You will see all the reviews of people like you who are using the products and services of Delta Scrap & Salvage (Scrap Yards) in Fort Smith (Canada).
At the moment the firm has a score of 3.4 over 5 and that score has been based on 123 reviews.
As you can see it has an average rating is average, neither too high nor too low, and it's based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may say that the score is very accurate. If people have bothered to rate when they are satisfied, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to place tatings when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Scrap Yards belongs to the category of Recycling center.
I went to shop.they have tons of cool stuff. From nuts and bolts to 10 ton press to 600 amp breakers
Unfortunately the people that work there are very rude.
(Translated) I think there must be some company or company that supervises the scales of these recyclers, they are stealing a lot of pounds. Lots of pounds. (Original) Creo que debe de haber alguna empresa o compañía que supervise las básculas de estas recicladoras, están robando muchas libras. Muchísimas libras.
They won't let other people that in your car can't get a brewol
Always a helpful staff and quick to get you on your way! I refuse to go to any other scrap/recycling facility.
I like this place in and out distance is good no waiting in line unless it's busy but otherwise one of the places I'll be going to
Always easy
They underpay incredibly bad. Checked online for the going price of what I brought in and they paid $3 less than that. Oh and The ladies behind the counter were rude.
What a crook, $1.65 per pound for crv aluminum cans and .32 cents for insulated copper wire. I asked the gentleman why so little he said because the gauge was so small I said what's the difference of 50 lbs. of 24 gauge wire and 50 lbs. of 6 gauge, surprise he didn't know. Given that people risk their lives to steal copper wire it's hard to believe the price s this thief pays for it, if you can find another place close by I suggest you go there.
Great experience! They were helpful, patient, and paid a fair exchange!
It is a dirty profession but the staff are helpful. Thanks crew for helping me.
Awesome - Skilled team of scrap dismantling, salvage and processing professionals provided high quality, safe and cost-effective services. They attend and delivered overall good.Customer Support and the Way of Dealing is also nice.
WONT GO BACK!!! the guy directing trafic told us we couldnt sort our recycling. But everyone else that was there was sorting! WHAT A JOKE!!!
Getting my money back from newsom. Lol
They steal 15% of loads of 150 pounds or more, on the 23rd they ripped me off by $71.17 by stealing 52 lbs of copper and 102 lbs of stainless steel
Straight rip off!! Never again!! Unless I'm going to talk to the hot chick behind the counter!
Easy and usually fast!
Lunch is from 11:30 - 12:30 yet at 12:45 with a very long line you don’t communicate to anyone that you’re still closed and why. Then with 1 door open people start to drive in only to be told to go back in line. Have some common courtesy advising people to wait until they are checked in on the mask sign in the front. Don’t leave 1 door open and expect people not to drive in way after lunch is over.
Great clean pleace!
Excellent place for recycling, as well as purchasing industrial equipment of all types, valves, Motors, Pumps and fittings of all types sizes and configurations. There is excellent selection of industrial electrical panels, plugs and connectors including large and small hand tools. No matter what you need, there's a good chance there's two or three of them out there military surplus or industrial scrap. Mike and Ken are two of them the most knowledgeable guys I have ever met in this industry. Are there frequently go there to Source various fittings and pieces for repair and redesign projects, their prices are fair with new inventory arriving by the hour. I suggest that if you see something you like buy it that minute. There's a good chance it will not be there the next day. They can be Dusty and dirty in the yard so wearing old or work clothes.
Excellent service and great set of Dump, although I would have preferred the quick Service
Love this place been going here for my recycling needs since I was kid with my parents now I go to them such a good recycling place
Sadly only place nearby to get money for your recyclables. They hid the amount of money you should get and pay you less than they are worth. Complained many times but they dont care. Only thing that makes it worth it was the sweepstakes drawing where you can get bonus money.
