Very polite, but their estimates on the load was not accurate. there was more room on the truck, about 1/8 and i was charged for a full load, if they had filled the truck with the remaining lumber i need to get rid of I would have been very satisfied. I think that if they tried to take a slightly bit more that their estimate that would make people more satisfied for the price that they pay.

At the time the drive was supposed to pick up, he called and cancelled. I was forced to call someone else to make the pick up. Very poor service and planning on the part of you this company.

We had to her stuff out so we could move our mom to assisted living,so my sis had used them before and decided to pay HIGH rates plus a $100 tip,only for my sister to see them at the landfill on her way home dumping all my mothers beautiful stuff going to the LAND, employee that works here said they’re here many times per day with furniture! Use someone else, we are looking into recourse as they LIE. They do nOT repurpose into the community,we could have furnished a whole house with lovely things. This would kill my mom if she knew. Nice job guys believe me we will not stop BBB will be contacted as well! No refund issued nothing except saying the warehouse was full? Then don’t take anymore stuff, we could have taken it to the dump,that was NOT the point!

RESOLUTION: Having posted this Google Review a few days ago, I was contacted by the 1-800-GOT-JUNK Head Office. They looked into this matter, and agree that this wasn’t handled correctly (they treat these things as a “learning experience”). They have credited back the extra costs that I incurred. All-in-all they have resolved the issue to my satisfaction. In turn, I have upped my rating from 1 to 3 stars. Kudos to 1-800-GOT-JUNK for responding to, and resolving, issues regarding customer dissatisfaction. This, in turn, has instilled in me the confidence that I would recommend using their services in future. Read on, if you wish to know the background. ORIGINAL POSTING: First the good part. The guys doing the lifting/carrying/removal were awesome. I don’t know how you guys arrange to have such pleasant and capable employees. Now the “not-so-good”. After arriving late, the team gave me a “firm quote” of 1 5/8 truckloads for my removal. I accepted and they began work. Having arrived late, they ran out of time on their workday. Their owner requested them to ask to knock off for the day, and continue the next day. I agreed on the condition that my removal was to continue “first thing”, the next day. I paid for the 1 1/8 loads done, with a half load to be completed the next day. The next morning, they didn’t turn up. When I phoned, the owner/manager claimed that he was under the impression that it didn’t matter when they turned up. When they did finally arrive (after noon) I received the real “show stopper”. I was told that the owner/manager had decided that my move was taking too long. He was changing the terms of our deal, and was only prepared to complete the half load at an hourly rate of $140 per hour. This goes clearly against the 1-800-GOT-JUNK policy. Firm “truckload” pricing is made clear on their website, was stated by the guy when I made the appointment, and again when the guys gave me the quote. EVERYONE was clear that the cost was by the truckload, never by the hour. Furthermore, it’s made clear that once a customer agrees to an estimate, it is FIRM (ie. the cost won’t change). Following some “hard-negotiating”, and after several back/forths on the phone, the owner manager capitulated and agreed to honour the original deal (he then leaned on his guys to work “double speed” to make up his losses). Only later, did I realize that by paying first for 1 1/8 truckloads, then separately for a half truck I ended up actually payed MORE than I would have paid if they’d done the full 1 5/8 load (as partial loads end up costing the customer more). All-in-all I’m extremely disappointed in 1-800-GOT-JUNK trying to change the deal in the middle of a removal.

Very friendly guys came to do the pickup. Quick and efficient and called ahead of time. Service was great but pricing a bit steep in our opinion. Only option is by volume and not by weight. If you have lots of cardboard or garbage bags, it adds up really quick! Otherwise no issues at all.
