Here's a real review,
First off this place is not a local company, They are American and pay less than other local yards.
I Called ahead to get a quote on scrap E-waste. i collated my inventory and proceeded to load up the truck with my neighbour and cash in nearly 500 lbs of material. The most valuable inventory by weight being Laptops, and Transformers.
When i got there i was informed that half of my inventory was not sellable.
the 200lbs of laptops quoted at $1/lb dropped from $200 to a whopping $0 Nada, Zilch.
Lithium batteries of which i had another 55lbs were now unsellable
The 80lbs of Transformers without the wire were now entirely worthless as they no longer bought transformers!
Motherboards became $.50/lb instead of $.99 and i had nearly 40lbs of them.
The shiesters even tried to buy RAM chips at $.12/lb. At it's lowest quality complete RAM is worth $2.50/lb!
The biggest return was on tails from Power Supply Units and the buyer had the beans to tell me he was doing me a "favour" by purchasing them as "Harness wire"...Power supply cable IS harness wire you dolt!
I get prices change, and management cancels trades with big buyers, It is annoying but is happens. However when you insult my intelligence by telling me you are doing me a solid when all you are really doing is business as usual. you immediately lose all respect and business from me.
If you have E-waste sort it by the hundreds of pounds and ship it to EDI. If you have non ferrous scrap take it to Williams.
Avoid this place unless you just stole a barge load of scrap cars. then you might be able to buy a lunch for two after you cash in.
