing on the westside, they gave me a 180 dollar cheaper quote FOR THE SAME TOW. (not to mention with MUCH friendlier customer service)
Very poor company over priced and not friendly at all
Terrible service.. Took them almost 4 hours to come 60 kms outta town. They send the flaggers way before the tow truck. Ended up paying $770 for flagging and towing????
We got stuck on our way up to Myra Canyon & Troy from Mario’s Towing was very helpful and quickly got us unstuck! He was friendly & considerate, we appreciated it so much! Thank you Troy & Mario’s towing!!
Poor customer service!! and very expensive rates. Dont call this joke of a company
Awesome service, quick and did a really good job. Not as expensive as i expected.
The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and was arguing with me because I didn't know where I was. I gave her 2 or 3 locations from my GPS to where I was. Km and Minutes away from Kelowna and Aspen grove. She said "well thats not very good, how are we supposed to find you" absolutely the worst person I have spoken too in a long time, terrible business and social skills. Would never and will never call them again.
What can I say , well picking up the Camaro we were glad to get it out of the impound but for them to ask why the car wouldnt start is mind blowing . Why would they ask that unless they were curious what being in a race car is really like . We have kill switches in the car so it kills the battery immediately when someone tries to start it . Plus to tell me you open and a 830 and weekends it opens at 10 . I guess even Mario's doesnt know how to tell time . Not happy especially with how rude customers service is their
Great experience today with this company ! Their driver Rob really went out of his way to help us out in a tough situation and we appreciate it very much.
Friendly, professional, and an experienced towing company! My car battery was dying on me, I had to call BCAA and Mario's towing arrived in under an hour. The tow truck driver, Dave, checked to see if there were any other issues with my Jeep, unlocked my car door because my keys were locked inside and loaded my Jeep up on the flat deck in what seemed like minutes! Dave was competent and a great conversationalist! Full of stories. Tow truck drivers truly go through some horrifying (but also gratifying) situations. Kudos to them. Thank you for your service!!
At first the manager was super helpful in getting cars back, but than we had to go and deal with a vechicle needing to be towed out and had a issue with one man that works the counter, he got aggressive and lost his temper, attempted to put his hands on my hubby and co tinue with very rude vxxc comments and trying to antagonize and threaten him it was incredibly unprofessional honestly and just outright rude... but that's not everytime it really is hit or miss at this place..
Very pleasant people to deal with.
We were stuck on Valentine's and they were out within 15 minutes and great service and the drivers concern about my daughter was fantastic. Definitely recommend
The people here are rude, unsympathetic, arrogant jerks. I do not recommend this towing company to ANYONE. Shame on you guys.
Terrible service
Shout out to Jason! Thank you for successfully getting me out of my predicament late last night. Your calm presence was greatly appreciated. You got it done (out of the ditch) and I am grateful for your skills and experience
Staff was rude. Company is disorganized. Called their directory to find my car, they said they couldn't find it. Luckily I went to the lot in my city and it was of course there.
Very unreliable and rude. They have been lying to us for 3 days that they didn't find us home, although we work from home and we are always in. Today I waited for 2 hours in front of the building because they said the new car will be delivered, but they didn't show up. When calling them for the million time I was told 'we are going to deliver when we are going to deliver'. And when I said I will post a bad review Craig said 'whatever' and hang up. And I still don't have the car. I really hope no one else goes through this.... I see now that they've just replied to my review and their answer tells a lot about their costumer service quality! I paid a lot for this delivery and Neil said he will call me in 10 min on Friday to explain what happened. Never called back, of course. No further comment needed!
There is a giant reason these guys at Marios get an overall just over 2 star rating, is there not! Tonight at 9:35 pm, Thurs, Sept 28th, 2017, this one complete dunce tow truck driver from Marios was right on my car's butt all the way up Dilworth and I pulled over to let him go by as was so annoyed and then cause he peed me off I high beamed and only for like 2 seconds and the dipstick stopped right on the road and was dangerous and totally called me out as some other cars passed. I told him to stop being a complete dip and some other things as I had every right to. He said I should drive between the lines etc etc. Holy S I was and not even a drink as I worked a long day but maybe when someone is right on you it may be impossible to focus as I was getting super annoyed. I was in the lines though, what a moron! This guy should be fired as he is such a danger and so unprofessional! Fire that idiot! He then as well followed the next car up close, wow! Idiots like this should have license taken away and job too!
