We enjoyed the jacuzzi tub which worked very well, room was smoking which we wanted and we were able to park in front of the room. Clean and bed was comfortable. Lacked room service for new sheets and no garbage collection. Other than that is was a good stay. Check in an check out was fast and easy. Would stay here again.
We booked the hot tub room on a Friday night for our 7th wedding anniversary. There wasn't enough hot water to fill the tub, the jets didn't work. At check out, we learned the button to turn the jets on was hidden behind the bathroom door …
The service was very poor. The manager was very rude. We were charged extra without any notification. They are stealing people money. Stay away from them.
Room ventilation would be an asset, the room had a stuffy odour although the AC unit helped.
Rooms were clean. Minus the corners which contained spiders. Outdoor pool was unusable due to the amount of ants on the deck and amount of bugs and debree in the water. It should be cleaned more often, or at least have tools near the pool so guests can clean it themselves. Breakfast was simple but everything was stocked and tasted good. Staff are absolutely wonderful. Everyone was super friendly and always smiling.
Room was clean but needs to be renovated. Pool was excellent and there were plenty of tables and chairs to accommodate families. Location excellent and close to main thurofares.
We stayed here as it was close to Smugglers Glen Golf Course and the 401 highway.I
We like this place. Well centered. We like it because we can have a walk around and it is near attractions as well. We also got good price for the stay
This hotel is right off of the 401 and close to the 1000 Islands Charity Casino. There is another Choice Hotel in town near the waterfront but on a weekend the price was 3x this one. Very close to the 1000 islands parkway. Plenty of food …
good value for money, would definitely stay again, clean and good service
We were on our way to Summerstown to go camping and decided to stay for the night part way there. We called Quality Inn inquiring about last minute room availability. I was looking online on the wrong dates seeing $81 a night, the lady on the phone quoted $174 (last min on a Friday night before a long weekend was still a great price). I mentioned the online price, she looked it up and couldn’t find it. I realized I had the wrong dates in the booking software. She was correct on the price. She took $20 off for me. We booked! The room was spotless clean, sheets were clean, bathroom was clean. Everything was in good repair. Not too loud and the parking lot was clean. We will definitely book here again. Hot breakfast was excellent!
this was the second time we were living in Choice hotels, it was wonderful experience . We love to stay there again, all staffs were great, facilities were great, good break fast. The location is also awesome, heart of city, close to harbour .Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Room was clean other than the shower curtain that left to be desired
We were not happy trying to reserve through the 1-800 number. Was a US agent and she was not able to put our credit card through, and said that the hotel was booked. Instead of reserving, we ended up just arriving at the hotel and had no problem getting a room or with our credit card.
Complimentary breakfast is very badly organized. We had to wait for 20 minutes for egg to be refilled. When it was served, poached egg was frozen and boiled eggs were served raw. Such bad service! Either they should not have refilled or filled with proper quality food. There was no milk for coffee. We were very disappointed with such service from a reputed hospitality brand.
Hotel is in a good area. Across the street from a few stores, and walking distance to many more. Room was fine. Breakfast was very nice for what's considered 'continental' (eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, toast, yogourt, apples...) …
We stayed in a sweet. Was old looking. Bed is jammed into the room with little access from one side. Bed is really hard. Cracks in tiles in bathroom. Didn’t use bubble bath, was told it was a jacuzzi lol.
We booked for two nights. The linen had many stains, which is gross ????. We had booked two room suite with one bathroom. The shower head was leaking and spraying water. When you wanna take a wash it keep spraying all over your hair and over the shower curtain ????????♀️. Washroom sink was clogged and slow on draining. One of the bedroom had old manual air conditioner which didn’t work properly. On our first night, when you leave it at ‘cool’ it would only stay on for 2 minutes then turned off for more than 5 minutes. My 5 year old couldn’t sleep as it was too hot in the room. It could only work for fan to be on but then the air conditioner can’t be on at the same time. When we told the front desk the next day, their response was ‘nobody to fix it now. It will have to wait till tomorrow’ ????????. Not good customer service at all. I mean the front desk was nice when you inquire about sight seeing, where to eat etc but the service was not that great. When my husband went to ask for extra towels on day 2 morning, they told room service will be bring them shortly. Then this guy with dried up paint and a dirty shirt brought clean towels. I was not impressed as clean towels were all over his dirty clothes. It’s just common sense. They didn’t even empty our garbage while we were out the next day. Overall, we would not go back there nor recommend anyone to go there. With COVID-19 restrictions you would think it would be much cleaner but it was the opposite.
