Remember to obey all the rules. STOP and listen to instruction each time you enter the area - even if you think you know how to drop off your waste. Otherwise expect a lecture. My lecture was without a mask, close up from an employee that walked to within 5 feet of my personal space. The lecture was fine. That attitude I could handle (generally speaking, as a vegan I get all kinds of attitudes as I protect vulnerable animals). But, the lack of mask was a statement!! I have been coming to this place to drop of food waste and grass clippings for months without any issue...great people and service. I may have misunderstood previous instructions - this time I thought I knew what I was doing. The rules had changed and I was wrong, obviously. A paper bag full of grass clippings....not being emptied should not be on the same level as a real disaster...like a *pandemic* and *wearing masks* for example. Take care.

Depositing a large volume of cardboard boxes would be more convenient and much easier if the bins were large and wide open so materials can be thrown in flat. Otherwise no problems getting rid of cardboard boxes.

Hardworking knowledgeable staff. Be kind and respectful and follow thier instructions. It's Safety First so make their jobs easier by knowing what can and can not be dropped off and when.

Why is it so hard to understand that people in this City work exactly the same hours you’re open. No weekends? C’mon, when are we supposed to be able to drop this stuff off? You want us to recycle and not dump, make it possible for us to do this

Drove for half hour to bring paint etc for recycling only to be told that it’s only acceptable Thursday’s and Saturday. Come on folks this is why we see dumping going on. What’s wrong with having an area beside the waste metal drop off where we can leave our paint cans etc.? Noe I have to cart it back home until I’m in Kingston on a Thursday or Saturday. Cheers!

Easy-peasy. Even in a line up, typically moves fast. Used to rent dump bins, way more efficient to come here. Great how they're open Saturdays too.

Just like any other place they have guid lines to fallow. That's why certain days they only accept certain things,Looking up on the website before going could save you tons of time. The people that work here day in and day out do there very best. And we need to get nice to them as it will make things easier for all of us. Great place to go. Ps there are others cities and towns that charge for brush drop off and recycle. So count us lucky people

Was told that prescription medication bottles (HDPE) were not accepted, despite the city of Kingston website indicating they are blue box items. Was told the symbol on the plastic "does not matter". I tried to save 200lbs of recycling from going to waste...

I've been taking things here for MANY years. I have always been treated well and the only time it is muddy is when there has been heavy rain. I think it would go against the principle of recycling to pave or carpet the place.
