Very rude staff and not willing to help with the simplest of things. Asked today about a relay that I'm pretty sure I need for my wipers and wanted to pop it in my fuse box to check and make sure 100% but was told that they are not a test center and don't do repairs. This is not the first time that I had a bad experience with these people either. About a year ago I got a caliper for a Chevy S10 and the bleeder bolt was seized on (any reputable wrecker makes sure they are operational) and I ended up having to drill it out and tap new threads costing me a lot more time for the job. They will never see another dime from this guy.

Watched a video of the owner talking to an unsatisfied customer. The owner posted the man’s phone number and Facebook information on the google review response.. I guess if you ever have a problem with the way this guy does business, he’s not interested in taking responsibility, just defending himself. The call wasn’t even about a car part, it was about removing personal information. The owner stated he would remove this mans personal information IF he deleted the bad review; very unprofessional in my opinion. I don’t know much about technology so I’m not sure how to reply to your response however; your response proves my first review. Zero accountability. You basically just painted yourself in a bright light and tried to justify posting personal information because of a bad review. The only time I had ever heard someone mention your name prior to seeing that video was a story from a friend of mine whose mother stopped by your business one day to inquire about a car part (which actually made me laugh after reading your response and how “wonderfully” you treat women) She said there was a miscommunication because apparently they made two very similar cars in the same year that required a different part (she didn’t know which one she needed) she said that you talked to her like “an idiot” and made her so upset she left shaking. You didn’t hold the door for her, that’s for sure. As for the police reports, the Facebook post states that someone called that man back PRETENDING to be an opp officer. At which point they contacted glencoe opp and we’re informed no such report had been made, and no calls were made from them. Either way in my opinion any reputable business owner would have removed the mans personal information from a public forum and went on with his life. You’re the one who said so many people call in to tell you how wonderful you are, what’s a few bad reviews?

Emailed regarding a part on their website, provided shipping quote, when I emailed back regarding pictures he said he wasn't interested in shipping because he was "too busy" I left it for a week and asked if he had time to ship it and if there was a price that made more sense to him given his time constraints. He was very rude saying "are you kidding me?" because he thought I was asking for money off. It costs nothing to be polite. The impression he gave was he couldn't be bothered to sell to me even at regular price nevermind even more than listing.

I have dealt with Glencoe a few times and the experience has always been positive! I wanted to purchase a replacement stereo for my mini van back a bit because the LED display was gone. Darin told me that this was a common problem with those stereos and if I replaced it I could run into the same issue. He talked me out of buying something from him! That is fantastic business!!!!

Glencoe Auto wrecker have always been good with me when looking for parts, If Darin doesn't have a part for you he will do the shopping for you, anyone leaving a neg comment i would question why, Glencoe Auto are an honest business providing a service, if there is an issue they will resolve it as they did for us, when we purchased a part it was the wrong one , after doing a little research discovered the the wrong part was sent to them, my mistake was i didn't confirm it before i left the auto wreckers, mistakes can be made and resolve without drama IMO. I will alway give glencoe Auto first crack just for their years of experience and honesty
