So disappointing brought my daughter here to recycle pop cans she collected. She is working on an eagle required Merit badge. We got there as they were closing. We were not the only people there nor were we the last people to leave. The lady in the front office was so rude. She said "can someone just sign the paper we are closing" as I was instructing my daughter to sign the paper. I explained to the lady I was teaching my daughter responsibility. The whole thing took us less than 5 minutes to pull in unload and collect. The lady in the office obviously felt those 5 minutes were not worth the life lesson my daughter was learning by collecting and recycling. We willing not be back again. We will be going to Belson for all our recycling needs. Disappointed

I just completed a liquidation of the old Sears Distribution Center in Manteno IL. 1.4 millions square feet facility. It took 7 months to complete. This job was no small challenge. On top of buying and selling the pallet rack, conveyor, and mezzanine with more than 250 truckloads, to dismantle, sell, and ship. I had to scrap more than a million pounds of steel, some copper and some alumninum. We had 8 rooms going at the same time. On some days, shipping 20 trucks a day. On top of that, a drop dead date. If all equipment wasn't off the property on time, disaster. Doors would lock me out. Thank goodness River Valley Recycling was there committed to keep us on schedule as truckload after truckload of drop offs, open top trailers, box trailers, tall sided open top bins, and flatbed all were co-ordinated with precision to keep us on track. On top of that, it was a learning experience for me concerning scrap and coordination of all trucks coming and going.