I would buy scrap back from Delta for repurposes to build something at home. I am sure there are useful sheet metals, rods, bars, plates , etc that can be cut to be used again instead of selling to the melt guys..at lower prices.. I understand that some may be contamined and cannot be repurposed.. for public safety and health , but there should be plenty that is perfectly safe to repurpose.. I like to use sheet metal of thin gauges for my projects.. Hell, you can build bird houses out of sheet metal! Just kiddin' but I want to buy some at reasonable prices.. Those you see at hardware stores are priced like a joke... 2x4 sheet metal thin gauge $20! you can sell same for $5 instead of selling to the melt guys for a quarter!! You can get rich at Delta ! Wake up !! Smell some coffee.. Advertise it and people will come and buy your clean scrap be it copper, aluminium, galvanized sheets, pipes, etc.. at lower prices than those at hardware stores.. Anything that is odd sized and cannot be repurposed can be sold to melt guys.. I have seen them all.. Washing machines and refrigerators have perfect sheet metals that can be skinned and resold to the public for repurposes.. just an example.. It is difficult to repurpose an old bath tub or a kitchen sink , for example.. I stripped off some sheet metal parts from my old appliances before having them picked up.. for recycling. I also stripped wire shelves from the refrigerator and those plastic drawers, too.. they can be reused..
Neh, not worth it. If I can find a better place I'll go. Staff is not people friendly at all, especially if you are new there and have some questions to ask. Not sure why some people are after the girl on the counter, all I care about is business.
Long line and wait...not fun when I got in their lot either. Long drag from my truck to the processing area. But done!
They make next to nothing on glass so they limit you to one barrel per trip. Big plus here is you don't need to remove the caps off bottles and you should empty the water out or you get hit with a "water factor". I can and will vouch for the weight masters... They have no reason to cheat. They're paid by the hour... The price on bottles is not arbitrary. Great people, the owner is in business though and may not categorize metals as much because it complicated... In closing I would say that most people don't get that or know he gives back to community in grants and scholarships. Been going there many years. Totally love the place.
Great service for recyclables. Downside is the dirt. Really very dusty in good weather, and muddy as heck in the rainy months. You have no choice but to track mud into your car. That's the only reason I don't give 5 stars. Update: Went this morning and was cheated out of about $9. Weight was figured wrong. By the time it's calculated, you can't dispute it as your cans have already been disposed of. Very disappointed.
Staff is great. Thanks scrapys.
Efficient system for processing drop-offs; fair rates paid; long lines during peak hours. Much faster/easier if you arrive earlier in the morning after they open
These people always hustle things along, they get you in and out quickly.
It's a recycling place so expect that. It's fine.
Customer service 2 thumbs down. I asked simple questions in English and the operator insults me in Spanish I know Spanish not cool !!.....
Only 100lbd max they take
I am beyond fed up right now. I spent a whole hour organizing my cans, bottles, and glass into different bins, that way when i showed up i wouldn't have to organize it when i showed up. I SHOW UP AT 4:15 AND THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY TO TELL ME NO MORE PEOPLE. YOUR WEBSITE SAYS CLOSES AT 4:20. THAT MEANS YOU CLOSE AT 4:20. NOT 4:15! I SPENT MY AFTERNOON WASTING MY TIME. AND WHO EVEN CLOSES AT 4:20?!?!?! NOT FUNNY AT ALL. DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE POINT BLANK PERIOD(.)
Check out these licensed demolition contractors if you are looking for quality services at cost-effective rates. They also offer hauling, furniture removal, yard cleanup, landscaping, and more.
Quick service. Takes aluminum, plastic, and bottles... At the least.
WARNING!!! This scrap company is as shady as they come. I brought in solid brass and was told I could only get scrap steel price because of a small dowel pin made of stainless. I've done business in several states and I've seen some bad businesses but nothing like them. UPDATE: I did my homework and found a scrap company that will give you a fair price. A bit of a drive but worth it considering I would have gotten screwed from these clowns. Aaron metals in Oakland is the best. I'd rather throw my scrap away than waste my time with Delta scrap and salvage. Bad karma coming their way........
