The best return for your recyclables. The staff is fast, you’re in and out ASAP. If you’re new at recycling, ask a staff member for guidance, they will help you. I’ve heard people say the staff is rude, they’re focused and will respond as politely as you address them...I’ve witnessed lots of folks talking down to the staff plenty of times, these guys work hard so please treat them with respect...they will treat you with respect as well.

back in 2009 I brought in about 200 pounds of crushed cans and they asked me where I got the cans from and they started inspecting random cans looking for the CA CRV writing and gave me some suspicious looks. Where did I get so many cans? how about the ground on the side of the road..parks everywhere. I was kind of mad so I never went back. 200 pounds of cans is alot but there us no reason to inquisite me

This is the place my wife usually takes our recyclables. They help her out with carrying our recyclables to the cans and usually give a good payout depending on how much you bring in. Everyone there is friendly and helpful.

Went on a Friday and was very busy, staff was very friendly and helpful. Brought a truck load of cardboard and received $7.80 not sure that is very feasible but we just wanted a way to get rid of so much cardboard. I had read reviews of this place and I was glad my experience was a good one.

I was in and out fast today looked like they hired more people to help the people who come in with all there recyclable mixed together. "People" you need to sort your cans and plastic before you get to modesto junk. Trust me I never sorted my stuff before. I do now and I'm in and out fast. And if it wasn't for "NiKi" at modesto junk I wouldn't have even thought about leaving a review thanks again NiKi for giving me the flyer about leaving a review on yelp or Google reviews.

I have been here several times. I like the convenience of driving up to the big blue barrels and pouring the cans and plastic. You can do glass as well. The first time I saw the conveyor belt was confusing especially when the guy took the barrel, I thought to myself: I didn't weigh the cans. I noticed that is their scale. After that it is business as usual. The staff is friendly. They do have an interesting statue of a metal man. I will be going back to recycle again with them.

I take a garbage bag of 2 lieter bottles here once a month and always get more than what I expected for them. I am in a wheelchair, have an ostomy and am in constant pain, and the staff at Modesto Junk ALWAYS go out of their way to help me quickly and I am out of there in very decent time. I have been to one other recycling place here in Modesto a couple of years ago, and it was nasty, understaffed, and next to impossible to get the staff to even look at you much less help you. I am a 100% loyal Modesto Junk recycler now. Thanks for making it easy for handicap people, you are 1 of the very few business es in Modesto that actually go out of their way to help disabled people. I wish I had alot more hands so I could give you guys more than just 2 thumbs up...LoL ????

Wasn't very helpful and though my receipt says my barrels were weighed, I didn't actually see them get weighed. They were just thrown on the convayor belt. My old place got shut down and I got more for less there than what I sent in today. Not sure if I'll return.

Great price for cans and great service. One time a guy stole a bag of cans from my bin while i was turned around. An attendant promptly informed me and said they would review the camera recording. They called me that afternoon and told me the video did show the theft, and they sent me a check in the mail to cover it! Thanks Modesto Junk!

I absolutely love Modesto Junk Co.! They are conveniently located on 9th St between major intersections L and O, which is perfect for me. Every time I come there, whether I have 1 bag or 10 bags of recycles, they always help me out. The workers are friendly, and when parking is a hassle, they guide you so you can get parked in a timely manner. They pay fairly, and are my go-to for recycling!

I took a 16 pound bag of cans to modesto junk that i previously wayed on my friends company scale that he uses every day and calibrates regular and modesto junk weighed and showed me that it was 14 pounds when i took my paper work to the pay window i was confussed and they rushed me out real fast slamming their window in my face so ilooked over my reciept they paid me for 7 pounds . I tried to question the man who helped me he told me i had to step aside he was working with another costumer ,I asked him again he told me if i had a problem then i haveto take it up with someone else i got no where i was told i had to leave.I will never use modesto junk again there a rip off spread the word if you read this thank you.
