Came in to have plastic doorhandle welded, found out I was missing a part! These guys figured out how to rig something up so I can open my car door. Brilliant, no fuss, affordable service. Thanks Alex, now I don't have to wedge my old a** over the shift stick to get in the driver's seat.
It sounds like you need to catch them on a slow day. I saw Alex with the headset everyone is reviewing but called in first and had no issues. He called me back in 30 to say the parts were ready and when I picked them up, they were exactly what I wanted, brand new and cheaper than any of the other quotes I got. I did wait about a minute for him to finish up a call before he got to me, but I was at a parts store to replace a broken strut, not an emergency room with a bullet wound.... where actually, the wait would have been significantly longer.
Great place to find all the auto parts you need. Excellent prices compared to other places. You can get new and used parts.
Was open on the weekend and saved the day.
Look at the reviews... brutal! I posted earlier about the "Guy on the phone" and they give some BS reply about how busy they are how concerned they are that everyone drives safe this winter!! You only wish that I had stuck around...Why would I?! I stood there and watched you answer 2 calls after you started helping me...and the 2 ladies in the office just rolled their eyes at you! Come on! Your reviews say it all. Enough said! If I could give a negative I would!
Ordered parts and paid more then I should have cause it was supposed to be cleaned and it came in damaged and was broken. Also was charged a shipping fee even tho I wasn't informed about it. I strongly recommend everyone to never go to this place unless you want to be ripped off.
Friendly staff, just wish they had more tires to pick from with better tread.
Wow!! A treasure trove of auto parts. A winnipeg must see
I think they broke my axle when loading it onto tow truck or flat bed took apart my front end , i went there its in peices which I have not givin them permission to do so, been waiting for over a week for this truck to be serviced obiously not a place to bring anything too !
This is one of the most incredible authentic automotive recyclers shop you will ever find anywhere! This place is the real deal. I guess that is not surprising because Allied is one of the first shops of it's kind in Canada. Alex has always been there for us with any car problems of parts for decades now , even my grandparents went to Allied back in the day. Alex gives 100% and is always calm , helpful and super knowledgable. It doesn't get better than than this !
Awful experience... so let me start off, I work at a dealership in parts. I work very heavily with recyclers and get to know them very well. So to speak I have been around the block and done the rodeo. So today I called Allied looking for parts for a vehicle. To my surprise, not once or twice, but three times I got hung up on. I took ownership and thought maybe It was just on my end with a faulty connection. So I used a different phone and called them back. Told them the same info as before and heard my answer from the gwntle man on the phone. As I was replying back he hung up the phone yet again. I will not work with them and I will encourage others to avoid Allied Auto Parts if you want to save your self from frustration and head ache. Go to LKQ or Team auto... or even mountain or gills instead.
Worst place ever! First time they got me the wrong part and second time i got probably one from the scrapyard from alberta with over a week waiting time and shipping costs, which they didnt tell me. I will never go there again!!
While they did work hard to get me the parts I needed, they were not very flexible on pricing when I was shipped the wrong part (their error) and have to pay the shipping twice over to send the correct one.
Wish I could have give zero stars, charge me double for a windshield and pack it in a cardboard box to ship without additional padding and protection. I will show pictures of how they pack the glass
Great place
Friendly and professional services provided.
Called them up numerous times for a specific part, and needles to say they never called me back with an answer. Poor customer service!!
They ordered a door handle in for me for my vehicle which I had to prepay, when it came in it was damaged and they tried to make me pay again to bring another one in.
Great place as well
Not very friendly in the parts area. Actually was pretty rude.
Best auto parts place in all of Winnipeg. Great service . A great find. highly recommend.
I ordered 2 tail lights for a vehicle and I was quoted $223 for both parts. Shipping would be extra when I picked them up. I ended up getting charged $456 to my Visa! They said the parts he quoted me were not available so he just went ahead and ordered me 2 others. No phone call, no heads up nothing. This place is a TOTAL SCAM DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!
Don't bother! I walked in and the lady says you need to speak to the guy in the corner with the headset on....he's on the phone. He ends the call with the guy on the phone and asks if he can help me. I start to tell him what parts I need and the phone rings...he answes it and starts searching parts for the guy on the phone! Then his cell rings and he puts the guy on the phone on hold and starts searching parts for the guy on the cell!! I say to the lady I guess I should have called in! She says he's a control freak. Cya! I won't be back!!
Needed a steel rim for my daughters Mini Cooper snow tire. Checked a few places and they couldn't help me. Was refered to Allied Auto Parts and it was a smooth and simple transaction once I talked to Alex. He made a few calls and made sure it had the perfect fitment and he said he could have it for me the next day. Price was very reasonable and had it the next morning. Installed and balanced the tire as well for only a additional $20. Very happy with the service and price and would not hesitate to shop there again. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, Alex knows his stuff. Thanks again.
Fast, officiant and to the point.
