Here we offer you all the reviews of real people like you who used the products and services of Atlas Metal and Iron Corp. Aurora (Scrap Yards) in the area close to Churchill (Canada).
Nowadays the firm gets a score of 3.6 over 5 and that rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can read, it reaches an reviews average is very high, and it's based on a high number of feddbacks, so we can say that the assessment is quite reliable. If many people have bothered to leave their opinion when they are satisfied with the service, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to write tatings when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Scrap Yards corresponds to the category of Recycling center.
First time here. Good straight forward fast process.
Is no longer WISE they are now Atlas Metal Recycling and unfortunately do not take cardboard.
Quick service
worse place to take your scrap metal
I have been going there for years, PC/HD/ram.. They are no good. There prices always seems to jump around. I will go eles where. The can't keep any of there employees, that should be a clue. Someone different every time. Wise recycling in Aurora is a solid thumds down. I will not do business there again.
Always great service especially at the scale office. Go Red Sox!!

Had a lot of stuff and they were friendly and patient
Make sure you know what your scrap is or they'll get ya
Love it here
They got to me in a jiffy. Answered my simple questions and I was on my way.
Not really open hours posted. Call and check first, have seen lots of people sitting around the parking lot waiting for them to open
Great location great service always good prices I feel it's worth it to go here.
I absolutely give my highest recommendations and referrals to Wise Recycling on Chambers. I am proud to claim them as my only source for top dollar recycling, and also as friends. I always receive the highest level of service...... and I love those Two Dollar Bills & Fifty Cent Pieces!!!!
It was very quick and the guy that helped me was very responsive and on top of things. Seemed he knew the flow of everything and was a very friendly individual. The process was quick and smooth and I got the price before I turned in my copper and it stayed that price after I turned in my copper.
Wise is a great place. It is a great place to reycycle and you guys should go.Angel a worker was great he was nice and everything. Very knowledgeable & friendly. Thanks for a great experience with my Grandkids.
I brought in all THHN copper wire and despite me telling the guy running the scale twice what it was, he entered it in as #2 copper insulated worth a fraction of the price. Then he quickly dumped the wire before I had a chance to argue. I had a small amount but still cheated me out of about 20 bucks! Going to look elsewhere next time.
It's not just them they just don't pay enough to recycle anymore
Confusing. Went to recycle aluminum cans and was confused on where to go. Found out it's single file line setup. After my turn, has to pull up to the pay window only to find out I have to get back in my car to park again as pay window only gives you change. You have to go to another room inside and get the dollar bills from an ATM even though I just got the coins from an actual person. Prices for recycling do seem on the low side but still fair.

Waste of time going here. Better off taking scraps to other facility that will pay more...
Is give them.all five stars because they pay the best, their policies are the best and their employees have always been fair with me. The one.thing that i thonk is BS is the no walk in rule. I have to pay a taxi 20.00 to make it worth their while to drive me fifty feet through the gate..i can't ride my bike or walk in at Atlas because of their no walk in policy though i can at any other scrap yard besides them if I want to take.a significant hit on my payout. The other yards dont.have thisnpoliciy buy they either. Have other unfair policies designed to rip you off (Action is the worst next to Denver Scrap) or their rates are so low that you lose significant money, enough that paying 20.00 to.ride fifty feet is acceptable
Great
I decided to give a different recycling facility a try. I was greeted with respect upon arrival; however, that respect slowly declined as the visit went on. The unloading process was slow. I had a lot of different scrap metals, but still slower than what it is at other recycling facilities in the area. The process of reviewing my cash was also very tedious. But worst of all, prices were quite awful—only 70% of what I am used to. I will not return, and I advise to check out other recycling yards I'm the general area...
7.50 for a whole truck load of steal..... what a joke... I'll neve go back
Quick and easy. Better system than other scrap yards. Drive through. It was not busy when I went, early on a Monday morning.
The bad reviews seem to be from people who expect to strike gold recycling and are bitter about it. I frequently use Wise for all sorts of material and have none of the problems described. Yeah a Saturday may be busy but never longer that 20mins. For seeming understaffed the workers are always pleasant, some are pretty friendly and focused on moving people along. No need to go anywhere else.
Very friendly service
Avoid this place at all cost. Took in pre-waited 6061 aluminum that was 280 pounds. I was told I had 220 pounds. The guy said maybe it was wet when I waited it. Completely refused to re wait my bags. This place will steal from you and lie to your face.
Gabe is great!
Brought in 2 catalytic converters off my firebird with custom kooks exhaust, they told me they were motorcycle catalytic converters. While trying to look up motorcycle cats another employee very rudely told me to move my car. I took my cats back and left. I would throw away $100 worth of copper before I took it to these crooks.
I went during peak hours but the staff was helpful.
This was my first time here though my husband had been here a few times. Gabe was the person who helped me and he was very nice and informative. Helped unload and sort since I didn't do it quite right and didn't act like it was a burden to do so. Will definitely be back. I would say payout is definitely fair.