Enjoyed the extremely large jacuzzi in the middle of the room! Loved smoking room option cause let's face it, definitely isn't the same going outside in your pj's. Definite selling feature for me. Fridge, microwave, extra sink and flat …
Worst Choice hotel I’ve seen since using this Hotel chain. Humid rooms; bed weirdly made up; stain on comforters; bad smell in a non-smoking room with a full ashtray sitting next to the room. Asked to change room so the lady (probably the owner) did with no problem. When we got into the room it was much better; beds were better made up and it seemed ok except the carpet wasn’t super clean so we kept our 2 kids on the beds. Our error; we went out right after check in for dinner and returned around 8 to put the babies to bed so we didn’t notice the stains on the comforters nor that the carpet was damped/wet near the bathroom. When we noticed around 8:30/9:00 with the kids being super tired we just decided to sleep it off. At check out the next morning I tried to tell the same lady and show her our issues with the room. She was understanding at first and after checking out the room; she started accusing us for the damage wet carpet. Saying that it was the first time she had issues with the room etc.... she even said that it must’ve been the bath overflowing; my boyfriend and I took two quick showers ????. At that point I began being really annoyed and frustrated with the lady as I was trying to let her know that it was NOT a Choice standard room and that she should assess the problem for future guests. Paying $170 for the room is way over paid and I wouldn’t pay more than $50 for this place. It’s rundown and bad smells all over. I do NOT recommend.
Very friendly check in and were able to accommodate us a bit earlier. Room was clean and beds were good.
frustrating weekend, we tried to get away for a relaxing weekend but it was difficult as things didn't go as planned at your hoted
It's an older place, drive up rooms. Located in a small town. The service was good and there were many convenient places within walking distance.
Quality inn thousand islands is a good place to stay. Good service and staff.
Ok, beds comfortable, cleaning is sub par, customer service sub par.
My boyfriend and I came from out of town very excited to be staying in the area. The customer service was horrible so as a result I am leaving a one star review even though I wish it was a 0 star review. It seemed like the manager & receptionist at the front desk had no intention in helping us. In the end of this they shrugged us off repeatedly and left us with no choice but to run around the area trying very hard to find a place to stay for our vacation. I was very disappointed in the service. We waited for 2 hours, and they still turned us away. They also told us that they couldn’t deal with our situation leaving us to call many phone numbers.
Very clean and organized. Easy to stay in. The breakfast provided was very good. Highly recommended.
great hotel with all the amineties.Spacious rooms and a huge parking lot. Enjoyed my stay a lot. Great breakfast had everything eggs, saugages, variety of breads, tea, coffee, jam peanutbutter, cream cheese, fruits waffles maple …
Staff were amazing..And so helpful...room was big and very clean.. Fanastic for the price. We will definitely stay there again!!!
For the price it's ok. It's not a Fairmount or a Four Seasons, but then again I didnt expect that. The rooms were clean, it was local to downtown Gananoque, and surrounded by whatever is is you need. Front desk staff was pleasant and quick to check me in.
the staff was polite and helpful, although after finding dead insects on the floor, we were moved to another room. Unfortunately the new room had stained sheets, and even the replacement sheets were stained as well. They did upgrade our room, but again the jacuzzi tub was not cleaned very well. Staff again was very polite and quick to try to correct the situation. Doubt I would return to this hotel.
The staff were helpful and kind, the room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the price was affordable. Will continue to stay here when needed.
Rooms were dingy and the bed sheets were not clean. Had to be moved to another room, which was not much better
Bill that was working the front desk when we arrived was amazing. The check out process was super simple and he made sure we were fully informed on where to go & what to do in town - he even gave us free plays at the casino! Great employee. The room was nice - not super modern, but clean & comfortable
I am in this area often for work, and have stayed at this hotel multiple times. The rooms are nice and the price is good. However, I do not recommend this hotel for winter stays. This is the second time, I've stayed at this hotel in the …
Clean. Comfy Bed. A/C worked great. Asked for late check out but still knocking on door at 11...pay attention to customer requests. See you next year!
Check-in front counter staff were good and friendly. A good night's stay at the hotel, we had reserved 3 rooms the rooms were pleased with the rooms, all 3 were in good shape and beds comfortable. However some details with regards to room …
Old but well cared for and clean. Breakfast was hot and cold choices. Daughter likes the make yourself waffles. Good hot coffee.lots of seating. Other visitors were friendly great start to he day ahead.
This is a nice property that is well maintained and updated. Gananoque has lots of nice local restaurants that deliver with recent additions of curry and pho outlets. It is my favourite place to recharge
Room was quiet and clean, bed was comfortable, staff friendly and helpful.
Extremely satisfied and happy that this property is pet friendly. Wait staff (dinner) were very nice and they were very friendly to our pet (we were seated in the patio area which was great). …
see my answer from before not very happy with the room in general.