Don't give you very much money for scrap copper
It's rusty gold heaven
Long wait but only place in the area. Staff is helpful
Lesson Learned! I ALWAYS read the reviews BEFORE going somewhere new to recycle my scrap because I have been screwed before by the apparently same type of greedy, dishonest, inconsiderate, and cheating business owners as this place is run by, at least according to all the negative reviews I have just read. Therefore, my experience to share is this: READ THE REVIEWS before you take the recyclables that you might work very hard at accumulating, to save yourself the heartache you would experience, such as those people who DIDNT read the reviews beforehand! This place is probably exactly as people say it is...a complete ripoff! Sounds like the place in Oakland has a lot of great reviews, so that's my next business to research before I waste my time and gas at my own expense and loss, if I was to make a bad decision. But of course, that's not gonna happen, because I work to hard and spend much free time picking up all the money people throw away into the trash, on our streets, in the bushes, and everywhere else lazy and inconsiderate people choose to discard their nickels and dimes instead of recycling their beverage containers with a CRV stamp on it. They see garbage. I see $$$ signs, and A LOT of them all over the place!! I have 50, Yes, I stated FIFTY, extra large 45 Gallon Heavy Duty bags, full of beverage containers to recycle now. I've been collecting these for the last 12 months or about the time Covid lockdown was initiated. I don't want to make a poor decision of taking them to a place like Delta, so I best continue my research if I'm to get the most money for my efforts in Keeping America Greater than those other dirty, unclean, poor, crime ridden countries like parts of Weidownt Resical, Republic of Phucoff or Whokares Distroi DaPlaunet, Puckface. These places are so bad, they fail to exist anymore. Is that what you want here? If so, just go to Delta. They will make it happen.
This place is is Shady. I don't recommend. I'd rather drive further and get more money. I do not recommend. STAY AWAY.
Ripoff only give you a third of value and don't tell you till it's to late to get it back
First of all very unfriendly staff that doesn't seem to care about the customers. Second, I brought 241 pounds of scrap metal which was 90% aluminum, I know this because I spent hours separating all the metals to get the most money I could. When I get there they tell me to put it ALL in one bin, so I figured I had just wasted my time separating. When they paid me the receipt said the material was steel which is the most inexpensive metal there, so I got $7... I wanted to take it all back but they had already dumped the metal somewhere else. Lesson learned, check the reviews first I guess...
Worst place ever with the rudest staff!!! And they rip you off!! Avoid at all cost!!
The service was pretty fast but the place is on the dirt to get inside. It is dusty
Workers there are friendly and helpful. Love the vibes.
Good experience except for the mud and dirt. If you’re going to say somewhere else does better on the pricing then how about giving the location. Does no one any good to say they rip you off and not provide a better priced location.
drive 5 more mins to and you'll get alot more money theses ppl rip you off
Showed up the same time as another guy, some guy that barley spoke English yelled at me and said they were closed for lunch, made us leave while they helped the other guy that showed up at the same time!!!! What a joke! Never going again. What dicks!
The workers are very helpful. They keep the line of cars & people moving at a safe pace.
Fast and friendly staff.
Horrible recycling center. Must have all recycling separated before arriving. I'm. It spending money on extra bags to sort through at my house just to throw away new bags for you to have separated. Never getting my business again. I'd rather drive the extra ten minutes to concord. TRASH
$1.63 for aluminum cans $1.10 for stripped copper $0.28 for unstripped copper
needs to stay open every day
(Translated) It was my first time recycling in this place ... and the LAST time you see, they are thieves, I think that the cans I carried were enough for them to only pay 21 dlls. ???????????? talk to other people about this and they tell me they stole from me. ???? I will never go back to that place of those rude people and thieves.
Want to scrap a car shell that has been cut into multiple pieces. They won't even look at it.
Excellent
Excellent the greeter was cordial.
This place is robbing everyone. Admittedly I didn't check their rates but I have never had an issue anywhere else. Go to Aaron's metals no matter how far away they are. Lesson learned.
Fast and Friendly!!
Don’t waste your time going to Delta Scrap In Oakley. Just pure Rip Offs!!! Save your time and money and drive to Pittsburg or Concord where you’ll find some honest people and honest prices.
went there the first time, allowed sorting no issues.. noticed I got jipped based on what i had because it is always about the same when I go. got more than $10 less than I normally get. Plus this time they didn't allow me to sort even though last time they did. very upset.. They could have said ok next time please do it. WILL NEVER GO BACK>>
Nothing has changed. Still a rip-off joint. I was offered $1.05 per pound #1 copper, had done my research and knew that was bs, took it to Concord and $2.18 per pound. Thanks to the homeless dude recycling cans who saw what I had and said I’d be better off taking it to Concord. I love to support local business but this place .....no.
Quick and efficient.
Fair
