They phoned me and made an offer of 1000$ on my Vehicle and said they would be by to pick it up at 6:00 PM They instructed me to take the insurance off the vehicle ,and I assumed it would be a done deal . When they finally arrived at 7:20 ,the driver pretty much scoffed at the vehicle and claimed they only buy 100-200$ cars He Eventually offered me 600$ ,and when I said no he got in his truck to talk to his boss and drove away not getting rid of the car . The price of the vehicle means little to me ,I do not need the money, but on principle this company put me in a position to not be able to park the car on the street or have any potential buyers test drive it cause it now has no registration or insurance. I will be giving the car to a charity like kidney foundation and I suggest anyone else thinking of using this service does the same .

I called to get my scrap car picked up and the dispatcher blatantly lied to me three times. First he guaranteed that the car would be picked up in 30 minutes. I waited an hour and called again. Told me that it would be 20 minutes. I again waited an hour and dispatch told me he would give me extra money for waiting. When the driver finally showed up he had no knowledge of the dispatcher saying that and could only give me 100$. Which I understand it's an immobile car, but i would've accepted 100 if they didn't waste my morning. Worst experience I've had with scrappers.

Wish we had read the reviews first. Promised us $200 for 3/4 ton pick up truck. Tow truck driver told us he doesn't pay when he tows truck we have to go to them for our money. My husband spoke to Calgary Auto Salvage on the phone and the guy said oh no we only pay $100 - my husband then drove to Calgary to see the guy but the address on Google is wrong. Tried to phone them for their address and got verbal abuse and hung up on.

Scam artists!! If I could take away all the one stars that everyone else gave, including the one I had to give, I would. Got a quote for them to pick up a scrap car.. it was okay.. they called back with a little bit lower quote, which fine okay.. we wanted it gone... when they showed up and started towing the car.. the amount was then dropped in half. Tried to call back and got hung up on... worst company ever! Even better, they advertise lowest is $200... we got a quarter of that. Do not use them!!!

I Made an appointment to have my SUV picked up the following day at 11:00 a.m.I Was promised $300.00 They never bothered to call or show up. VERY SKETCHY DO NOT USE Also doing business as Calgary Auto Salvage. Filled out the form online for a quote. Explained the kms and the transmission issue with the car to ensure I was transparent. Wrote I would like $2,000 or best offer. I received an email back saying “I’ll take it for 2000”. I replied and said you have a deal and arranged to meet them where the car was that day. (Email is in photos for reference). Upon arriving he starts the car and says best I can do is $400 cash. I explained you only just started the car how can you go from $2,000 to $400? The car runs and drives why the drop when you started it? Showed him the email of him saying he would take it for $2,000 and the emails of us talking with his phone number attached. He kept saying he never said that yet I had the emails or else we wouldn’t of wasted our time. He continued to low ball the entire time and then once we settled on a lower price he said I’ll test drive it and if it drives I’ll give you x amount which we then agreed. He came back from the test drive said it was all good and spoke to his “boss” (he spoke to his "boss" may times). I start filling out the bill of sale and he jumped in his truck says he cant do the deal, tried to give us $20 for Starbucks? and drove away. Also kept saying through the interaction that his gf was in the truck and hes a trust worthy guy because he could tell we were starting to feel uncomfortable about the situation. But when he went for the test drive we saw no one was even in the truck. At one point we were wondering if he would come back with the car. When he took off with the car he was driving erratically out of the parking lot and we weren't sure what was going on. The entire interaction was sketchy and a waste of time. Wish I read the other reviews but sounds like its the same circumstance with others.

Don't trust this outfit, offered X, and said it was 'guaranteed'. Called and talked to him beforehand about all the bad reviews and said don't bother coming if you're going to offer less when you get here. What does he do when he shows up? Offers less than what was agreed upon. I'd rather set my car on fire than sell to them.

Paul's towing was terrible. Absolutely terrible. This guy towed my girlfriends car and destroyed the oil pan. It was a Volkswagen Golf and since they are so low to the ground they require special treatment when being put on the flatbed to ensure the oil pan isn't damaged. He messed up, which happens, but he didn't own up to it. The dealership to which the car was towed took the helm and tried to get him to see the damage and pay to for the repair. He wouldn't even come to the dealership after the damage was found to look at it. He said he would, but never showed. Not recommended at all.