My experience with this hotel was excellent. The room was in great shape and the hotel staff were great at there jobs and able to meet all of my needs. I would recommend it to anyone asking about the Quality
Front desk was courteous. Housekeeping was helpful. Room to park my truck and trailer. Beside McDonald’s and Tim Hortons. Rooms have everything you need.
We booked our rooms online. We told the booking agent that we had pets which we were told is fine but is an additional $25. We were also told they offer a CAA discount. We arrive to the hotel and he said there is no CAA discount because we booked through a 3rd party. When I tried explaining that when we were searching for hotels there was no direct #. He got so angry told us we aren’t welcome there, ripped up our contract and refused to give us a refund ($154/ room) We then had to find another hotel!
This is a large Hotel and lots of parking. We had a second floor and spent some time out on the second floor balcony. The room itself was a very large and spacious. The Jacuzzi especially pleased us. …
Beds - sagged, squeaked Fridge - broke overnight causing flooding in fridge, in room, ruining some of our stuff …
Average motel.. serves it's purpose. Staff were very friendly. One of the last motels to offer smoking rooms.
Good rates for a suite, some smoking rooms still available and they don’t stink . Good job in cleaning them . Overall for a mid range hotel I was very pleased.
Gananoque is only 15 minutes from Kingston and a good place to stay if you like peace and quiet. This well maintained location is easy to find off the 401, has nearby shopping, fast food and family dining. I've never had hockey teams …
Didn’t even get to stay! The guy at the front desk throw us out for asking too many questions. Guess it’s their loss 4 rooms for 3 nights. Don’t even give them a chance.
Offering more then any other Hotel, Very clean and convenient location , Good customer service ,Staff was very help full . Room is very comfortable .Overall its very good experience compare to other hotels. Next time will Visit for sure.
Bed was comfortable. Location convenient. Breakfast was good. Room very dimmly lite. Overall decor very tired especially bathroom. Price was high for what you got but seems that hotels in this area are high due to tourist demand during this season. Needs an overall facelift.
The staff were friendly and accomdating. The suite was large, comfortable and very clean. COVID-19 protocols were in place. The location was excellent. We will be back.
Service was good but the room was very dirty.
My husband and i have been going to Quality Inn for all our Anniversary's. Just celebrated our 25th. this past week and as always felt like we were visiting old friends. Food is great and staff very welcoming.
Many things not working in this hotel. Got back into the room at 5:30pm room still not done. Sink drain working so slow that it took about 10-15 minutes to drain a little water. Toilet keeps cycling through the night. Alarm goes off in the middle of the night. Location in the not so nice part of town. Breakfast is adequate and the usual fare. Bed was clean and comfortable. Take away for what we paid there was no value.
Hotel was clean, we ate at the restaurant and the food wasn't bad. We were in the main floor, and it just so happened we had the people from hell above us. Sounded like the ceiling was going to cave in. Sounded like kids running back and forth in the room. We actually had to call the front desk at 12:00 am for them to stop. My advise, If you stay here get a room on the second level. ????????
Greeted by very friendly staff. Check in was quick and all our questions were answered before we even asked. The room we were given was spotless but showing age. Cleanliness is most important to us and this definitely was very clean. …
Stayed there for 4 day Has a old man musty smell and no water pressure . Mattress is very old felt the springs in my back
We asked for the same room as last time. It was great. Went for breakfast this time. It was not so great.
Check in was easy and because of low staff or covid restrictions the frozen breakfast was given at the same time. The breakfast was ok. The room had tea/coffee coffee maker, microwave, etc., so, that's good. The room welcomes you with a strong smell of medical spray which tells they tried to sanitize. A room freshener could have been sprayed too. The rooms are bit old and dull but ok. The worst part was the sheets were stained, lots of mold on the AC went, around the photo frames and the bed headboard was probably not cleaned for months. Check the video for the amount of dirt on the headboard.
Old and needs attention to be updated and refreshed
The hotel is not to up to date as it seems an older hotel or building
The Quality Suites was a perfect choice for us. It was great to have two King beds in a one bedroom suite ... usually only have a pull out couch which is not very comfortable. The location was very handy, close to the highway and close to shopping and restaurants. Very pleased with the overall experience.
When we stayed we were at the end of our vacation and attending a family reunion. Most people were staying with the host family, but we chose to stay in a hotel/motel. Our experience with this particular hotel was a very pleasurable …
Not a great stay. We were initially delighted with the whirlpool tub in our room but when we started to fill the tub a great deal of sand came out of the taps and started collecting in the bottom. A great deal of sand. Overall the room …
Helpful staff, clean room/bathroom. Well used - could use refreshing. Doors closing on adjacent rooms causes vibration in your room.
