Totally ripped off!!! Weighted the coppers before coming to this place. They weight 18 pounds off what it was weighted before coming there. Will never come back here. Lemont’s Scrap Yard is much a friendly people and honestly! They cheated with their weigh machine! News flash! They make more money than we expected by bringing the scraps to another places! You better weigh your stuff before going there or better off go another places such as Lemont.

Called to get quote for aluminum and was given price, showed up and after loading it they went less. I complained and they didn't care. All the work of loading I wasn't going to load back up so I dealt with it. They didn't let me see scale which is an integrity issue. After they loaded my aluminum, I went into side door as they directed me and two employees, not wearing masks, were working behind sign that said, "No mask, No service". I left with receipt in hand knowing I wouldn't return when I see the cashier Jose, decided to have fun making fun of my weight. Added comment to my receipt. I called the owner to ask why and was told by owner, "my English no good." No sir, your business is no good. Go to Elk Grove Village or Des Plaines, cleaner and more reputable.

Read the reviews before you go! This place will rip you off! They weighed a 130 pound piece at 13 pounds and my 17 year old son was too shy to say anything about it. DO NOT GO HERE. They have no problems taking advantage of the customer.

I called the place in the morning and was told I they could buy my aluminum sidings for 40 cents per pound. After arriving and personally unloading all my sidings, it wasn't until i was getting my money that they changed it to 28 cents per pound. I was lied to, ripped off and when I confronted them they told me "Well today they're cheap". Like the price changes within hours?

Sucks they take more time becuase the forklift didnt have room to put our metal things but take someone else's and like forgets that you even exist we even told him and still forgets just does someone's else who came after you even if you finish thier thier metal box thing is too small to fit more scrap metals.
