Unimpressed. As a first time visitor, I had no idea what to do. The staff wasn't helpful, and made a smart comment about me not knowing what to do. The price I got for my 500 lbs of aluminum was 70% of what I was quoted over the phone just a week before. I spent considerable time making sure to not have any iron mixed in. I am not sure if I was dinged for that. I drove over 30 minutes to get here for the better rate I was quoted, but I should have just gone to the place 10 minutes from my house.

I took some scrap out there one afternoon after tearing off a roof. This guy (Ben or Benjamin, I think) noticed that I had a roofing nail in my tire. Before I could even call AAA, the guy had my Tacoma jacked up, asking for the wheel lock adapter. A+ sir.

This is my favorite scrap metal spot in Colorado, and I go well out of my way to take my items there. I find this yard to be friendly, efficient, and to have great rates. You have to walk up some stairs to load your scrap on a cart, but the lines have always felt fair and fast-moving. Just be advised that they don't take new customers a half hour before the posted closing time on Saturdays!

I go here exclusively to scrap metal like copper. There are scales to way it in a couple of different buildings. Watch where you drive to avoid any metal scraps on the ground but they have some of the best prices and you can quickly get paid from an ATM there in cash.

Alright this place was great in the beginning but soon realized (by saving recipes) my boyfriend and I have been getting ripped off from the beginning, gradually lower the price on you until you catch them. Long year with them writen in a few sentences. We bring them almost $600 a week (how we make our living)and they always try to wrongfully write up the lowest possible, behind the glass chicks excuse today " oh my bad I didn't see that the other recipe was on top", then what exactly were you writing scrap not clean? $150 difference, million dollar business and their stealing from the homeless

Been going here for Decades, off and on throughout the years as needed during rough patches in my life. Quick, easy, nice, laid back, but still with a sense of urgency in their work. I don't know WHAT was up with that dude who's wife said an employee stated 'women aren't allowed back here', but I DO know it's complete balder dash. Half the people I see back there are women, many of them working alone or in groups with other women; was probably told to them by someone who wasn't an actual employee. They've gotten so kickass, the competition has to use corporate sabotage to keep up??? And they even manufacture their own steel products on site; steel cable I believe, how's THAT for supporting the Colorado economy? Stay awesome guys!

And she told by some employee there that they don't normally allow woman there, and when she asked where she take the brass he laughed at her, I called the office and asked what the problem was and was told pretty much that my wife is a list... will not return to this DUMP again..

When I visit a business' website and call it, I expect to be able to discover the terms under which it does business. After doing both and travelling out of my way, Atlas refused to recycle my aluminum cans because I had not arrived in a car. At the scale office I was told to wait outside the gate and someone would bring me in -- yet more miscommunication! After another call, it turned out that Atlas had been trying to suggest hitching a ride into the yard in someone else's vehicle. Amazingly stupid!

Great customer service! We showed up just after 4pm when they closed with a 14' dump trailer full, but they allowed us to weight our steal and aluminium, dump them seperately, and then pick up a check. They could have easily turned us away, but they didn't. Prices are great and this is our new scrap metal yard going forward!

Horrible organization. We came in with a 16ft box trailer and was NOT given any direction just pointed fingers. This was our first time visiting. Thank god we are cdl drivers and could maneuver our trailer with ease because we had to back up and turn around at least 8 times in very tight allies with limited space. We will not visit again.

These people are snakes, I took in over 3000 pounds of copper today ( I weighed it before I went) and they gave me a weight of 540 lbs when I realized this I went to go tell them to kick rocks and give me my copper back and they already were in the process of dumping it. It really makes me wonder how these people sleep at night. I had been saving up copper for 5 years sorting it to make sure I got all the #2 and #1 separated just to have them screw me over. Tldr take your scrap to a more local shop that has respectable employees as they will give you less than half the value of what you bring in.

Atlas should be the one to petition some changes (BY THE IDIOTIC LEGISLATURE) insofar as the policy of WHO can come into the yard, and by WHAT means of transport----in a car, truck (which IS allowed), BUT NO ONE ON FOOT WITH A SHOPPING CART, OR WITH A TRAILER ATTACHED TO A BICYCLE. Not everyone HAS a damn vehicle. Don't you understand this? And, do you even care? I doubt it.

I've been here many times to cash out scrap and usually get decent pay, but my most recent visit was not great. I know how much most of my scrap weighs and I got paid less than half of what I usually bring in which is roughly 100lbs give or take. My last visit I brought in closer to 200lbs and got paid out less than my 100lbs visits. I called and was told that the receipt was correct but I feel like most people know what their weight is. There is a huge difference between 100lbs and 200lbs and I feel like I got hosed on this last visit.

BEWARE Called ahead of time to find out what price they where paying for brass. I told them what I had just what I had in detail and they gave me a price. I arrived there and they looked at my brass and dumped it to be weighted and then I was told they would only pay about half of what they told me on the phone.

Always call this yard first, but watch your tires!!! Usually have the best prices for copper/brass and cast iron. The only downfall is debris in the main yard, so be careful you don't puncture a tire driving through. Also don't bring a trailer unless you are proficient in reverse! The yard is always very busy with customers (often confused) and machinery, which can cause some tight situations sometimes.

Well run. They lose a star because they make you get your cash from an ATM and then charge you $3 for the "privilege". But if you know that going in then you can't fault them. I just didn't know until I got my receipt. The machine rounded the change down (it was $0.87) and the. Took off the $3. So really I was out almost $4.

I went to this place to sell about half 26 feet truck of. Clean aluminum and dirty too as well alt cast iron to my surprise the guys cheking. The stuff wanted to go home so dint even bother to separated. Anything put most of my things as dirty i could it .Go somewhere else and get about 1,000 dollars for everything instead i got 300 dollars very dishonest people will never go there again very disappointed
