So far they give better pricing on scrap than some other locations. In a tight spot but hardly busy. There always pleasant. On your 6th visit you get an extra .05 per pounds.

Great place to take scrap steel, alum, copper, old pool heaters, awning hardware, storm panels you don't donate and even electronics. The Liberty website has all the info. We break ours down & separate - gets you credit for each type of material. Customer service is good. Usually plenty of friendly workers to point you in the right direction & give you a hand. If need be, park on the north side of the street and inquire where to go at the LOADING DOCK NEXT TO THE PAY WINDOW. Process is fairly quick. Pays well. It is an industrial neighborhood with some road debris so DO TAKE CARE with where you drive & check your tires after visiting - nature of the beast. ;)

I can't really give a proper review because I never made it inside the gate. There are definitely things potential customers should know. I tried to go there when Palm Beach Metal Recycling was randomly closed and I was pulling a 16ft trailer full of clean steel. First off, this place is in the GHETTO. It's right off Tamarind, which by far the highest crime area in PBC. In fact, as I was driving down Tamarind, the car in front of me stopped in the middle of the road and a rather unsavory looking gentleman approached the passenger side from the sidewalk. The passenger and the man made some sort of "exchange." Yeah. Seriously. Obviously, Liberty can't help what goes on in their neighborhood, and perhaps it was a better area decades ago when they opened, but you will want to bring your friends Smith & Wesson if you should choose to go here. The other thing to mention is that the place is VERY small, which is why I never made it inside. I couldn't find an entrance through which I could fit with my trailer, and many customers lined the narrow streets, making them extremely difficult to navigate. It certainly didn't look like they were set up to handle a 5000lb load of steel. I could be wrong, and the people there may be fantastic, but those two factors were enough to send me home with a full trailer. I just thought this information might save someone a trip.