Beware
An efficient run operation.
It's quick and convenient to drop off your scrap. But everybody is always In a bad bad mood. Except the lady at the scale window.
Decent spot to "trade in" your metal. They seem fair and offer competitive compensation. The first time you visit though, can be quite confusing of how to navigate thru their simple metal-drop-off-area and use the scale. But I have recognized the area your tires drive upon, is regularly kept clear so no shards of metal would puncture your tires.
Today is 02.15.2020. I was in and out, 4 cent's cheaper the one in denver but that's okay I leave near by. Well here's what happend the second time I came over same day ,I didn't check my receipt and instead off $2.10 a pound for # 1 bb copper I got 1.98 for the same #1 bb copper. Always call and ask about the price ahead. Was under paid. Why?I'll be back Monday to have this handled right.
Always good to take my scrap to. Just have to remember the price of metal fluxuates.
El servicio es bien rapido, los precios son bajos Service is really fast but the prices are pretty low, but hey is not gold what they buy
Very friendly and helpful employees, the yard is also very clean compared to other scrap yards. They also have a building u drive into to take your nonferrous materials so u don't get wet when it's raining or when it's very hot, best scrap yard I've ever been to, and I've been to a lot!!
Super nice people work there.
Efficient recycling of soda cans
I have been here before and there is a line of vehicles once in a while, but the line does move quickly. Missing one star due to my speculation that the scales are not accurate. I would like to see a digital number on a scale when taking in aluminum cans.
I don't understand the negativity I had a great experience here. Fair prices and I was in and out in a couple minutes.
Staff was Great & helpful.
They will pay you 22 cents for a pound. Received $10 for 50 pounds of cans. Rip off. Don’t come
I have a question do we get paid to give the metal or just recycle they
Nasty, rude workers. My wife brought in the exact same amount of copper one week as I did the week following. Hers weighed 28 lbs while mine weighed 12. Lol the guy tried arguing with me so in my wife went the next week and again she was given a weight of 21 lb(not quite the 28lbs) but I was given a weight of 11 lbs the next week . They're constantly lying and cheating People. And the rudeness you'll encounter here is second to none.
Been bringing recycled cans here for years and years functioning under different ownership. I brought twice as many cans for recycling following wishbone Channing. Received pennies on the dollar compared to prior visits. A packed SUV with 48 pounds garnered a mere $12. I had expected twice to triple that based on experience
Good experience in the past until today, have almost 200 lbs of aluminum can, 3 guys just walked around. Asking for helps and being told it is self- service and I have to rip the bags and pour into the scale (with the tall cage on it ) by myself. Called the manager to making sure if it have been changed from the full service to the self service recycle buying. Nobody answer, the voice mail is full. It is very abnormal for any business without clear policy how to manage it.
Terrible took 1000 pounds of number 2 insulated copper in there. After i had dumped the wire with no help they only gave me 64cents a pound and blamed trump for how low the price of copper was. Should of called around never been ripped off so bad.
Buying grave markers that are probably stolen is about as lame as you can get. I'm sure there is a special place in hell for this place!
This place is awful, they are very inconsistent on their pricing and the lowest in town. We went to another place and we got way more for our recycling.
I like it. Fast service and nice people
Never come to this place they rip you off!! Worst place around. I came in and they put down the things that I got as a different, much cheaper metals and didn’t even put down half the things I had. I tried going back and telling them of the mistake instead of owning up to their mistakes they outright told me they weren’t wrong in any of it. Soon after they hung up on me and stopped answering my phone calls. Don’t come here they are not honest and they are thieves!!!
Easy in and out. Open on Saturday
Sucks. Trying to rip people off. Really.
Worst place ever very rude employees I've never had such horrible service in my life there. I won't as well as everyone I let know will not return to this facility...
Says 4:30 for closing time. But close the gates at 4:15 while I'm in the line to go in... Gotta close right on time...
It's always been good when I use the facility.... procedure is pretty standard....
Definitely pays the most in town as far as Ive experienced, sometimes by relatively quite a bit. Most of the employees (with the exception of one bad apple although luckily I dont seem to encounter very often) are really friendly, helpful and unlike pretty much anywhere else they'll actually take the time to educate you on sorting and ultimately getting the highest payouts. Will absolutely pick Atlas Aurora every time without hesitation!
Quick efficient unloading. Friendly staff. Good people. Easy access.
Prices for scrap medals At Atlas Recycle Money How much Happy
know I got jacked stripped copper first time 15 lb second time there know it was almost twice the much I took the first time but still only 15 lb never taking my copper there again!!!
good but that no walk in service not right
Cleanest scrap metal yard you will find. No touch during this time. In and out is fast
Ive been going here for 6 years now. And the only thing I can find wrong with this place is that on weekends they rarely open on time.