I am writing this review because I was told that Mario's Towing uses dispatchers out of their kelowna office to dispatch drivers for other locations. My daughter was involved in a car accident outside of kamloops last week. (freak Hail Storm) She rolled her car. I just want to thank all of you for your compassion and understand through this horrible incident. We called your office and your ladies on the phone were fantastic in providing all the information to us. We had not been in an accident before and Mario's Staff provide all info required on how to start the claim process to how to get my daughters items out of her car. They went way beyond what I believe was a reasonable expectation. You should be proud of the people working for you. God Bless!!!!!!! you deserve more than 5 Stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Marios is great highly recommend for Stata buildings.
I couldn't have had a better experience! They were fairly quick on a very busy day. The operators were very polite and very helpful.
1230 AM a Mario's tow truck passed us going down the hill after the connector turn off crossing the double solid line. He then turns on his high beams on the back of his truck blinding us. Then speeds away at speeds well above the posted limit. A few mins down the highway at the top of the hill past antlers beach he comes to a complete stop in the middle of the highwayturning his back spot lights on again. The car in front of us tried to slowly drive around him to pass not knowing what was going on. The tow truck swerved into the other lane trying to block the car from passing which the car managed to do with almost getting side swiped by the driver. The tow truck then passes once again across a double solid yellow line and speeds away at at least 120km. The car that he just passed clearly got scared and turned around and went back.By the time we caught up to him he was towing a car from side of highway with 2 police cars already there. It was a scene from a horror movie almost. This driver put lives at risk and I would highly recommend avoiding his business. This has been reported to the police as well.
I drive a vintage mercedes benz that I take great pride in driving. I was very disappointed one day to find my car gone from where I had parked it. Mario's NEVER contacted me, I had to find out where my car was (out of both of the lots they have in this city and other tow companies who could have towed my car..) Then when I finally tracked down my vehicle, it had been treated very poorly, there was body and paint damage that they refused to claim and when they pulled my car out of the yard, they dragged it to the front of the yard with a fork lift... TOTALLY UNNECESSARY!!! Very angry... This is totally unethical, do not support Mario's towing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for the exceptional service. Our commercial truck went down and you were there to pick it up in minutes. We really appreciate the help in getting us back on the road asap.
Terrible service. Car went into the yard in good shape. Came out of the yard with a dent in the trunk and emblem missing. Shockingly the dent appears to match the shape of a pry bar. Imagine that. Nothing but a bunch of thieves.
Terrible service.! They stole all the change out off my car.
Was told tow truck would arrive within 1.5 hours. 3 hours later still no tow truck. Called twice after 2 hours wait, said they would be arriving any minute. Called to cancel their tow truck to find another company. Yet they still charged 400 dollars for who knows if they even sent any tow truck out. Update: as you can see below they asked me to send them an email and provide info on the call. I sent them an email about a month ago and have yet to get a reply. Maybe the message below is just a bot. In any case haven't heard back from the company whatsoever.
The Kelowna division was very good to work with, they showed up very quickly and Towed my commercial truck to a service without any issues
Towed a 48000 dollar custom motorcycle and ratcheted straight to the paint after a 150 photo walkaround showing no flaws. Acknowledged the damaged paint and aluminum on receipt, was promised a call and never heard from them again. Spent 6 hours repairing the damage myself rather than pursue legal action. Edit: I returned to the lot and your own employee took detailed photos of the damage and acknowledged it. This is not a case of me not reporting it. At this point I'm not seeking repayment for the damage I've repaired it myself, I'm just letting others know. You also tore the bumper off a friends Blazer when you towed it. Additionally you charged me $170 for a 1.2km tow of a vehicle while I walked in to get a visitor pass at an apartment complex, your driver just happened to be there at the time. It took less than 10 minutes from the moment I locked my door to return to an empty parking lot. When asked about the charge I was told it was based on kms, when I presented the coodinates and distance I just received blank stares. This is not an isolated incident.
Good
Great I'd call them again and will in the future
Jonathan was amazing. And the dispatch lady was lovely as well. I would recommend this company to anyone, thank you again Jonathan !!
The staff is rude and they seem like they hate there job. I never want to deal with those horrible people again
Poor Towing Practice. Mario's Towing was towing vehicles off of the streets, in the Kelowna downtown core Jan 9th, 2022 without the use of a dolly under the rear wheels. My truck as well as several of my friends 4x4 vehicles were towed improperly. When we questioned the operator, as we caught him in the act, his story went from 'I didn't tow those', to 'call the city to complain', to him taking pictures of us (while we were documenting the scene), to him accusing us of hurling derogatory comments towards him, to him hanging out his drivers window glaring at us every time him circled the block. I emailed Mario's towing and didn't hear back from them. Sad to see this abysmal quality of work from their tow truck operators when the client isn't there. Can only hope complaining to the city gets their contact pulled. Don't expect me to be calling Mario's if I'm ever in need of a tow.
