customer service is horrible, go elsewhere they will try to rip you off. They gave 75$ a ton instead of 105$ a ton because I removed the cat, also owner was very rude.

The lady at the front is the most miserable, unhelpful and rude person I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. Everyone who works here seems to be miserable but she takes the cake. I strongly suggest going anywhere else but Sudbury Iron & Copper. Worst customer service I have ever received. If there was an option to give less than 1 star I would.

Despite the negative reviews of this place, I decided to go in for a visit earlier today. Might as-well see what the fuss was about while recycling some items from my storage that I did not need. I can personally say that the customer service here was extremely friendly. They were not only accommodating to me, but they whent out of their way to give me directions to the office. From there I got directions to their scales. I'd like to think that the owner of this place did change things for the better. Seriously, well done guys. However their prices here aren't exactly amazing. This is where this review is robbed of one star. To give an example, I've dropped off an 190D mercedes BEHR aluminum radiator that weighed 14 lbs with two copper pipes attached to it for this review. It was a part that I'll never sell to my clients, and the only plastic were the end-tanks. But this place treated as a complete mix. And I got about two dollars from it. I understand that prices on various metals fluctuate, but this quote was just terrible. But I wanted to see how they'd treat specific items. All and all, I am satisfied with my visit here. And I can see myself visiting again to get rid of heavier and less valuable metals here. After-all, I'm not in the business to recycle parts as my fulltime jobs are elsewhere. However if I ever plan to recycle my lower-grade Mercedes parts warehouse to make space for new parts from Europe, I'll defiantly be looking elsewhere.

This one dude who happens to work there every time I go in with aluminum and or copper, is completely rude to me. He claims that my bags aren't the right ones and I always make sure thr cans are somewhat crushed. I get the cans given to me constantly, so I sort out beer cans, and junk. Yes I might miss one or two, but that shouldn't mean that I lose a massive amount of money. Not happy with these people at all

took in a pickup truck load of aluminum and copper today. Quite a lineup had to wait 30mins but when I got my turn to go it went smoothly. The employees were helpful, a bit abrupt and seemed a little annoyed but helpful.. Mixed aluminum is 23 cents per pound so don't think you'll be laughing to the bank on aluminum cash lol I was happy with the price I got for the copper. Insulated house wire was $1.35 per pound I think and #2 copper was $2.85 I think. Thanks guys.

First time here since AMI took over. My experience was terrible. My copper was in an old paint pale that was fully dry. I guess because of the weight some of the dry paint stuck to the ends of the pipes. The guy I was dealing with started swearing like a trucker over this and preceded to tell me it was now #2 over 1/8th of an inch of paint stuck to the end that I could have easily plucked off with my fingers. Never gave me the option he just decided it was what I was getting and tossed it I. The bin without letting me take it back. Place is terrible IMO

I just had a friend drop off a huge 20 foot bin of aluminum for me and was paid out only $0.12 as they stated it was dirty aluminum. Correct me if I'm wrong but according to the picture I took before the bin was picked up, it looks like pretty clean aluminum to me. I called the office to dispute the price paid out and person in the office was disputing what was in the bin...I loaded the stuff by myself, so I know what was in there. Very dishonest company to deal with.

Tried dropping off a small amount of scrap metal - didn't even care to receive money for it, I just wanted to recycle - but was not able to receive any service at all. Posted signage and directions are not adequate, particularly if you have never visited before. Gave up and went elsewhere.

There crooks. I brought in two oil tanks that weighed 480 lbs and they said it was tin without looking at it. I had already unloaded it and wasn't in much position to fight back. I asked about it and was told off by staff. I'm never going back.
