(Translated) It is always a pleasure to go to the ecocentre to bring our various things to throw away or recycle. On the other hand I do not understand why there is no more container when we are going to throw away our things I do not understand suddenly how they can save this way (Original) C'est toujours un plaisir d'aller à l'écocentre pour amener nos diverses choses à jeter ou recycler.
The wait time to drop off your recyclables is a put off. I'll reconsider my options next time I have some old electronic equipment to dispose of.
Read reviews about impossible wait times and staffing issues, showed up this morning 9am Saturday, kind and courteous manager at the gate, let me right in, dumped off a pile of broken Ikea furniture and a monster CRT tv set, took all but 15 min drop off included! 5 star no joke
Open 10am. But the guess. No contners Open late after 10:20 suck
(Translated) Long queue. 90 minutes between St Patrick and the reception booth. Had I known, I would have brought food. It should always be open on Sunday, not just Saturday. (Original) Longue file d’attente.

(Translated) The wait is super long. Only go there if you have plenty of time.
Some staff are very uneducated with low customer service standards.
Long wait times. 3 hrs is too long.
Convenient location, helpful staff, well organized areas makes for quick visits. Essential to have an accessible area to discard dangerous products, and this place does the job.
On November 14, 2020 at around 3 pm I went all the way from Plamondon to this écocentre to return 6-7 styrofoam containers (as apparently they are not acceptable at my local écocentre on Côte-des-Naiges) and 3 sofa cushions. After seeing the lineup of véhicules stretching 300 meters from the gate (per Google maps) of the écocentre and carrying construction debris and other big, bulky and heavy items I got off the car, took the cushions and the containers in hand and walked to the écocentre to drop them off. Three (3) employees were standing close to the gate and next to a few big metal containers, chatting and doing nothing, while there were 20 to 40 vehicles waiting outside. When they saw me enter they asked what I was doing there. I explained that I just wanted to leave the recyclable materials there and leave. To which I was told that I had to go back, to wait in line. I asked them what they were doing and why they could not just take the items, or show me where to dump them and be off. Now the answer was that I was not smarter than everyone else who were waiting in line and that I had to go back to my car. I told them that I was already there and suggested that I just leave the items there. To that they started raising their voice shouting that this will be illegal dumping, that I had to go back to my car and if I were to leave the items on the container they will take a picture of my car and fine my $1,000 for illegal dumping. At that point a fourth employee (I assume a supervisor) came out of the nearby building asking what the issue was. His colleagues told him that I was trying to cut the line and illegally dump the recyclable materials in the depot. The newly arrived supervisor also told me to go back to my car. When I asked him what were the four of them doing and that in the time we argued they could have directed me where to leave the recyclables he became furious and without a mask came to less than a meter from me screaming that I should leave the premises. I asked him politely to keep his distance and to lower his voice with no effect. He continued screaming for maybe a minute. I picked up the recyclables and left through the gate. Two of the employees followed me all the way to my car (see pictures). At a certain point their supervisor appeared at a high point overseeing the road where the line of waiting cars was and continued shouting. After I got to my car and left the reciclables inside I got my phone (I had left it in the car) and took the pictures attached here. At this point the supervisor screamed that they should take a picture of my license plate. I had nothing to hide so I left them do it. I don't think that I will be recycling anymore, having witnessed the quality of service and the attitude of the personnel at the écocentre. I'd gladly file an official complaint against these employees, but unfortunately I do not have their names, I do not think that this would change anything, and I don't want to waste my time with this futile exercise.

(Translated) I got there around 3:40 p.m. and left around 5:40 p.m. Per 20 liters of used French fries oil. I would like to know nothing about them (Original) Je suis arrivé là ba vers 15:40 et je suis parti vers 17:40. Pour 20 litres d’huile de frites usagé. Je voudrais rien savoir de eux

Good place to drop off scrap and hazardous household waste, but they require a proof of residence (understandable for a free municipal service) but they can be picky about what ID they'll accept and they tend to be nosy (they'll look at you funny for bringing in large quantities of certain items). You're limited to either 12 carloads or 6 vanloads for stuff, so if you want to drop off stuff that's either too small to be worth the trip or too large for them to accept, you're going to Century Steel for scrap metal or an electronics store that does recycling for electronics junk.
Overall pleasant experience. We were told which deposit gates to go to for our stuff but we still forgot. Thankfully the staff and the demonstrations helped (11 for rubber and water folter, 15 for electronics and styrofoams, large table for batteries, light bulbs, etc). It wasn't very busy when we dropped by (sunday early afternoon). I do recommend that several households put their stuff together to be taken there and deposited, that would have saved so much time, energy and fuel!