Waited 6 weeks for heated seat module they said they were brining in from AB. Called 3 times, waited weeks in between, never got a call back. Will never use them again, complete waste of my time, zero customer service.
Go anywhere but here. You’ve been warned. Buyer beware.
I am a backyard mechanic and have been going to allied auto for many years as I've repaired or rebuilt more cars than i can count. Often, I've just called on them for technical advice. they have always been able to supply excellent used parts and have saved me a TON of cash. These guys have been at it a long time. The depth of their technical automotive knowledge and parts detail is beyond impressive, and that matters to me - saves me time, hassle, and money over and over again.
Looked all over Manitoba through wreckers and tire shops for an older unusual Ford rim that nobody could find, called here and they found it quickly and gave me good price. Very friendly and helpful, refreshingly oldschool
Great
I went there to get a part refurbished. I was given a verbal quote range over the phone and passed along the part to the owner along with a deposit. The owner contacted me a week later informing me that the part was done and that though price was higher than the quoted range, it was "not enough to mortgage the house". Red Flag The part failed within months (under warranty). After returning the part to the owner and explicitly informing him to do NO work until I sign off on it as I did not want to spend any more money on the vehicle. I waited three weeks and heard nothing. After initiating contact with the owner, he explained that it was the vehicles' doing after the mechanic "tested" the part. Fair enough, though I question why this test was not conducted the first time the part was submitted in order to find the origin of the problem? Regardless, he went ahead and replaced the defective component AGAINST my EXPLICIT instructions and is now demanding cash for for the return of the part. Avoid dealing with this business and they under quote, over charge and do not listen to the wishes of the customer.
Beware. This place is a scam. I got a rear window for my truck from them. The glass shop said it was unusable, as it was badly pitted from what looked like welding splatter. When I tried to return the defective glass, Allied would only give a $100 store credit, saying the shipping and labour to remove it wasn't refundable. Nice that they can sell scrap parts and still keep half the money after it's returned. Look at the other honest reviews. Any problems are never their fault. Any extra fees are never refunded because they won't take responsibility for sourcing junk. Wrong item shipped? Too bad. Defective item shipped? Too bad. Might as well buy your parts sight unseen on the big auction site if you're taking your chances anyway. Or just use the popular car part website that lists other wreckers and cut out the middle man.
First time here. It's okay for parts.
Locally owned specializing in older models as well as new models good service
Needed a part that now where else had in the city and pops found it and got it the same day great place to go what a beauty
Works hard for your satisfaction
Friendly staff and Alexander knows his stuff. Fairly priced for parts n the techs are knowledgeable.
Go anywhere but here.
Always good service n get discounts here.
Alex can always find you something if needed
Bought a core for an awd vehicle and it was faulty, spent a lot of money on diagnostic tests because Alec said its was the car. ALLIED AUTOMOTIVE will not assume liability for parts they sell that are faulty. Instead they will attempt to place blame on the vehicle, well I have all the documents to prove in a court of law its not my car. ALEC also fraudulently debited my credit card after the initial purchase for additional tax, after my initial transaction and without previous consent. Do not allow them access to your credit card.
Am 61 yrs old - have been coming here with my Dad and on my own as long as I can remember - recall the days when there was a ton of vehicle on or about the lot waiting to be stripped - have ALWAYS been able to find what I need and ALWAYS very pleased with quality and price. Use their staff to install items at a fraction of what the dealers charge - this is also my place for USED auto glass - have always found what I need and they take care of the MPI paperwork - have got better results from here that most of the glass installers. With the cost of auto parts today - this place is even a better deal now than it ever was! The mainstay - 'Alex' is amazing...
ABSOLUTE CROOKS. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!! DON'T GET YOUR "TRANNY REBUILT" here - These guys "rebuild transmissions" by painting and cleaning them , lol and then they give you a guarantee for the transmission you already had to begin with, they DON'T actually rebuild your transmission. When asked about it, they say ... " it saves us money in the long run since if people's transmissions don't actually break within the guarantee period then we save money by not having to rebuild a transmission. And in the odd case the transmission breaks we then replace it. " DON'T GET WORK DONE HERE- maximum crooks!!! These guys will keep your car in the shop FOR HOURS, claiming "they are working on it" , just to rack up shop hours on a slower day. Although a job may take 1 hour, they will pretend it's taking 6 or 8 and they will literally make you wait so they can make more money. DON'T ORDER PARTS - God FORBID you order parts from them. Although they may have the parts in stock already, these guys literally will claim that they need to order the part in and then charge you a stock fee/ shipping fee a couple days later so you pay them more. DON'T BOTHER ASKING FOR ADVICE - Seen a guy ask if a specific door will fit his car and they actually charged him money since they claim "they have to buy books to know that information" so they charge for advice... Literally in business to screw anybody out of a nickel or dime, Seriously just disgusted by this business.... It's a shame businesses like these are actually supported by the people of Winnipeg . There are plenty of places that give honest business and this is not one of them . Crooks.
