Even during this pandemic and stricter policies, this place & it's people run smoothly and efficiently. Fewer visits means more build-up of recyclable containers, and they still move people through quickly. There may be line-ups outside later in the day, but even at 2 p.m. everyone was queued inside. Too Many They refuse service It was my first time, and it will be my last. As soon as I enter I've been asked, not by talking, but by SHOUTING, if i have more bags, then they refuse me to go get them and been asked to leave. This is an outrage. If this location is only 1-2 bags friendly, then they should advertise it, not throw out ordinary people trying to do their part for the environment. Unless you have few avoid this place, they don't seems to want to work. Spread's the news, this place don't give service. Why they even have a license?

The woman working the front door was incredibly rude; I had to adjust the grip I had on my bags and she snapped multiple times. They're encouraging multiple people coming into the building instead of allowing one person to grab all of their bags

Great covid-19 protocols for your bottle/can returns. Be patient and the lines move quite fast. Try the drop and go also if you don't want to wait as long. Staff are incredibly helpful and very friendly.

We went to Avalon Sarcan today to use the Drop and Go. The young lady at the front door, directing the people, showed us where to get our tags, etc. It was our first time using this service. She was absolutely wonderful........ So pleasant and helpful ! Thank you ❤️ The Drop snd Go service was quick and the gentleman at the back, taking the bags, was also very kind and efficient. A recycling depot with more counters. Bigger than the one in south. Still as efficient as them. Friendly staff and fast service. A bit more noisy but it is ok as they are mostly busy.

I had the poorest experience ever. I never been to SarCan before, today I was there but the guy in front of the door was so rude and he wouldn't let us in. Including me, there was two more people standing outside. It was -31 feels like outside. And we stood there for over 20 minutes. Why you giys couldn't give shelter to the people? They're your customers. If the person who was in the front would stand outside like us for 20 minutes in -31, he'd know how we felt. The service was penniless and this was a terrible experience. I'll never ever come again. I'd highly prefer the SarCan in industrial drive, at least the people who works there are treating their customers well. (For the person who's reading this, we all were standing outside and no customers were inside at that time.)

I used Drop & Go at this location without any problems. I did not step in a single sticky spot and the place also smelled less unpleasant than other SARCANs. It seemed pretty roomy, too, for whatever that's worth. Too bad I rarely have any business on the east end since this just might be the best Drop & Go facility. Google Maps doesn't make it very easy to find the place, though, since it shows the marker on the wrong building. This facility isn't quite on the service road - it's embedded in a parking lot on the west side of Giant Tiger.

Customers sent to available lines by efficient "ushers". Drop all your containers, then stand back. Plastics + cans are separated, disappear. Tabulation done, then go to nearby line for collection. Meanwhile, floors and counters are being constantly cleaned. There is a sign outside but the lettering for SARCAN needs to be enlarged. Not visible from Circle Drive. The Jasper Ave. Street sign needs to be moved to intersection.

Unfortunately the brand new location has a different set up than all the older locations. The new sorting bins definitely seem to slow the whole process down which is the last thing anyone wants when returning empties. Will be going to other locations again the future.

The fastest, most friendly, accurate SARCAN in town! I've traveled from other side of the city to this location even though I've been closed to other locations. They are always so friendly and work ethic second to none! Ive gone in with $150.00 in cans/bottles and only took 20-30 minutes! This is a very special place mainly because of the staff! They really know what they're doing! Maybe the best ran buisness I've seen in a very long time! ???? Keep up the great work you all! And thanks for the wonderful service...

Only reason they get 1 star is the people who collected recycling were respectful and courteous. But I feel they miscoubted as I brought in 2.5 bags of my regular large insulation bags full to the north and recieved $190.00. I brought 3.5 of the same bags to the east location on vic Ave and only received 141.00. There was a mistake made and can't see the north making such a substantial mistake when I brought in less but got more... still waiting to hear for my call back from them reviewing the video although not sure what they can determine from that. I was spoken very rude to to when I discussed the situation that I have brought less bags to the north location but got more and don't see how they would have made such a big mistake then have one of the employees at register tell me if I dont like the service go to the north. I now thanks to that comment I will be taking my recycling to the other location as they don't talk rude or make mistakes like what I believe has happened!

I recently had a negative experience with Drop &Go. I dropped off 8 bags of recyclables and only received about half the refund I expected. I emailed Sarcan on January 18 about my concerns and included a photo of the receipt. An automated reply was sent and I have not been contacted even though 7 business days have passed. Drop&Go may be fine for small quantities of recyclables

AS others have said, MOST of the staff is very good. however being someone that actually pays attention to how much i bring and what i should be getting back, i really think they need to work on their counting. had to go back for the proper change last time and this time the guy counted wrong so i couldnt do anything. being friendly is not as important as good service.

Aside from the long wait times and occasional line cutters who were quickly exiled for their crimes against humanity, SARCAN PA has been handling this post-Covid-closure-reopening thing remarkably well. There are workers keeping the lines outside organized and fair, the inside is kept sanitized and cleaned after every customer, everyone you meet is in good spirits amidst all the hustle and bustle. This is a great example of a professional and organized business. Good job everyone at SARCAN! You guys deserve some mini vacations after the nonstop work you've been doing!

My mother and I visited the location together. We were right behind one another and somehow I was threw and bringing in another load as she was still waiting. The counter must of been meticulous cause he was organizing and separating and counting then re counting. ???? .. I was lucky enough to talk to a very friendly Red Head who was directing traffic who had no problem helping us get threw and out of there with enough time to grab coffee before work. So cheers to the red head thanks again !

And also I will not drive 4 kms to bring one bag that gets me 4$, costs me more gas to bring it than money I get back. Sorry that it grew mold while I was gone. I recommend the drop and go If you can wait a couple of days for etransfer or PayPal. 15-20 min with 10 big bags. At the kiosk type in your phone/acc num and print the number of stickers for how many bags you need. Stick on the bags and bring around back.

This is the WORST sarcan location I have been to in the city, with the least friendly and personable staff I've ever encountered. I get that these are different times we live in nowadays, but instead of being considerate and accommodating, I was greeted with hostility and inconcideration. I was turned away one day 40 minutes before closing time, and a second time because the lineup reached the "liquor store property" with my big bin of glass recyclables. Instead of being mad at me and bossing me away, the staff member could have been more understanding and helpful. I'm never coming back to this location, and would not recommend it either, if you have better options.

Amazing. I didn't know actually you can take old electronics or old paint in cans... You would have to go around and in the back of the building there ls a door with a tiny ""green button "" you just press it and is like a door bell. And they will assist you.

I went to this location for the first time and was ushered in by someone. He was very polite. I went to empty cans into the bin and was done when the lady behind the counter started yelling at me to move back. I did not hear her very well with her mask on but she kept on yelling at me to move back repeatedly when finally i caught what she was saying. Signs should be posted at the front counter. Also the couple next to me had all there bags of cans at the front counter and were being yelled at to move the bags back.