(Translated) Sometimes a lot of people waiting, because many people can access the restricted site (Original) Parfois beaucoup de gens en attente, car nombre de personnes pouvant accéder au site restreint
We had to wait on the line for about 10 minutes, besides that everything was ok.
Great place to take stuff to get recycled/disposed. I went to get rid of some paint cans (which are not supposed to go to regular trash), I apparently parked in the wrong "station" and the paint guy sort of rudely told me I'm not supposed to park there, it was for a few seconds, and I told him there were no demarcations on the ground in front of the paint station, so I did not know where else to park. Better signage and customer service would be appreciated.
Smooth, no line

Good place to dump your junk stuff for free????. It's best not to show up at opening time ( busier).
(Translated) Very long queue of almost stationary cars, but with the engine running (during the 45 minute wait)!
I go there whenever I have recycling collected that can not go into the bin. They are always helpful and friendly. There are different spots for all types if building materials, metals, electronics, #6 Styrofoam and plastics, paints, oils, solvents, lightbulbs that need to be recycled, etc. It is easy to get to so I don't understand why people can't just bring their stuff there instead of leaving it on the street. The hours are great too. I am grateful that LaSalle has such a place. On top of that it's FREE. What more can you ask for !!
I arrived 20 minutes before opening and waited for 2h... Surely there is a better way to manage this place.
Not super impressed with this place. All the labeled bays seem arbitrary (no signs or labels for specific kinds of recycling) I was told 8 is for cardboard and 9 is for plastic, but they both contained the same mix of stuff. Polystyrène and electronics are also accepted here. Wait time is quite long (30mins) if you come in the morning
(Translated) It's a real joke ... so ineffective. Talk to me about covid because it's been like that for years. If this was my business there would be a lot of people losing their jobs. Sorry, but that really doesn't encourage people to recycle.
Very quick and easy.
Horrible service. I got there with a truck load of stuff, it was 5:50. I drove 30 minutes to get to this location. In the end, the guy working there(Thursday evening) refused me and said they were closed. Good job, thx????????????????
(Translated) It's very well managed, thank you (Original) C est tout a fait bien gere, merci
There was a small line up before registration. Very smooth run. Very well organized. Good to have the ecocentre in this location.
The place I go to when I can't get it done at the other ecocenter
Staff are cool but the people who come here are trailer trash Quebecois cocksukas, almost got into a fight twice. Maybe 3rd time is the charm.
(Translated) Fast and effective. Well located. Courteous staff. (Original) Rapide et efficace. Bien localisé. Personnel courtois.
For the stuff you don't know where to recycle, this is the place. They also take styrofoam!, electricals, electronics, plastics, metals, wood, plasterboard, old windows and doors etc, and you just drop it off into the individuals containers. Oh yes, paints, glues, sealants – in fact, they have a place for everything, although furniture and such stuff is usually taken by other city services.
(Translated) Quick, easy and convenient. (Original) Rapide facile et pratique.

I called at 15:45 and they told me that they were closing at 16:00 instread of 18:00 due to full bins ????. Rude staff, totally don't care about citizen, aknowledge that they early close most of the time. Sadly, this place used to be a top notch service to the population
Good for the environment
2 hour wait, no one seemed to want to hurry anything up
(Translated) Today our experience has been disastrous! The gentleman at the reception booth STRUGGLED us because we arrived at 5:54 p.m. to drop wood and branches. He refused to open the barriers. Finally he opened the barrier and refused to show us the container where to dump the wood. We had to find it on our own! Deplorable behavior.
(Translated) Arrived on site at the Lasalle ecocentre at 3:45 pm, after 15 minutes of waiting, I got kicked out because there was no more room like many others after me. It was my second attempt. Then they will be surprised that there are so-called wild deposits. When will the city act ??? (Original) Arrivé sur place a l'ecocentre Lasalle a15h45, après 15 minutes d'attente, je me suis fait retourner parce qu'il n'y avait plus de place comme plusieurs autres après moi. it would be great if the opening hours were at least until 7 pm
Rude employees and very disorganized.
(Translated) Open even on Sunday. At the reuse center, you can find ceramics and sinks still in excellent condition, doors to be reused of all kinds, an Ali Babba cave. (Translated) terrible queues .. winter opening hours due to covid19 ??? Do Canadian Tire and other businesses open with winter hours on them? (Translated) Editable displays above each location should be better used. What does "CRD RECY" mean? Much wind to the cardboard. There are some who go in the wind. When you bring in packaging for electronic devices, there is styrofoam and cardboard. Perhaps provide a "combo" for the cardboard next to those provided for the Styrofoam. The staff are very nice, no complaints on this point.

Want to experience Soviet service under Stalin? Then this city-run establishment is the place for you. The workers' attitude is so lazy, condescending and unhelpful that the biggest signs you see ask that there be no "verbal violence" towards the employees. The City should overhaul the management of this important public service but I am not holding out much hope...
Ok