Terrible and shady customer service, super rude and terrible at communicating. Kelowna needs more options.
A really BAD outfit! They towed my son's car and when it was lifted there must have been a rock on the lift part of the tow arm and it pierced the oil pan . They did not disclose that they damaged it and the engine failed just blocks from the tow yard. When they were contacted they refused to take any phone calls about it. BAD people to deal with.
Called them at 1 am to tow my friends car. Gentlemen who came was very friendly! Good service overall
I needed to move a non running Datsun parts truck that did not have a front axle from a driveway onto my trailer. I explained this to the Dispatcher and she must have understood this completely as Brandon (Truck #22) was dispatched with his tilt n load. He assessed the situation and knew immediately how to handle this. He had the Datsun loaded onto his truck and unloaded onto mine in less than 20 minutes. He knew exactly what to do. Brandon was excellent in all aspects. Great knowledge, communication and very personable. He's truly a great asset and ambassador for Mario's Towing.
Horrible customer service. Price gouging.
No one likes having their vehicles towed at the best of times, never mind if/when you feel it was unfair. But regardless, I'm pretty sure Mario's gets the flack most every time no matter what. They get all the anger and hostility directed at them when it's not their call, but the City's. In my case, my car was towed for being without plates on the street for matter of an hour or so while the underground parking was being cleaned. I was literally at the top of the driveway to the parking entrance/exit. I was livid. It was basically just driven off the property and immediately parked curbside on the road for a car's length. I disputed it with the city officer being such a minor infraction technically not driven as much as rolled onto the road and for such a short amount of time. But do you think he budged? Do you think he cared? Was there a huge net gain generated by the fine? Not a bloody bit! "Just doin' my job." On the other hand, Mario's heard me out; empathized with my medical and financial hardship. Their labour and equipment services are costlier and yet they what they could to help. It's a tough business to be in. You couldn't pay me enough to take all the harsh treatment they receive day-in and day-out. The fact that they treat people in a manner that garners positive reviews is remarkable. Mario’s should receive additional compensation for all the abuse they take. Better yet, the City should have a clerk stationed at Mario's to take all the flack. :-)
I want to give a huge shout out to Mitchell of Mario's Towing!! He arrived a half hour before his expected time and was so courteous and accommodating!! He is, in my opinion, a very valuable employee!!
Had a completely dead car, and called Mario's who sent Matthew with a large flat-bed which was required to tow my AWD. He was very efficient (knew all the ins-and-outs of my oddball car), very polite, quick and efficient. I would recommend Mario's (and Matthew) to anyone needing this service. (I don't know how anyone can back up one of these humongous trucks, especially when loaded!)
Obviously not many people call a tow service when they're having a good day, but they made locking my keys in my car as un-annoying as possible... The dispatcher I spoke to first was nice and helpful, and the driver arrived even quicker than the estimated time I was given and took no time at all to do his thing. I hope I don't have to call them again, but I wouldn't hesitate if I did need to!
DO NOT waste your time with this awful company. Our travel trailer blew a wheel bearing and axel on the side of highway 97, outside Peachland. I called and was VERY clear to the lady on the phone that we needed a flatbed towing truck as the trailer was not drivable. She said she understood, that a flatbed would be sent and it would be an hour wait. I agreed and provided my credit card details. After an hour went by standing on the side of the highway, I called back and she said it would be another half hour. When the truck finally showed up, it was just a regular tow truck, not the flatbed we had requested!! Are you fricken kidding me! I called back in outrage and they said it would be another hour and a half to get a flatbed. When I told them to shove it, they said they were going to charge me the fee, even though the first truck they sent was THEIR mistake! What a joke of an operation. No understanding of people's time, money and towing needs. Steer very clear of using this company.
Amazing company! Amazing Staff and Drivers!
Quick, friendly and skilled. Got me on my way hassle free. I gotta say I hope I don’t need to use these services again but i would in a flash and so should you.
Would not recommend
They like to take your money!
Worst experience I've ever had I had to drop out of university to pay for my tow bill!!!!!!!!! Wouldn't suggest to anyone. Do not let them toe your car
Mario's Towing has got to be the BEST transport service I have worked with. Nic & his team - Derae, Craig, Darcy, Chad, to name a few - always go above and beyond to make things happen quick! They are diligent, honest, and provide outstanding customer service for competitive rates. Vehicles always arrive in pristine condition, and always on time, if not a few days early! The few times there has been any hiccups, they are quick to get in touch and let us know what's happening. I cannot say enough good things about this group. Lights out - fantastic!
Never used lately but if u wanted something to be towed