Worst company ever. Over the phone, we were told we would get more than the $200.00 stated on their website. After waiting for 1 1/2 hour, they would only pay $150.00 because our van was supposedly in such bad shape that it was worth NOTHING and would get scrapped anyways. At that point we were just in a hurry and wanted it gone but in hindsight, we would have been happier to just donate it. Our own fault that we did not read any reviews first. There are other companies out there that seem to be much better to do business with! Update: As it turns out, our van is still on the road so now this company apparently are blatant liars as well.

I ended up selling my old station wagon to them. The selling process was easy, they arrived at my home on time and made everything super fast. I obviously could have obtained a bit better price selling it locally to a private party, but I didn't want to waste any time attempting that. Additionally, my highly used car had some serious damage on it, so it was pretty much junk which would have been super hard to organize removal or sell it without help. Steven the tow truck driver who came out to the decrepit car was very likable, paid me out on the spot, And his smile made me believe that everything was copacetic. He had a positive attitude and provided good customer service. I utterly recommend Cash for Cars Calgary when you need to sell or remove your car fast, and with no headaches

Called them to get a vehicle removed . Sent them pictures they sent me a quote for vehicle . Made appointment for 10am to pick up never showed called at 1030 said gonna be 3 hours . I waited 3 hours called them wondering where they were. He then said that actually they didn’t want it .

Fantastic experience!! I phoned them yesterday and described my old car and informed them that the engine is dead. The business owner promised to come pick it up next day at 10 am and promptly today he was here to load it up for free. He paid me for the vehicle too, (amazingly, since it's a very old car, badly beat up, with little options for reusable, recyclable parts!) I highly recommend him for the ease of disposing of this car, honest assessment and remaining true to his word - if I knew it was this simple I would have had it towed away 6 months ago! Thank you very much!!!

If I could give negative stars I would. DO NOT use Paul's towing unless you want damage and denial from the company. While they did tow my car, they slashed my oil pan in the process. Fifth Avenue VW took photos with chain marks near slash and contacted Paul's towing. They originally agreed to come in to view the damage and then did not and denied responsibility. Now I am left without a car as the $700 charge to replace oil pan on top of the other repairs are too much. Use at your own risk, I highly recommend using a company that will values their customers and follows proper business etiquette.

I rang first thing in the morning to see what I might need in order to junk my very old car. Paul was quick to respond via phone and text. Very quick, professional, and convenient. When I had the necessary paperwork ready he was at my Calgary home, and towing my “piece of junk” away, and for FREE within 25 min. I would definitely recommend them and would definitely use again if needed!

So i called the number last night and after telling him what i have the guy said 800 and i had told him it was a 5000 dollar car so he told me to call in the morning so i did and all i got was no you never talked to me and hung up and every attempt it either goes to voicemail or he answers and i start talking and he hangs up. Worst customer service i have ever delt with. and i see why now reading all the reviews.... Key thing if it says less than 3 stars dont bother with the company. And it looks like the 5 star reviews are people with fake profiles with very little reviews. Gotta love family and friends helping your reviews but honestly you guys do not deserve even a 2 star

Don't bother going or calling! I was quoted $300 dollars sight unseen, no questions asked when I called the office. When I got down to the agreed location, which I was expecting to be the office, I could not find them, as the company is located in a completely different location. I called looking for the proper address. I was told that I should have called an hour ahead, and then was told they would be there in 1/2 an hour. 2 1/2 hours later they finally showed up, and offered me less than their lowest price on the website. The highest they would go up to was $200 "because I had waited so long". They also tried to pressure my witness to agree with them. Needless to say they did not get my business and I do not recommend dealing with them!

I do not usually write reviews, although this company needs to be know. I put my junk car on kijiji and received multiple offers, but Calgary Auto Salvage offered above my asking price because of this. The said they would be at my house at 6, no negotiations, cash in hand, with a bill of sale and a tow truck. They kept texting me they would be there in 10 minutes, which turned into an hour of waiting. The guy showed up not knowing the amount that was discussed and called 'Chad' to discuss the price we had verbally agreed on. Chad then told me that we agreed on a price that was $1500 less than what was agreed, and the guy ran off. Please do not use this company.

I called this company to pickup my car that had broken down on the side of the highway. It was hard to pull out and on a busy area, but I really appreciated that they came to pick it up. They came prepared with the tools necessary to get my car ready to tow: they removed the license plates for me and inflated a tire. The best part: they honoured the price that was quoted over the phone.
