The trucks have certified scales so I was comfortable paying over the phone - I was out of province at the time. Super quick and friendly staff came by today to pick up a bunch of stuff we had in the yard. Rate we were charged was less than I expected from the quick eyeball quote they provided when we had them come by while they were at a neighbors. It was quite reasonable compared to what I paid at a well known competitor. Nice that they use scales on the truck instead of just eyeball charging at the end so the costs are more tangible and consistent to what you send out. They even took my old paint cans which saved me a ton of time! Will definitely use again.

Great experience. This is the 2nd time I've worked with Atlas, and they continue to impress me. I had an appointment booked for noon, by 1PM I hadn't heard anything (my mistake: when you book you're given a 2 hour window, so my window was noon-2PM). Called and got a quick polite response indicating they were a bit behind. Had a personal call from the person coming to pick up my junk a few mins later and communicated that they were running a little behind and confirmed that they'd be at my place by 2PM. 2:15 or so they called apologetically indicating sorry for the delay and they'd be by momentarily. Within 10 mins they were at my door collecting my junk. Talking to the two guys it was clear they had a job prior to mine where the person was a little "light" on their estimate of stuff to remove and that was the reason for the delay. Was truly appreciative of the fact they A) apologized multiple times for the delay, and B) were transparent in the reasoning. Within 20 mins all my junk was gone. Truly appreciative of the effort and service Atlas employees do. Price was very reasonable as well. Highly recommended.

Great customer service is something that everyone talks about, but few actually provide. These guys deliver. I would definitely hire them again, and I'd 100% recommend them to my friends, and to my family (and already have... despite them having just left 5 minutes ago!). Don't rent a van/truck, call a friend, and take it to the dump yourself - I've done this, and its not just annoying and time consuming, but I probably ended up spending more trying to save a few bucks. HIRE THESE GUYS ASAP! It's easy, they give ridiculously good service, they're super friendly, and they're very reasonably priced. At least call in and ask for an estimate; I imagine they can't always be right on, but they gave me an estimate within 5lbs of the actual weight. When the growing season this year started in April I was caught very off guard. So I quickly raced to get the garden and lawn cleaned up only to find myself with way too much stuff to easily get rid of. The backyard has two sets of stairs to get into, so not easy to get big loads down. In addition to that, I had a broken washer that had been making its home on the covered porch for far too long. So I decided to get rid of everything in one swoop. Atlas made the process very easy to begin online-- a quick estimate and an upfront description of what they could haul away (practically anything). Aaron and Wes gave me a heads up before they arrived, and when they did they were friendly and courteous. They quickly got rid of the piles of weeds, soil and grass I'd made-- and the washer too. Super efficient and quick. I really appreciated it. They were game to haul away some junky scrap wood and metal from along the side of the house too. Wes and team removed a couple of large truckloads from my mother's estate this week, and we couldn't be happier. These guys were unusually courteous and effective in the face of the chaos of at least 27 people (yes, no exaggeration!) coming and going through 8000 square feet of home on one acre of property in Oak Bay, in a mad scramble to pack up the estate after 43 years of accumulation. Wes' communication was pleasant, straightforward, and timely. He handled it all in stride and was flexible and accommodating in the midst of the mayhem. These gentlemen even cleaned up after junk removal in a way I have never seen done before. They made this incredibly difficult process of moving my mother out of her beloved estate so much easier with their compassion, excellent listening skills, hard work, and honesty. Hire them! Excellent service and execution. I booked easily over the phone, they showed up on time (and gave a call 1/2 an hour ahead to make sure someone would be there to receive them), and they got the job done. One aspect I really liked is that they charge by weight (they have trucks that have built in weigh scales). In my case his estimate of what it would cost (based on my description) was bang on, and very reasonable. And then finally payment was really easy - I received the invoice by email, and did the payment online. I highly recommend Atlas.