Great place to take your metal for cash
I don't understand the bad reviews on here. Maybe they were different in the past, or maybe the reviewers don't know much about scrap metal and how to sort etc... Maybe they don't understand that the scrapyard is actually a customer since you are selling to them not the reverse. The people there are great! They pay much higher than another yard I had been going to almost exclusively in the past. I would have made so much more $ if I had been going here to begin with. They pay the most for non-ferrous like copper and aluminum of any yard I have sold to so far. So much more that I find it difficult to sell my non-ferrous to anyone else. I take my ferrous there as well. The one and only drawback is that they only have one vehicle scale so make sure you arrange your schedule to spend some time there because if it's crowded it can take a while, not because of the staff, but because they only have one large scale and they are a small - but very clean and organized yard.
That was an interesting visit today. I drove in as the arrows indicated and was instructed to pull forward, then stopped. Then I waited as multiple employees looked at me and went about their business. Finally Jesus asked what I needed. I pointed to the back and said I have three buckets (copper and brass) can you take them. Long story shirt he weighed them and gave a voucher. Other than unusually long wait it was a fairly good experience.
I am what you call a regular at scrap yards and this is my favorite one in Denver. That says a lot
Prices are down right now in the scrap yard business Atlas metal is Atlas metal
Nice if not a little gruff service, but fast turnaround and good prices.
First time there and they have Great service
$26 for my 470lbs of steel &aluminium... What a rip off !!!! !!!! Their gonna go out of business soon if they keep it up.
It was quick in and out but I ended up getting the wrong ticket and the wrong amount of money. I should of got paid for steal but instead I got paid for tin!!! Big difference in metal and price. I also didn't get my copper properly weighed on a scale it was by hand unfair.
I dont hate this place i just think theres beter deals out there i just got off the phone with a staff at this company and i told this person i have 150 pounds of aluminum and i asked about how much. She made her calculations and told me about 10 bucks i called other companies and they gave me a. Total difrent amount 50$ to 60$ so i say call other companies and see wich one is the best deal
Never had any surprises. It's pretty cut-and-dry what they do there. The guys are always moving and never standing around.I love all kinds of music but sometimes I have no desire for heavy metal. Hahaha see what I did there?
Id like to give a good review seeing all these bad reviews. Ive always found them to be the best price within cents of competitors. Never had a rude service, and i usually walk out with more than i expected
What a rip off..they speak selective English..cant answer questions when it comes to the things going in the customer's favor..I feel I was scammed by them..never again will I ever think about going there again.. stars for the efficiencies love being able to get in and out I have a good flow to the system
A truckload of steel only brought 9 dollars back in August last year. I got more for the Aluminum but don't bother bringing anything else they pay pennies on the dollar. I used to make the most money on steel.
Pretty easy to get in and get paid
CHEAP
Great place to get rid of your recyclable junk and get paid for it.
Awesome service, fast, easy.
They rocked!! In and out in a jiff. Bring all your unwanted metals.
BEWARE, Awful prices. Current prices should be posted!! You have no idea what you’ll get until your stuff gets weighed and you go to the cashier to collect, they give you dimes on the dollar. Brought in 160lb worth of high quality steel (8 brake rotors) and an AC Compressor, got $5.60. Should’ve got around $10 for the rotors alone. Fine if you dont have much stuff and just want it recycled instead of sending it to a dump but there are places that will give you more if you have a substantial amount of material.
I wanted to give these guys 5 stars. Every time I've visited, they were friendly and helpful. I was in and out with no problem whatsoever! Plus I'm glad to be rid of my recycling. So thank you for what you do Atlas Metal!
This place has really cleaned up, things are neat and orderly. In the past things have been a real mess but my recent visit sees floors swept good convenient flow to the process. Keep up the good work.
Weigh your stuff at home if you go here don't let them try and tell you 150 pounds of number one copper is only 66 pounds
Rude ladies in the office will not return the guys in the yard are professional
Low prices...
Great place to recycle. Friendly and helpful!
I just took 1040 pounds of aluminum, they paid 17 cents a pound when all other scraps metal yard are paying more than 30c a pound . Never coming back here again.they stole me more than $185.00 Dont come here
Great place of business
In and out to recycle aluminum cans. Great employees working there.
Quick and easy system. Looks like they take any recycling items. Receive your from a no fee ATM.
Great place to recycle all the aluminum cans we have been collecting!
They drop the prices over the summer, it doesn't pay to scrap anymore.
Rip offs I had about 50 lbs of 1/4 inch thick aluminum sheet i got less then 11.00 Dude on the scale just guessed the weight of my copper and brass. Was in a hurry didnt have time for the games. It wasnt going to make or break me its just principal. Don't waste your time there. If i could give 0 stars I would.
Orderly operation, got rid of a stack of scrap metal and saved $87 versus going to the dump!
Good friendly convenient in and out recycle place
Very good
Great place. Beverly and Jose a good people that work there.
