These people are out right crooks. I took some scrap there once that I had weighed on two different scales and both showed well over 110 pounds. When they weighed it their scale said only 80 pounds and they took it away and into a large bin before I even saw the amount. These types of places are notorious for ripping people off. The people giving them good reviews must be their employees. Weigh your scrap before you take it to anybody and don't let them take it until you are satisfied with the deal.

Scaler lady coped an attitude right off the bat. Then tried too rob me for my copper offering .60cents.. I went to kc iron and metal and got MORE THEN DOUBLE what they offered 5 minutes away. Theives is all Langley's is.

Well on a personal note I very much like the people who work there. They're very friendly, and they operate at a relaxed pace but get things done quickly, they know exactly what they're doing, they all seem to ht studied Metallurgy maybe in the College of Hard Knocks, but they know their metals.

Dusty and dirty don't wash your truck before you go there if your in a semi you will need too when your done though, sharp jagged metal everywhere a tires best friend. But awesome people there from the loaders to the office personell.

Just commenting on a few reviews about being crooks due to weights supposedly being off. First and only thing All scrap yard scales are regulated by The Missouri Department Of Agriculture Weights And Measures. No yard in there right business sense will or even can use uncaloprated scales to rip anyone off for weight and take money out of a customers pockets. No need cause there making money without ripping people off. It's not worth the fine or being shut down for bad scales.

From the first guy I spoke with on the phone, then the young lady behind the counter, to the guys out in the yard, everyone was helpful. I didn't know what the hell I was doing and they guided me through the process. A big time operation, but willing to help out the little guy with a small load. I recommend Langley Recycling for your metal scrapping needs.

Langley doesn't rip us totally off, Like City Scrap in lees summit does. Plus, Langley unloads your scrap metal with a crane and electron-magnet--At city scrap you have to unload by hand, and Back onto the scale, twice. At Langley, we drive straight in across the scale, and straight out across the scale.

I have been going to Langley Recycling for years, in Topeka, Ks and when it closed I started going to Langley's in KC. They always were fair in their prices, but when I went last week they had changed their pricing. I found this out after I brought 280+ pounds of dismantled computer recycle. Things that the had been paying $1.50+ per pound was a flat $0.35 a pound. The manager said this is their new way. Do not take e-recycle there!!!!
