So, we contacted Port Sydney auto to try and find rims for snow tires for our car and were thrilled when they said they had a matching set. I asked if they would fit my car and attempted to give them the specs and was told they looked it up on the computer and these rims should fit. They would not pull them for us until I had given my credit card info, and told us to pick them up in an hour and a half. Well we called back half an hour later to let them know we were on the way, drove for an hour and 15 minutes to get there and be told they had not pulled the rims because someone else said they wouldn't fit. They were willing to order us new rims, at well over twice the cost quoted, but honestly, who would be stupid enough to do business with these folks after this run-around? This is not a good way to do business. So after I posted this review they did actually contact us to try and resolve the issue, wanted me to remove the review and offered to get us the parts we needed and send them a bit closer for us to pick up, so I guess that's something!

This place seems to be mostly for servicing trucks and large vehicles although they advertise basic repair & upkeep services for car owners too. Service was slow when we cashed in an old vehicle, hence only 3 stars. Otherwise they appear to be a long-running successful business.

Called on Monday, they answered and i told the guy on the phone the part i was looking for. After taking down my name and number he said "I'll call you back". After waiting the rest of the day (i called at about 11:30), i never got a call back about the part i was looking for. I let Tuesday go by and still no call. I called around the same time on Wednesday and daid what had happened, told the guy on the phone what i was looking for and adter leaving my name and number again, he replied with "Ill be sure to call you back". Again, no call. Thursday and Friday went by, still no call back. Nothing but a waste of time and lack of respect for customers. If you are telling someone that you are going to call them back, then call them back. I was simply looking for a truck hood. Nothing special, a hood for a truck.

Disappointing return policy. I ordered a Throttle Body (A electrical and mechanical) component for a VW. After receiving the part, it could not be programed by VW- it was defective. After calling Port Sydney Recyclers they would only refund the cost of the part, not the shipping portion as it was a "electrical issue". A defective part is a defective part. Disappointing, to sum up the experience. In response to the owner, the garage confirmed the part was defective and that I also mentioned that I would be sending the part back for a refund.

This place is awesome! Any time I needed a part, all I had to do was call and they were promptly on it. Great pricing, family like atmosphere, couldn't really ask for more. Anytime I had an issue, they would immediately resolve it with care and consideration. Would highly recommend to all my friends and family!

Called for a price on a front differential for a dodge pickup. The gentleman I got on the phone was very standoffish and not helpfull at all. All i was looking for was a rough price on the part, he informed me he needed to know the gear ratio before he colud help me with a price. Im going to guess that he was upset at me for not having the gear ratio. All other auto wreckers only needed the vehicles vin number to help me... I have called 5 auto wreckers today and all have been very helpful and given me a price for the part without the ratio, to further that all the wreckers I called could look up the price they sold their last differential for. But your parts person couldent. No sale here!
